Reserving Jellicent

shitass_game_by_nastyjungle-d3j0lny.png

Somalia's Bane (Jellicent) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Hex

Sadly there's no room for Energy Ball. Jellicent acts as either a check or a counter, depending on the slash, because of its immunity to Scald, Taunt, and impressive bulk. If Slowking is running Fire Blast, Jellicent has no problem coming in, tanking hits, stalling Trick Room turns with Recover, and preventing Trick Room with Taunt. Against Nasty Plot, it has far more trouble. If Slowking uses Nasty Plot on the turn Jellicent switches in, it can 2HKO it with Psyshock. Meanwhile, Jellicent only 2HKOes if Slowking is already been hit with a status ailment. Hm, this isn't as effective as I'd hoped... I might try coming up with a second one.

0 SpA Jellicent Hex (65 BP) vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 114-134 (29 - 34%) -- 98.9% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Jellicent Hex (130 BP) vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 224-266 (56.9 - 67.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery and burn damage

252+ SpA Slowking Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Jellicent: 112-133 (27.7 - 32.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Slowking Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Jellicent: 53-62 (13.1 - 15.3%) -- possible 9HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ SpA Slowking Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Jellicent: 225-265 (55.6 - 65.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Slowking @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Tail / Grass Knot

Role: Counter

Oddly enough, AV Slowking beats OTR Slowking by walling its attacks and either phazing it with Dragon Tail or outdamaging it with Grass Knot.

252+ SpA Slowking Scald vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 36-43 (9.1 - 10.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252+ SpA Slowking Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 34-40 (8.6 - 10.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252+ SpA Slowking Psyshock vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Slowking: 72-85 (18.3 - 21.6%) -- possible 5HKO

252+ SpA Slowking Grass Knot (80 BP) vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 146-174 (37.1 - 44.2%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Also, shouldn't the OTR Slowking be Quiet>Modest and 0 Speed IVs (or at least slashed that way)?

Reserving Spiritomb

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Snarl
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Spiritomb is a Check. Calm Mind allows Tomb to compete with Slowking's boosts. Snarl is the preferred choice over Dark Pulse, just to lower it's special attack. RestTalk are the last two moves, as Tomb can then recover all the lost Scald damage.

252+ SpA Slowking Scald vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Spiritomb: 112-133 (36.8 - 43.7%) -- 99.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 0 SpA Spiritomb Snarl vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Slowking: 152-182 (38.6 - 46.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Reserving Rotom-C

Rotom-C for Check

$_35.JPG

Rotom-Mow @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
- Volt Switch

Rotom-C is only a check here at best and with Trick room up unless it's coming in on no hazards then it can only just survive with that 24 HP EV's from a Fire Blast. Leaf storm is more than capable to take Slowking out. But for a best case scenario is sending it out for a revenge kill at on the turn when Trick room is lifted.

Rotom-C > Slowking

252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-C Leaf Storm vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 504-594 (128.2 - 151.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-C Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 350-414 (89 - 105.3%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-C Volt Switch vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 270-320 (68.7 - 81.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Slowking > Rotom-C

252+ SpA Slowking Fire Blast vs. 24 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-C: 208-246 (84.2 - 99.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Slowking Psyshock vs. 24 HP / 0 Def Rotom-C: 114-135 (46.1 - 54.6%) -- 57.8% chance to 2HKO
252+ SpA Slowking Scald vs. 24 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-C: 57-67 (23 - 27.1%) -- 52.7% chance to 4HKO

Drapion is a nice check to Slowking. His decent bulk allows him to take a Scald and reply with a really powerful Knock Off :) Can also trap King with Pursuit if King is a low range of life or you know your opponent is going to switch!

Drapion @ Choice Band
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Aqua Tail
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab

Cacturne is a Check
332.gif

Cacturne @ Life Orb
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 spe / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Drain Punch

Cacturne, with Water Absorb, can switch into either of Slowking's STAB moves and OHKO with Seed Bomb or Sucker Punch.

252+ Atk Life Orb Cacturne Seed Bomb vs. 248 HP / 4 Def Slowking: 413-486 (105 - 123.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Cacturne Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 4 Def Slowking: 413-486 (105 - 123.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

You also outspeed Slowking at any condition except under TR, in which case you can predict a Fire Blast and take them with a Sucker Punch.

537.gif

Seismitoad @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Toxic
- Knock Off

This is a nice check as it can Knock Slowking Off and switch into Trick Room and take any hit while weakening Slowking. It can also use it as a fodder to setup Stealth Rock, fish for a Scald burn or cripple a switchin or Slowking with Toxic.

Jolteon

135Jolteon_BW_anime.png

Check (Mate)?

Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Bolt
- Hp Water/ Ice (Team dependent)
- Shadow Ball/ Signal Beam (Again team dependant)

(my preference are the first slashes)

252 SpA Choice Specs Jolteon Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 360-426 (91.6 - 108.3%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

So any prior damage will almost certainly ensure a OHKO (Rocks are amazing because even if it regenerators to full health it will take 12.5% on entry)

In case they go to switch out (which they should) you can use volt switch which enables you to keep up the momentum assuming no ground types

252 SpA Choice Specs Jolteon Volt Switch vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Slowking: 282-332 (71.7 - 84.4%)

On the other hand Jolteon can take any given hit from Slowbro

252+ SpA Slowking Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jolteon: 180-213 (66.4 - 78.5%)

Which means even if it Trick Rooms (Or Nasty Plots) you will be able to take an attack or will still out speed if they use nasty plot.

Jolteon will be worn down quickly so be careful with how you use it.

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOM (for 1 month but still). Time to update this thread, thanks a lot everyone for the cool submissions :D

Counter: Jeliicent (Ping_Pong_Along) | Seismitoad (Arifeen) | Slowking, with AV (michaeloche)
Check: Eelektross (BrandonBeast) | Drapion (fran17) | Alomomola (galbia)
Special mention: Cacturne (Miyami~~)
Thanks again, really appreciate it

Mega Steelix is a great answer to Broken Druddigon, as Fire Punch 3HKOs and Heavy Slam 2HKOs Druddy. Also MegaLix walls everything so yeah.

252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Druddigon Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Steelix: 138-164 (38.9 - 46.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Granbull as a Hard Check!!!

Granbull @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 56 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
- Close Combat

While not being fond of Druddigon's Gunk Shot, which still happens to OHKO after Intimidate, Granbull can easily switch into any other of Drudd's moves and OHKO with Play Rough. The cool thing about BandBull is that it can also lure out a Pokemon that might focus on sponging the incoming Play Rough and nab it with a coverage move of choice (eg. baiting out MegaLix, so you click CC).

Abomasnow is a check. While it cannot switch into Druddigon, it is able to outspeed it and K.O. it with Blizzard. The opposing team will also have a hard time switching in because this set is power. You can also outspeed w/ Ice Shard if you're worried about SP

Flygon @ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Iron Tail

Role: Check

A couple of sets can work here, but I chose the Choice Band set because I can. Needless to say, Outrage is an OHKO on Druddigon, and Flygon can switch in on Fire Punch and then always live a Sucker Punch, even after Stealth Rock. Of course, Druddigon's own Outrage will OHKO Flygon and then some, and Gunk Shot hurts too despite the resistance.

252+ Atk Life Orb Druddigon Outrage vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Flygon: 634-749 (210.6 - 248.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Druddigon Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Flygon: 140-166 (46.5 - 55.1%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Druddigon Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Flygon: 86-101 (28.5 - 33.5%) -- 44.2% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Druddigon Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Flygon: 136-161 (45.1 - 53.4%) -- 91.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Choice Band Flygon Outrage vs. 232 HP / 0 Def Druddigon: 536-632 (151.8 - 179%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic Spikes
- Flamethrower / Pain Split

Weezing is obviously not the ideal sponge, but it can switch in to anything but outrage with ease. If Druddigon does use outrage, Weezing is faster and can use Will-O-Wisp to get the burn 75% of the time. Since using outrage forces the user to stay in, you can guarantee the burn (assuming WoW hits), which is cool because it incentives the opponent to not use outrage if they need to keep their Druddigon at full power. It can take stealth rock, a normal outrage and a burned outrage assuming Weezing is at full and use sludge bomb/toxic spikes/ maybe pain split. Not the best if you need Weezing alive for something else, but if it's just Druddigon Weezing is a better choice than most.

Cofagrigus for a Check

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split
- Protect

Physical Defensive Cofag is really only a check here, but he does have the power to cripple Drud in a rather interesting way. It's extremely nice Defense stat helps a lot here, to be able to take shots well. Will-O-Wisp is the main thing here that helps out, by Burning Druddigon you take quite alot of his attack out of commission. However watch out for Outrage, as it is the only thing that can really threaten Cofag.

Druddigon > Cofagrigus

Unburned
252+ Atk Life Orb Druddigon Outrage vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 146-173 (45.7 - 54.2%) -- 5.9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb Druddigon Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 133-156 (41.6 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Druddigon Gunk Shot vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 64-75 (20 - 23.5%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

Burned
252+ Atk Life Orb burned Druddigon Outrage vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 73-86 (22.8 - 26.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb burned Druddigon Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 66-78 (20.6 - 24.4%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force burned Druddigon Gunk Shot vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 31-38 (9.7 - 11.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever

252+ Atk Life Orb Druddigon Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rotom-F: 110-131 (45.6 - 54.3%) -- 50% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Rotom-F Blizzard vs. 236 HP / 0 SpD Druddigon: 439-523 (124 - 147.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

220px-Kenzo_Aerodactyl.png

Aerodactyl @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 0 SpA
- Ice Fang / Wing Attack
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Stone Edge

New drops means new threats to take into account for and that means new victims of the week!! This mon has outstanding cleaning potential since it is so fast with pretty respectable power. Discuss

Reserving Weezing
weezing.gif

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Pain Split

Aerodactyl can't touch this really since the best move it has to hit weezing is an inaccurate 8 PP physical move. Weezing gets free Toxic Spikes up if it decides to stay in and can Pain Split if Aerodactyl wants to Roost. Will-o-Wisp only makes Aerodactyl more useless against Weezing and one of its moves don't even hit Weezing thanks to Levitate. Pretty nice counter.

Reserving Bronzong

tumblr_lp4l5g97cW1qldnllo1_500.png

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 128 Def / 132 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SpA / 2 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock

Seems like everyone has a different Bronzong spread, but they're all a hard counter. Gyro Ball is an OHKO while Aero's Stone Edge is only a possible 6HKO after Leftovers and rocks damage. This set's also cool for hitting Abomasnow, Durant, and other Steel types with HP Fire.

0 Atk Bronzong Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Aerodactyl: 410-486 (137.1 - 162.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Life Orb Aerodactyl Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 128+ Def Bronzong: 66-78 (19.5 - 23%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Aerodactyl Ice Fang vs. 252 HP / 128+ Def Bronzong: 29-34 (8.5 - 10%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Life Orb Aerodactyl Aerial Ace vs. 252 HP / 128+ Def Bronzong: 39-47 (11.5 - 13.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Even if Aero were running Crunch (not sure how common this is), this spread lets Bronzong still win unless the 20% Defense drop comes through.

252 Atk Life Orb Aerodactyl Crunch vs. 252 HP / 128+ Def Bronzong: 140-166 (41.4 - 49.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Reserving Mega Steelix

Steelix-Mega @ Steelixite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 224 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Heavy Slam
- Roar / Toxic

Steelix can switch into Aerodactyl a few times on Earthquake and a couple of times if Aerodactyl uses any other moves. It can force Aerodactyl out by threatening it with Heavy Slam or can set hazards upon given a free turn. Toxic can be used to pressure Pokemon like Alomomola that try to switch into Steelix.

Nevertheless, Steelix cannot switch in consistently against Aerodactyl, as Steelix does not have reliable recovery. Furthermore, the player needs to predict what Aerodactyl will use and therefore, need to play around it. Therefore, Steelix is a very good check.

252 Atk Aerodactyl Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Mega Steelix: 82-98 (23.1 - 27.6%) -- 76.6% chance to 4HKO
4 Atk Mega Steelix Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 0 HP / 44 Def Aerodactyl: 420-494 (139.5 - 164.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
