Welcome to OUPL V!

Details:

1. There are 8 teams in total.
2. The slots will be:
3 USM OU
1 ORAS OU
1 BW OU
1 DPP OU
1 ADV OU
1 Bo3 (USM OU/ORAS OU/BW OU aka Smogon Tour tiers)
3. SPL inactivity rules.
4. Managers do not play.
5. There are no retains.
6. Each team has a player cap of 16 (not including managers).

The schedule will roughly be as follows:
Singups: Monday, March 11
Auction: Weekend of Sunday, March 24
Week 1: Monday, March 25
Week 2: Monday, April 1
Week 3: Monday, April 8
Week 4: Monday, April 15
Week 5: Monday, April 22
Week 6: Monday, April 29
Week 7: Monday, May 6
Semis: Monday, May 13
Finals: Monday, May 20
Finish: Sunday, May 26

This will be the home of your hyping, gassing, among other things. We're going to use the thread for purposes of managers being able to submit their Discords and produce the discussion that did not happen in the old thread.

I'll try to be a little lax on this thread still, but a ground rule:

1) Saying "nigga" is still banned from this thread, and since a user was not aware, is not allowed anywhere on Smogon.com/forums and is a global rule. Keep it within your circle of friends, that's fine by me. Just don't post it here. We will infract for this.

This is going to be an interesting OUPL imo simply because it seems less serious than the other ones. Usually, the atmosphere seems very tense in things like this, but this OUPL seems very lax. Im interested to see what picks and trades happen, as that could shift what team would probably win tremendously.
 
no point in this thread if everything is going to get deleted. if you are trying to make oupl NOT a cesspool then you aren't running oupl right, let it be a shithole for the 2 months it is a thing, i don't see how its a bad thing because it keeps shit interesting if bad players are beefing w other bads and it never leaks out into the rest of the forum either. no point in banning banter for the sake of it, just sucking any amount of fun out the tour by cutting off shitposting. i think there is a very clear line between the shitposts that just got deleted and the degnerate ooga booga shitposting that was around yesterday

Im interested to see what infractions and deletions happen, as a player getting banned could shift what team would probably win tremendously.
 
I have observed that this iteration of the Over Used Premier league will forseeably be more peculiar for the reason that the solemnity of this edition appears to be higher than that of previous events equally labeled Over Used Premier League. Historically the milieu of such team tournament is quite taut, however the current iteration looks to present a more complacent ambience for players and spectators alike. I find myself intrigued to behold what allotments and barterings will take place, as such activities will perhaps swerve the troupe whose victory will eventually be achieved.
 
When they ask you for availability and you are like:
"Availability: court dates on March 22 and April 31 "

This man already deserves to be drafted
