OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers (Read the OP First!)

So this might seem like a stupid question, but could someone explain the term "win condition" to me? I've seen it thrown around here and there and have never been sure exactly what it means.

A win condition is a condition that must be met in order to win the game. Pokemon only has one win condition and that is fainting all of your opponents pokemon, there was some talk about changing sleep clause from sleep moves simply having no effect once an opposing pokemon is put asleep to losing the game if you put a second pokemon asleep, but as always status quo prevailed and nothing was done.

@TeraVoltage: I'd definitely stick with Starmie -- with Hydro Pump/Surf spam you'll be able to soften up the opponent's Water resistances such to a point that you can overwhelm assuming you're playing right. Rapid Spin is way more reliable than Magic Bounce, and Espeon sucks. With Kyurem-B handling most Electric-types I think you'll definitely be okay. I'm interested as to what Hidden Power you're running on Keldeo with this team -- Ghost? You might even want to consider SubCM considering what you've got on your team (just a random thought). That prevents annoying statuses and what have you.

Ah yeah, I did test espeon because i was bored and your right Its not the best. Keldeo has hp ghost, and i dont like to run sub because I setup a cm on a forced switch mainly and kill something. Later on many times i have been able to do it again as long as i had the hp for it. Status might be annoying but i havent had trouble yet, I'll probably test lum berry.

Could someone link me to a thread or RMT that is an example of how to use Blaziken? I'm playing in another metagame where they don't have Blaziken banned and I want to show them they've made the wrong decision.

I'd check the RMT archive. I'm sure you can find some good Blaziken teams there. Also I suggest checking the Dream World RMT section. I think Taylor made a tea, featuring Blaziken which peeked #1

Sorry I can't link you to the pages, I'm on my phone atm. Anyway good luck

Why does the standard Specially Defensive Heatran set run 248 HP evs? As far as I can tell this doesn't like do anything special and the current analysis doesn't give an explanation...

Another reason might be or Stealth Rocks. Having an odd HP number lets you come back in on SR and live with 1 HP.

248 evs(385 Hp for Heatran) is one of the values of HP for gain a extra hp with leftovers. Anyway 248 is great to surviva with 1 hp to Stealth Rocks.

Leftovers numbers are denoted by being divisible by 16 and adding 1. 384 is not divisible by 16 -- therefore this is not true. However, I was wrong on one point in dividing by decimals, not fractions. 386 / (1/8), Stealth Rock or 1 layers of Spikes damage; 386 / ((1/8) + (1/8)), Stealth Rock and 1 layer of Spikes; 386 / (1/6), 2 layers of Spikes; and 386 / (1/4), 3 layers of Spikes) are all whole numbers, meaning for those specified hazard amounts, 248 HP takes less. Reverting on-site, and sorry for the confusion.

Landorus-T will need 184 Speed EVs to outspeed Adamant 228 Toxicroak, which hits a Speed stat of 263. Adamant max Speed Toxicroak will require 208 Speed EVs to outspeed, and Jolly Toxicroak will require 208 EVs and a speed boosting nature of your own.

Dumb question, but for the suspect testing voting, is it 2000+-55 for OU Suspect and OU (the old one) or OU Current?

Hello! :)
My question is this: Why my Latios Hidden P. (Fire) hits so low? Is it normal?

Latios Lvl 100

Nature: Timid
Item: Life Orb
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Surf
HD (fire)
Psyshock
Draco Meteor

SP. ATT: 350

Come on, it was not even capable of take the half of the Hp of Reds Venasaur in PWT

You likely don't have good IVs, Hidden Powers are determined by your Pokemon's IVs that range from 0-31 in every stat from when you get it, if they are low, the Hidden Power will in turn be low.
