Spiritomb
@ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpD / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Calm Mind
- Dark Pulse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
The idea of this set is to set up and win once the opposing team is weakened. Set is standard so I still wall Gallade and Tauros which scare out Weezing and Cradily. Tauros is less of a threat to this core, as I will explain later, but still scary if you allow Weezing to get chipped. Spiritomb is really threatening right now, as it can Rest stall Salazzle out of annoying Toxics, and you could even opt for Infiltrator to threaten it even more. Pressure is preferred though to stall Xatu out of Roosts and Defog, and trust me, it will need to use them. Also wanted Spiritomb because it gives this core a spin blocker, allowing Weezing’s TSpikes to stay up against teams with rapid spin as its only removal. A really good Pokémon alone, Spiritomb really shines when opposing teams weakened

Weezing
@ Black Sludge
Ability: Neutralizing Gas
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpD / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Sludge Bomb
- Will-o-Wisp
-Rest
Weezing is a beast, and even with the influx of Psychic Types in the tier (Xatu and Espeon) it is still a good mon that needs to be explored, ESPECIALLY this ability. I have been a Neutralizing Gas fan for awhile, but now it shines more than ever, because my Toxic Spikes will go up no matter what any Xatu or Espeon has to say about it. That allows the threats to Spiritomb such as Eggy A and Whimsicott to be worn down over time. NGas is also useful because it allows Weezing to function as a secondary Tauros check, removing its Sheer Force, making it take LO damage and it will become significantly weaker. It also gives you a grounded Poison type to absorb opposing Tspikes so that’s nice. This also beats on the rare SpD Clefairy, which actually takes Sludge Bombs like a champ. Set is pretty standard, opted forRest to heal off status and to give a full restore which if supported by Heal Bell or Aromatherapy can be free health. Rest also allows for more PP conservation, which is important on fatter teams.

Cradily
@ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rocks
- Toxic
- Recover
- Rock Blast
The sleeper pick of the team, Cradily gives a lot to fat teams. Although a betterSR setter is usually preferred, if you really need a water immune in a pinch Cradily is your guy. Massive SpD, able to eat a hit from Centiskorch and kill back with Rock Blast and more, Cradily is a decent pick. It also gives me a way to punish Xatu more by Rock Blast doing anywhere from 25-27 with 2 hits to 62-75 with 5. It forces roosts, which can be abused with the switch in to Pressure Spiritomb. It also gives you a blanket SpD wall which can eat hits from full health from the Dragons, and recover them off with ease. Would usually serve as a water immune, but be wary of Critdra v2 in Inteleon.
Conclusion:
A good core, specializing in annoying the hell out of Xatu and setting up hazards with ease. Works well, and although Cradily isn’t the best at the moment, given the requirements for the Core, it serves the perfect role as blanket SpD wall, complementing Weezing and Spiritomb very well.
