Squawkabilly is an avian Pokémon that resembles a parrot. The main color of its plumage comes in, from most to least common, green, blue, yellow, and off-white [...]
...and yet weirdly for some reason PoGo chose to make the yellow one the most common and the blue and green the regionals. Rather than swapping yellow and green as you might expect. How odd. I suppose because the blue and green are noted to be rivals?
Still, I live in green territory and work in blue territory so no complaints here.
Type Null/Silvally are still a big question mark. They feel right at home in a season research but they stopped doing those....guess it could be something they put in a Pass though? Maybe they could do a thing where it's in the lead up to it? Necrozma and friends are definitely going to get the lion share of attention so may as well have the UB Killer. Real question is how they want to handle Silvally's type changing since it'd probably be a dry run for Arceus years down the line. Can see them just skipping, though.
Yeah it'd be hilarious if they just... didn't bother with any of the typed versions and all we ever got was the normal version. I wouldn't mind that too much honestly.
These two still might end up being a season-long research though... I don't know that those have been phased out? Last one was Keldeo in December 2025 and before that Kubfu in March 2025 so a gap of a year feels reasonable, there aren't too many species suited to season-long researches so I don't expect them constantly. Ogerpon might end up being another eventually, not sure what else there is.
Ideally they shove a Poipole re-release somewhere in here. A pass, a research, something that preferably isn't paid. I never evolved into naganadel before transferring to Home, you see, so filling that spot would be nice....
Can see this being an additional paid research or something but yeah why can't this just be in raids, please
Also please just have Salandit out in the wild. Please. Do not just put it in eggs or like a one-off research task. Salazzle is so obnoxious.
This
The "headliner" for the Tour I assume will be like Kalos tour: new megas. Crabominable, Golisopod, Drampa. Mega Zeraora could be here but we're also getting the shiny masterwork and we;re blitzing through it in record time because of that lol. So I think they just save that for later. How did Mega Diancie debut work again, you got the energy out of like Carbink raids and tasks instead? They really have to get over this one-off Mythic business especially when they have a handful of mythics you can raid for anyway....
Yeah you could get 1 Mega Diancie energy for catching Carbink and 10 for doing a Carbink raid. Pretty lame.
Feels like such poor planning not to have Zeraora be a raidable species for when its mega drops. Early on there seemed to be a distinction between "cute" mythicals and "fighter" mythicals: Darkrai, Deoxys, Genesect, and eventually Hoopa in the latter camp, and Zeraora obviously seemed like it should join them... but they made it a Go Fest mythical. I suppose that was done so they'd have an Alola shiny mythic to release. Otherwise you've got... Magearna's ordinary and original forms...? Bit underwhelming.
Also the raids for this tour are going to be a nightmare between the box art trio and the UBs and the Tapu and thew new Megas. Kaos Tour 2.0.
Possibly they have UBs during the leadup week, then the Tapus and Solgaleo/Lunala one day and possibly Necrozma the next...? Something like that. Depends if they do end up introducing Ultra Necrozma after all, maybe it's handled like Eternatus where you can only fight it and accrue energy. There'd probably be some limitation like you can only have one Necrozma Ultra-d at once or something.
Galar tour 2028 should be on track to finish out everyone, actually. We've been going through the regular mons at a steady clip and none of the remaining 15 are super outlandish to hold off on. There's also Basculegion but I think they wouldn't bother putting it or the other Hisui mons here; they were all shoved into Sinnoh tour. The only legends we're missing are Calyrex & the horses and that's easy Go Fest fodder.
Yep, my bet is Calyrex (actually maybe that's a season-long Pokemon too?) and the horses (so you fight the fused form, then the horse "escapes" and you catch that?) for next year's Go Fest. God knows what the mythical they introduce is here but I think for Galar Tour we get shiny Eternatus masterwork research instead of Zarude.
I mean who even cares about Zarude at this point. I would not be surprised if Galar Tour outright ignores it.
Would think Galar Tour will probably end up being G-Max focused rather than raid focused: just the hero forms of the dogs in raids and then probably every single released G-Max in rotation. And in Mega Raids... are there even any Galar Pokemon with mega evolutions? Oh yeah, Falinks.
GMaxes will probably be the big new thing. Plenty to pull from but G-Max Melmetal in particular feels ripe for showing up here, since I don't think the line will even be at the Alola tour. Wonder if they'd let you catch it? The line is already "regularly" catchable after all. The Urshifus also seem like a great pull if they want it (maybe they save that for a Wild Area, though).
I was convinced G-Max Melmetal would be part of this year's Go Fest: it's the Go species and where better for that than the 10th anniversary event? Weird it's been left out like that. Mind you I also thought that G-Max Pikachu would be a natural fit for this Go Fest too but they shot their bolt on that already.
Paldea tour 2029 is 3 years to get through all its Pokemon. There's only 13 regular Pokemon left I think it's not even worth looking at. The legendaries, however. I do not understand why they are dragging their feet on this so much. Even with their drip feed there's NONE OF THEM. Paradoxes have to start this year or we're never getting through them. You'd think they would be all about putting out all these legends and such just for raid purposes but no! Genuine chance that we're missing a huge chunk of Pokemon for this tour unless they just start blasting.
Pecharunt's shiny situation is also rough. 2028 may not even have a new game, much less one to shove a Home update for, assuming it would even have Pecharunt in it.
Agree with all this. It feels bizarre we haven't had Koraidon or Miraidon in raids at this point.
Plenty of time to give Pecharunt (or even Terapagos) a shiny release before 2029 though, we're good.
I wonder if Champions will, in some way, provide an avenue for shiny mythics. Like participate in such & such competition and get access to it; then Home cross references the accounts next time you synch up and goes "alrighty, here's your Shiny [Whatever] gift". It'd certainly expedite this process. Shiny legends too, for that matter; we've got a laundry list of THOSE building up.
Yeah definitely think this'll happen. Ironic that Victini has been locked all this time because hey there's a natural choice! You won xxyy competition, for your victory have a Victini, the victory Pokemon. Kubfu too, it's a fight-y Pokemon. I could see the Loyal Three being released this way as well.
