Official Halo 3 Thread

I am looking to make a Montage of my epic sticks and snipes, but I have not a clue of how to make one. If any of you have ever made one, or know how to make one, please either PM or write on this thread.

ODST, What can I say, It blew me away.

Was alot better than I thought it was going to be, the Campaign mode was varied and fun, Free roaming worked perfectly, A huge step up from what they gave us in Halo 3. Firefight is alot harder than I thought it was going to be, and it has least given me a challenge and I thought getting my Recon was going to be easy :P.

Completed the Solo level on Legendary without firing a weapon or throwing grenades. Just got to do Heroic on Firefight and Last Level Iron Legendary and that's my recon baby :D
 
I'm more and more interested in ODST as I hear about it. Campaign sounds really interesting from a story and atmosphere perspective. Also, EconBiscuit, are you playing Firefight alone? O_o It's balanced for four players and it doesn't scale if you have less =P It's the same no matter what!
 
ODST is a game I would recommend, and I don't do that often.

I have played it with four people on Firefight, and I would say I am a fairly good FPS player, but I have been struggling. It takes alot more communication, stratergy and teamwork than I would've thought. When you have Catch Skull on, the amount of Brutes and Grunts sticking you is annoying. Aswell as the addition of Tough Luck skull in which you have to beat to regain your stamina it gives a fairly big challenge.

Had a quick run of 4 Player Iron run on the last level, and It's alot easier than I thought it was going to be. If you head down the first tunnel after you miss Buck's hog there are 2 mongooses and 4 Rocket Launchers with 999 Rockets in.
 
odst is crazy good! campaign was short but sweet, completed it on Legendary yesterday, and Firefight is brilliant, get four players and hours fly by. Got to Set 4, Round 3, Wave 5 yesterday. -______- Had a single guy left vs two Hunters, with nothing but a hammer left, twenty minutes later, my buddy had only killed one. gonna try it again tonight for mah recon, even though i only want the shoulders + body tbh. Anyone who wants to play a few games of ODST or halo 3 gimme a bell.
 
So in Firefight, if one person dies, do they spawn again if you get to a safepoint or what? Really interested in that mode as someone who likes co-op Halo but is bored by the competitive multiplayer.
 
In firefight you have a set number of lives for the whole team. You respawn about 5 seconds after you die. If you have no lives you are not respawned until the end of the wave. After 5 Waves you are given extra lives, and after 3 rounds you are given a bonus round in which you have to score a certain number of points in order to gain more extra lives.
 
Inspired by Tad's message last night I figured I would tell everyone that if you want to play with me in any playlist I'll be glad too. Even MLG if you feel you're ready. I have no problem losing so don't be scared.
 
I'd love to play with you sometime Rekt... Not quite ready for a 50 in MLG but I've just reached 37 now :P So a couple of weeks :P:P

EDIT: Make that a 39... and with that I am going bed xD
 
rekt, would you be up for some team slayer? I've got a 46 in it and during the weekend it'd be nice to try and see if we can get that up.

Rekt, I would love to get general scrims e.t.c with you, and I wouldn't mind a helpful teammate to help me get my 45 in any playlist (I've had a 48, but I was playing with a booster so I don't count it)
 
I used to think halo was so easy back in the day. I just got OSDT and omg I'm terrible

If anyone wants to play for the fun of it add me (Miller Time 74). But I'm garbage
 
up to my 47 in it now. it's not like it's hard, it's a matter of games played/quality of teammates. playing with you would be amazing for that, though
 
I got ODST and I'm starting to get back into Halo. I would really like to get a 45 in anything with some help. I think I'm a 42 in TS and 40 in doubles. If anyone wants to help me out, I'd be very glad. My GT is bearzly. I think I have tad already. I'd also be up for firefight or vidmasters.
 
Due to a turn of events it looks like two Halo 3 ODST copies are on their way to me >_>;;
 
I follow MLG a lot and am LOVING the addition of Heretic:

For those who don't know in v7
In:
Heretic Ball
Heretic Flag
Heretic Slayer

Guardian Ball
Guardian Slayer
Lockdown Ball

I haven't had the chance to play any v7 (comes out in MM in November, which means you must have the ODST multiplayer) and while I'll miss Guardian (moreso ball) Heretic is exciting for someone who sucked at H2, and only played over friends houses on huge maps.
 
I love Heretic, if they removed the fucking stickies from spawn. Not liking the fact that they're is now 4 Flag Games, 1 Ball Game and 1 Hill Game.

Also, really think that Heretic is really too small for Flag.

While I agree with the sentiment of wanting more variety (I would rather have it be 2 flag, 2 ball, 2 hill), I disagree about Heretic being too small for flag. Onslaught was designed to replicate Midship flag for Halo 3, and is about the same size as it (and thus, Heretic).
