Continue. I believe what I'm aiming for, after some thinking, is something that is based on chess, but is its own game in itself. The 'spirit of chess' is something I will stay by, but:

a) Knights may well be able to barge into battle, but their spaces they can engage with is very limited. Also, I don't to nerf the pieces too much, which brings me to my next point:

b) The engagement zones are soemthing that makes Pokechess Pokechess. To essentially remove them would take away from this new game as it is, imo.

Keep in mind, I might reinstate these if examples show that they can be a problem.

The second round starts off in a slightly more interesting way then the first one, with the Raticate following the example of its fallen comrade by preparing to Endure whatever hit may occur! Meanwhile, its scarfed(?) foe sings a lullaby to put Ratigan to sleep! A few notes were off-key, but it still rests for an action. The Cinccino then intoxicates the rat with several poisons. That's gotta be a fitful slumber. It then slaps the rat with its tail, but it Endures the hit, wakes up, and...

Well, Terrador, I asked for an example to prove me wrong, and you did. This hotfix will not apply to this match, but is here for my convenience.

Knights may not move and engage on the same turn.

Remember: The Knights in this game are still the OP jerks that they are.

Frollo will not move to the position the enemy knight previously occupied. It instead needs to move to a much safer place.

I suppose I should make a ruling, just to dispel any possible dissent.

Castling is allowed. Furthermore, a player may castle if neither the involved king nor the involved rook have moved from their starting positions. Engagements do not count as movement where castling is concerned.
