A VPN is designed to protect your personal information, and preventing strangers from knowing where you live.
Unfortunately, people on PS use VPNs to evade punishment. Resulting in VPNs being banned.
While this stopped one problem, it unintentionally created another. Your Information is at risk whenever you want to play PS.
The Solution: Pokemon Showdown can make an official VPN. That way, we can play PS without having our information at risk! And not only that, but you would be required to submit your username to the PS VPN before using it. The PS Staff running the VPN can oversee someone using the VPN. And they would be able to tell if the VPN is being used maliciously or not.
That way, everyone can play PS, keeping their personal information private, minus the Punishment Evading.
