Can someone give me the lowdown on Gourgeist vs. Trevenant?
Trevenant sucks, Gourgeist doesn't.

Seriously though, Trevenant's niche is Harvest, but it's bulk is nothing special. Gourgeist is a legit bulky grass that works similarly to Chesnaught and Megasaur, countering the same Pokemon while having WoW and the ability to spinblock. It also cockblocks Excadrill pretty nicely, but so does Trevenant to an extent.

What are the best stall options to switch into both/either Charizard forms for those situations when it hasn't mega'd yet and you don't know which one it is? Even Cresselia is taking 47.2% from Flare Blitz.

I've used Sap Sipper Azumarril but I can't convince myself it's really worth the teamslot (maybe it is...), and Hippowdon only works against Char-Y because Char-X is too strong, and even then it only switches in if Y has already mega'd.
Physically Defensive Tyranitar (can be found in the analysis thread) is a pretty good set that works against both non-Focus Blast ZardY and DD ZardX, while it kinda blows against focus blast and bulky WoW.

Any teammates out there that can support this set here? (since on his own he seems to be... mediocre)

Feraligatr@Mystic Water (At present, though items are open to suggestion)
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
Adamant Nature
-Aqua Jet
-Waterfall
-Swords Dance
-Crunch (Also open to suggestion)

Gatr's my favorite pokemon, so I'd love to find a way to make him work in OU.

Edited to rephrase as a question. >.<

How many egg moves can a newly hatched pokemon learn at once? If both parents know 4 different egg moves, would the hatchling have 4 of them learned and 4 in the move relearner?

Gatr's one of my favorites too. However, without Sheer Force being released, one really shouldn't competitively use it over Azumarill, Gyarados, or Crawdaunt. Azumarill is bulkier and more powerful, Gyarados is bulkier, more powerful, and faster, and Crawdaunt is much more powerful, and has STAB Knock Off as opposed to coverage crunch. Your entire moveset is legal on Crawdaunt, but change Waterfall to Crabhammer and Crunch to Knock Off, and you're good to go.

Sorry. I know I didn't really answer your actual question. If you're adamant about using it, make sure you have rain support. Your moveset is fine.

For the upcoming VGC Friendly I was thinking of a Xerneas, Kangaskhan, Aegislash core, but I'm struggling beyond that. Talonflame sounds good too as a Revenge Killer.

Rain support is one option I was considering. Competitive he ain't, but as a sort of side project, I'd like to find a way to use him. And his Hidden is Sheer Force? >.> Come on, Game Freak, don't tease me like this!

How many egg moves can a newly hatched pokemon learn at once? If both parents know 4 different egg moves, would the hatchling have 4 of them learned and 4 in the move relearner?
Moves inherited by hatching take priority in the following order:

(1) Volt Tackle
(2) Mother's egg moves
(3) Father's egg moves
(4) Mother's TM/HM moves
(5) Father's TM/HM moves
(6) level-up moves (both parents need to know it)
(7) baby's default move set (moves learned by baby at level 1)

So in your scenario, the baby (assuming no Volt Tackle) would hatch with all 4 of the mother's moves. The father's moves would never be learned, and so could not be learned via the relearner either. In the above list, only category (7) can be relearned by the move relearner without the baby ever having had the move in its move set.

edit: This is only for X/Y breeding obviously since prior to X/Y mothers could pass down neither egg moves nor TM/HM moves.

This is a stupid question but can any player be a good play even if they play cart?(but still follows smogons metagame)

Yeah, of course. I mean it's really hard to teambuild on cart, because a lot of options are closed to you, but if you are able to build and create an effective, working team, you can definitely become a good player. It's just really hard, since the amount of competitive people playing on the cartridge is really low, so you have to make sure you find good people to battle with. Otherwise, though, as long as you can find away to effectively build your team and battle good players, you can definitely become good on cartridge :)

Just note, though, that the simulator is probably much better for improving your skills, as you can play a lot of battles in a short period of time. You're also more likely to find more competitive players, since the whole simulator is based around competitive battling. You probably already know this, but in case you don't, the Showdown! simulator can be found here http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/

Thank you, I just make it a goal to beat the person who beat me cuz alor of passerbys suck tho So it kinda leaves me stuck fighting the same competitive people over again(Luckly they change team)
And yeah, I forgot to say I used to Play showdown, but I have no device to play on anymore because playing on phone sucks(I use wireless hotspots to play on cartridge to sum it up)

When I talk to someone to battle or trade, they ask me for my friend code and my "IGN". Does that mean "in-game name"? Or something else?

It means in-game name. Some folks have a ton of people on their friend lists, so it can be hard to find a specific person if you don't know what name to look for.

Thanks. For some reason I thought at first it was the name of my account on IGN.com, and I was like wtf why does everyone want that. Haha.

Not sure if this question is appropriate here but is a Heatran/Clefable/Rotom-W/Garchomp A good core? This.is for Clefables Stored power set, and Most of the Pokemon that threaten Clefable or Wall it are stopped by these three

What's the standard Pursuit Bisharp set, in terms of moves? Just dual stab and no coverage?

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Iron Head

Yeah that's basically it. I mean Dark-type is only resisted by two type, and those are hit hard af by Iron Head. So really you don't really need any coverage outside of your Dual-STABs (You also kind of need each Dark-type move; one has prio, another does reliable damage, and the last is for obvious Pursuit trapping.)

What is it with Smogon (users) and Donphan? Can somebody fill me in on that joke?

It's not a joke Donphan is the real deal didn't you see the pokemon of the week thread.

On a serious note Donphan gets hated because he was already a mediocre pokemon in generation 5 and when generation 6 came around he lost his only niche of being a rapid spinner on sun teams. However lower ladder players kept Donphan just barely OU and one of the reason's the new tiering system with the higher ladder stuff was made just to get Donphan out of OU.

As a spinner, it's outclassed. And as a defensive, bulky ground SR-setter, it's also outclassed. Defog shat on it's viability rather strongly. It's Ice Shard is weak as shit, and it lacks reliable recovery.

Basically, a bulky rapid spinner just doesn't cut it. That's why offensive rapid spinners like Excadrill are better, they actually do more than just spinning.

Which is generally better, Specially Defensive Hippowdon (Careful, 252 HP/4 Def/252 Sp.Def) or Physically Defensive Hippowdon (Impish, 252 HP/120 Def/ 136 Sp.Def)?

Specially Defensive Hippowdon is the better one of the two in the current meta atm, it lets Hippo wall more threats while still being excellent on the physical tanking side. However, Physically Defensive is better against Pokemon like CharX and Mega Pinsir (if running rock slide/stone edge) etc.

Also, with full SpD Hippo, you can cancel the sun and tank 2 Zard Y Fire Blasts, or a Solarbeam, and if he's already going for Solarbeam u make it take two turns. With the Physical spread you mentioned, Bisharp's Iron Head is a 4HKO, while Knock off does max 44%, so you can heal up or threaten with earthquake.
