Project NU Break This Core! (Week N/A: All cores are unviable; ban Flamigo)

I'mma just leave this mon here in the style of what was just banned from the tier :P

Medicham @ Life Orb
Ability: Pure Power
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt
- Fire Punch
- Bulk Up

This is mostly self-explanatory. Neither of the mons above want to switch into this monster, ESPECIALLY not tera'd.
The tera types are the only thing that really give it pause, and even then only really incineroars.
Vileplume does NOT want to eat anything this mon is dishing out. especially considering this calc.

252 Atk Pure Power Tera Fighting Medicham Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 254-302 (71.7 - 85.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

and incineroar can't OHKO with any move on that set, and cant switch in unless it is predicted on a zen headbutt on an already in vileplume, which is gonna get HURT from it.

trailblaze is the usual move to fix medicham's speed problem, but the set above outspeeds incin by 1 point, so I slotted bulk up on there to counteract the intimidates incineroar will get from switching in, and it allows it to tank incin's attack even better.

Well I'm going to keep my streak of pink nominations.

:Sv/Flamigo:

Flamigo @ Any Item
Ability: Scrappy
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Doesn't Matter

This mon can threat both mons ,ignore both Teras and can't get intimidated.

At neutral it comes really close to just win but between recoil and defense drops it is very close that with a good defensive tera use can avoid the clean up.

BUT AT +2

Honestly outside of a burn/crit from Flair Blitz wile we SD turn 1 I couldn't find a way that the core beats Flamigo.

At +2 it OHKO Incin no matter the type.

+2 252 Atk Tera Steel Flamigo Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Incineroar: 786-926 (199.4 - 235%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Tera Steel Flamigo Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tera Ghost Incineroar: 393-463 (99.7 - 117.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

And Plume can survive 1 turn but with our Tera steel it can't hit back even if you CC Incin before

+2 252 Atk Tera Steel Flamigo Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tera Steel Vileplume: 576-678 (162.7 - 191.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Annoying sableye set for both mons, neither is strong enough to take it down unboosted, and when it tries to boost you can encore. I dont think you should ever tera this mon, but Steel seems good for potentially abusing the rocky helmet on a tail slap.

Torn:

252 Atk Tornadus Acrobatics (55 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 72-85 (23.7 - 28%) -- 89.9% chance to 4HKO (on initial switchin)

Scary calcs, but knowing you can immediately wisp and prankster recover off the damage is nice. The chip from rocky helmet goes a long way too.

Cinccino:

+1 252 Atk Cinccino Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 111-131 (36.6 - 43.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Cincinno cannot come close to touching this thing.

Last slot:

I would prefer to have Night Shade over DP but not really possible considering Cinccino; DP does about the same as a night shade, little more to Cinccino and a little less to Torn.

8 SpA Sableye Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Cinccino: 93-109 (31.9 - 37.4%) -- 87.9% chance to 3HKO

8 SpA Sableye Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tornadus: 75-88 (25 - 29.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Also, foul play is a decent option into these sets, nuking torn whether or not it is boosted up.

252 Atk Sableye Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cinccino: 189-223 (64.9 - 76.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Neither of these guys can really touch you, Magnet Rise makes Tera Blast Ground a non-issue, Foul Play keeps up with your opponent as they attempt to boost, and you have Thunder Wave and Spikes for additional utility. Water is the traditional Klefki Tera, but we're going physically bulky here, in which case Ghost/Poison makes a bit more sense, particularly since Tail Slap and Hammer Arm are the moves doing the most damage.

Both can't touch you and if you start with TR you can just 2 hit both.

Of all possible paths it can take Diancie only lose to Crits or big reads like you take Tera Ground turn 1 and than the next turn they Acro while you Tera Grass turn 2.

hammer798's Klefki
:sv/Klefki: @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Ghost / Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Magnet Rise
- Thunder Wave
- Spikes

Neither of these guys can really touch you, Magnet Rise makes Tera Blast Ground a non-issue, Foul Play keeps up with your opponent as they attempt to boost, and you have Thunder Wave and Spikes for additional utility. Water is the traditional Klefki Tera, but we're going physically bulky here, in which case Ghost/Poison makes a bit more sense, particularly since Tail Slap and Hammer Arm are the moves doing the most damage.

Zangoose5000's Minior
:ss/minior-indigo:
Minior-Indigo @ White Herb
Ability: Shields Down
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
IVs: 30 HP
- Substitute
- Shell Smash
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake

With it's Meteor form, Minior can get off a Shell Smash against Tornadus and Cinccino, then deal with them with a +2 Acrobatics. As long as the Cinccino doesn't Tidy Up as you Shell Smash then click Encore the next turn, you're good to go. Tera Ghost is here if you need to become immune to Tail Slap from Cinccino and Hammer Arm from Tornadus. Substitute is there to help change forms, though +2 Acrobatics in its Meteor form can OHKO both if Tornadus hasn't used Bulk Up.

252 Atk Tornadus Hammer Arm vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Minior-Meteor: 101-119 (38.6 - 45.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252+ Atk Minior-Meteor Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tornadus: 322-381 (107.6 - 127.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
