Moves
========
Hydro Pump is Oshawott's choice of STAB, as life orb Hydro Pump hits fairly hard against non-resistances. Ice Beam is the choice of coverage for grass types, 2HKO'ing Foongus and Cottonee on the switch.

236+ SpA Life Orb Oshawott Ice Beam vs. 116 HP / 196 SpD Eviolite Cottonee: 13-18 (59 - 81.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Air Slash allows Oshawott to hit Croagunk suppereffectively, 2HKO'ing it on the switch as well. Hidden Power Grass can also be ran if you would rather have coverage for other water types. Aqua Jet is useful for it's priority, allowing you to revenge kill things.

So I'm not QC but this set doesn't really seem like a good one to distinguish Oshawott's niche. The reason being that Corphish can run literally the exact same moves and do it better. Oshawott has slightly better bulk, but Corphish is much stronger.

Personally I'd try to find a different set that isn't literally done better by Corphish or be able to give a really specific reason to not run a Corphish with this set.

Not sure this thing HAS a niche.

Standard SD is done better by Corphish.

Abusing Torrent + SD + Aqua Jet is done better by Totodile, who has more attack and a better movepool.

Special Torrent set is outclassed by Froakie, who has the same SpA and more speed, and Piplup, which has the same SpA and Agility.

However, Oshawott does have access to Air Slash, which lets it hit Croagunk harder than anything Piplup or Froakie can do (on the special side) except HP Psychic, while still retaining coverage vs Grass-types. Maybe something like Substitute / Hydro Pump / Air Slash / HP Grass @ Salac Berry.

Corphish does learn Aerial Ace.

I think a special/mixed LO set with Substitute is probably the best way to go with Oshawott, since it gets some cool toys (Torrent, Encore) that it can't make use of as well with a Swords Dance set.
