Getting confident after regaining HP, Kitsunoh loses no time and launches a powerful Earthquake enhanced by its Expert Belt that does a number to the jellyfish. Tentacruel seemingly retaliates with a very weak attack... until Espy realizes Kitsunoh has its legs partly encased in ice! They both are too surprised to witness Tentacruel erect a defensive barrier around its side of the field and even mocking words from Kitsunoh cannot undo said barrier.
What it does though is anger Tentacruel, which suddenly gives up on attacking from a distance and slaps the Ghost-type Pokémon - or rather, its troublesome item. A (kind of panicked) Earthquake sends it retreating but Kitsunoh's damage output is very visibly reduced and it's about to faint...

idk I had the option to KO this cat like 3 or 4 times throughout this battle and screwed it up each time, will try again at a later date.
