I'm going to categorize it into two lists for NFE Players, or specifically those who know NFE a little more than others and have actually built a team or two before, and Tournament Players/Non-NFE Mains instead of a whole singular PR. NFE is a tier where you can succeed without needing to use a lot of time to learn the tier but most plays have neither tried to build nor can't build at all. That's just for the Managers to get a clear look at who can actually build and who is just good at playing the game. Will be categorized into Top/High/Mid, but I do recommend reading through the description of each player. I promise I'll keep it simple and sweet though. Will also tell if they deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt(yes that's legal which is raw af) since that's fun personally.
Also yes I haha'd every player that signed up for NFE. I don't hate yall, but sometimes I feel like an ass and a hater for no reason :3c
Rankings of NFE Mainers aka those who play/played and can/have built teams
Blinkboy(+) - Not as known for the OM community(newer players-wise), but he's always considered one of the stronger ones at Gen 8 NFE and always shown quite the consistency when he joined NFE tours. He always builds his own teams and I've always approved them since it's something everyone can use, personally staple-worthy type of builds. My biggest concern would be that he had a tendency to drop the activity out of nowhere, which makes me suspicious that he would do it again. That's the only reason I would give him one + less. I would try to get him if possible, but definitely be aware of the risks I mentioned above here. Does not deserve to be cheesed by Moody Snorunt yet.
5dots - At the NFE council, has had a strong showing at tours, and I believe his teams are super solid and that he's also an effective builder for other top players. Why I mentioned that is because I think he's arguably not on the same level as above him or the Top Players skill-wise. And I feel like he may be a bit stuck on trying to build new ideas and things. He's more like an optimizer of building teams, but pulling out new things is a weakness I see in him. If you can find someone that pays attention to the tier and manage to give him really good ideas to give him a challenge in teambuilding, then he will be one of the scarier ones to face and the strongest supporter IMO. As for his activity, it's weird because he's busy af, but it's like it feels like he's such a silent person. Like my man takes ages to respond, and he has literally 5 dots at his discord name and Raichu on his Smogon avatar. My man is literally being Red IRL, cheesing with Moody Snorunt won't matter to him as his presence is cold af already.
Greybaum - He's a manager so you won't get him, but if he will be playing for the team then he is obviously at the top for obvious reasons. The flaw I can see in him is that he's kinda lazy at building teams, but his teams approach things very differently from most builders in a good way. He's like someone who tries to build a bit anti-meta or change a few key things that change the game in a solid fashion so it's not bad, but if someone else would use his teams they would definitely need to test it before using it. As a player, he's solid as usual. Will say he can be kinda dumb at times as that's how I felt like playing against him at no johns. I could see Greybaum becoming a supporter(more so giving feedback since he's probably someone that prefers others to try to build their own teams) as he has other tiers to focus on, so if you would want to ruin his day at draft hopefully reading some of my stuff gives you some answers here. He does probably not deserve to be cheesed by Moody Snorunt, but I can't deny that would be funny.
If they played
Stresh - If he was going to play NFE, then he would be +/++ pretty easily considering he's that guy. But I would more than likely put him at top+ as he would be focusing on MnM, slack the NFE building, and go to repeat a lot of cores though that's not necessarily a bad thing. He will be one of the best people for giving feedback since he understands how NFE works from playing Gen 8 NFE, so something like 5dots + Stresh in the same team would be a terrifying combination. He does definitely deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt for sure LMFAO
The Strap - This name is still stupid even if Marjane/Eris were one of the first ones to popularize this. They were easily one of the strongest NFE players in Gen 8 overall, and I am very sure they would succeed in this gen as they're quick to figure the meta out and builds their own teams. I wouldn't say the teams work for everyone, but they're very creative and it's hard to predict what they'll be going at first hand. Definitely high+ and has a good argument for top++. Also deserved to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt, they're an Ubers player LOL. If I did that to FC, then Strap will get it as well.
King Leo - He hasn't played Gen 9 NFE as far as my knowledge, but they would obviously catch up with the meta rather quickly and is a top-tier pick. The biggest flaws though are that he's basically someone that prefers to build for themself with no feedback, and the fact he hasn't played Gen 9 NFE will hurt him in the early weeks. Would rank him around the lowest at the top rank if I am being nice, but at the same time, he's kinda hard to predict if he will do well or not. But what's not hard to guess is that he does not deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt, but it would be funny to see the comments.
Tuthur(+) - The ranking I gave them may not be accurate to their skill level as I think they're able to upset everyone skill-wise. I only ranked them lower because I don't have enough data from them besides from NFE Open where he met Greybaum r1 unfortunately, and the OML4 team tournament where he went undefeated against some noticeable players. They're also able to build their own teams so that's a huge plus. I may not be completely approved with the teams they have shown from the replays, but they can easily improve the teambuilding aspect anyway through the OMPL. They're basically someone who I can see improve so fast through the weeks so I ain't underestimating them. Not sure if they deserve to be cheesed by Snorunt, but that's up to the ZU community to decide.
Lepton(+) - I don't like ranking her so low like that. She has always proved she can beat people from the past gen and her recent results really came down to unfortunately having to face Greybaum early on. I do rank her here because I mainly don't vibe with her team-building overall. All of them has a lot of good concept and ideas, but the teams she showcases really irks me as I find the defensive synergy and covering interactions very flawed. She's always trying to build things differently from others, but it hasn't made me think her team building in Gen 9 is any better at all. I know she's very capable to build good teams as showcased at OMWC, so if she can fix that problem she can get much higher tbh. She doesn't deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt lol.
FranziskaSkye(+) - Not known by most people in OM community, but she's definitely someone I would keep an eye out for an easy 3k steal. They did mostly play around at the Tera meta and dipped after that, but as far as I've seen her gameplay I am very impressed with what she has done in ladder games and at NFE Open. Her builds have always given me 50/50 when I think of her team, but she's easily capable to build her own and win with them. So I can see her adapt to the new meta rather quickly. As a note, she definitely deserved to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt but not for good reasons. Instead, it's because I get salty against her at ladder games lmao.
Elle - One of the OG NFE players. She's pretty strong as a player and the ranking isn't because of her skill at all. It's mainly for building teams and if she's committed enough to go through this PL. She's very much able to build her own, but I think it's also something that works for her best and they could be somewhat a wild card, though she has shown to build optimal teams. But why I refrained from ranking her higher because I have a feeling that if she loses motivation she will not play through this tournament and that's a huge flag because I see that as a likely chance to happen. Will say this may be just me overdriving and I'm being too harsh against her, but I do think you should not rely on her as your only NFE player for sure. I think it's definitely funny to see her getting cheesed by Moody Snorunt for sure.
If they played
PociekMociek - They used to play early Gen 9 NFE and they were unexpectedly good as a first timer. While I don't think they will play NFE as they dropped it around the Tera meta, I do believe they could somewhat be decent to give feedback and if they did play I think they're a decent pick as they're barely capable enough both building and plays. They don't deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt, but I would do it on them easily lol.
Kaif - This is just pure speculation, but they would be able to perform well if he gets some time to learn the tier and understand the Gen 9 stuff. They were NFE Mainers after all, so having him on the team will at least provide you with some good feedback or a test partner. Unsure as a teambuilder or providing teams for others though, but he knows how to build a NFE team after some time so he's good. Does he deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt though? That's for the 1v1/2v2 community to decide.
Lyna - They're able to build and play based on the little data from OML4. But I think they'll need some support or someone to give feedback as I don't really like their teams when Missy was legal. Idk how you did build any teams with Missy based on your replay like hello, I do not approve of that at all. Cheesed by Moody Snorunt though hm... Nah I don't think you deserve that for now...
As a note, anyone in this section can easily be improved to High if you solve the problems I mentioned.
Rankings for Non-NFE Mainers/Tour Players
Abriel(++) - One of the most excellent players I've ever seen since OMFL, and their plays at NFE Open have been very impressive. They did also try some building I guess, better than nothing. Very recommended though he's probably being one of the top picks for having a lot of value in other tiers as well. He got haxxed enough from me out of NFE Open, so he does not deserve being cheesed by Moody Snorunt.
Tlenit(++) - One of the most consistent players through the Gen 8 NFE period overall, and I am confident that he will manage to do that in OMPL as well. But you'll need to give him good support as he does not build nor give much feedback, so he will rely on the builder in order to win. He plays to outplay and he's damn good at it as someone who has been in the same team tournament before. Picks up the tier quickly and will take wins if you give him the goodies. He would be instead the player that would abuse Moody Snorunt better than I could cwl.
Fade/Jonfilch(++) - One of the most impressive Gen 8 NFE players that picked up the tier late. Obviously mandatory teambuilding support like Tlenit. No idea how he's in team tours, but give him some test games and some information on how Gen 9 NFE works and he'll do the work. And yes, I would love to see him getting cheese by Moody Snorunt lol.
Stareal(++) - Extremely solid back in Gen 8 for a good while by having good team tours and winning a NFE individual tournament by using other teams, so he's easily capable to adapt a new tier without needing to go deep with it. Can't believe I forgot him, but yes he's just on the same level as those guys above. And is very mandatory to receive teams as he does not build that much. Stareal is also a name that somewhat confuses me when I try to say it out loud so he's getting the cheese from Moody Snorunt from me.

Ojr(++) - He has been playing NFE since Gen 8 and still is a very strong player atm as he was in the Finals of No Johns. Capable to build for himself and for others, although Ojr teams are usually best pivoted by themself as the way he structures a lot of them shines when he uses them. While he focuses on other tiers, he quickly catches up with the trends so he is someone to trust at. If you need any solid proof of that, he'll be spamming in my DMs for feedback or tests for NFE-related stuff when we interact 90% of the times cwl. Recommended if you need a single NFE player or him + a tour player, although take a grain of salt at the tour player part. Does deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt :cwl:.

Pandadoux(++) - Very much able to build solid teams and beat the players above them, but I do think they are one step lower than the top ones since I don't feel like their teams are as top-notched as theirs and the skill difference is noticeable enough in my eyes. I think they're very underrated as a supporter though, then again being able to support is huge on its own and they're keeping up with the recent trends. Does not deserve to be cheesed by Moody Snorunt, though they were close when their team pulled that trick at OMWC of hiding replays...
Tuthur(+) - The ranking I gave them may not be accurate to their skill level as I think they're able to upset everyone skill-wise. I only ranked them lower because I don't have enough data from them besides from NFE Open where he met Greybaum r1 unfortunately, and the OML4 team tournament where he went undefeated against some noticeable players. They're also able to build their own teams so that's a huge plus. I may not be completely approved with the teams they have shown from the replays, but they can easily improve the teambuilding aspect anyway through the OMPL. They're basically someone who I can see improve so fast through the weeks so I ain't underestimating them. Not sure if they deserve to be cheesed by Snorunt, but that's up to the ZU community to decide.
Lepton(+) - I don't like ranking her so low like that. She has always proved she can beat people from the past gen and her recent results really came down to unfortunately having to face Greybaum early on. I do rank her here because I mainly don't vibe with her team-building overall. All of them has a lot of good concept and ideas, but the teams she showcases really irks me as I find the defensive synergy and covering interactions very flawed. She's always trying to build things differently from others, but it hasn't made me think her team building in Gen 9 is any better at all. I know she's very capable to build good teams as showcased at OMWC, so if she can fix that problem she can get much higher tbh. She doesn't deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt lol.
FranziskaSkye(+) - Not known by most people in OM community, but she's definitely someone I would keep an eye out for an easy 3k steal. They did mostly play around at the Tera meta and dipped after that, but as far as I've seen her gameplay I am very impressed with what she has done in ladder games and at NFE Open. Her builds have always given me 50/50 when I think of her team, but she's easily capable to build her own and win with them. So I can see her adapt to the new meta rather quickly. As a note, she definitely deserved to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt but not for good reasons. Instead, it's because I get salty against her at ladder games lmao.
Elle - One of the OG NFE players. She's pretty strong as a player and the ranking isn't because of her skill at all. It's mainly for building teams and if she's committed enough to go through this PL. She's very much able to build her own, but I think it's also something that works for her best and they could be somewhat a wild card, though she has shown to build optimal teams. But why I refrained from ranking her higher because I have a feeling that if she loses motivation she will not play through this tournament and that's a huge flag because I see that as a likely chance to happen. Will say this may be just me overdriving and I'm being too harsh against her, but I do think you should not rely on her as your only NFE player for sure. I think it's definitely funny to see her getting cheesed by Moody Snorunt for sure.
If they played
PociekMociek - They used to play early Gen 9 NFE and they were unexpectedly good as a first timer. While I don't think they will play NFE as they dropped it around the Tera meta, I do believe they could somewhat be decent to give feedback and if they did play I think they're a decent pick as they're barely capable enough both building and plays. They don't deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt, but I would do it on them easily lol.
Kaif - This is just pure speculation, but they would be able to perform well if he gets some time to learn the tier and understand the Gen 9 stuff. They were NFE Mainers after all, so having him on the team will at least provide you with some good feedback or a test partner. Unsure as a teambuilder or providing teams for others though, but he knows how to build a NFE team after some time so he's good. Does he deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt though? That's for the 1v1/2v2 community to decide.
Mid
Maybeca - Good player, but I don't like the teams they've been using through Gen 9 NFE. They're managers though, but I would personally recommend an NFE builder to showcase your strength as a player if you decide to play NFE out, though it looks like you're more focused on other tiers. Nah you don't deserve to get cheesed by Moody Snorunt, but damn our conversations back in the OMFL days would make me pull some cheese on you LOL.Lyna - They're able to build and play based on the little data from OML4. But I think they'll need some support or someone to give feedback as I don't really like their teams when Missy was legal. Idk how you did build any teams with Missy based on your replay like hello, I do not approve of that at all. Cheesed by Moody Snorunt though hm... Nah I don't think you deserve that for now...
As a note, anyone in this section can easily be improved to High if you solve the problems I mentioned.

Abriel(++) - One of the most excellent players I've ever seen since OMFL, and their plays at NFE Open have been very impressive. They did also try some building I guess, better than nothing. Very recommended though he's probably being one of the top picks for having a lot of value in other tiers as well. He got haxxed enough from me out of NFE Open, so he does not deserve being cheesed by Moody Snorunt.
Tlenit(++) - One of the most consistent players through the Gen 8 NFE period overall, and I am confident that he will manage to do that in OMPL as well. But you'll need to give him good support as he does not build nor give much feedback, so he will rely on the builder in order to win. He plays to outplay and he's damn good at it as someone who has been in the same team tournament before. Picks up the tier quickly and will take wins if you give him the goodies. He would be instead the player that would abuse Moody Snorunt better than I could cwl.
Fade/Jonfilch(++) - One of the most impressive Gen 8 NFE players that picked up the tier late. Obviously mandatory teambuilding support like Tlenit. No idea how he's in team tours, but give him some test games and some information on how Gen 9 NFE works and he'll do the work. And yes, I would love to see him getting cheese by Moody Snorunt lol.
Stareal(++) - Extremely solid back in Gen 8 for a good while by having good team tours and winning a NFE individual tournament by using other teams, so he's easily capable to adapt a new tier without needing to go deep with it. Can't believe I forgot him, but yes he's just on the same level as those guys above. And is very mandatory to receive teams as he does not build that much. Stareal is also a name that somewhat confuses me when I try to say it out loud so he's getting the cheese from Moody Snorunt from me.

Ngl seeing the price Potatochan is going for in these mocks is a criminal offense, you're all asleep. This is a player who I'd say has the ability to go undefeated in this AAA pool and can easily sub into any metagame with teams. If I was managing I'd slot Potatochan into any OM and have reasonable confidence in a win. Really hoping these mock prices aren't representative at all of how much he'll go for in the real thing, 7k is straight up highway robbery
