Energy Ball is certainly more powerful, but Giga Drain is used in part for the healing it grants, which is usually worth the drop in power.
Mega Venusaur really needs recovery, since he's a relatively slow) bulky attacker with no passive recovery.

Hello, I am a new user, I was hoping you people could help me out with a question about the current TCG metagame. Sorry if I posted on the wrong session.
Here it is: I have a raticate card from the black and white series which has two attacks Gnaw Through and Super Fang. The last attack needs 3 neutral energy and says "put energy counters on the defending pokemon until it has 10 hp". I was hoping I could use the item bracelet to make it deal more damage on EX cards, bacause that item makes my attacks deal an extra 30 damage.
The question is: does my Raticate one hit kills EX cards in that scenario?

How would Me First work against a Gale Wings Brave Bird? Bulbapedia says Me First fails against priority moves, so I'm assuming it wouldn't work?
Me First only copies the move if the user would go first anyway. Since Me First has normal priority, it is thus unable to copy any priority moves. That includes any Flying-type move used by Gale Wings Talonflame.
Alright, thanks. Pretty disappointing, thought that Me First on Mienshao would make for a great unexpected counter.
Ah, so they did. My bad, but I did find a short thread about the ruling. Cocoa I believe the ruling is that the item (silver bangle, I assume) does not add damage because Super Fang doesn't technically deal damage; it just puts damage counters on the Pokemon. So I forgot to ask this when it happened, but when I was playing in the June International Challenge (yes I know that was VGC but this should apply to singles too, I think) I had weird behavior with encore. I encored a Mawile into sucker punch, it stayed encored for three turns, then encore ended so I encored it again and it was forced into sucker punch, but then the second encore ended that turn. Has that happened to anyone else? I can't find my 3ds at the moment so I can't upload and show the replay (so I guess I could just be misremembering, but I'm really sure it happened). My understanding was that encore was 3 turns regardless.
Yes, Encore always lasts 3 turns, if it succeeds. It ends early, however, if the afflicted pokemon runs out of PP of the affected move. Since Sucker Punch only has 5 base PP, that has to be what happened.
Wow, I never knew that. I figured it would force the pokemon to struggle like when you encore/disable or encore/taunt. Anyway, thanks! You taught me something new.
I keep having a Moltress pop up on me. Before I even get a chance to do anything it fleas. I even tryed a Dugtrio with arena trap and it still just fleas.

I assume you are talking about Moltres in X and Y. To get Moltres you must see Moltres first which you already did and then do the following things. First go to Undella town and walk to the water. Use Surf and swim up the the map where you will come to Undella Bay. Then in the middle there is a cave, walk in there and you will find the legendary bird Moltres. Also I haven't played XY in a while so this may not be 100% accurate.
Well, Dugtrio wouldn't do anything, because Arena trap only traps non-Flying Pokemon. You have to encounter Moltres 10 times before it rests in a cave in the Azure Bay. Good luck.
Anyway, I came here to ask a question. Do people think rain will still be viable/as viable once/("if") Deoxys-S is banned? It's on every good rain team atm, and I don't know how the playstyle will adapt without it.
I think you may have to encounter it around 10-14 times before it will be in the cave :)
Zygarde is BL. It's not OU by usage, but it's been banned from UU.

That thread is for wifi activities like looking for trades.
- It still hits Water-types super effectively in Inverse battles
- It has a 10% Freeze chance, so it is affected by Sheer Force. I doubt it would be if it didn't have the Freeze chance though.
What pokemon can best emulate Deoxys-S Revenge Killer LO set? Just asking because I know this thing is going to be banned soon.
