After playing Pokemon Showdown for a while, I've finally created a OU team that suits me pretty well. If you can take a look at it and help me upgrade it, I will be really grateful :)
First Pokemon - Physical Sweeper/Wallbreaker
Blademaster (Gallade) @ Galladite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt
- Ice Punch
- Shadow Sneak
To me, Gallade is my favourite pokemon and a great OHKOer. Mega Gallade was chosen because of its monstrous base attack and decent speed. Adamant Mega Gallade OHKOs almost everything that doesn't resist its STAB Close Combat, especially walls. Ice Punch is important for pokemon like Gliscor, Landorus and Dragonite while Shadow Sneak serves as the finishing move for pokemon that didn't get OHKOed.
Second Pokemon - Physical Sweeper
Bravest Bird (Talonflame) @ Life Orb
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Roost
As you can see, this is the typical Talonflame set in OU. Priority Brave Bird is really something awesome, that's why I chose Talonflame. Talonflame is the only pokemon in this team that counters fighting types, which my team is very weak to. I chose Life Orb instead of Choice Band because Talonflame getting choice locked is very bad IMO. U-turn for momentum, Roost for recoil.
Third Pokemon - Revenge Killer/Wallbreaker
STABmaster (Crawdaunt) @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
- Crabhammer
- Swords Dance
My team is lacking a revenge killer and a water type, so I chose Adaptability Crawdaunt. Aqua Jet having 80 base power due to Adaptability with life orb boost destroys weakened foe. Knock Off and Crabhammer for slower foes, Swords Dance for predicting switches boosting Aqua Jet to sky high damage.
Fourth Pokemon - Wall/Cleric
Umbrella (Umbreon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Foul Play
- Wish
- Heal Bell
- Screech
Since I have many physical pokemon, my team is going to yield easily to burns. So I decided to have a Wall/Cleric to heal them. Whenever a pokemon on my team is statused, Umbreon will come and heal the wounds. Having Foul Play to deal damage and screech to boost damage, basically a dumbed down version of SwagPlay. Mostly, people will switch in other walls to deal with Umbreon, but no worries, Synchronize counters Toxic and such. Big weakness - Fighting types.
Fifth Pokemon - Special Sweeper/Steel Killer
Magnet Man (Magnezone) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch
With so many physical pokemon on my team, I gotta have a special pokemon, and that's Magnezone. Having Choice Scarf causes it to outspeed lots o foes, surprising the enemy. But as soon as Magnezone moves, the opponent will know about its Choice Scarf. Also, Magnet Pull traps steel pokemon so Magnezone can easily wreck it with HP-Fire.
Sixth Pokemon - Rapid Spinner/Revenge Killer
Big Phan (Donphan) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
Nothing to stop entry hazards? Bring Donphan. I though about Cryogonal, but Donphan was better at tanking and dishing out damage. Where's the harm in having a few revenge killers, right? Knock Off can cripple some pokemon that rely heavily on their held items. Sturdy and Assault Vest helps Donphan live longer, who wouldn't want that?
I will really appreciate it if you could help me improve this team.
Thank You for taking your time to read this :) Much luv
