OU RMT: The Set Up Sweepers

Hey there!
I've been lurking around here for a while, and I've decided to make a team. I'm also putting these on my Platinum game, and I'll mostly be using them there. Here it goes:

The Lead:

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Taunt
-Stealth Rock
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake

This guy is a great lead. Taunt is fantastic, and I always get SR up, no doubt.

The Wall Breaker:

Salamence @ Leftovers
Nature: Rash
Ability: Intimidate
EVs:
80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Earthquake
-Flamethrower
-Dragon Claw
MixMence is so buff, it's not even funny. Even though he's not one of my designated sweepers, he still puts the hurt on everyone he comes by.

The Pounder:

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Close Combat
-Megahorn
-Night Slash
-Stone Edge
Heracross' type coverage and high attack make this set dominate most of the Pokemon that come to wall it. People expect me to CC, they switch into a Ghost, and I Night Slash for an OHKO.

The Pink Special Sponge:

Blissey @ Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 SpA
-Protect
-Softboiled
-Toxic
-Seismic Toss
Miss Bliss over here is fantastic at what she does, and only what she does: wall Specials. Not much explaination here.

The Special Sweeper:

Togekiss @ Lum Berry / Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 152 SpA / 104 Spe
-Nasty Plot
-Roost
-Air Slash
-Aura Sphere
This guys runs through everyone. With his huge defensive stats, I don't have to worry about getting at least one, maybe two Plots in. Then I run through teams like there's no tomorrow. Also my personal favorite. =D

The Physical Sweeper:

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
This guys makes sweeping almost easy. I usually don't reveal him 'till far in the late game, when Starmie / Jolteon have been KO'd. Then I come in on something that would run, and DD. Then I pretty much win.
Oh, and he's not really shiny, unfortunately. This HG/SS Sprite just looks so dang cool. =D

Allright, thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry if this doesn't help too much, it's my first rate.

EVs:
252 Def / 80 SpA / 176 SpD
- Ice Beam
- Softboiled
- Toxic / Thunderwave
- Seismic Toss

I've bolded the changes I made. The previous EV spread was etrocious and you had absolutely no reason to put protect on the set, trust me, this is better.

The Special Sweeper:

Togekiss @ Lum Berry / Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 152 SpA / 104 Spe
-Nasty Plot

The Physical Sweeper:

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Intimidate
EVs:
156 HP / 108 Atk / 100 Def / 144 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Taunt

BulkyGyara is better for this team in specific, he makes a better Scizor Counter / Check, which this team desparetly needs.

I also took out EQ because Mence already carries it and this will allow Gyara to set up on walls easier, preventing them from Roaring / Thunder Waving / Toxicing him to ruin a sweep.

Allright, thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for your help.

I notice right off the bat that this team has a stupidly large stealth rock weakness, which if you've played the current metagame isn't really the best idea, you're lacking something to take physical hits well, and you only have one thing to really dish out full special hits.

I'm going to suggest you get rid of Aerodactyl, Heracross and Togekiss in place of some Pokes that may help you a bit more.

I'd recommend going with a more bulky SR lead, as those can help bunches because you wont be just wasting the Poke, there are a few Pokes that come to mind, but I've grown very attached to Scarf Rachi as a lead.

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe - Jolly
Ability - Serene Grace
~ Iron Head
~ Trick
~ Stealth Rock
~ U-turn

This Jirachi gives you the ability to quickly set up SR at the start of the match, provide a chance to cripple a Poke with trick and possibly do some scouting.

If you'd like to know more about the set, check out Rachi's page:http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/jirachi
It's the second set down.

Now, you've only got four Pokes with Rachi in there, so let's give you a good special hitter.

There's not too many Pokemon I can think of at the moment who would do a good job at filling the spot on this particular team, I do see a few options for you though.

Gengar never hurt anyone, he's always been a steady choice, and seeing as you lack Ghost, Fighting, and Electric coverage, he is a good choice.

Take a look at this set, I think it could help:
Gengar @ Life Orb
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe - Timid
Ability - Levitate
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]

http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/gengar

Check the first set on his page out, Iit will supply you with a good description on how to use it well, but I believe Gengar will supply the most coverage for you team.

I'm assuming the original intention of this team was to be a team where you had several Pokemon set up, correct? Well then Mismagius may very well be the Pokemon for you. There's only one real problem I can see with it, and that's the classic "moveslot syndrome" It wants too many attacks, but because of the set that's reccomended for it will have Shadow Ball and either Tbolt or HP [Fighting].

Mismagius @ Leftovers
48 HP / 208 SpA / 252 Spe - Timid
Ability - Levitate
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt / Hidden Power [Fight]
- Shadow Ball

If you had some other form of fighting / electric coverage Missy here would be the Pokemon for you, try reading its page to get a feel for it.

http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/mismagius

I don't see too many other options for you, but you do have 2 ground immunities, so Scarf Heatran is always a possibility, but I think my suggestions may suit you better.

With all of this out of the way, I think there's a large Mence/Gyarados weakness on this team. I think I know the perfect solution for this:
Porygon 2.

Porygon 2's devensive duck set is the perfect counter to Gyarados and DD Mence. So I'd give it a try:

Porygon 2 @ Leftovers
252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpA - Bold
Ability - Trace
- Dishcharge
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Toxic

This keeps Gyarados and Mence in check as well as a few other sweepers, Heatran and Dugtrio come to mind, but those are only because of trace.

This gives you nice Electric and Ice coverage and gives you Para (possibly) and Toxic support.

Check its page out to get a feel for it.

That's all I have to say, really.

Hope I helped!

Hmm, I know what you mean about Aero...
He's a bit too fragile at times. Now for the Jirachi idea, I would totally do it on Shoddy, but since I'm using this team on my DS, and I don't have access to a Jirachi with the correct nature/IVs and whatnot, so how do you feel about a Metagross lead?:

Metagross @ Occa Berry
Nature: Adamant or Jolly
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 232 HP / 232 Atk / 12 Def / 12 Spe
-Stealth Rock
-Meteor Mash / Earthquake
-Bullet Punch
-Explosion

I see how the Trick lead functions better, but none come to mind besides Azelf and Jirachi, both of which I have no access too. Suggestions? =D

And about the Physical Wall lack, I see what you mean. Sometimes I come across a hard hitter and I have no one to turn to. I was thinking either Bronzong or Porygon2.

I used Gengar before, and I was kind of frustrated. He is very fragile, and Focus Blast's accuracy causes him to die very quickly. And with the abundance of Scizors and Empoleons whose priority moves OHKO it, I took it out and replaced it with Togekiss.

Thanks for your help!

Metagross can run trick as well, actually.

That set is fine as well.

Use P2, it fits the purpose more than Bronzong, and I still suggest Missy, it's far better than Togekiss.

Ok, I'll go for the Metagross. The Trick lead from the analysis would work well, what do you think?
So I'll swap Heracross for P2 and Mismagius for Togekiss, correct?

Thanks!

Trick Lead or the one you have will be fine, and the other two changes are good too, tell me how it works out!

I realized the majority of your team has a weakness against mixed Infernape. Salamence, Heracross and Blissey are OHKOed. Grass knot takes out 57~60% from Gyarados with a life orb boost and HP ice hits Togekiss for slightly more than 50%. Either that or a fast rotom with HP ice will do significant damage to your choice sweepers.

Alright so here's pretty much the final lineup:

Trick Metagross
MixMence
P2 (It should be Uber, no joke)
Blissey
Togekiss (Still sticking with him, I don't really like Mismagius all that much, I tried it out and it wasn't really what I was looking for. Togekiss' easy setup / 2HKO on Blissey really helps me out.)
BulkyGyarados

Okay, thank you so much for your help!

Oh, and doomdg, about Infernape, my Heracross can easily OHKO with Close Combat. Also, Togekiss survives any hit, and OHKOs with Air Slash.
I've never had a problem with it. Cross usually gets it out of my hair right away. And P2's always there now.
