Just like other set up sweepers such as Barbaracle, Omastar appreciates coming in on a -2/-2 enemy. The most obvious and safe choice is Skuntank. EVs are stolen from Shaneghoul.
Being able to check multiple prominent/strong threats and also provide an environment for Omastar makes Skuntank a great partner and also just a great force in the tier in general. Shane's set puts in major work vs Mesp, Lilli, MDino, Scept and a few other mons.
Electivire @ Life Orb
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower
E-vire basically breaks past everything that Omastar struggles with, including Lanturn, Quagsire, Poliwrath, Abomasnow, as well as Grass Types which Omastar cant beat without having set up beforehand. Between Evires wall breaking and Omastars sweeping, Defensive teams get worn down and overwhelmed extremely quickly.
Garbodor helps dealing with Hitmonchan and Scarf Sawk, both of which can otherwise easily revengekill Omastar after a SS, seeing as Jolly scarf Sawk outspeeds it and LO Mach Punch does a metric ton to it. Toxic Spikes and Spikes also help with weakening checks to Omastar, like Lanturn or Abomasnow which can otherwise live a hit from Omastar at full health.
Memento Mismagius is pretty standard and is one of the more consistent ways to help Omastar set up. It has good defensive type synergy, being immune to both Ground- and Fighting-type attacks while taking most Grass-type attacks pretty well due to its good SpD, while Omastar can take advantage of Fire-types that lack Hidden Power Grass that like to switch into Mismagius's Will-O-Wisp, such as Charizard. Meanwhile Mismagius can break down bulky walls like Mega Audino and tanks such as Thick Fat Hariyama using the combination of Taunt + Will-O-Wisp.
Audino @ Audinite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 56 HP / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dazzling Gleam
- Fire Blast
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
Why not make this a normal spam core eh? Offensive Mega-Audino with Psychic & Fire coverage lures in and weakens a bunch of Kangaskhan's counters including Weezing, Steelix, Ferroseed, and Garbodor. Speed creep is for 0 speed Malamar plus a little extra in case they are creeping up to 12 EV's.
standard Kangaspikes! you can run Drain Punch / Focus Blast over Spikes/TSpikes, but Rock Blast is really really nice for easily beating Scyther and not relying on GS poisons to wear down evio scyther. kangaskhan struggles with Primeape and Hitmonchan, both of which Garbodor deals with.
Mesprit covers heaps of Kanga's weaknesses, namely towards Fighting-types (rip Gurdurr), Bulky Rock/Grounds, and Bulky Poisons. HW support is always nice because of the ever present yellow magic, as well as Wisp from Mismagius, Rotom and co.
