P-p-p-platinum!

So I've been trying out the platinum changes, and they are quite awesome. I can't do pictures right now since I have to go to bed soon, but I've netted a win streak with this team so far. Here ya go

Claydol @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 162 HP/96 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Trick
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
- Light Screen

This is pretty cool. He acts like every other Scarf leader, and this one outspeeds many common high speed leads for Trick. I Trick leads I think don't have Scarf and are going to use a set up move, then Stealth Rock. Explosion or Light Screen comes next depending on what comes in; I'm considering Trick Celebi (defensive) or Azelf (get to keep Explosion) over this with U-Turn over Light Screen to take on those switches better, but Claydol is pretty fun to have as it provides a good Fight, Ground and Electric resist.
---
Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/110 Atk/148 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit

Rotom's best buddy. And also worst enemy. Pursuit revenge killing has never been so sweet. But Tyranitar takes on Rotom's weaknesses of Ghost and Dark like a pro too.
---
Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 220 HP/252 Atk/36 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- X-Scissor
- Brick Break

You know how this dude works. He's fun to have instead of Garchomp (immunity to Toxic Spikes) and Bullet Punch is simply a godsend against Shaymin, Gengar and the like.
---
Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 20 HP/236 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Explosion

With the abundance of steels and Shaymin, this thing is also amazing. He pairs nicely with Scizor to take mean fire attacks, and is just overall a fun revenge killer.
---
Rotom-w @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/92 Def/166 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

He take's Tyranitars Ground, Steel and Fighting weaknesses awesomely. I love Rotom, especially this one, since he makes a cool Rapid Spin blocker with excellent attacks to back him up. Hydro Pump is nice for Swampert, Claydol or Donphan, but I'm considering Rotom-H for Overheat as many steels like to come in on this.
---
Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 72 HP/252 Atk/184 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Waterfall

No one really prepared for this threat well enough. 2 DDs means I eat Shaymin, Salamence and many Zapdos for breakfast. Rotom doesn't like taking that STAB Waterfall either.
---

Normally I dont take replacement suggestions but in this case I wouldn't mind. Rotom and Tyranitar is an amazing combo so I don't think they'll go.

Any help is appreciated, once again. :happybrain:

I suggest experimenting with Aqua Tail>Earthquake on Tyranitar to 2HKO Gliscor and Hippowdon switch ins. If you use aqua tail however, you may not be able to 2HKO Metagross and Jirachi. Both have their ups and downs.

Why no speed EVs on gyarados?

Oi thank you Bogmire; I must have put those speed EVs into Def by accident

I'll play around with Aqua Tail some as they are indeed common switch ins to me.

interesting lead but most deoe outspeed you and taunt.. has that been a problem?

you could also try standard boah with ice beam, focus punch and crunch, to help maintain a rotom/tar defensive core.. pursuit is important though so you could try pursuit fire blast ice beam eq *utility* tar @ lum or something. make him offensively EVd but give him lefties. Just an idea. cbtar is pretty great these days but status is also flying around like hell to disable random fast threats like mence/skymin/heatran so i like lum on a poke like that every now and then

bulky waters kinda give you trouble, suicune mostly.. cbtar can punch a whole in them but would prefer not to switch. sub cm hp elec/ib surf, timid LO cm, hell even crocune is worrying. roar swampert is also a bitch.. you could also try sdef cut rotom with light screen to help out but crucune will still squeak by you.
standard zapdos over rotom is cool but you lose that cool defensive core+spinblock. scarf zapdos with roost is also an idea (scarfroosting against other zapdos is fun xD) over heatran too.

Heh if you are going for the trick lead you might want to try something that will outspeed the ever so common deo-e. CBtar is nice since it hits like a truck and is able to switch into zapdos safely. Your team looks pretty good, only problem I see is you might want to find a way to get will-o-wisp on your rotom to counter and scare away huge physical threats. also to bait some heatran to eat a hydro pump to the face lol

Alright, all of gorm's ideas were very intruiging. And for now I have a new lead, Trick Celebi.

Celebi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Spd/38 SDef
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Trick
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed

It has 480 speed with this spread (492 is as high as it goes). It allows me to use the Trick-Rock set up at a high speed, Leech Seed support, and U-Turn to a counter all in one.

Now I'm strongly considering Trick Metagross or Jirachi to have a rock resist. Celebi acts as a nice Suicune counter for now, but Cut Rotom sounds pretty sweet right about now as gorm suggests, as Swampert has indeed been a pain in my ass.
