[OVERVIEW]
While Oddish has decent stats going for it as well as a powerful utility move in Strength Sap, it is not viable due to the lack of a good ability, and it faces heavy competition in any role it wants to fulfill. It is fully outclassed by Foongus as a bulky Grass-type due to Regenerator and better bulk, as well as Morelull due to Effect Spore and its better matchup against Fighting-types. Even in sun, which isn't viable either, Bulbasaur and Bellsprout completely outclass it due to better offensive presence, higher Speed stats, and the ability to set up.

[SET]
name: Defensive Pivot
move 1: Sleep Powder
move 2: Strength Sap / Synthesis
move 3: Sludge Bomb
move 4: Giga Drain
item: Eviolite
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Bold
evs: 156 HP / 236 Def / 76 SpD / 36 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
This set acts as a defensive pivot that makes use of both decent bulk and Strength Sap to cripple physical attackers, as well as draining momentum from opponents with Sleep Powder and checking common threats. However, both Foongus and Morelull make it impossible to justify its use on a team due to their better traits. Even if Oddish possesses a higher Special Attack stat, it is not enough to make Oddish worth using, still being fairly weak regardless.

  • I'd add that even on manual sun (a bad strategy), its outclassed by Bulbasaur and Bellsprout as abusers in the overview
  • Mention that its pretty darn not strong
  • This looks terrific otherwise

[OVERVIEW] i'd remove "Chlorophyll as its only ability" as this sentence is already quite long
[SET DETAILS] Decent, hits evio numbers and has decent bulk
[SET COMMENTS] Seems fine as well

[OVERVIEW]

"it is not viable due to the lack of a better ability, as it is forced to run Chlorophyll." What on earth does this mean? No useful ability isn't enough to keep a Pokemon down alone, there's other factors in why Oddish isn't viable (mostly based around competition and lack of bulk), and the way this is phrased is very weird. Just say that Oddish doesn't have a particularly useful ability and faces heavy competition for any role that it wants to fulfill. Remove the sentence about Oddish lacking power despite having a good Special Attack because it's confusing, add something along those lines to set comments (see below).

[SET]

Don't call the set Oddish please. Defensive or Defensive Pivot would work fine.

[SET COMMENTS]

Since this is kind of short, mention here how despite Oddish's better Special Attack than Foongus or Morelull, the increase isn't enough to let Oddish be worth using over either since it's still fairly weak.

After that give yourself 2/2

While Oddish has decent stats going for it as well as the curious Strength Sap, it is not viable due to the lack of a better ability, and it faces heavy competition in any role it wants to fulfill. It is fully outclassed by Foongus as a bulky Grass-type(AH) due to Regenerator and better bulk, and as well as (more of a subjective change, but I don't like two "ands" so close to each other) Morelull due to Effect Spore and its better matchup against Fighting-types. Even in manual sun, which isn't good either, abusers such as Bulbasaur and Bellsprout completely outclass it due to a better offensive presence, higher Speed stats and ability to setup set up.

edit: I understand there was another amcheck before mine, but I wanted to do one anyway because there were a bunch of things I thought should be changed so I thought it was worth it.
