i predicit a massive jump in celebi usage next month now genesect is gone, celebi is so versitile and anti rain, genesect just renders it a liability 21% of the time
 
As much as I want the "pure stats" to keep being used for defining the tiers, I'm eager to see the 1337 stats. I seriously cannot understand how we have so many pokémon above the OU cutoff and we have shit like Keldeo and Landorus-I below Lucario and Cloyster. Seriously, where are those fuckers hiding?

Chansey ain't gon' do squat in UU other than be target practice for Scrafty and Mienshao.

Of course, I find all non-Uber Ghost-types to be mediocre. So, honestly, I hope that sets some people straight. If it doesn't, the undisputable fact RU is a broken tier will.

Genesect had pretty meh usage in normal OU stats (despite being #1, it's still below expected Scizor-level usage that came in the 24-32% range) so 1337 should give us a bit more insight.

Oh my god, Celebi deserves MUCH more love than that. I just did a RMT with Celebi as a star, and I am very disappointed to see that Celebi saw such low usage. I am very happy that Genesect is banned, now Celebi, and some other things such as Reuniclus and Haxorus, will see much more usage. As for Keldeo, again, it is very understimated.
 
Damn... Sepri is #1 in DW-OU... I highly doubt that he'll stay in NU if he's being used even more than friekan Shadow-Tag Chandlure! So Genesect gone from OU? Pretty cool I guess he did rule OU in his stay

Edit: Actually, checking the moveset stats, it looks like what's really going on is that people want to use Contrary Serp so they play DWOU.

True... but still he is a good Pokemon those Leaf Storm's add up pretty quick... but yeah he does have his counters (Heatran walls him utterly Dragonite can take a powered up Dragon Pulse) at full health and OHKO with Hurricane and Chandelure has a type advantage) But I still don't see him staying in NU... I say UU at the least OU at the most... though I'm a bit of a noob here...

Don't really get why people use Substitute and Leach Seed over HP Fire... Leach Seed is good but he already has Giga Drain for recovery and without HP Fire he's completly walled by Steel types... I still think Leaf Storm/Dragon Pulse/Giga Drain/HP Fire is the ideal moveset for him... perfect coverage sans is pretty sweet)

That Genesect ban (gets flame shield) should not have happened. It's like any other new threat, people didn't get used to it. Things that beat Genesect: Faster Scarfers, Para/Burn, and again, FAST FIRE POKEMON.

But enough of that, good stats to say the least, LC had some huge changes, perfect time to make an anti-meta team. OU... meh, smogon already acts like it's the only meta thats worth anything because it's the only one that changes, just my opinion, but this time it was the complete opposite, also, HI CINCINNO MEET YOUR NEW HOME IN RU :)

Apart from the little flame war, it seems obvious that there were a lot of reasons to ban Genesect. Mainly of it being to versatile and putting a strain on teambuilding. It is up to yourself if you think that reason is enough. Reasons to not ban it are that it is quite frail and it can sometimes prove to not be strong enough without certain boosts / locked into the wrong move.

Just wanting to point out that burn damage is no way halfed in rain.

This thing is good. Even more-so that something so high in usage % that threatens it out AND gets switch momentum at the same time is gone (hi Genesect). It has a pretty awesome niche in the OU metagame simply because rain is so prominent. Like his bro (hurr), he has awesome defensive typing along with similar stats (obviously, def and sdef are switched). But that's what makes it so good. Many moves in the metagame (well, in rain) are specially based, and having Regenerator + solid recovery + a good support movepool + offensive presence (perfect coverage in Ice Beam + Fire Blast + Dual STAB + Hidden Power) are key components to a good counter.

Specs Keldeo, although rare, is a massive threat able to either OHKO or 2HKO pretty much everything outside of bulky invested resists like Amoonguss.. and Slowking.

252 SpAtk Choice Specs Keldeo-R Hydro Pump IN RAIN vs 252 HP/252 SpDef Slowking (+SpDef) : 37.56% - 44.16% (3 hits to KO)

If you again opt for a specially defensive set, it can force out even Specs Tornadus-T:

252 SpAtk Choice Specs Tornadus-T Hurricane vs 252 HP/252 SpDef Slowking (+SpDef) : 44.92% - 52.79% (3 hits to KO)

The Trick Room set is also absurdly powerful in rain:

252 SpAtk Slowking (+SpAtk) Surf IN RAIN vs 0 HP/0 SpDef Tornadus-T: 77.59% - 91.64% (2 hits to KO)

That's a 100% OHKO after Stealth Rock. Tornadus-T isn't all that frail either (at least for an offensive mon).

These guys are some of the biggest threats in the game but they're lower than VAPOREON. Now that I think about it, I rarely ever see Vaporeons but a ton of Keldeo/Landorus. Odd.

It's too late in December for month-end ratings for November, but PS logs contain player ratings at the time of the battle, so I may use those instead.

I'm unlikely to produce "1337" stats for November at this point, but if I decide to go the time-of-battle rating route, you should see them for December.
 
The "1337" stats will be interesting to see of course. But they're not THAT important to stress over imo. It's questionable how representative they even are of what the best players are using. They're interesting to see, but not something that should be taken too seriously.

But Stoutland going from OU to NU is just so funny to me, also, why are people complaning Amoonguss is broken in NU when Cincinno is being used more, honestly I dont think either are broken cause Bastiodon (who is REALLY UNDERRATED) can wall them both to hell and back.
