Metagame NU Beta Banlist updated

As long as NU stays in Beta, its banlist gets updated once a month. Note that this is the last month of a three-month update cycle, so even if NU goes official this month, there'll still be a tier update next month.

This banlist is based on May's RU Beta stats, June's RU Suspect test stats and the combined July stats for RU and the RU suspect test, using a baseline of 1630.

Only difference appears to be that Shiftry rose to RU.

I'm a bit disappointed that Gurdurr and Omastar didn't rise, since they are very good in RU and are seeing a lot of usage in high-level play, but oh well. Hitmonchan and Claydol not dropping is both hilarious and (moreso) depressing, but isn't that unexpected since for some reason people on the ladder in any usage-based tier love using garbage, hopelessly outclassed mons just because they happen to get Rapid Spin, even if they need to run a coverage move that they don't have room for just to be able to do more than 15% to the most common spinblocker in the tier and even then barely 4HKO it (yes, hitmonchan is seriously this bad)

Spiritomb was also a premier RU candidate in my opinion as it checks threatening Pokemon like Hitmonlee and Doublade and is arguably a more reliable spinblocker but I guess that Doublade is still best ghost;;;
Other stuff I thought it was close to dropping is Gastrodon and Cofagrigus but those will go down eventually.

It's the best Ghost to stop Cryo from going crazy, and should it leave then the Dusks would take over as the premier spinblockers, and ugh the Dusks suck D: I'd rather use Lampent. On the flipside, Malamar would rejoice seeing Tomb leave, while Gurdurr cries as it loses one of its most common setup fodder (Orphic Spiritomb =/= Gurdurr check hello?).

LOL yeah well it loses 1 on 1 but can wear it down a ton and is always just really annoying to play around

Shiftry rising to RU was a little surprising but tbh I kinda expected it since I saw quite a few Shiftry on the RU ladder. Shiftry is pretty good in RU as an offensive Defogger, and that's truly a unique niche for it when you consider that Gligar, Golbat, and Togetic are all mainly defensive.

Hoping for Hitmonchan to fall when the real tier shifts come. And Typhlosion being anywhere near the realms of Gurdurr, Omastar, Spiritomb, and Slurpuff, all of who actually have a niche in RU, is a joke and a travesty imo.
