Wizards lose McGee and Young but forget to slip Blatche in the fine print.

Nuggets get McGee, Turiaf.
Clippers get Young.
Wizards get Nene, Cook, and a 2nd founder from Clippers.

How can a team be this bad that fans are happy about this trade?

Nick Young is an efficient scorer, we'll see what he'll do for the Clippers. As for Nene, I think the Wizards made a good move. McGee is way too flashy. Nene is one of those tier 2 centers, and he's a pretty solid player. Everyone wanted him in free agency.

I'm not sure what will happen to the Nuggets, they had a pretty good chemistry going with Nene. But we'll see what happens next!

"The Celtics had serious trade talks on Paul Pierce and Ray Allen with several teams, but no deal came together, league sources tell Y!" (via twitter)

The Golden State Warriors trade swingman Stephen Jackson to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for small forward Richard Jefferson.

The Toronto Raptors send guard Leandro Barbosa to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for a 2012 second-round draft pick and cash.

Wouldn't call 40.6% shooting efficient scoring......

He averages 16.6 points per game, but his assist-to-turnover ratio is negative. He averages 1.2 APG and 1.5 turnovers per game. That might hurt the Clippers in terms of ball movement.

Hey you can stop spamming the edit button exists, and you are barely making points...like ten words a post.

Nick Young is in the bottom 1/3rd efficiency factoring in FT and FG as equally important shots out of the top 80 scorers (26/80). By just FG, he is #13/80 worst. Also Monta Ellis is 23/80 worst and Brandon Jennings is 25/80 worst...lol!!

I know this is basically true shooting without the FG to FT adjustment, but it shows Nick Young is factually inefficient no matter how you try to justify his game. Shit shooter, shit at everything.

Lol, good point, hopefully the Clippers will still do well with the addition of Nick Young, and I hope he'll get his percentages up, as well as his assist total. Eventually the Clippers will freeze him out if he's not gonna pass. XD
They didn't need to trade for a ball hog.

This might be a stupid question, but do the players traded get to be PHYSICALLY with the team right away, or do they have to wait a few days?

So, what you guys think about all these trades? Who do you think benefited from this, and who didn't?
As much as I absolutely despise the Fisher trade, I think the Lakers did well otherwise. Ramon Sessions is definitely someone who should be able to help, and dropping Luke Walton and Kapono was also good. Not sure how I feel about Jordan Hill and Christian Eyenga, never even heard of them until the trades happened.

Unfortunately, we're still stuck with Steve Blake as the backup PG. I really want Mike Brown to give most of Blake's minutes to Goudelock, he certainly showed he could be effective when Blake was injured.

The TrailBlazers are an interesting situation. Talk about changes: Head coach fired, Gerald Wallace and Marcus Camby traded away...Wonder how the chemistry will work for the remainder of the season?

I actually think Portland's situation is better than some think. As of now there's about 29 million on next season's payroll, assuming Crawford declines his option, which leaves about 30 million of cap space. A third of that goes to resigning Batum, so there's 20 mil cap space to fill out the roster with.

There's also the draft picks. Since we're likely to tank the rest of the season, we should have a mid to late pick in the lottery, plus New Jersey's pick which will likely be around 6-9 now that they've added Wallace. Since this draft is so deep, there's a good chance they turn out good even if they aren't top 5 picks. Add to the fact that Aldridge and Batum are still quite young, and it's entirely possible we could be back in contention in a year or two.

tbh sort of feels like a condensed version of what Utah did last season.

I believe the players are supposed to report for a medical and whatever they need to get done, which takes about a day. So basically, for example, McGee likely won't play tonight for Denver against OKC, but should make it Saturday against Boston.

Jordan Hill actually is a good player but really never got a chance in Houston with Scola rampaging there. Surely, he'll boost that Lakers frontline a lot.. Dunno about Eyenga. Hardworking but we're seeing his ceiling right now..

Biggest winner for me here is Lakers. They finally got that good pointguard that we're longing for. Wizards is a runner-up, they got rid of two clowns for Nene. That's bargain!

Oh... No Dwight trade? BOOORIING!!
