Reworked Fakemon: Torkoal-Pottery
Typing: Fire / Ground
Abilities: White Smoke / Water Compaction / Oblivious
Stats: 70/65/140/95/70/30 (470 BST)

New Moves (if any): Scald, Flip Turn, Wish
Removed Moves (if any): Ancient Power, Stone Edge, Superpower

Role: Physical Wall, Special Sweeper (Shell Smash)
Flavour: Based primarily on clay ovens and ancient cooking pots. Idk I'm lazy, can't be fucked to add anything else lol
Description: A beefy physical wall that can tank a shit ton of the current meta's (ie. slate 1's) attacks. It has an excellent support movepool, featuring Yawn, Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin, and Lava Plume/Scald/Scorching Sands, giving it a great deal of role compression. Very much dislikes the amount of Water-types and Water-type coverage in the tier, but is overwise a neat defensive tank. Shell Smash also exists if that's what you're into ig

Hello once again. Submissions are now closed, and this time we didn't got any vetoes. Due to this, we'll be opening votes. The voting rules are simple:

  • Each Pokémon will be voted for separately.
  • There is no limit on the amount of submissions you can vote for. First Place will count for 3 points, Second Place for 2, and all others will count for 1 point.
  • Self Votes may not be First Place, and have a limit of 6 points total.
The voting will last for about 5 days, so you can think well about what you will vote.

Also, in the Paleomons Discord server we will be opening submissions for the next slate theme, so if you have any idea, post it in Suggestions channel, and maybe it might be the winning idea.

And that's it! Good luck to everyone :)

RAINKOAL
Typing:

Abilities: Drizzle / Swift Swim / Leatherback
Stats: 70 / 85 / 70 / 85 / 140 / 20
New Moves: Discharge, Flip Turn, Hydro Pump, Liquidation, Scald, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Water Gun, Wild Charge
Removed Moves: All Fire-type moves
Custom Elements: Leatherback: Absorbs Electric moves to boost Special Defense one stage.

Role & Description: RAINKOAL. Based loosely on Archelon. In the past, Torkoal were incredibly large, and extremely slow outside of the oceans in which they lived. Only the few that adapted to life on land managed to survive, as the others were simply too large for the shrinking seaways and too easy pickings with their leather shells.
Torkoal-Ancient is an amazingly slow, but also amazingly bulky rain setter, which pairs amazingly well with the tier's main rain abuser, Armaldo (Armaldo resists Ground and Grass, while Torkoal resists Flying and Fire). It can also abuse its own weather with STAB Weather Ball and 100% accurate Thunder, though unfortunately its offensive stats are a bit low for the role. Who knows, maybe Shell Smash sets will see use? Its defense and special defense have been swapped, allowing it to take special hits like a champ and heal off the damage with Leftovers, and on non-rain teams it can even boost its special defense thanks to Leatherback, though Drizzle is most likely the optimal ability. Additionally, with a pivoting option in Flip Turn, it becomes even better at enabling rain abusers, as it can slow pivot for them to come in safely.

Soul Energy Stocks
Typing:

Abilities: Cursed Body / Rock Head / Permian
Stats: 55 / 100 / 130 / 90 / 45 / 65
New Moves: Hex, Phantom Force, Shadow Ball, Trick Room
Removed Moves: N/A
Custom Elements: Permian: The user's moves with a charge turn charge immediately (Power Herb effect)

Role & Description: Even in the time of the dinosaurs, Relicanth was already, well, a relic. Immediately following the Permian Extinction, Relicanth began to channel the spirits of those who perished, converting them into raw energy to fuel its moves. Of course, they ran out of spirits eventually, and by the modern day, they had forgotten how to entirely.
Rock/Ghost is a very interesting offensive typing, even more so when some of the strongest moves of each type (Phantom Force and Meteor Beam) are affected by Permian. Relicanth-Ancient is a very powerful mixed attacker, with physical sets being slightly weaker, though Phantom Force in tandem with one-turn Skull Bash is pretty fun. Special sets are where it shines though, with one-turn Meteor Beam being an insanely powerful move, especially when backed with as powerful a secondary STAB as Ghost is. Of course, this needs some balancing, and so it suffers from some rather poor special bulk as well as speed. Can also pull off a mean OTR set, with its naturally low speed allowing it to absolutely bully anything that can't take a Meteor Beam, as it just gets harder and harder to stop. Real ones run Rock Polish double dance.

we in the tar pits now
Typing:

Abilities: Oblivious / Poison Touch / Oozing Tar
Stats: 110 / 110 / 80 / 70 / 80 / 80
New Moves: Acid Spray, Acid Armor, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Tar Pit, Tar Shot
Removed Moves: All Ground moves
Custom Elements: Oozing Tar: Sets Tar Pit on entry (field effect, airborne mons and mons holding HDB are immune to all effects)
Tar Pit: sets Tar Pit (can you believe it?). Same accuracy and flags as Grassy Terrain.
Acts similar to terrains. Full effect list:
Boosts the power of Poison moves by 30%
At the beginning of each turn, or immediately after being set, Powders every Pokemon on the field.
The move Acid Armor increases Defense by 3 instead of 2.

Nature Power becomes Sludge Bomb.
Secret Power uses Acid Spray's animation, and may cause poisoning.
Changes Terrain Pulse's type to Poison, and doubles its base power.
Camouflage causes the user to become Poison type, and Mimicry changes the user into a Poison type.

Role & Description: In the distant past, many Mamoswine fell victim to the pull of tar pits and perished. However, some adapted to the environment in these pits and survived, becoming absolutely coated in tar, and flinging it to capture any Pokemon that approached the pits.
Mamoswine-Ancient is a pretty crazy mon, thanks to its custom ability, Oozing Tar. This sets what is essentially Poison Terrain, allowing its Gunk Shot to do pretty ridiculous damage, and also protecting it from opposing Fire attacks (though unfortunately, most Fire types run HDB, so this only really protects it from a few mons). While this certainly boosts it a lot, it no longer has Earthquake for Steel types, and so it has to use the greatly inferior Superpower. It is also fairly slow, so it isn't too difficult to outspeed and threaten with an offensive mon that can hit it super-effectively (of which there are many). Should still be a potent offensive mon and bulky wallbreaker.

Removed Moves: Ice Moves.
Description: Being banished from cold seas by Kabutops, Relicanth-Ancient had to go back to the hottest parts of the ocean, with in the way there, all its head turned into stone, but the rest of its body was protected by a magic bubble to keep itself cold, while adapting to the temperature.

Torkoal-Ancient
Type: Steel/Water
Abilities: Storm Drain / Filter (H: Shell Armor)
Stats: 70 / 60 / 150 / 105 / 70 / 15 (BST: 470)

New Moves: Heavy Slam, Iron Head, Metal Burst, Aqua Jet, Flip Turn, Razor Shell, Waterfall, Hydro Pump, Surf, Water Pulse, Water Spout, Aqua Ring, Rain Dance, Trick Room
Removed Move: All Fire-type moves, Shell Smash

Roles: TR setter, Non-passive physical wall, defensive pivot, trying to be Aero counter (no idea how good)

Flavor: Ancient Torkoal had nearly impenetrable shells and filled them with water. They used the water for various things including offense against anything potentially strong enough to even harm them. As the centuries pasted, new species where introduced that more easily preyed on torkoal. That is why it slowly lost the water and moved to a climate that they liked better.
:ss/Torkoal:
Typing:

Abilities: Comatose/Water Absorb
Stats: 70/65/130/105/80/20 (470)

New Moves: Scald, Aqua Ring, Pain Split, Hydro Pump, Water Gun, Bubble, Life Dew, Surf
Removed Moves: All fire moves except for sunny day, Solar Beam

Role: Status Absorber, Wall and utility Pokemon
Flavor: Ancient Torkoal were a lot more dormant than the Torkoal of today and would sleep all day near subduction zones, adapting them to water and land, before evolving to their volcanic forms today.
Ancient Torkoal
Weight: 300 kg (this will be important)
Height: 2.5 Meters
Typing: Ground/Steel
Abilities: Shell Armor/ Iron Barbs/ Heavy Metal (H)
Stats: 80/100/115/60/85/20 (470 BST)
Added Moves: Spikes, High Horsepower, Iron Head, Heavy Slam, Wide Guard, Steel Beam, Flash Cannon, Steelroller
Removed Moves: All Fire Moves except Heat Crash and Sunny Day, Shell Smash

Role: Physical Wall, Hazard Setter, Hazard Cleaner, Bulky Physical Attacker...maybe?

Flavor: Based on the Giant Tortoise Meiolania, this ancient form of Torkoal were peaceful giants, living in what would later become Mt. Chimney. However, with the formation of the volcano, they had to adapt to the new conditions, becoming smaller and changing their original typing for the Fire Type

Ancient Relicanth
Weight: 650 kg
Height: 6,5 Meters
Typing: Water/Fighting
Abilities: Swift Swim/Rain Dish/Defiant
Stats: 105/105/85/45/80/50

Added Moves: Flip Turn, Aqua Jet, Superpower, Bulk Up
Removed Moves: Rock Polish, Ancient Power, Meteor Beam, Calm Mind, Harden, Stealth Rock, Sandstorm

Role: Bulky Physical Attacker, Offensive Pivot

Description: In ancient times, Relicanth was a lot bigger than what it is today. However, it was very gentle, protecting weaker and smaller pokemons from predators. However with the lowering of sea levels, Relicanth had to become smaller, and moved to deep waters, where it isolates itself.
Relicanth-Ancient

Types :

Abilities : Lighting Rod / Light Metal / Water Absorb
Stats : 90 / 90 / 100 / 75 / 75 / 55 = 485 - ( 100 / 90 / 130 / 45 / 65 / 55 = 485 (Base) )

New Moves : Flip Turn, Defog, Pain Split, Flash Cannon, Mirror Shot, Iron Head, Steel Roller, Iron Tail, Heavy Slam, Gyro Ball, Smart Strike, Autotomize, Electrify, Thunder Wave
Removed Moves : Stealth Rock, Rock Polish, Sandstorm, Rock Slide, Rock Blast, Head Smash, Rock Tomb, Smack Down, Meteor Beam, Calm Mind

Role : Physical wall, Defensive pivot, Defoger
Justification : Relicanth-Ancient has good statistics in accordance with its role. The loss of SR is offset by the access to Defog. Flip Turn allows him to pivot, often after the opponent due to his low speed. Finally Recover allows him to have a good staying power.
Flavour : I wanted to make this regional shape a reminder of the rostrum (Coelacanths have an electroreceptor organ, called the rostrum at the front of the skull = Lighting Rod) that Coelacanthes have. This regional form also has more robust scales (Steel type).
:rs/torkoal:
Pokémon: Torkoal-Ancient
Typing: Rock / Ground
Abilities: Solid Rock / Shell Armor | HA: Rock Head
Stats: 70 HP / 95 Atk / 150 Def / 65 SpA / 70 SpD / 20 Spe
Weight: 700 kg

New Moves: Meteor Beam, Rock Throw, Smack Down, Double-Edge, Head Smash
Removed Moves: All Fire type moves sans Flare Blitz, Heat Crash and Flame Wheel

Role: Physical Tank, Shell Smash Breaker

Flavor: Torkoal-Ancient is inspired by the Colossochelys, a massive land dwelling Tortoise that mostly fed on grasses and other plants. Its main idea is that of the proto-engine. Regular Torkoal feed on coal and live near coal mines, and are quite adapted to this. Ancient Torkoal however has only recently developed the means to use coal as a means to supplement its daily energy, and therefore has subpar flame manipulation itself.

New Moves: Poltergiest, Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray, Astonish, Dark Pulse, Strength Sap
Removed Moves: All Rock type moves sans Head Smash and Stealth Rock

Role: Physical Tank

Flavor: Even in Ancient times, Relicanth seemed... old. It seemed liked it longed for a different era. It swam the deep seas alone, never spotted with others of its own kind, making it seem like only one exist.
relicanth with these mods can perform similarly to how it goes in low tiers, but now has to look out for faltering to Pursuits or Knock Offs, which is a fair trade for the new tools it now possesses.

Weight: 179.7 kg

New Moves: Piloswine-Ancient + Power Trip, Obstruct
Removed Moves: Same as Piloswine-Ancient

Role: Physical Wallbreaker

Flavor: I thought about how to make Mamoswine be more ancient, so I decided to base Mamoswine-Ancient on classic "Hell Pigs"; giant Apex predator pig-like creatures that roamed Earth prior to the Ice Age. With powerful jaws, Ancient mamoswine stalked the plains, either waiting for the smell of food or simply hunting itself. Its jaws are strong enough to crush a boulder.

Mamoswine-Ancient uses its great speed tier and powerful Strong Jaw Crunch to punch holes into teams.

A-Relicanth
Typing: Water/Flying
Abilities: Swift Swim / Thick Skin / Water Absorb
Stats: 100 / 90 / 75 / 45 / 105 / 70 (Def and Sp. Def swapped, -25 Sp. Def, +15 Spe, +10 Def)

New Moves: Rapid Charge, Air Slash, Dual Wingbeat, Defog, Gust, Wing Attack, Peck, Synthesis
Removed Moves: All Rock moves
Thick Skin: This Pokemon's Defense is multiplied by 1.1x.

Rapid Charge:
- Type: Water
- Classification: Physical
- Power: 100
- Accuracy: 100
- PP: 16 (Max 24)
- Effect: Increases Sp. Def by 1 turn 1. Hits turn 2.

Flavor: Ancient Relicanth is based off of the Plesiosaurus. Ancient Relicanth once had long necks that helped them breathe without having to be underwater. They had also developed a herbivore-like personality at the time. Ancient Relicanth were also companions with the Pelipper nearby. However, when evolution struck, Relicanth lost their long necks and had to reside in the underwater depths.

Role: A-Relicanth is a Special Wall, with recovery in Synthesis. It has the ability to increase its Sp. Def more using Rapid Charge, and it can increase its Def by a tiny but if Thick Skin, or run Water Absorb. It's pretty unfortunate that it has to use HDB because of its typing, but it can be cool if played right. This also loses to Aerodactyl I think.
To clarify some things, Moretto has my permission to use my Tar Shot hazard idea and Beaf has given me permission to use their Oozing Tar idea.

Sets Tar Pit lol
Removed Moves: Fire Spin, Flame Charge, Flame Wheel, Iron Defense, Superpower

Role: Fire/Poison is a strong defensive type as it is immune to being burned or poisoned and boasts a plethora of resistances. This combined with immense physical bulk, reliable healing in Shore Up, and access to Water Absorb allows Torkoal to check and wall many potential offensive threats. Notably, Torkoal's immunity to Water allows it to wall Omastar while checking Kabutops and Armaldo (be wary of Kabu running Rock coverage and Armaldo running Rock or Ground coverage). Fire/Poison also offers great neutral coverage, and Torkoal can easily spread status using Lava Plume and Sludge Bomb.

Torkoal also provides utility in Stealth Rock, Toxic, Yawn, and its signature hazard Oil Slick; which bolsters the damage of Fire-type attacks against the opponent. While Oozing Tar seems like a promising ability for Torkoal, bolstering Poison-type attacks and punishing the opponent for using Fire-type attacks, Oozing Tar also punishes Torkoal for using Lava Plume and prevents it from checking/walling Water types, a detrimental and inferior ability for it.
"Oil deposits were much more common in the past. It is for this reason that Ancient Torkoal subsisted on and burned oil for energy."
"Ancient Torkoal took dips in tar pits, filling its hollow shell with oil. Its shell would often collect the bones of Pokémon who perished in the tar."

Role: While Normal/Ice is a horrendous type defensively, is average offensively and is weak to hazards; Mamo can abuse its unique combination of No Guard STAB Mega Kick to deal massive damage to anything that doesn't resist it. No Guard also grants it a 100% accurate Icicle Crash as well. The addition of SD also turns Mamo into a terrifying sweeper. Otherwise, Mamo works more or less the same. Mamo can wallbreak with a Life Orb or a Choice Band (Boots if longevity is preferred over damage), and can suicide lead with Stealth Rock and Endeavor. Suicide lead Mamo should run Oblivious for immunity to Taunt and Double Edge to take itself out.

Flavor: Back in the day, coal was mainly found in wetlands due to favorable conditions. Torkoal's inability to enter the waters at risk of it's flame being put out made it hard, so they would end up developing their mind to use telekinesis and dig out coal for their consumption.

Hence, the Relicanth-Ancient were left to fend on their own, soon dying out due to being mainly prey than predator.

And last, but not least, Beaf Cultist won with Mamoswine!

Now, we'll be opening a discussion phase for about 24 hours, and we will open Voting for the next slate theme in the Paleomons Discord server, so make sure you vote for the one you liked the most. See you all :)

Despite being weak to the tier's current wallbreakers and being slower than molasses, the role compression this brings is pretty nutty. Hazards, hazard removal, Wish pass, phazing, burning, and being a general defensive pivot. Oblivious is a huge boon on this mon, Taunt begone.

HELL FISH. Water Bubble is so cool on a Rock/Fire type; Ground and Rock types should think twice before switching-into this thing. Water Bubble feels balanced on a Fire type oddly enough since the burn immunity is redundant. Its Speed has nearly doubled which is wild, can definitely see this thing running Specs and going ham with Hydro. Also 8x resistance to Fire is very funny.

Honestly, Ice/Poison's not an amazing type. S'got a lot of resistances but those are outnumbered by its weaknesses and its STABs don't really synergize. Weakness to Stealth Rock and loss of EQ is a little disappointing as well. Oozing Tar does compensate a bit however, doing numbers with Gunk Shot even with lowered Atk and being able to deny Fire type attacks is very nice. I'm not too certain how well this'll do actually, even if I love the concept behind it.

Not gonna lie, this slate was one i was most excited for, and here it is! Now, you'll be creating fakemons based in the creatures chosen for this slate. But, instead of just being a flavor slate, with these we can also make the meta more balanced, filling roles that ate still open with the current subs. The submission rules are simple:

Pokémon: ???

Typing: ???
Abilities: ???
Stats: ???

Relevant Moves:???

Role: ???

Flavor(if you want to): ???

Submissions will be open for about 1 week, in case you have any questions you can ask me in my DM, and if you would want any submission feedback, you can ask in the submission-feedback channel in Paleomons Discord server. And i think that's it, see you all later :)

Custom: Sedimentation: Raises users Def and Spa by 1, and heals the user for 1/8 for 3 turns.
Role: Set Up Sweeper, Wall, Utility
Flavor: Eotreven’s “Spine” is the best appendage that any living thing could wish for, it acted as a net, fan, air filter, shield AND sword, while regenerating by itself, catching the sediments in the wind, and adhering it to itself with compression. That was, of course, when it was damaged, because even seeing it barely bleeding was the rarest of occasions, each one of the fibers in that spine was as tough and resistant as kevlar. Truly, one of the best creations of Arceus.

Role: Wallbreaker

Flavor (if you want to): Dimetrodoll has a massive sail on it's back that it uses for two main purposes - to generate energy from the sun and to find mates. It is known to be able to crush stone with it's intimidating jaws, and these physical stunts are deemed attractive by mates.

Stats: 75 / 65 / 110 / 90 / 70 / 55
Relevant Moves: Belch, Defog, Heat Wave, Hurricane, Recycle, Roost, Sludge Bomb, Toxic
Binge Eating: This Pokemon consumes its berry on switch-in. Leftovers restore 12.5%.
Role: Physical Wall, Hazard Removal (Defog), Berry Mon

Flavor(if you want to): A cooked bird. Lol! Ate so much turkey last Thanksgiving that it got permanently sick. Great physical wall, and checks some of the tier's physical threats like Armaldo and Kabutops. Also can do some funny berry mon stuff, but tbh this works best with Leftovers.

Dimetree
Types:

Abilities: Chlorophyll / Shed Skin | Harvest
Stats: 85 / 110 / 110 / 50 / 65 / 75
Relevant Moves: Bask, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Leaf Blade, Outrage, Rock Slide, Solar Blade, Swords Dance, Synthesis
Bask: Raises the user's Attack and Defense one stage, and changes the weather to Sun. Fails in Sun. | Dragon, Status, 10 PP, Mirror, Protect, Snatch
Role: Setup Sweeper (Swords Dance), Physical Wallbreaker, Weather Abuser (Sun)

Flavor(if you want to): Tastes like pine. G-Luke took my Solar Power idea so this is my back-up. Dimetrodon's sail was thought to absorb sunlight (though there's a good chance it didn't), so I took that and ran with it. Looks like a mixture of a dimetrodon and an evergreen.

the rest will come

Dodrumb
"Dodo" + "doldrum" + dumb"
Pronounced: "doh-druhm"
Typing:
normal.gif
psychic.gif

Abilities:
Unaware / Own Tempo | Simple
Stats: 94 HP / 74 Atk / 104 Def / 74 SpA / 54 SpD / 64 Spe / 464 BST

Defining Moves: Body Press, Calm Mind, Defog, Future Sight, Hyper Voice, Psychic, Psyshock, Roost, Shadow Ball, Teleport, Thunder Wave, Toxic

Suboptimal Moves: Aerial Ace, Brave Bird, Curse, Defense Curl, Dig, Dream Eater, Expanding Force, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Light Screen, Psych Up, Reflect, Stored Power

Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute

Role: Fat. Normal is a surprisingly good type in this mod rn, and Dodrumb uses its current lack of weaknesses and its great physical bulk to wall offensive threats. Unaware lets it check setup sweepers, which is almost all of the mod's attackers atm.

It can act as a defensive pivot using Teleport while providing hazard removal with Defog and wearing down the opponent with Future Sight. Body Press actually deals more damage than its STABs when all three are neutral and offers great coverage. It can also act as a wincon with CM. TWave and Toxic help annoy the opposition.

Simple can be used for CM shenanigans but it has an overall worse MU against setup.

Low special bulk and passiveness without CM or Body Press are its weak points.

Shout outs to Clastia for suggesting Defense Curl, funny early-game move showing some work.
"Its brain is smaller than a Nutpea berry. It would wander off cliffs or blunder right into a predator's jaws if it wasn't guided by its latent psychic powers."
"The antenna on its head flashes when its psychic powers activate. It doesn't understand what's happening when its powers fire off."

Blossobite
"Blossom" + "Bite"
Pronounced: "Blaws-soh-beyt"
Typing:
grass.gif
electric.gif

Abilities:
Chlorophyll / Lightning Rod | Underbrush Tactics
This Pokemon's Dark-type moves become Grass-type moves. This overrides Ion Deluge and Electrify.

(Unlike-ate abilities, this does not provide a power boost to the affected moves.)
Stats: 81 HP / 113 Atk / 100 Def / 70 SpA / 60 SpD / 71 Spe / 495 BST

Defining Moves: Knock Off, Pursuit, Stealth Rock, Sucker Punch, Superpower, Swords Dance, Synthesis, Thunder Wave, Wild Charge

Suboptimal Moves: Crunch, Electro Ball, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Giga Impact, Growth, Jaw Lock, Light Screen, Rising Surge, Screech, Seed Bomb, Skitter Smack, Snarl, Solar Beam, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Fang, Zap Cannon

Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute

Role: Trapping Water, Ground, and Rock-types. Blossobite stands out as an Electric-type that can handily beat Ground and Rock-types (except Torkoal). Moves affected by Underbrush Tactics are its main strength; as it has access to Grass-type Knock Off, Sucker Punch, and Pursuit.

Blossobite can specifically OHKO Kabu with Knock Off or, if Kabu tries to switch, Pursuit. Sucker Punch is a strong revenge-killing tool against Water-types. SD turns Blossobite into a fearsome sweeper that deals massive damage with Knock and cleans with Sucker. Stealth Rock is also a nice utility option, while Synthesis can be used on bulkier sets.

Can also act as a sun sweeper but this is a niche set with less useful attacking options.

However, its mediocre Speed leaves it reliant on Sucker against faster threats, which can sway the tide of battle depending on the outcome. Its poor SpD leaves it prey to special attackers, while Synthesis' small PP is not favorable for bulkier sets. 4MSS is also an issue.

Torkoal walls non-SD sets and can heal off damage with Wishtect. Mamo can eat a UT-Knock Off or Sucker and OHKO with Icicle Crash or Gunk Shot if Mamo is Adamant. Timid Relicanth OHKOs with Flamethrower without needing Specs or LO. Even AV Blossobite (maybe unviable to begin with?) will likely be OHKOd by Fire Blast.
"Using the leafy sail on its back, it takes in the sun's rays and produces electricity to energize itself. The sail’s veins have a similar structure to plant xylem."
"It sunbathes for most of the day, only moving to eat and drink. Despite usually lazing about, it can rush with a sudden burst of speed to catch prey unawares."

art coming soon! genuinely have no idea how to make this one interesting
Volterrid
"Volt" + "terror" + "eurypterid"
Pronounced: "voll-tehr-rihd"

Abilities:
Neutralizing Gas | Hydration
Stats: 75 HP / 97 Atk / 130 Def / 70 SpA / 50 SpD / 83 Spe / 505 BST

Defining Moves: Aqua Jet, First Impression, Flip Turn, Leech Life, Liquidation, Scald, Spikes, Thunder Wave, Wild Charge

Suboptimal Moves: Bug Bite, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Fly, Giga Impact, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Light Screen, Rising Surge, Screech, Skitter Smack, Surf, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, X-Scissor, Zap Cannon

Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute

Role: I've brought the monster known as Ancient Aerodactyl into this pet mod, so let me try to fix that.

This beats Aero. Hard. Volterrid's massive physical bulk allows it to switch into offensive threats such as Aero or Kabu and threaten them with its hard-hitting STAB attacks. Neutralizing Gas deprives Aero of Sheer Force, lessening Aero's power to make it easier to check. NeutGas also turns Kabu's Poison Heal back into normal toxic when it's on the field.

Volt's main sets are Band, Scarf, and Defense-invested tank with Lefties. Band acts as a powerful wallbreaker, Scarf is a revenge-killer that outpaces Aero, while bulkier sets can eat physical hits and still do decent damage.

83 Speed means Adamant Scarf Volt outpaces Jolly Aero. Jolly Scarf also OHKOs with Liquidation. 75/130 physical bulk means Volt gets 3HKOd by Adamant Aero's Rock Slide without investment.

Volt's biggest con is its abysmal special bulk, even resisted special attacks can 2HKO it. Weakness to Ground is unfortunate as well, as Volt is easily 2HKOd by an EQ coming from Aero or Armaldo. Lack of recovery is very unfortunate as well, since Volt can get worn down quickly and is unable to consistently switch-in to attacks. Cradily can eat any hit from Volt (only Adamant Band deals meaningful damage) and Cradily nearly OHKOs Volt with Giga Drain. Relicanth also ouspeeds and threatens Volt with its Water Bubble Hydros (Specs Canth 2HKOs any Volt set despite the resist), though Specs Canth should watch out for Scarf Volt.

252 Atk Lanturn Liquidation vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Aerodactyl: 302-356 (100.3 - 118.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Aerodactyl Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lanturn: 121-144 (41.5 - 49.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Aerodactyl Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Lanturn: 91-109 (25.7 - 30.7%) -- 2.6% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb Aerodactyl Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Lanturn: 161-192 (45.4 - 54.2%) -- 4.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Lanturn Leech Life vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cradily: 168-198 (44.9 - 52.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Water Bubble Relicanth Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Lanturn: 232-273 (63.9 - 75.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Water Bubble Relicanth Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 4 SpD Lanturn: 154-182 (42.4 - 50.1%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO
"From its stinger, it can discharge 1200 volts of electricity into its prey. Pores along its abdomen release a cloud-like poison that acts as a powerful condutor."
"It was originally thought to be the direct ancestor of Drapion and a relative of Kabutops, but it's now classified within its own distinct group."

Flavour: A brave but stupid creature, Rowdo would often pick fights with Pokemon much stronger than it. Sometimes multiple at once. As it runs it generates static electricity in its long, fluffy down feathers, which it then uses to shock opponents during fights
Description: A strong Special attacker, offensive pivot and hazard remover. Its Speed allows it to outspeed a lot of threats such as Kabutops and Mamoswine, most of whom it can also hit super effectively. Rowdo kinda cannot damage Grass-types at all (no Hidden Power!), which can be patched up with Aerilate, at the cost of its more consistent ability No Guard giving it perfect accuracy STAB moves. It also suffers from a pitiful SpDef, which can be circumvented by just, y'know, moving faster than your opponent

Flavor: Tastes like an alligator, with a bit of steel in it i think. Dimeterdon disguises itself as comfy beaches to trap Omanyte for food when it shapeshifts into the huge beast it is. Though, the thing it didn't realize is that it isn't able to reach the Omanyte, and neither consume the Omanyte, so they just keep letting venom out on Dimeter's body, and that venom reacts very weirdly to its skin, making it get very viscous and "gooey", so that's where the second abilitie comes.

105/72/112 bulk with Filter is something a bit concerning, we recommend lowering it.

Heyyyyyy, since all the vetos were corrected, lets jump into votes!
The voting rules are simple, and are as follows:
  • Each Pokémon will be voted for separately.
  • There is no limit on the amount of submissions you can vote for. First Place will count for 3 points, Second Place for 2, and all others will count for 1 point.
  • Self Votes may not be First Place, and have a limit of 6 points total.
Will also do a sub compilation cause thats helpful i think.

Dodrumb
"Dodo" + "doldrum" + dumb"
Pronounced: "doh-druhm"
Typing: View attachment 401690 View attachment 401691

Pronounced: "Blaws-soh-beyt"
Typing: View attachment 401845 View attachment 401751

Role: Special Wallbreaker/Sweeper, Offensive Pivot, Funny idiot bird (much like the user posting this)
Flavour: A brave but stupid creature, Rowdo would often pick fights with Pokemon much stronger than it.
