I only joined smogon today but I know about pokemon stuff for a while. Since I never liked OU I started with making a UU team first. Stall was the strategy of choice because it doesn't need to much prediction. Here is the team and let me know what you think.

In depth look:
i_hippopotas_male.gif
@ Leftovers| Sandstream
252 HP / 164 Atk / 92 Def
Impish Nature

- Yawn
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Protect

Hippopotas starts the sandstorm to break sashes and to make leftovers useless. It also lays down stealth rocks to hit flying pokemon and levitators. Yawn and protect makes a great combination to screw overU-turners. Earthquake is a stab move to hit pokemon not resisted to it.

------------------------
i_clefable.gif
@ Flame Orb| Magic Guard
252 HP / 152 Def / 100 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature

- Wish
- Seismic Toss
- Encore
- Heal Bell

Magic guard is such a great ability as it allows clefable to avoid damage from entry hazards and sandstorm. Thus it makes a great pokemon to a weather stall team. It gives my team wish support and cures status. Encore forces a lot of switches and it also prevents ghost pokemon from setting up on it.

------------------------
i_cacturne.gif
@ Bright Powder| Sand Veil
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Seed Bomb
- Sucker Punch

Cacturne is my spikes and revenge killer with sucker punch. With bright powder his evasiveness raises with 20%, which is a dangerous feature on something with a base 115 attack. Seed bomb is a secundary stab attack and Leech Seed is there to force switches and to give some much needed recovery.

------------------------
i_blastoise.gif
@ Leftovers| Torrent
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature

- Surf
- Rapid Spin
- Roar
- Ice Beam

Blastoise is my ice and water resist and the rapid spinner of the team. It can also abuse entry hazards with roar. Surf and Ice beam provide decent coverage. Rest is not needed as I have wish support.

------------------------
i_dusclops.gif
@ Leftovers| Pressure
4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature

- Night Shade
- Torment
- Protect
- Gravity

Slightly bulkier then Spiritomb I choose for Dusclops as my anti-spinner and fighting resist. Night Shade is to deal 100 damage all around which is decent for a pokemon with a not so great attack stat. Torment + Protect + Pressure is a nice combination someone once said to me. Gravity is mostly a filler move so flying pokemon and levitators are hit by spikes.

------------------------
i_moltres.gif
@ Leftovers| Pressure
248 HP / 84 Def / 176 Spe
Timid Nature

- Flamethrower
- Substitute
- Roost
- Toxic

Stalling Moltres is such an annoying pokemon. Easy strategy but with great results. Substitute first, Toxic after that and then the stalling could begin. This is also my second Pressure pokemon so my opponent needs to watch out.

Thanks for reading this RMT. Suggestions, ... leave them here.

Welcome to Smogon.

Is Clefable's Heal Bell necessary when it's already taking status with it's status orb? I suggest you either drop Heal Bell or change the item to Leftovers. If you drop Heal Bell, you should put Protect in it's place for Wish healing, and additionally, change the item to Toxic Orb, because it can give your opponent the idea you might start spamming Facade and force them to switch into something that can give you easy Wish passes, like Registeel.

I don't see why you need Cacturne to have Brightpowder; 20% evasiveness is already decent. I suggest you change the item to Leftovers to check things like Milotic better.

Dusclops should be Calm > Careful in case of rogue Parafusion Lanturn so you take less damage from confusion. Additionally, you should use either Toxic or Will-O-Wisp in place of Gravity.

Everything else is fine; good luck!

Hello and welcome to Smogon.

Swellow can cause your team so serious problems. That's why I would like to suggest Rotom instead of Dusclops. Rotom is part Electric type so he resist every move Swellow has (except the uncommon Pursuit).

Rotom @ leftovers/ timid/ levitate
252 HP, 252 Spe, 4 SAtk

- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Will-o-wisp/ Shadow Ball
- Pain Split

This Rotom can be a pain to take out and the strategy is simple. Levitate also allows your team to take Ground attacks easier (if Stealth Rock is up so Moltres can't switch-in).

Hope this helped and good luck with the team!

I like this team, although there are few things I think that could change. Firstly, I can see Mismagius and Alakazam problems. Clefable isn't going to be hurting Missy (Apart from Encoring, but that won't help in the long run), and Kazam would Focus Blast you to oblivion. For this reason, I suggest changing your spin-blocker to Spiritomb:

Spiritomb @ Leftovers/Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 SpD
Nature: Adamant
-Shadow Sneak
-Pursuit
-Will-O-Wisp/Pain Split/Return
-Trick (CB)/Sucker Punch (Lefties)

I would also suggest changing Moltres' EVs up a little. LO Milotic isn't THAT common, but enough that should need to outspeed it, otherwise it wipes Moltres off the planet. Toxicroak could also cause this problems as well, so I'd suggest changing Moltres' spread to 252 HP/40 Def/216 Spe Timid, the defense loss is not THAT significant.

Hope I helped, good luck with your team.

Forget CBTomb. You need to run a Leftovers Specially Defensive variant so that Sub + Nasty Plot Mismagius doesn't 6-0 you. You're only defense against that currently is Cacturne's Sucker Punch, who is KO'd by HP Fighting and frail in general. I mean I guess Clefable can last a bit with Encore, but a smart opponent will just PP Stall that and proceed to save Mismagius for late-game.

Also on Blastoise, consider Foresight over Ice Beam. You need to ensure that Stealth Rock is off your side of the field for Moltres to be effectively able to stall. Foresight might just be the best option to guarantee removal of entry hazards against the majority of ghosts, bar Rotom of course, who takes quite a bit of damage from Surf.

First you didn't really explain why you have protect on your lead. It definitely needs slack off.
Next, I think substitute would be a lot better than spikes on your Cacturne. It goes great with leech seed and is broken with sucker punch.

Protect works brilliantly on Hippo, and its rarely going to get the opportunity to use Slack Off and make anything of it anyway. Protect works well to accumulate SS damage, break Sashes while avoiding Fake Outs itself, scout moves, and Block U-Turns and force Yawn to work on Uxie and the like.

Another possible solution to fix your Mismagius weakness and to help a large part against Special Attackers in general (LO Moltres seems to be a bit troublesome as well, as Blastoise cannot continually switch into Fire Blasts and takes a little over 50% from Hidden Power [Grass]) would be to use a special defensive Cradily over Cacturne. Cradily also gives stall quite a few problems (this is speaking from experience!) and 516 Special Defense in sand is just unheard of. Moltres generally takes care of most of the fighters as well, as does Dusclops.

Cradily (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Suction Cups
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Seed Bomb
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Rolfkip used this several tests ago, as did i, and i wasn't disappointed in the least with it.

Another thing that may be worth a try is using either Special Defensive Taunt Mismagius or Physically Defensive Pain Split Rotom over Dusclops. Both of these are much harder to spin against than Dusclops, whom Hitmontop and Blastoise will both easily Foresight -> Rapid Spin on. Rotom helps you a bit more against physical Life Orb Fighters, whilst Mismagius helps you against other stall teams with Taunt and Will O Wisp slowly wearing down the opposition. If you want either of these sets, i'd be happy to provide them!

Just some quick ideas, good luck!

Alright, here's the set sir.

Rotom @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP/252 Def/8 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt

It works wonders on defensive teams such as this one, and now that i notice, this really helps your considerably large Swellow weakness while still being able to switch into Choiced Fighters as well as things like Life Orb Hitmontop and spinners. If you find any reason to run extra Speed EVs, you can do so, i just use 8 because i am paranoid about other defensive Rotoms. x)

In a sandstorm Cradily's Special Defense is sky-high will take very little damage from super effective special attacks that he could easily Rest off. Paired with Suction Cups, all of the Curses that Cradily has gained are staying.
