OU RMT: Why Hello There!

Why hello! This is my first post, and after reading a great deal about Pokémon strategies around these forums and the main site, I decided to make myself a team. This team has been doing great for me on Shoddy, with a win rate of 11-1, but I'm going to be using these guys on my DS, over WiFi.

Team at a Glance:

In Depth:

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Taunt
-Stealth Rock
-Rock Slide
-Ice Fang -> Earthquake

This guy has stopped many strategies down cold. It protects my team from (Toxic) Spikes/Stealth Rock, and destroys any attempts at Baton Passing. I chose him after my other lead, Skarmory, got dominated by one over on Shoddy. I gave him a try and my team no longer had to worry about those nasty switch-in damagers! Taunt and Stealth Rock are obvious, and I opted for Rock Slide over Stone Edge because of the flinching, and Ice Fang is just in case.

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Close Combat
-Night Slash
-Megahorn
-Stone Edge

Gotta love this guy. He's been with me since I got my Silver Version all those years ago. He's my go-to guy for Statuses and Psychic/Ghost types. With the Choice Scarf, he out speeds all non-Scarfed Pokémon and can Night Slash for the kill. Close Combat and Megahorn, his two STABs, can also put the whoopin' on anything that don't resist them. Stone Edge is for those pesky Flying types.

Salamence @ Life Orb/Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
80 Atk/252 SpA/176 Spe
Rash Nature
-Draco Meteor
-Outrage
-Flamethrower
-Earthquake

The MixMence from the main site. Draco Meteor seriously dents anything that's not Steel, and Flamethrower/EQ get those that resist it. Outrage is for when I'm stuck in a tight spot, usually against other Salamence or Dragonite.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
252 HP/252 SpD/4 Spe
Calm Nature
-Seismic Toss
-Toxic
-Softboiled -> Wish
-Protect

Oh, Blissey. I love Blissey. She serves the standard purpose as the special wall, but I added Protect just for fun. It helps when I'm facing a physical opponent who's going to die in one more Toxic hit. All I do is switch into a Special, Toxic on the switch, then switch out. Also very useful late game, when the opponent is left with a special attacker.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf/Expert Belt
Ability: Download
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Modest/Timid Nature
-Tri Attack
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Psychic

My special sweeper. This guy runs through a bunch of Pokémon, and especially easily with the Choice Scarf. Download gives me a bunch of special attack bonuses, because most of the Pokémon in OU have higher defense than special defense. With a Modest Nature, I usually use the Choice Scarf, but with Timid, I can opt for the Expert Belt.

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Ice Fang -> Stone Edge
-Earthquake

The best physical sweeper I've used so far. I Dragon Dance on the switch, and the combination of Water/Ice/Ground has great type coverage. I easily rip through the opponents teams and find myself with victory! Woohoo!

Troubles:
I have troubles with some Steel Pokémon if my Salamence goes down, especially Bronzong with Levitate. Also, Bullet Punch Scizor can kill my Salamence if it gets lucky, and it's free to put the hurt on my team.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You should go with Wish>Softboiled on Blissey if you want to use Protect. That way, you could also heal teammates if the situation required it.

To deal with Steels, you could put HP Fire or Fighting on Porygon-Z. But since you plan to use this on Wi-Fi getting HP could be harder, I guess. Both of those HPs require a Speed IV of 30 (of course, that's for Shoddy, where everything is as perfect as possible). So you have to rethink your EVs. With HP Fire and a Modest nature (the following numbers for both HPs are not including a Scarf), use 220 Speed EVs (or whatever will get you to 270 Speed, 220 is assuming an IV of 30), and with HP Fighting and a Modest nature, run 252 Speed EVs to force a tie with a +Speed natured Heatran, as you can hit him super-effective with HP. The benefits of HP Fire would be the x4 on Scizor and Forretress and x2 on Skarmory and Levitate Bronzong, whereas Fighting would get you x4 on TTar and x2 on Heatran (the x2 hit on Blissey is overshadowed by Tri Attack, which is only slightly weaker but has 3 very nice side effects).

Allright, I tested HP Fire, and it goes great, but what move should I replace for it? I need T-bolt for Gyarados, and Ice Beam for Dragons. I was thinking Psychic, because the main Fighting threats in OU are Heracross and Lucario, who are both weak to Fire.

You should change Hera's nature to Jolly over Adamant. The power loss isn't a big deal, and Jolly lets you KO Timid Scarf Heatran.

ok, let us start

i like your choice of aerodactyl, as it can greatly benefit your pokes with taunt
the moveset is a little iffy though
taunt and stealth rock are ok, but im not sure about ice fang/rock slide. ice/rock resisted by a lot of things, and rock/ground (only flygon, breloom, and torterra resist) and ice/ground get much better coverage. (only bronzong resists both) so take one of them out for earthquake, id say ice fang since rock slide is more powerful.

man scarfcross is awesome, i used to have one on my team, great revenge killer though at the same time i can see why its going down in use, sometimes its too easy to predict (thats why i threw EQ over night slash lol)

on blissey i would definitely opt for twave over toxic. your team has no problem dishing out the pain, nor is it suitable to a long stalling game. twave can support the rest of the team by allowing easy kills and easy setups (im looking at you gyarados)

personally i never really understood why people ran adamant on gyarados instead of jolly. makes it vulnerable to jolteon =/. but thats not the problem here. ice fang over stone edge means you get walled by gyarados but revenge killing it is no problem.

i cant see any gaping weakness, best i can think of is sub heatran which can spread toxic and fire blast your stuff =/ very nice team

and by the way keep psychic if this is going on DS, i was going to point out a gengar weakness but thats covered by porygon!!

I'd personally change out Heracross for the other Bug type, Scizor. I don't even see why you would call that your status absorber seeing as how despite having Guts, paralysis probably makes it useless, and not to mention, Blissey exists. The reasoning for Scizor is that it gives you a guarantee priority. Other Scarfers can still outspeed Heracross, and the ability to CB Scizor gives you way more power. The U-Turn usage here helps a whole bunch as well.

Another change is Porygon-Z. With Blisseys and Tyranitars and Rotoms and Scizors running around everywhere, PZ isn't really going to have an easy time. If anything, I'd much rather go with Infernape who can make life easier for your Gyarados and in conjunction with Salamence will even fuck more things up. Another way to go would be Jolteon, who's natural speed allows you to easily use Specs on it and just pummel shit to the ground with Tbolts.

I see what you're going for with the Scizor thing, but I like the type coverage Heracross gives me. I'll test Scizor out. As for PZ: I love the moveset. Jolteon can't learn Ice Beam or Psychic...
What would be your ideal moveset for a Jolteon? I know Scizor's would be:
Scizor @ CB
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
-Pursuit

Choice Band and Swords Dance? Do you mean Pursuit?

A pretty solid team, I'm just going to do some nitpicking.
Your pretty stealth rock weak, for starters, Yeah I won't include Aerodactyl since he dies in the beginning most the time. On PoryZ ditch Psychic, it has no good coverage in my opinion besides Machamp.Dark pulse or HP fight is more useful for sure. On Heracross, pursuit is usually better than night slash, except for if your trying to beat a Dusknoir.(Who your better off just toxicing with Blissey). And lastly, Gyara being the only thing preventing Scizor from sweeping your whole team, Should probably be bulky gyara, so it softens the blows from bullet punch, U turn, whatever Scizor may throw at you.
And yeah, thats all I have to say. GL with the team.
