quoting this because I still need an answer

Pretty sure that Unburden only triggers when an item is lost. If you somehow get a new item, like getting something Tricked onto you, then you'll keep the speed boost.

Note that just using Trick isn't enough to trigger Unburden; you have to get rid of your item entirely for it to count.

Well I know you have to get rid of the item. THe question is if reobtaining will reverse the effect

Research guys confirmed a while back that regaining an item loses the speed boost, I think.

Just gonna repeat my question cause it wasn't answered...

For a Sleeptalk Snorlax with Crunch and Body Slam.
Which EV spread should I be using? Thanks!
Your question was not answered because this one isn't really simple.

If you do not particularly care about the metagame, consider this tool in order to determine the optimal bulk. It suggests Impish 252/252/0.

However, you pretty much want to tailor a RestTalker in a way in order not to be 2HKOed by the Pokemons of a specific metagame, so the spread for a UU RestTalker and a OU Restalker may vary. A good example would the the UU analysis of the 5th gen.
You take the threat list of the metagame of choice and work down the most dangerous attackers until you are satisfied with the results. Now you are on your own because the threat list depends on what your team can take. Frankly, we wouldn't use RestTalk Snorlax at all in this tier because how powerful the forces are. Focus Blast is pretty prevalent, which basically requires you to run Careful and max HP/SDef in order not to kneel over LO Gengar. But if you do not run maximum Def, you are left unable to soak up powerful neutral physical moves.

We leave this question open. If someone actually has an easy answer for that, do answer.

I just hatched a shiny Goomy with an Naive nature and the Sap Sipper ability. I decided to EV train it, and it is my first time.
Does anybody know what an EV spread that would be good for my Goomy, maybe even an item it could hold? I have looked everywhere, but I can't a spread for a Naive nature. Thanks! :)

Goomyfield, I'll answer this since I redirected you here.

Unfortunately, Naive is literally one of the worst natures that Goodra could have, as it's really supposed to be a specially defensive tank. Naive lowers its Special Defense, and increases its speed, something of which it doesn't really need. Therefore, this goomy's not really optimal for online play. On the bright side a shiny's a shiny, and can still be used in-game perfectly well.

Well that sucks :/ but it's still fine :) I wasn't planning to do anything too serious with it, other than maybe play over the PSS for fun. I just thought it would be fun to EV train for the first time :)
Is there any spreads that would work OK with it, just so I could get the hang of EV training with even a little benefit? I'm not looking for the perfect Pokemon, I just need some practise :)

If you can check the IVs that would be awesome. Unless you are flawless (which I highly doubt on that Shiny), chances are you have imperfect stats somewhere.

Also, I suppose you can troll around with this:

Goodra@Choice Scarf/Choice Specs
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Naive
-Draco Meteor
-Muddy Water
-Fire Blast
-Thunderbolt/Sludge Wave

or this:

Goodra@Choice Band
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Aqua Tail
-Power Whip

or even this:

Goodra@Choice Scarf
EVs: (depends on your IVs, mixed attacker, snags certain KOs)
Nature: Naive
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Earthquake
-Muddy Water/Power Whip/Aqua Tail

Yeah, if your going to have a speed boosting nature, you might as well max out speed and special attack, slap a choice scarf or specs on, and call it a day.

Might be a decent candidate for the AV Goodra build someone posted a while back. Goodra's offensive stats aren't bad, he could run a mixed set and with the boost from AV he's going to be effectively bulletproof against special attackers anyway.

Has Rotom-W ever been considered broken or mentioned for suspect testing? Its utility is nearly unrivaled, and there is literally nothing that can stop it from burning, volt switching, etc. It's usage is sky high and rightfully so, because it's unbelievably good at what it does.

I just thought of something.

Defog is a 4th Gen HM.

You can transfer 4th gen Pokemon to 5th gen using the capture minigame thing.

HOWEVER doesn't it say that you cannot transfer mons from 4th gen with HM moves to 5th gen?

Or do you just have to transfer Defog mons from DPPt to HG/SS and then transfer them?

You may be on to something...

If Gen 4 HG/SS allows it, then your thought would be invalid.

Someone should/is testing this ASAP, it means a lot for Defogs distribution.

I'm pretty sure it works, we know it does. That's why Pokemon like Latios and Arceus can/do use it, because otherwise it's quite limited in distribution.

Well, since it's a wall and status/volt switching is the best use for it right now, I think not. If Rotom-W would be suspect tested and it went through all the things it counters would be OP. Talonflame would be ubers, and that just doesn't sound right.

I have a 3 perfect IV. Adamant Heracross with Moxie. I have a male and a female. I really want to get 5 perfect IVs, but I'm just stuck as to how to move forward. I have an Adamant Ditto with average IVs, a destiny knot, and an ever stone. If someone could help me progress or tell me my next step I would appreciate it!

Try to farm more Dittos.. haha
I have 4 that I use in total.
HP SpD Spe
HP Def Spe
Att Def
SpA SpD

That way I can make a physical or special attacker pretty easily.
I could try to find more.. But I am so lazy.

Where do you find them? I've been fighting this all day, and no one has any that they are willing to trade.

Look for someone with a Friend Safari with Ditto. The Ditto will come out with at least 2 perfect IVs.

Defog is not an HM in HG/SS. Trade it over and transfer, yeah.

I joined this forum a long ago, and I've been following some of the things that have been discussed here even before that. That said, I still don't know the proper procedure of bringing up certain topics, such as what Pokemon I feel should be moved a tier. I'm specifically talking about Gengar, the entire Pokemon, mega or regular.

How would I go about bringing up or being a part of this discussion, or those discussions that facilitate different concerns such as these?
