Cycle Nineteen - Snorlax
The Big Lax arrives! With its really huge bulk and good firepower Snorlax is able to pose both offensive and defensive threat: it easily can act as, for example, a Curse sweeper and a nice check to dangerous Pokemon like Kyurem and Chandelure. The said Curse sweeper set is Snorlax's most common option right now, but we all do remember from past gens how versatile and unpredictable Snorlax can be. So, we want you guys to demonstrate here that Snorlax should never be treated as a one trick pony!

Starf Berry
Snorlax @ Starf Berry
Ability: Gluttony
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Recycle
- Rest
- Darkest Lariat
- Body Slam
CurseLax but luck-based. Starf Berry raises a random stat by 2 when at 1/4 max HP or less. With Gluttony, that changes into 1/2 max HP or less.
Recycle allows you to boost up until you become an unlikable force, or you get destroyed early on. Either one works.
Being able to "set up" on Clef is nice though.

I spent a while thinking of what Snorlax could do that wasn't outclassed and I came up with this nuisance. Yawn is an annoying move in general, forcing opponents to switch or sack a mon to sleep. After coming in on a passive mon like Clefable, or Kyurem's Ice Beam, Snorlax can freely Yawn to force the incoming mon into a tough choice. Snorlax can just click the appropriate move at that point, with Heat Crash beating Corv and Ferro, EQ beating Pex and Chandelure (and having a 78.5% chance to 2HKO Pult after rocks), and Body Slam taking a nice chunk out of anything else. Lefties provides longevity. Max HP, enough Speed for Pex, and the rest in Attack.

Also ideally have some pivots to bring this in. Oh, and don't forget random WishPort Clef. Once you have all these pieces of Exodia, this thing might work for you.
This thing is like a much worse Dracovish, you only need to click one move once you curse. Like Lord Vish, this set is pretty ill, it will still killbill a lot of things.
For reference this is what it does to non-resists.

Doesn't Last Resort fail if it's the only move you know? The only reason Komala could pull it off is with Sleep Talk.I call this American Komala

This set is shamelessly stolen from gen4. Thanks to it’s juicy bulk, snorlax can act as a pseudo chansey, capable of phazing, while spreading paralysis. This makes snorlax a wonderful blanket check to a number of special set up sweepers, while acting as a solid status absorber, and paralysis spreader. While at first it may seem redundant, and even counterintuitive by preventing snorlax from taking advantage of its qualities as a set up sweeper (or even a more offensive set), whirlwind prevents special set up sweepers such as primarina, salazzle, as well as togekiss (if you’re lucky) from wrecking havoc. For example, salazzle and primarina can cripple snorlax with status, therefore forcing it to preemptively rest. This not only opens up holes for their teammates to capitalize on, it also allows them to gain free setup turns, as well as opportunities to come in and pressure your team. With whirlwind and rest talk, snorlax not only loses its passivity during its sleep turns, it allows it to pressure the opponent through the spread of paralysis, and by gaining momentum through the phasing of setup attempts and or switch ins.
This set works well on defensive teams and balances focused on hazard stack and the spread of status, chipping opponents, while preventing traditional balance breakers from doing their work, while also allowing hex dragapult and gengar to break the opponent. EVs optimize your special bulk, while hitting a leftovers number, and allowing you to phazer a +2 excadrill in a pinch.
tl;dr: fuck these prima + lazzle balances

General idea
One of the biggest issue Snorlax has is the low Spe stat that leaves it prone to be revenge killed and/or statused easily. Yes, Rest is here to get rid of the detrimental status Snorlax is affected to, but it is not that reliable and leaves you as a set-up bait. On the other hand, Facade uses a status thrown at Snorlax (i.e. a burn from a random Scald) transforming it into an additional power boost on our Normal-type STAB. Sometimes happens that a random Scald ruins your glorious Atk stat, thus forcing you to use twice Curse, but with Facade you are going to have the upper hand rather easily in a scenario like this.
The worst thing is that the threat that burns you is a Ghost-type....but in that case you can simply switch out and keep your Snorlax burned until you need to spam your Normal STAB.
The remaining moves are the usual ones of the Curse+Leftovers set.
This set murders and uses at its advantage special attackers, especially those with WoW (because you can stall it without the need to use Rest quickly).
EVs (spread) and item
The EVs spread and the item is stolen from the dex. I was torn between using Leftovers and Flame Orb (for consistency) but I thought that Leftovers would have been more useful in order to hide Facade until it was too late for the opponent.

Of course, there are some things you can't beat. Clefable laughs at anything you can do. Seed Bomb is slashed cos it 2HKOs most Seismitoad, but doesn't do much to anything else.
The best thing about this set is surprise value. It can break Corvi, Rotom, Drill and Hippo decently, plus Pex with a bit of hazard damage. Don't expect much else though and ensure you can beat Clef and Toad (if you're not using Seed Bomb).

What makes Snorlax so good is that it can't be hit by ghost nor get poisoned, so I made a Special Wall Physical Attacker. Let's check this thing out!

- Assault Vest: This tanks special attacks while still being able to do lots of decent damage with its movepool.
Moves that Snorlax would normally take damage for are Dazzling Gleam, Dark Pulse, Giga Drain, and other special moves.
However it will get killed by a special wallbreaker - not to mention calm mind boosts. (Goes to some calm mind set-uppers)
- Crunch and Darkest Lariat: Kills Gengar, Dragapult, Aegislash, and other mons that are weak to Dark, those are Jirachi and Mew. If Gengar disables your Crunch or Darkest Lariat you can always go for the other one, which will still do massive damage.
- Gunk Shot: Used to kill the fairies, as seen in my Obstagoon set. OHKOs Grimmsnarl and 2HKOs Clefable, Hatterene, and probably Togekiss.
- Outrage: Will most likely 2HKO all dragons, which are Dracovish, Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Defensive Kommo-o. What's good to note is this move will always last 2 turns and out, so you can technically OHKO all the threats shown above.
This set is checked by High Jump Kick (or other fighting move) Cinderace, Conkeldurr, and other Fighting move threats.

However it will get killed by a special wallbreaker - not to mention calm mind boosts. (Goes to some calm mind set-uppers)
- Crunch and Darkest Lariat: Kills Gengar, Dragapult, Aegislash, and other mons that are weak to Dark, those are Jirachi and Mew. If Gengar disables your Crunch or Darkest Lariat you can always go for the other one, which will still do massive damage.

I think that you forgot to update the calcs once you removed the Choice Band on your set because those calcs don't make sense with your Metronome set.

Trades in the ability to boost up with Curse and heal with Rest for being able to better handle stuff like Unaware Clefable, Corviknight, Seistoad, etc with Toxic while also avoiding Trick from things like Rotom-H with Substitute and can stall out Toxapex more hence the Speed EVs allowing Snorlax to outspeed Toxapex so it can sub before it can potentially Scald burn Snorlax, although you still have be wary of Baneful Bunker. Last move can be changed for Darkest Lariat or Earthquake depending on the rest of the team.
