I think it's certainly a possibility; twin's contributions today have been super good so i'm actually inclined to believe he's town (that along with the fact that my case for him being scum is admittedly very weak)
I'm thinking that borath is the scum with someone (no idea who, a lot of possibilities lol) as his partner. Should borath be lynched and flip town, that clears gale imo.

The texas flip I originally thought looked really bad on twin but borath revealed that he thought texas was townie (by association with me) but then didnt vote to save him (and apparently contradicted himself based on what he said at eod?? not sure because I didnt read it very carefully), so id say it honestly looks worst on him.
It looks bad on Hawkie as well in the sense that it sets up a high possibility of a hawkie/twin scumteam (hawkie's reasoning for suddenly not wanting to lynch twin was incredibly weak)

The first one makes sense as of yesterday, but he was doing it the previous day when Aubisio was being lynched as well. Does that make a difference to your read at all (since the behavior is consistent rather than a one-time thing) or no?
The thing with his post where he claimed scum is that it seriously doesn't make sense for scum to claim scum and then stop doing so automatically. I guess you're saying that he's went for that gambit, but I really don't know why he'd do that when a lot of people were townreading him.
The third point is valid, I dislike that as well.
The fourth one, I think gale said that he thought texas was scummy and had attempted to push a lynch on twin but failed (correct me if i'm wrong) so that's why that happened.

Can you elaborate on why texas flipping town makes twin look better? Is it because you believed that they were both scum bussing each other?


You tunneling Texas and having very little content outside of him / things related to him + possible scumteams with all non-gale players. I think you being teamed with Borath and Asek looks weaker now, but the Hawkie connection still stands (given how he saved it from going to a tie vote).

Coming into the day I thought that there were two possible scumteams: you/hawkie or asek/borath, with a slight possibility of you with asek/borath. I still think the first two are possible, but i'm not sure about the third set.

I'm pretty sure gale isn't scum reading texas anymore based on that eod

and he definitely tried to get lynches on me, you, and twin so a scumteam with all of us is highly improbable
a scumteam with hawkie is POSSIBLE, but highly unlikely (saying its possible because he backed of off hawkie to go onto twin near eod)

Gale voted borath briefly but never followed up much on it iirc
 
Here is my first post on Walrein. Read from here to see out interactions. Walrein to me gave off a scum trying to buddy me vibe. I feel like here, he knew I would eventually push hard enough to get him lynched as scum, so he was pushing other theories onto me and trying to divert me away from talking directly about him, which in turn would push the general discussion away from him. Walreins posts about the dentricos / Texas narrative were also dangerous to me. I think this was setup for a lot of the distrust around texas the following days, and in hindsight reads like a scum trying to weave a way to bounce mislynches off of each other.

I also didnt see walrein interact much with OM room, which may be more than a coincidence.
 
Most of boraths big entry posts cover people who are now no longer in the game so they are relatively useless to me at this point

Borath interestingly points out he wouldnt lynch twin, texas or om room. This is despite the fact that OM room has posted next to nothing by this point at all, let alone anything to actually garner any kind of read off them. The links between Walrein + Borath and OM room + Gale just keep growing for me.

A trend im noticing with borath is he doesnt engage very deeply with other players. He prefers the quote and issue questions kind of game. Very rarely do the questions get thrown to borath and he responds promptly.

I've stopped reading thread through at page 50. Another thing to note about borath is that he hasnt engaged or talked about me really at all except for saying 'I wouldnt lynch hawkie or asek ever' 2 days ago, and his post today saying hes open to lynching me. This may leave me with relatively less than an impression than what you guys may have.

That being said... my intutition is now telling me this is a 1 man scum team game. I'm thinking right now its just gale. Theres no scum aside from him. I feel like this fits the paranoia theme better - we'd keep lynching (and eventually lose) after catching the first one, looking for a scum that wasnt even there. It just... fits.
 
Chuckled heartily at attempts to see if I was active on MU today. For the sake of it, I'll let you know that I did some light mod work, posted a few times in the Word Association game, finished writing some flavor in a game I'm hosting, and had a brief argument about the importance of certain characters in the Dark Souls franchise.

That about sums up my activity there today. Technically yesterday but I still haven't slept yet so for all intents and purposes it was today.

As an aside I always knew posing as a skeleton would lead to some comedy eventually. If you ever feel the need to know something about me again or whatever (I doubt it, but whatever) my MU username is lute.

I'm going to be up front with you all. I've lost my fire. It was basically a dim candle to begin with, but nothing remains but embers now. Can't really muster the will to give it my best, haven't been able to for some time. I'd like to make a promise that I'll clutch things out and win it for us with flawless play but I'm not in the habit of making promises I can't keep. Basically, what I'm trying to say, is that I'm a lazy sod. Not making excuses, but rather clearing the air.

I thought it would be kind of ironic to post a wall here but halfway through reiterating my old opinions I sorta gave up. If it was easier to ISO people maybe I woulda gone through with it. If it was easier to remember who subbed for who and all that crap I might be up for it. Maybe when I wake up I'll have something. I'd better, since it might be my only post before I go to work and miss EoD.

God. I will say this much, either you've all played well or I've played poorly, because you'd think with so few avenues to pursue making choices would be easier.

Also not sure if it's pure coincidence or that what I said just happened to line up with asek's change of opinion but as soon as I mentioned an asek/borath scumteam asek switched from thinking "borath is lock town but I need to look back and see" to "borath is a very likely scum" (or at least that's what it seems to me)

He mentioned that he needs to go back and look at borath before you said asek+borath was possible then afterwards he said borath is a lot worse but that post about gale being the only scum strengthens the case for asek+borath imo
