Ok, the week's up!

I've decided to scrap the voting system as it's largely ineffective for this kind of project. Instead, I'll be archiving every Pokemon that gets submitted, as long as they actually hold true to threatening the core that is.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Impish / Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock / Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Knock Off / Gyro Ball / Hidden Power Fire / Thunder Wave

Mantine @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 52 Def / 208 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Scald
- Defog
- Haze / Toxic

What Pokemon can threaten this core? post them down below.

The deadline will be due February the 2nd.

I'm back.

- - - Kartana - - -

Kart is able to switch into Ferro relatively freely (besides hp fire and t-wave variants), and is able to set up an SD and threaten both Ferro and Mantine.

252 Atk Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 248 HP / 52 Def Mantine: 237-279 (63.5 - 74.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 Atk Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 248 HP / 52 Def Mantine: 471-555 (126.2 - 148.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Reserving mega manectric

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
-Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Mega manectric easily Koes both mantine U can use Overheat > Flamethrower but then mantine could really win the 1vs1 if u used Overheat before
252 SpA Manectric-Mega Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 208+ SpD Mantine: 360-424 (96.5 - 113.6%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
-2 252 SpA Manectric-Mega Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 208+ SpD Mantine: 180-216 (48.2 - 57.9%) -- 45.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Manectric-Mega Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 308-364 (87.5 - 103.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Manectric-Mega Overheat vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 444-524 (126.1 - 148.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

-1 0 Atk Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Manectric-Mega: 99-117 (35.2 - 41.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon

Magnezone traps Ferrothorn and BTFOs Mantine. AV, Sub and Specs all technically have a better MUs versus this core specifically but eeeehhh Scarf is generally nicer just ‘cuz Kartana’s a bully.

Reserving Z Stone Edge Terrakion.
terrakion.gif

Terrakion @ Rockium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock / Rock Polish
While Terrakion has rather fallen from grace from its glory days and should go to C+, it can still break this core effectively. While it can not switch into either, it can easily force out both, get swords dance, and obliterate both of them with its STABs.

Reserving Thundurus.

Thundurus (M) @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Taunt
- Nasty Plot

Thundurus has an easy time setting up on both Ferrothorn and Mantine due to taunt in his arsenal. Having both Thunderbolt and Focus Blast allows Thundurus to OHKO both at +2.

Garchomp as a threat.

Garchomp @ Firium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang

Garchomp has fallen from grace but can still pose a threat to this core. Firium Z may be an unusual and subar option but it is used on this set to break through 'mons such as Celesteela, Skamory and Tapu Bulu.

After an SD a +2 Dragon Claw does a significant amount of damage to Mantine, OHKOing after rocks:

+2 252 Atk Garchomp Dragon Claw vs. 248 HP / 52 Def Mantine: 327-385 (87.6 - 103.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

If rocks aren't up then it is possible for Mantine to haze away Garchomp's boosts but it will die to the next Dragon Claw.

Ferrothorn fails to 2hko Garchomp with its strongest option being Power Whip:

0 Atk Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 127-151 (35.4 - 42.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Meaning Garchomp can set up on it if need be.

Meanwhile Garchomp, after a boost, OHKO's Ferrothorn with Fire Fang or an Inferno Overdrive:

+2 252 Atk Garchomp Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 384-452 (109 - 128.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 Atk Garchomp Inferno Overdrive (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 700-828 (198.8 - 235.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

In the scenario that Mantine managed to remove Garchomp's boost before switching out or dying Garchomp still poses a threat to the core because even an unboosted Z-move OHKO's Ferrothorn:

252 Atk Garchomp Inferno Overdrive (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 352-416 (100 - 118.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

BSS Circuit Co-host
Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch
- Fire Punch

OHKOs Mantine, if opponent switches to ferro stone edge + fire punch has a high chance to kill, and almost always kills with any entry hazard support (obviously it'll OHKO if you get off a dragon dance).

Reserving 4 attacks m.mawile

Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fire Fang
- Thunder Punch
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch

M.Mawile can safley come in on most Ferrothorn, only with Gyro Ball 3hkoing and Twave to worry about, and can threaten back with the ohko from Fire Fang on Ferro, or Ohko from Tpunch on a Mantine switch. Play Rough even Koes Mantine after Rocks damage, easing prediction. M.Mawile outpaces Mantine too, not having to worry about Scald burns, hower is Paralysed, Thunder Punch still Ohkoes on the Roost. Giving M.Mawile a safe switch is never safe.
252+ Atk Huge Power Mawile-Mega Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 360-428 (102.2 - 121.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Huge Power Mawile-Mega Thunder Punch vs. 248 HP / 52 Def Mantine: 772-912 (206.9 - 244.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Huge Power Mawile-Mega Play Rough vs. 248 HP / 52 Def Mantine: 348-409 (93.2 - 109.6%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery

Reserving Taunt + Three attacks Lele

Tapu Lele @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

Taunt + Three attacks Lele breaks through this core very simply. It Taunts Mantine and Ferrothorn so they can't recover, 2HKOes the former with Psyshock while OHKOing the latter with Focus Blast or the Z-Version.

Oh. What's the difference between HWave Zapdos or M-Manec and my Lele as they're all specific checks ? And TBolt on Lele isn't that weird, as it can hit Celesteela on a switch for example.

EDIT : Ah ok my bad I misunderstood the thing, editing this now.

DOUBLE EDIT : So I edited my reservation and I'm now reserving Taunt + Three attacks Lele.

Choice Specs Tapu Koko
Tapu Koko @ Choice Specs
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Dazzling Gleam
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Fire

Thanks to being an electric type with Hidden Power Fire coverage, Tapu Koko can effectively threaten this core.
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Koko Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 244-288 (69.3 - 81.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Koko Volt Switch vs. 248 HP / 208+ SpD Mantine in Electric Terrain: 492-580 (131.9 - 155.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Gonna give this week 2 a shot with Keldeo

Keldeo @ Waterium Z / Fightinium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Taunt

Even if Keldeo dropped recently in VR, I think this set is a massive threat to this core. Taunt CM Keldeo break this core fairly easily, breaking Mantine with Taunt+CM, and smacking Ferrothorn with Secret Sword after a few boosts. The only thing Keldeo fears from this core is Power Whip, but Ferrothorn won't have a chance to use it if Keldeo got one or two boost, and even if Ferrothorn land one, Power Whip is a 2HKO. A good shit of this Keldeo set is how easily it can break balanced teams where you find this core, because almost always they pack a bulky Ground-type like Hippowdon, Gastrodon or Gliscor to patch the weakness to Choice Specs Koko with HP Fire this core has, meaning Keldeo get another potential setup fodder.

Kyurem-Black @ Icium Z
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Freeze Shock
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power

Icium Kyurem Black Threatens this core to shit since ferro dies into ice beam+subzero slammer and mantine doesn't take fusion bolts.
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Subzero Slammer (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 52 Def Ferrothorn: 304-358 (86.3 - 101.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 248 HP / 52 Def Mantine: 668-788 (179 - 211.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
