Resource Pet Mods Workshop Thread

Pet Mod Name: Petmod crossovers
Pet Mod Concept: Sub Pokemon from different petmods into a new isolated meta for them to roam free in!
Explanation: There's 2 options. Either...
1) each slate is a different petmod, where people just vote on who from the petmod should join
2) each slate is themed (ex. Using underutilized abilities) where people sub Pokemon they think fit the theme and then vote on it
Miscellaneous: fangames and romhacks don't count as petmods
Questions: which option is better and why do you think that? Is there an intrinsic flaw with this idea? Should solomods count for this?

This already exists with Super Smash Mods. These only tend to happen near the tail end of a generation's lifespan.

EDIT: I forgot we did SSMBrawl already

So I have come up with an idea that I am not sure if it is clever or stupid. Admittedly, that describes most of my ideas.

Step 1) create a list of all of the words used to make Pokemon names (i.e. Char + Salamander = Charmander). This would take an extensive search on Bulbapedia but could probably be thrown together. This is because of a whole other tangent where I want to know what words are used the most (Dinosaur is probably common, but Arctic comes up a lot with Ice types, etc).

Step 2) Create the following Pet Mod

Word Salad

Every slate, I generate a random group of 10-12 words from the list mentioned above. Users then get to combine them into 4-5 fakemons by combining the words to make new Pokemon names.

I feel like there is some strange potential here. A number of words used a lot for Pokemon names do not have to strictly be tied to a certain type. For example, the word "Bulb" is used in both Bulbasaur and Tadbulb.

No idea if it would be worth throwing the sheet together, but the meta concept seemed kind of fun after where my mind went on the Step 1 idea.
