Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 In-Game Tier List (Reboot)

Hey, you lovely people. I played Black and White 2 for the first time last month and I liked it. I want to play it some more with different Pokes, so I thought I might as well do some playtesting for this thread since ranking is still going on.

I used the following team for a Black 2 run:
  • Snivy (Starter)
  • Lillipup (caught in Floccesy Ranch)
  • Dwebble (caught in Desert Resort)
  • Skarmory (caught on Reversal Mountain)
  • Jellicent (caught in Undella Bay (static encounter on Monday))
  • Absol (caught on Route 13)

Here are my logs for them:
Gym 1 Cheren: level 12/13, Snivy outspeeds both Patrat and Lillipup, Patrat is only 4HKOed by Vine Whip, 2 Leers and 2 Vine Whips were used instead to avoid the Potion, it likely knocks Snivy into Oran Berry range, Lillipup is 3HKOed by Vine Whip after 1 Leer, and its boosted Tackles do a lot of damage, a Potion might be needed, Performance: D-tier

Gym 2 Roxie:
level 18, Servine outspeeds everything, it needs to set up 3 Growths to 2HKO Whirlipede with Return, Koffing only needs two boots and can't do much damage, Servine takes less than half from Venoshock unless its poisoned (I had a +SpDef nature, though), with a Pecha Berry equipped this fight is not too much of a problem, healing wasn't needed,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 3 Burgh:
level 24, Servine carries the Eviolite and is faster than Swadloon, 2 Growths are needed to 2HKO with Return, Dwebble is likely outsped and 2HKOed by Leaf Tornado, depending how much Swadloon lowered Servine's special attack and speed, neither one is doing much damage to it, Leavanny is faster but Servine can take 3-4 Struggle Bugs without getting into red health while +2 Return 2HKOs (Sitrus Berry and Hyper Potion waste some time, though), no healing was needed,
Performance: B-tier

Colress 1:
level 24, Servine carries the Eviolite, 2 Growths are needed to 2HKO Magnemite and Klink with Leaf Tornado, Thunder Wave from Magnemite and Charge from Klink can cause problems, they also deal decent damage to Servine, it is possible to win the battle without healing but it is not likely,
Performance: E-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 30/31, Servine carries the Eviolite, it can easily set up 2-3 Growths on Emogla who does very little damage with Pursuit, Zebstrika is 2HKOed by Leaf Tornado at +2/+3 and its Flame Charge doesn't do too much (which it strangely doesn't go for much), Flaaffy is OHKOed by Leaf Tornado at +2, Servine is faster than Emolga and Flaaffy but it is likely getting paralysed, Performance: B-tier

Gym 5 Clay: level 33, Servine carries the Eviolite, Servine is faster than Krokorrok and can set up 1 Growth to then OHKO it and Sandslash with Leaf Blade and Leaf Tornado, Excadrill is faster but 3HKOed with +1 Leaf Tornado or Leaf Blade through Sitrus Berry, Metal Claw does a lot though, 1 Hyper Potion could be needed, Servine is slower than all three if it gets hit by Bulldoze once,
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 3:
level 34, Servine carries the Eviolite, Servine outspeeds everything, Pignite and Tranquill are 2HKOed by Return and Simipour is OHKOed by Leaf Blade, Pignite and Tranquill don't really go for their super-effective moves for some reason, but Servine can take one strong one,
Performance: A-tier

Cheren 2:
level 34, Servine carries the Eviolite, Servine outspeeds everything, at +1 Leaf Blade 2HKOs Stoutland and OHKOs Cinccinio and Watchog, Stoutland can't do much damage,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 2:
level 34, Servine carries the Eviolite, Servine is faster than Magneton but it will get a Thunder Wave off, after 1 Growth Leaf Blade is 2HKOing Magneton and Klink and OHKOing Elgyem, due to it status things can certainly go wrong though,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Serperior outspeeds everything but gets absolutely destroyed, Swoobat's Acrobatics is doing over half, Serperior can only 2HKO it with Return with Rocky Helmet chip, Swanna also 2HKOs Serperior with Air Slash while Leaf Blade is only doing half with Miracle Seed, Skarmory completely walls Serperior, horrible matchup,
Performance: E/F-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41/42, Serperior outspeeds everything, after 1 Coil Return 2HKOs Unfezant, Aerial Ace 2HKOs Emboar and Leaf Blade OHKOs Simipour, Unfezant's Air Slash does almost half, however it also likes to use Detect, so its possible to get a free turn for Coil, Leftovers also helped here, Emboar doesn't really go for Heat Crash and as such does almost no damage,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 43, Serperior outspeeds everything except Sneasel, the first turn is best spent using Coil which makes Golbat's Acrobatics hurt less (but it still does half), +1 Leaf Blade OHKOs Cryogonal and Sneasel while Emboar hopefully takes down Golbat and Garbodor, Serperior is weak to everything her though, so there is a chance it gets knocked out, but the fight is not as bad as you would think,
Performance: B/C-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 47/48, Serperior outspeeds everything and wants to set up 4 Coils to OHKO Druddigion and Haxorus with Silk Scarf boosted Return and Flygon with Leaf Blade, the problem is Druddigon is likely to Dragon Tail out Serperior after some boosts ending its sweep attempt, +3 is also not enough for Flygon and Haxorus who will also Dragon Tail it out, Serperior still does fine with less boosts but it sucks, I guess you could also box all other team members for this battle so Serperior can't get phazed out, in which case the battle becomes a very easy A-tier sweep, but I guess we probably don't do that right, overall Serperior is just too inconsistent here,
Performance: C-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48, Serperior outspeeds the two Cryogonals and OHKOs them with Leaf Blade, Weavile is faster but Serperior can take two Ice Shards from full and 2HKO it with Leaf Blade, straightforward sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 50, Serperior outspeeds everything (even Carracosta after a Shell Smash), Return into Leaf Blade kills Carracosta, Wailord and Jellicent are OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Leaf Blade, super easy sweep, Serperior isn't threatened by anything,
Performance: S-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 51, Serperior outspeeds everything, Leaf Blade OHKOs both Cryogonal and also Weavile if Serperior is in Overgrow range, its best to focus on the Ice types while Emboar takes care of the other Pokemon, Serperior can take 1 Ice Shard and 1 Steamroller from full, but if things go out of order it could be that 1 Hyper Potion is needed,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52, Serperior outspeeds everything, the two Cryogonal are OHKOed by Leaf Blade, Weavile is 2HKOed and Serperior can barely take a Night Slash + Ice Shard or 2 Ice Shards from full health, consistent and easy sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Colress 3:
level 52/53, Serperior outspeeds everything, it needs 5 Coil boosts to 2HKO all of Colress' Steel types, setting up on Magneton is somewhat safe, Flash Cannon is only a 3HKO (4HKO with Leftovers), but due to the length of the setup the chance for Magneton to get a Special Defense drop or Critical Hit is high, X Sp. Def can help, once Serperior reaches +5 and 2HKOed both Magneton and Magnezone nothing can stop its sweep afterwards, Klinklang and Metang get 2HKOed by Leaf Blade without being able to do anything meaningful in return, Beheeyem gets OHKOed, Serperior needs around 4 Full Restores for this fight, it can sweep this fight but the support is big and it can just get haxed,
Performance: C-tier

Ghetsis:
level 52/53/54, Serperior outspeeds everything, it wants to set up 5 Coils to OHKO everything, at +5 Leaf Blade OHKOs Cof*grigus, Seismitoad and Eelektross while Return OHKOs Drapion, Toxicroak and Hydreigon, the setup on Cof*grigus is decently safe as it wastes its turn a lot with Toxic and Protect, though if Shadow Ball gets a Special Defense drop it now 2HKOs Serperior so you would need a X Sp. Defense for that, otherwise if no major hax happens Serperior can sweep with just 1-2 Full Restores, Leftovers are also very useful here, overall pretty good,
Performance: A-tier

Hugh 5:
level 58/59, Serperior outspeeds everything, its need +4 to OHKO everything, +4 knocks out Unfezant with Return, Simipour and Bouffalant with Leaf Blade (it never has Sap Sipper, Bulbapedia is just wrong on this) and Emboar with Aerial Ace, Serperior is kind of reliant on Unfezant using Swagger but granted it often does instead of just U-Turning out to Bouffalant, setting up 2 Coil and then healing the confusion with an item is all it needs, overall the battle was most often an easy sweep but it does have some RNG associated with it,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58/59, Serperior outspeeds everything, it really needs to set up all the way to +6 with Coil to get the OHKOs on Drifblim and Chandelure with Leaf Blade (and Chandelure is still a roll, so it needs the Miracle Seed too), setting up on Cof*grigus is somewhat safe as it needs two Special Defense drops for Shadow Ball to 2HKO Serperior, but given how many turns of setup Serperior needs there is a real chance to just get haxed, at least Serperior can sweep this battle but it certainly isn't efficient, Performance: C-tier

Elite Four Marshal: level 58, Serperior outspeeds everything but Throh lowers its speed by 2+ stages so it actually moves second against everything else, Serperior can pretty reliably set up Coils and sweep with 1 or 2 healing items, +1 Leaf Blade 2HKOs Throh, +2 Leaf Blade gets the OHKO on Mienshao and 3HKOs Conkeldurr at +1, Sawk gets 2HKOed, not too much risk in this fight unless you get crit, Throh's Storm Throw is not really a threat,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58, Serperior outspeeds everything, it can very safely set up Coils on Liepard because well it is a Liepard, the only thing it can really do is be annoying with Attract if you have a male Serperior, +4 Leaf Blade OHKOs Scrafty and Krookodile and 2HKOs Bisharp (3HKO through Sitrus Berry), overall very safe and consistent sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58, Serperior outspeeds everything, Taunt totally imobilizes Musharna and allows Serperior to set up endlessly with Coil, it needs +5 to OHKO everything, super easy and consistent sweep, not even healing is needed, but the setup does take a while,
Performance: S/A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Serperior outspeeds everything, Hydreigon and Druddigon are the most dangerous Pokemon because their Flamethrowers are a roll for a 2HKO, Druddigon also has Dragon Tail to phaze Serperior out, it needs to set up Coils to sweep, Leftovers are a must to get out of 2HKO range from Flamethrower, 2 Full Restores are needed to get past Hydreigon and Druddigon with +2 Return to 2HKO them, once you get that far its a mostly safe sweep, Lapras and Archeops are OHKOed by +2 Leaf Blade, Haxorus is 2HKOed by Return and Serperior can take a +1 X-Scissor with the Coil boosts, Serperior needs to use another Coil against Aggron to 2HKO it with +3 Leaf Blade but Aggron can't really do anything against boosted Serperior, once you get past the dodgy start, it is an easy sweep, but things certainly can go wrong at the beginning,
Performance: B-tier

Overall battle performance: B-tier
Gym 1 Cheren: level 12, Patrat gets outsped and 3HKOed, Bite can cause some flinches, Patrat is not doing much in return, Cheren's Lillipup is slower and gets 2HKOed by Tackle after 1 Leer, Lillipup doesn't need more healing than its equiped Oran Berry if even that,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 2 Roxie:
level 18, Herdier outspeeds everything and after 1 Work Up its just 2HKOs Koffing and Whirlipede while they do barely any damage in return, super easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 3 Burgh:
level 24, Herdier carries the Eviolite, Herdier outspeeds Swadloon and Dwebble but Leavanny is faster (Dwebble too at -1), Herdier can easily set up 3 Work Ups on Swadloon and then OHKO Swadloon and Leavanny with Return and 2HKO Dwebble, healing is not needed outside of a a Razor Leaf crit from Leavanny,
Performance: B-tier

Colress 1:
level 25, Herdier outspeeds both Pokemon and 2HKOs easily with Rock Smash, only 1 Parlyz Heal was needed after Magnemite's turn 1 Thunder Wave, Herdier barely got damaged, rather easy fight,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 30/31, Herdier carries the Eviolite, Emolga is faster and Volt Switches out to Flaaffy who is OHKOed after 1 Work Up, Emolga Volt Switches again to Zebstrika who is OHKOed by +1 Dig and never gets a move off unless Herdier gets paralysed, finally Emolga is also getting OHKOed by Return, Herdier does receive decent damage and likely status during this fight but doesn't require healing,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Stoutland is faster than Krokorok and after 1 Work Up to offset the Intimidate Return OHKOs it, Torment can be annoying for the remaining battle, it is better to use 2 Work Ups against Krokorok though, as Sandslash is barely not 2HKOed by neutral Return, Sandslash can be annoying with defense drops from Crush Claw, Excadrill is faster than Stoutland but +1 Expert Belt boosted Dig OHKOs it and its doesn't deal too much damage back, so it likely doesn't need any healing during this battle, Stoutland is outspeed by everything at -1 if its hit by Bulldoze,
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 3:
level 33, Stoutland outspeeds and OHKOs Pignite and Tranquill with Dig and Return, Simipour is faster and Return is a roll to OHKO, the only thing that can go wrong is Scald burning Stoutland, but it would still sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Cheren 2:
level 33, Stoutland outspeeds all three Pokemon and at +1 OHKOs them all with Return, super easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 2:
level 33, Stoutland outspeeds all three Pokemon and OHKOs them, if Magneton is Sturdy it can get a Thunder Wave off, but Stoutland can still sweep without much issue, Crunch for Elgyem and Dig for Klink,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39/40, Swoobat is faster but can't do much damage after Intimidate, Expert Belt boosted Crunch OHKOs it, similar with Swanna, it is faster than Stoutland but doesn't do much damage and gets OHKOed by Thunder Fang, Skarmory is 3HKOed by Thunder Fang, Stoutland only struggles if it got hit by Feather Dance by Swanna,
Performance: A/B-tier

Hugh 4:
level 42/43, Stoutland outspeeds and 2HKOs both Unfezant and Emboar with Return, neither one can do much damage to it, Simipour is faster but Return has a chance to OHKO it with Silk Scarf, the only real threat is a Scald burn but Stoutland would still sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 43, Cryogonal and Sneasel outspeed Stoutland but Cryogonal is OHKOed by Return and Golbat, Garbodor and Sneasel all have a chance to be OHKOed by Silk Scarf boosted Return as well, Soutland mostly sweeps but receives a bit of damage,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 47, Druddigon is slower and 2HKOed by Return, it also can't do much damage back thanks to Intimidate unless it goes for Revenge, Flygon is faster but also 2HKOed by Return, its Earth Powers do sting though, Haxorus is faster but Silk Scarf boosted Return has a chance to 2HKO through Sitrus Berry, if Stoutland gets Dragon Tailed out, it can pretty freely switch back in again, 1-2 Hyper Potions are needed for this fight though,
Performance: B/C-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48, Stoutland is slower than everything, Return does OHKO both Cryogonals but they can be annoying with Confuse Ray or Reflect, Ice Beam also stings, Weavile is 2HKOed, Stoutland can land the OHKO if it has Iron Head, 1 Hyper Beam might be needed,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 50/51, Carracosta is slower than Soutland even after 1 Shell Smash, Crunch into Dig 2HKOs after 1 Shell Smash which it is very likely to do, Wailord is slower and really likes to waste its only turn with Amnesia, even at low health, Return is a 2HKO, Jellicent is problematic, Crunch is a 2HKO but Scald and Cursed Body are big problems, 1 Hyper Potion is likely needed too, a bit inconsistent,
Performance: B-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 51, Stoutland is slower than everything except Watchog, Cryogonal can be annyoing with Confuse Ray or Reflect but otherwise they just get OHKOed by Return, Weavile is 2HKO (OHKO with Iron Head), its best to focus on the Ice types while Emboar cleans up the rest, decent enough sweep which very likely doesn't require any healing,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52, Stoutland is slower than everything, the Cryogonal can be annoying with Confuse Ray or Reflect, their Ice Beam and Weavile's Night Slash also does decent damage, Return OHKOs the Cryogonal and 2HKOs Weavile, if Stoutland has Iron Head it also OHKOs the Cryogonal through Reflect and lands the OHKO on Weavile outside Reflect, 1 Full Restore might be needed if things go south,
Performance: A/B-tier

Colress 3:
level 52/53, Stoutland outspeeds everything and no attack 2HKOs it, Magneton will always Thunder Wave Stoutland and then Volt Switch out to Magnezone which gives Stoutland the option to break their Sturdy with Crunch, Stoutland will need its first Full Restore against Magnezone and its second against Klinklang, Dig KOs Magnezone after Crunch, Crunch breaks Klinklang's Air Balloon and Expert Belt boosted Dig 2HKOs afterwards, its +1 Giga Impact does barely do half, Metang is 2HKOed by Dig and Beheeyem is 2HKOed by Crunch or Return, neither one deals half to Stoutland, lastly Magneton is KOed with Dig after Crunch broke its Sturdy at the beginning of the fight, honestly a pretty safe sweep, Soutland only needs 2-3 Full Restores,
Performance: A-tier

Ghetsis:
level 52/53/54, Stoutland outspeeds Cof*grigus, Seismitoad, Toxicroak and Eelektross, Stoutland is slower than Drapion and Hydreigon, everything gets 2HKOed, Cruch for Cof*grigus and Return for everything else, only Toxicroak's Brick Break and Hydreigon's Dragon Rush deal more than half to Stoutland, with a few healing items Stoutland can sweep here,
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Stoutland outspeeds everything, it only really needs 1 Work Up to sweep easily, +1 Expert Belt boosted Dig OHKOs Emboar, Simipour is OHKOed by Return and Bouffalant and Unzefant are 2HKOed by Return, if Unfezant goes for Swagger then the sweep is even easier, consistent sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 57/58, Stoutland can easily set up 2 Work Ups on Cof*grigus and then just outspeeds and OHKOs everything with Crunch, Expert Belt helps with some rolls, Stoutland does maybe need 0-2 Full Restores depending if Cof*grigus and Chandelure burn it, but otherwise super easy and consistent sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 59, Stoutland needs 1 Work Up to 2HKO Throh with Return, Throh will slow down Soutland with Bulldoze and deal good damage with Storm Throw, Mienshao just outspeeds and OHKOs it with High Jump Kick, Conkeldurr and Sawk can both take 2 or more hits before going down and deal heavy damage in return, Stoutland just a bad time here,
Performance: E-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 59, Stoutland is slower than Liepard and Krookodile but faster than Scrafty and Bisharp, Stoutland can easily set up Work Ups on Liepard who can barely deal any damage and can only annoy with Attract if you have a male Stoutland, at +3 Stoutland OHKOs everything, Return for Liepard, Scrafty and Krookodile and Dig for Bisharp, fairly easy and consistent sweep, 1 Hyper Potion is probably needed to get out of Earthquake range from Krookodile after Liepard chipped Stoutland down,
Performance: A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 59, Stoutland outspeeds everything, after 2 Work Ups it OHKOs everything with Expert Belt boosted Crunch, setup is rather easy on Musharna but it can be annoying with Reflect in which case you have to wait for it to wear off, 1-2 Full Heals are needed agaist Yawn, pretty safe sweep but it can take a bit,
Performance: A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Stoutland is faster than Druddigion, Aggron and Lapras but slower than Hydreigon, Haxorus and Archeops, Stoutland wants to set up 3 Work Ups to comfortably sweep, Hydreigon's Dragon Pulse is not a 2HKO so Stoutland can set up to +3 with the help of 2 Hyper Potions, +3 Return then OHKOs Hydreigon and Druddigon, another Hyper Potion is needed against Haxorus to get out of range of its attack, +3 Return brings it down to its Sash, Iris uselessly heals her Haxorus to full with a Full Restore but the next +3 Return is just going to knock it out, Haxorus will never get off a +1 attack on Stoutland, Aggron is OHKOed by +3 Dig, before you knock out Aggron you have to make sure to heal back to full though as you need to be outside the range of Archeops Acrobatics, it also has Rock Slide which can flinch you, Iron Head or Wild Charge OHKOs it, overall Stoutland can decently consistently sweep but requires a lot of healing items,
Performance: B/C-tier

Overall battle performance: A/B-tier
Gym 4 Elesa: level 30, Dwebble carries the Eviolite, Emolga is faster and its Volt Switch does almost half even with Eviolite, Dwebble is faster than Flaaffy and 2HKOs with Rock Slide (Dig is not an OHKO and risks status from Static), Emolga comes in again and knocks Dwebble into red health with Volt Switch into Zebstrika, Dwebble can use this turn to Rock Polish but needs 1 Hyper Potion afterwards as Zebstrika Quick Attacks, Zebstrika is now slower (unless it used Flame Charge) and Dwebble can take 1 Volt Switch from near full, Dig does over half through Sitrus Berry, it Volt Switches to Emolga who Dwebble now outspeeds and OHKOs with Rock Slide, overall very risky battle,
Performance: D/E-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 34, Crustle is slower than Krokorok but it can't do much damage so it can set up a Rock Polish to outsped everything, Bug Bite is very close to an OHKO, Soft Sand boosted Dig is doing half to Excadrill but after a Bulldoze, it is faster again and both Metal Claw and Rock Slide deal too much damage to Crustle to win the 1v1 considering Excadrill's Sitrus Berry, Sandslash is faster than Crustle and Rollout can get out of control, meanwhile Bug Bite is only a 3HKO, overall not a great battle for Crustle,
Performance: C/D-tier

Hugh 3:
level 34, Crustle is slower than Pignite but after 1 Shell Smash it outspeeds and OHKOs everything with Dig, Bug Bite and Rock Slide, Pignite can't really do anything, super clean sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Cheren 2:
level 34, Crustle is slower than Stoutland but after 1 Shell Smash it outspeeds and OHKOs everything with Rock Slide and Bug Bite (Cheren's Stoutland can live +1 Rock Slide if it has Intimidate), Crustle isn't threatened by anything, easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 2:
level 34, Magneton is faster and is quite a threat with potential status, a hard hitting Mirror Shot and potentially having Sturdy, in theory Crustle can take one Mirror Shot and then Shell Smash to sweep Colress' entire team with Dig and Bug Bite, but Magneton can certainly ruin this,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Swoobat is faster but can't do much damage, Crustle outspeeds everything after 1 Shell Smash, Swoobat and Swanna are OHKOed by +2 Rock Slide and Skarmory is 2HKOed, Steel Wing does a lot of damage but Crustle still doesn't need any healing, the entire battle only takes 5 turns, rather consistent sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41, after 1 Shell Smash Crustle outspeeds and OHKOs everything, Rock Slide for Unfezant, X-Scissor for Simipour and Dig for Emboar, the only things that can go wrong is if Unfezant flinches Crustle multiple times as its tries to set up or if it uses Taunt to prevent Shell Smash which wastes some turns, overall very easy sweep though,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 43, Crustle outspeeds everything except Sneasel after 1 Shell Smash, Rock Slide then OHKOs Cryogonal and Golbat, Sneasel is also OHKOed and Garbodor is also OHKOed with Hard Stone (or Emboar cleans up), easy sweep in just 3 turns but if Sneasel goes for Punishment, then it can deal big damage to Crustle after Shell Smash, not enough to knock it though, Shell Smashing twice gets around that but risks damage from Ice Beam,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 47, Crustle is faster than Druddigon and can set up 2 Shell Smashes on it without getting knocked out, it never went for Dragon Tail in my testing, at +4 Crustle outspeeds and OHKOs everything with X-Scissor, decently consistent sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 47, Crustle outspeeds both Cryogonals after 1 Shell Smash, Weavile is faster however, Ice Beam does half and Cryogonal can set up a Reflect, however +2 X-Scissor still OHKOs all three Pokemon after 1 Shell Smash, equipping a Sitrus Berry might be good as Ice Beam + Night Slash come very close to knocking out Crustle,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 50, Crustle is faster than Carracosta but because of Sturdy and Scald it has no good setup oppertunity, neutral Scald is nearly an OHKO, Wailord and Jellicent are also faster and heavily threatening with Scald, if Crustle could get off a Shell Smash then it could at least take out Wailord and Jellicent, but sadly it just is a horrible matchup,
Performance: F-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 51/52, Crustle is slower than everything but after 1 Shell Smash it outspeeds everything except Weavile, Cryogonal can be annoying with Confuse Ray or Reflect, once Crustle is set up it just gets two kill two Pokemon each turn for 3 turns with Rock Slide (better equip the Wide Lens), Ice Beam + Night Slash does actually come very close to knocking it out so you might want to play it safe with a Hyper Potion,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52, Crustle is slower than everything but after 1 Shell Smash it outspeeds and OHKOs everything with X-Scissor (even through Relect!), if you want to be super safe you can equip Crustle with a Persim Berry against Confuse Ray, this is a super safe and easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 3:
level 52, Crustle is slower than Magneton who just OHKOs it with Flash Cannon from full, Magnezone is also faster and KOs it, both also have Sturdy so Crustle can't set up, Klinklang is on an Air Ballon that Crustle needs to break, both Klinklang and Metang need +2 to be OHKOed by Dig but their Steel Attacks are too strong for Crustle, Beheeyem is the only Pokemon Crustle can outspeed and OHKO with X-Scissor, overall just a horrible matchup for Crustle,
Performance: E/F-tier

Ghetsis:
level 52/53/54, Crustle can get a safe Shell Smash off on Cof*grigus as it will always Toxic and Protect on the first two turns, that means it can Shell Smash turn 1 and heal the poison with a Full Heal on turn 2, +2 Expert Belt boosted Shadow Claw OHKOs Cof*grigus, Crustle then outspeeds and OHKOs everything, Seismitoad and Hydreigon are OHKOed by X-Scissor, Drapion and Toxicroak are OHKOed by Dig, only Eelektross is barely able to live a +2 X-Scissor, but it can't do enough back and is then KOed, rather safe sweep with barely any item support, Leftovers are nice to have,
Performance: S-tier

Hugh 5:
level 58, Crustle outspeeds everything after 1 Shell Smash, it can easily set up on Unfezant, at +2 X-Scissor OHKOs Simipour and 2HKOs Bouffalant (Megahorn doesn't OHKO after Shell Smash), Emboar is OHKOed by +2 Dig and Unfezant is OHKOed by +2 Rock Slide, very safe and consistent sweep, if Unzefant goes for Swagger turn 1 then Bouffalant is also OHKOed, the confusion can be easily healed with an equipped Persim Berry or Full Heal,
Performance: S-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Crustle is trying to setup a Shell Smash to sweep but sadly +2 Expert Belt boosted Shadow Claw is still only a roll to OHKO Cof*grigus (and I even had a +Attack nature), the rest of her team gets outsped and OHKOed by Shadow Claw but setting up against Cof*agrigus is kind of difficult as Crustle can't take Shadow Ball into Shadow Ball after Shell Smash, the most consistent strategy I came up with was to equip a Rawst Berry and Shadow Claw on turn 1, if it tries to burn you, you have a free turn next turn to Shell Smash (Crustle can take 1 Shadow Ball at -1 and Aftermath later from full), if it Shadow Balls instead then you have to heal until it wastes its turn to your Berry, sadly much less consistent due to an unfortunate roll, still likely to sweep though and it could also just set up on Golruk instead,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Crustle needs +4 to OHKO Throh and Conkeldurr, luckily it can set up two Shell Smashes on Throh as Crustle can take a Rock Tomb at -1 into Rock Tomb at -2 without fainting, +4 Aerial Ace then OHKOs Throh and Conkeldurr, then Sawk's Sturdy sadly stops Crustle's sweep, Aerial Ace brings it down to 1 HP and then Sawk knocks Crustle out, you will have to bring in another Pokemon, Marshal will heal his Sawk to full HP the next turn so use your other Pokemon to break its Sturdy again, once your other Pokemon is knocked out, Crustle can come back in again and set up again, but Rock Slide is a 2HKO so it can be dicy with flinches, after a new Shell Smash Aerial Ace OHKOs the damaged Sawk, Mienshao is also outsped and OHKOed, sadly Sawk's Sturdy makes Crustle's performance worse here, but if you really wanted to you could relearn Stealth Rock and set them up on Throh to break Sawk's Sturdy,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58/59, Crustle needs 2 Shell Smashes to KO Scrafty and Bisharp, but thankfully it is very safe to set up twice on Liepard, Crustle can take Fake Out + 2 Night Slashes (one at -1 and one at -2) without even getting into red health, +4 Crustle then just outspeeds and OHKOs everything with X-Scissor, the only thing that can go wrong is Liepard being annoying with Attract in case you have a female Crustle, in that case you might need 1 Hyper Potion, otherwise clean and easy sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 59, Crustle outspeeds and OHKOs everything with X-Scissor after 1 Shell Smash, equip a Chesto Berry against Musharna's Yawn (which it will always go for on turn 1), zero risk, easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Crustle is slower than Hydreigon but outspeeds everything after 1 Shell Smash, Crustle can take Hydreigon's Surf from full and then OHKO it with X-Scissor, Lapras is OHKOed with Rock Slide, sadly Druddigon lives a +2 X-Scissor (I even had a +Attack nature) and can knock Crustle out, its only chance is to flinch Druddigion with Rock Slide or get a high hit Rock Blast if you are running that, Aggron and Acheops are both OHKOed by +2 Dig or Rock Slide, Haxorus sadly also stops the sweep unless you get a high hit Rock Blast, a full sweep is unlikely but Crustle can still knock out plenty Pokemon, if you bring it back later with a Max Revive it can even set up and sweep again,
Performance: B/C-tier

Overall battle performance: A/B-tier
Hugh 4: level 41/42, Skarmory outspeeds everything after 1 Autotomize, Rock Slide 2HKOs Unfezant who can only really be annoying with Taunt on the first turn, Emboar is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Fly, Simipour is 2HKOed by Fly but its Scald is doing a lot and the burn chance is also a real threat,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 43, Cryogonal is faster than Skarmory and its Ice Beam does a lot of damage, however after 1 Autotomize Skarmory outspeeds everything, Cryogonal and Sneasel are OHKOed by Iron Head, Golbat is 2HKOed by Rock Slide, Garbordor is 2HKOed by Iron Head, beside Cryogonal nothing can't seriously damage Skarmory, decent sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 47, Skarmory is faster than Druddigon and after 1 Autotomize it outspeeds everything, Druddigon is 3HKOed by Iron Head, Flygon is 3HKOed by Fly, Haxorus is 4HKOed, Skarmory probably gets Dragon Tailed out once or twice but it is almost invicible against Drayden, Leftovers do a lot here as well with Fly, Skarmory wins at the end but it is kind of slow,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 47, Skarmory outspeeds the two Cryogonals after 1 Autotomize, however they can be annoying with Confuse Ray or Reflect and Ice Beam is doing half, all three Pokemon are OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Iron Head,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 50, Skarmory outspeeds Carracosta even after a Shell Smash but its attacks are just to weak, Iron Head is only a 4HKO even at -1 and there is a good chance you knock it into Hyper Potion range, +2 Scald does 75%, Skarmory's chances against Carracosta are bad, Wailord is slower and likes to waste its turn with Amnesia, Sharp Beak boosted Fly 2HKOs, Jellicent is only 3HKOed (Night Slash would also not 2HKO) and Scald is a big threat, overall not a great matchup,
Performance: E-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 51, Skarmory is slower than the Cryogonals but outspeeds everything after 1 Autotomize, but before it gets this boost off Cryogonal and Liepard can be quite annoying with Confuse Ray, Reflect and Taunt, Taunt being the worst outcome since the Ice Beam from the two Cryonogal is the only move that can even touch Skarmory, the two Cryogonal are both OHKOed by Iron Head or Rock Slide (even through Reflect), Weavile is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Iron Head, its best to go after the Ice types with Skarmory while Emboar cleans up the other Pokemon with Flamethrower for a solid sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52/53, Skarmory is slower than everything but after 1 Autotomize it outspeeds everything, Iron Head OHKOs both Cryogonal even through Reflect, with Expert Belt Skarmory can also OHKO Weavile with Iron Head outside of Reflect, Ice Beam does almost half and Reflect or Confuse Ray can be annoying though, it is safer with Persim Berry even if you miss the Weavile OHKO as it can't touch Skarmory anyway,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 3:
level 52, Skarmory is walled by Magneton, Magnezone and Klinklang and just KOed by their ELectric attacks, nothing Skarmory can do against them, Skarmory will 1v1 Beheeyem and Metang eventually with some healing support, Night Slash is its best attack against them,
Performance: D-tier

Ghetsis:
level 53/54, Skarmory outspeeds everything after 1 Autotomize which it can easily set up on Cof*grigus, Thief can be used to steal its Leftovers and then easily 1v1 it afterwards, Iron Head is a 4HKO while it can't really touch Skarmory unless it gets a Special Defense drop, Seismitoad is 3HKOed by Iron Head into 2 Flys but its Muddy Water does somewhat sting, Drapion, Toxicroak and Hydreigon are all completely walled by Skarmory and easily taken care off by Iron Head and Fly, Eelektross is the only losing matchup in this fight as its Thunderbolt does too much damage, otherwise Skarmory sweeps pretty cleanly with only modest healing support,
Performance: A/B-tier

Hugh 5:
level 58, Skarmory outspeeds everything after 1 Autotomize, Unfezant is 2HKOed by Rock Slide, Bouffalant and Simipour are 2HKOed by Fly, Emboar is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Fly, if Unfezant goes for Swagger then Skarmory can sweep much cleaner as it turns 2HKOs into OHKOs, decently consistent,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Skarmory outspeeds everything after 1 Autotomize, Cof*grigus is 3HKOed by Expert Belt boosted Night Slash while it can't do much in return besides burning it, which can be healed, sadly Chandelure is not even 2HKOed due to its Sitrus Berry while Fire Blast cleanly OHKOs Skarmory, Golurk is walled by Skarmory and 3HKOed by Night Slash, Drifblim is 2HKOed by Night Slash but Thunderbolt is doing huge damage to Skarmory and it also needs the Autotomize speed boost to be faster,
Performance: C-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58, Skarmory outspeeds everything after 1 Autotomize (even at just +1 if Throh lowers its speed), Throh is 2HKOed by Iron Head into Expert Belt boosted Fly, Mienshao can be weirdly annoying as it really likes to go for Bounce for some reason which is a problem if Skarmory is faster and tries to OHKO it with Fly, but it is not like it does real damage and eventually it will pick a different move and die, Conkeldurr is 2HKOed by Expert Belt boosted Fly too but Hammer Arm does half and Bulk up on the flying turn is a problem, Sawk is easily 1v1ed, a bit of an inconsistent sweep,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58/59, Skarmory outspeeds everything after 1 Autotomize, Expert Belt boosted X-Scissor OHKOs Liepard and Fly is a roll to OHKO Scrafty, Krookodile is also a roll for the X-Scissor 2HKO with Expert Belt at -1, Bisharp needs a lot of X-Scissor hits and needs to slowly be chipped down (for the record the battle with Rock Smash is also not faster), neither one of Grimsley's Pokemon can really touch Skarmory so it is a pretty safe sweep even if it takes a while, 1 Hyper Potion might be needed,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Skarmory outspeeds everything, Musharna has a chance to be 2HKOed by Expert Belt boosted X-Scissor but its Charge Beam is decently threatening, Gothitelle is also 2HKOed by X-Scissor (but not with the Sitrus Berry), Thunderbolt does almost OHKO Skarmory, it would need to get 2 Iron Head flinches to win the 1v1, Reuniclus is also 2HKOed by X-Scissor, Focus Blast is its only serious attack but it doesn't do too much, Sigiliyph is 2HKOed by Fly and Ice Beam doesn't do much damage, overall decent matchup outside Gothitelle,
Performance: B-tier

Champion Iris:
level 58/59, Skarmory has big problems against Hydreigon, Druddigion and Lapras as there super-effective special attacks just deal way too much damage and Skarmory takes too long to knock them out, Skarmory matches up decently well against Aggron, Archeops and Haxorus and will eventually 1v1 them with some healing support, but overall Skarmory is not that great here,
Performance: D-tier

Overall battle performance: B-tier
Hugh 4: level 41/42, Unzefant is faster but its Air Slashes don't deal too much damage and Surf is a 2HKO, Emboar is slower but sadly even with Expert Belt Surf is just barely not an OHKO, its Assurance does decent damage back, Simipour is faster but can't really touch Jellicent while Energy Ball is a 2HKO, 1 Hyper Potion could be needed,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 43/44, Jellicent is slower than everything, Cryogonal also sets up a Light Screen which drags the battle out a lot, luckily Jellicent is pretty much invincible as nothing really damages it, Toxic from Garbodor and Punishment from Sneasel do almost nothing, slow but pretty safe fight with Emboar, a Hyper Potion might be needed,
Performance: B/C-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 47, Jellicent only outspeeds Druddigon, equip a Wide Lens for this figth, Blizzard 2HKOs Druddigon and Haxorus and OHKOs Flygon, the problem is that their physical attacks just do way to much damage to Jellicent, Druddigon's Crunch does over half and Flygon's Crunch and Haxorus' Dragon Tail are also 2HKOs, even with healing support this matchup is just not good,
Performance: D/E-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 47, Jellicent gets outsped by everything, while the two Cryogonal can't really touch Jellicent, they can still be quite annoying with Confuse Ray and Light Screen, Surf is only a 4HKO, Weavile's Night Slash is also doing 80%, just a rather bad matchup,
Performance: D/E-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 50, Jellicent outspeeds everything (even Carracostat after a Shell Smash), Carracosta usually goes for Shell Smash which means Shadow Ball into Energy Ball kills it, Wailord is easily 2HKOed by Energy Ball while it doesn't really do anything to Jellicent, Marlon's Jellicent is not 2HKOed by Shadow Ball due to its Sitrus Berry while its Ominous Wind 2HKOs your Jellicent, even if you also equip a Sitrus Berry your 1v1 chances are not great because it can also outheal Shadow Ball with Recover,
Performance: B-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 51, Jellicent is slower than everything, it can't really touch the Cryogonal so its best to focus on the Grunt's Pokemon, Liepard and Watchog are OHKOed by Water Plate boosted Scald, Cryogonal can be annoying with Light Screen and Confuse Ray, and Liepard does half with Night Slash, Weavile's Night Slash does 85%, Jellicent can help with some Pokemon but it has to rely on its partner a lot,
Performance: C-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52, Jellicent is slower than everything, its best chance to damaging the Cryogonal is a weak Return which 2HKOs them, thankfully they can't really touch Jellicent outside of Confuse Ray or Reflect which it never used, Weavile just OHKOs Jellicent from full with Night Slash though, not much Jellicent can do here, even if it sets up a Trick Room, Surf is only a 2HKO,
Performance: C-tier

Colress 3:
level 52/53, Jellicent is faster than Magneton and Magnezone, Jellicent can take 1 Volt Switch or Discharge from full, Surf into Hydro Pump 2HKOs both, for Magnezone Jellicent needs to a Max Revive to 1v1 it, Klinklang's Thunderbolt and Beheeyem's Engergy Ball are not 2HKOs so Jellicent can 1v1 them with healing support, both are 2HKOed by Surf/Hydro Pump and Shadow Ball, Metang is easily outsped and 2HKOed by Surf, not as bad of a matchup as it seems, with enough item support Jellicent can sweep,
Performance: C-tier

Ghetsis:
level 52, Jellicent is faster than Cof*grigus, Seismitoad, Eelektross and Toxicroak, this fight is not a good matchup for Jellicent, it can 2HKO Cof*grigus with Shadow Ball and OHKO Seismitoad with Energy Ball, but all the other four Pokemon hit it too hard with their STAB or coverage moves, its Ghost typing is a pretty big downside here,
Performance: D/E-tier

Hugh 5:
level 58/59, Jellicent is slower than Unzefant and Simipour but outspeeds Bouffalant and Emboar, Unfezant and Emboar are 2HKOed by Surf and can't do much damage to Jellicent, but Jellicent has to hit Will-O-Wisp against both Bouffalant and Simipour to weaken Wild Charge and Crunch which do too much damage, afterwards Surf and Energy Ball 2HKOs them, Jellicent is pretty inconsistent in this battle as it is possibly also confused which makes hittin Will-O-Wisp hard and could spell its death,
Performance: C-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58/59, Jellicent 2HKOs Cof*grigus and Golurk with Shadow Ball and Surf, but sadly Drifblim and Chandelure just outspeed and 2HKO or OHKO it with Shadow Ball, Jellicent can't even attempt Trick Room as it can't safely set it up as otherwise Cof*grigus and Golurk outspeed it and hit it hard, overall not a good matchup,
Performance: D/E-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Jellicent doesn't match up nearly as good as you would think, it is good against Mienshao and decent against Conkeldurr with Psychic, but Conkeldurr is only 3HKOed because of its Sitrus Berry and +1 Stone Edge 2HKOs Jellicent, Throh is outsped which means Payback is doing double damage and even Expert Belt boosted Psychic is only a roll to 2HKO, Sawk outspeeds Jellicent, both of them just kind of destroy Jellicent with Payback because healing items going first strengthens Payback, not even Trick Room is good enough here,
Performance: D/E-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 59, yeah no, Jellicent is simply too slow and weak to have any chance in overcomming the type matchup,
Performance: F-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 59/60, Jellicent outspeeds everything except Sigilyph, Shadow Ball 2HKOs Musharna with Expert Belt, but it always goes for Yawn first, so you will have to waste a turn before knocking it out to not fall asleep on the next Pokemon, then heal the sleep with a Full Heal, Gothitelle, Reuniclus and Sigilyph are 2HKOed as well but their attacks do a lot more damage, with healing support Jellicent can sweep, a bit too much support is needed and it also takes long,
Performance: C-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Jellicent outspeeds Lapras, Aggron and Druddigon but is slower than Hydreigon, Haxorus and Archeops, Jellicent is not 2HKOed by Hydreigon's Dragon Pulse, Lapras' Thunderbolt and Druddigion's Rock Slide (though they all come close), which means Jellicent can 1v1 them with healing support, Expert Belt boosted Ice Beam 2HKOs Hydreigon and Druddigion, Energy Ball 3HKOs Lapras and Aggron is OHKOed by Surf, Haxorus and Archeops are a problem though, both are still 2HKOed by Ice Beam or OHKOed by Surf, but Haxorus 2HKOs Jellicent after 1 Dragon Dance and Archeops' Acrobatics is a clean 2HKO, you can't really heal Jellicent on those, overall decent matchup but not great,
Performance: C-tier

Overall battle performance: C/D-tier
Zinzolin 1: level 43, Cryogonal is faster and its Ice Beam does a lot of damage but it usually goes for Light Screen, Rock Slide OHKOs it and does ~80% to Golbat who is slower, Sneasel has a chance to be OHKOed as well but even if it isn't, it doesn't do much, Garbodor is 2HKOed, setting up with Swords Dance is an option as well but risks Reflect from Cryogonal,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 47, Absol is only faster than Druddigon but there is a good chance that it acts first against Flygon and Haxorus anyway as they tend to go for Dragon Tail against it if Absol is at high enough help, with a Sitrus Berry Absol can set up two Swords Dances against Druddigon and then OHKO everything with Night Slash, if Druddigon knocks Absol too low then 1 Hyper Potion might be needed,
Performance: B/C-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48, Absol is slower than everything, Cryogonal can be annoying with Confuse Ray or Reflect while Ice Beam does a lot of damage, Night Slash OHKOs them while Weavile is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted X-Scissor, Absol likely has enough health but it could be that 1 Hyper Potion is needed,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 50/51, Absol outspeeds everything (even Carracosta after a Shell Smash), Charge Beam is Absol's best too against Carracosta, with 1 Special Attack raise it gets 2HKOed while it usually wastes its turn with Shell Smash, Wailord likes to waste its only turn with Amnesia too, +1 Charge Beam + Night Slash 2HKOs it, Jellicent is OHKOed by Night Slash, all these ranges require Expert Belt, a bit of a shaky battle as it requires Charge Beam RNG but the odds are very much in your favor,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 51/52, Absol is slower than everything except Watchog, its low speed and bulk is a real problem in this fight, Ice Beam and Steamroller both over half, Confuse Ray and Reflect can also throw a wrench into things, you just kind of have to hope that Absol doesn't get double targeted, it can get a kill or two but the chance that it just gets knocked out is now low,
Performance: E-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52, Absol is slower than everything but it can make use of Sucker Punch to OHKO the Cryogonal if they decide to attack, which they are likely to as Ice Beam 2HKOs Absol, Weavile doesn't do too much damage with Slash to Absol and Expert Belt boosted Rock Slide OHKOs it, there is a lot of RNG involved in this fight, it can either go very well with Absol sweeping without any healing, or Absol just gets destroyed by hax and Reflect, very inconsistent,
Performance: B/C-tier

Colress 3:
level 52/53/54, Absol is faster than Magneton and Magnezone and can 2HKO them with Fire Blast, Absol can take 1 Volt Switch or Discharge from full health, with 1 Full Restore it can 1v1 both, Klinklang is also 2HKOed by Fire Blast but it is faster and Gear Grind 2HKOs Absol, however its possible to bait Klinklang into Giga Impact with healing items to get free turns (+1 Giga Impact barely doesn't OHKO either), Metang is also 2HKOed by Fire Blast into Night Slash and its Meteor Mash doesn't 2HKO Absol, Beheeyem is outsped and has a chance to be OHKOed by Night Slash, Absol can sweep here with tons of healing support, but it is fairly inconsistent as it needs to hit 7 Fire Blasts (use the Wide Lens and an Either), at least it can sweep but it is kind of ugly,
Performance: C/D-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55, Absol is faster than everything except Drapion and Hydreigon, Absol can equip a Pecha Berry to be able to easily set up Swords Dances on Cof*grigus, at +2 it OHKOs everything except Drapion, but it is also not hard to set up 2 Swords Dances and Absol can take one X-Scissor from it from full health, +2 Night Slash OHKOs Cof*grigus, Seismitoad and Eelektross, Psycho Cut OHKOs Toxicroak and +4 X-Scissor OHKOs Drapion, Hyreigon is also OHKOed by X-Scissor but Dragon Rush is nearly an OHKO from full, so unless you want to gamble on the miss, it isn't worth it to stay in, Absol mostly sweeps here and is only stopped by Hydreigon,
Performance: A/B-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Absol outspeeds everything except Simipour, Absol relies heavily on Unfezant using Swagger, with a Persim Berry it can be at +4 at the end of the first turn after Swords Dance and Swagger, Unfezant is then OHKOed by +4 Night Slash, Bouffalant is sadly still only a roll to be KOed with +4 Night Slash, Emboar is outsped and OHKOed by Psycho Cut, Simipour outspeeds and does like 80% with Surf to Absol who knocks it out in return with Night Slash, if everything goes well Absol sweeps but if Unfezant just U-Turns into Bouffalant on the first turn, then Absol is in range of Simipour later and also doesn't KO Bouffalant at +2, shaky,
Performance: C-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58/59, Absol can easily set up a Sword Dance on Cof*grigus and then outspeeds and OHKOs everything with Night Slash, a potential burn can be easily cured with an equipped Berry or a Full Heal, easy and consistent sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Absol is faster than Throh and Conkeldurr but slower than Sawk and Mienshao, +2 Psycho Cut 2HKOs Throh and Conkeldurr but of course it is risky setting up in the first place, Sawk and Mienshao also just outspeed and OHKO it with their Fighting moves, Absol is not completely useless but it dies super fast,
Performance: E-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 59, Absol needs to set up all the way to +6 with 3 Swords Dances in order to get the OHKOs on Bisharp and Scrafty with X-Scissor, it can set up on Liepard decently comfortable, Scrafty and Bisharp are slower but Liepard and Krookodile are faster than Absol, so Absol has to take an Earthquake from Krookodile in order to sweep, that means Absol needs to be healed to full before taking out Liepard, giving it Leftovers is also a good idea, Liepard can be annoying with Attract while setting up if you have a male Absol, consistent sweep but it needs quite a bit of support and time,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 59, Absol outspeeds everything, it needs 1 Swords Dance to get the OHKO on Musharna and Gothitelle, with a Chesto Berry equipped it can easily set up on Musharna, in case it goes for Reflect Absol can just Swords Dance again, not much more to be said, super safe and easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59, really bad matchup for Absol as a +2 neutral Night Slash is not strong enough to get OHKOs, Hydreigon also outspeeds and cleanly 2HKOs it even through a Sitrus Berry, so Absol doesn't even have a setup oppertunity against anything, Absol struggles to even 1v1 anything,
Performance: F-tier

Overall battle performance: B/C-tier

Snivy is honestly not as bad as I was thinking it was going to be. Having high speed and a great setup move in Coil is legit good. Leaf Blade is also a decent STAB move. Having no second type and a horrible movepool is bad, though. Return is pretty much the only real coverage it has because Dragon Pulse and Aqua Tail are expensive Blue Shard tutor moves. Once Snivy gets going it can sweep most fights with Coil and item support, except for some bad type matchups. Snivy has 1 B/C-tier and 2 C-tier nominations so far, but given how it's a Starter and pretty self-sufficient, I think Snivy is a B-tier Pokemon.

Lillipup really surprised me. I mean it is a Route 1 Normal type. Those normally fall off later. But Lillipup is super consistent and pretty much the definition of reliable. Good enough speed, great attack and bulk, surprisingly deep movepool. Lillipup has pretty much no truely bad matchup except Marshal. It can always do something and often that something is actually just sweeping. Lillipup has 2 A-tier nominations so far and I wholeheartedly agree. Lillipup should be in A-tier.

Dwebble has a rough start but as soon as it evoles into Crustle (which doesn't take long) and after beating Clay you can relearn Shell Smash at the PWT. Crustle is a great user of this strong setup move and if it can successfully set up, it sweeps the battle 9/10 times. Pretty much the only matchups that are bad for it are fights where it can't set up or the opposing team has too many stops for it. Otherwise great setup sweeper that you can use as soon as the mid game. Its typing isn't the greatest offensively and defensively, though. Dwebble had 1 B-tier nomination so far and I agree. Dwebble for B-tier.

Skarmory is a defensive wall which is not great, but its offenses aren't the worst. Okay attack and speed, decent attacks and if you have to be a wall, you might as well be invincible which Skarmory really is with its broken typing. Autotomize is also a great setup move for it to fix is speed later. Iron Head is a great free STAB move from the move tutor and Fly and Rock Slide/X-Scissor/Night Slash are solid coverage moves. Skarmory offenses certainly fall off a bit in the late game and its has basically no really good matchups. It is mostly just decent in most fights. Skarmory had only 1 nomination so far but that one was for E-tier which I think is too harsh. It is an end of mid game Pokemon which does overall fine if not great. Skarmory should be in C-tier imo.

Jellicent is so much worse than I thought it was going to be. I went for the static encounter one which I suspected was going to be better. But it was still pretty bad. Ghost is a surprisingly bad typing in this game. Jellicent also has just too low offensive stats for a late game Pokemon with no setup moves except Trick Room. This thing hits like a wet noodle. And due to its typing lacking good resistances for the late game, it is not that great at taking hits either. Kind of telling that it has a bad matchup against the Fighting type specialist. Jellicent had 1 nomination each for D-, D/E- and E-tier. I also think E-tier is more fitting for Jellicent.

Absol is just a bit mediocre. It has great attack but its speed is just a bit too low for the late game and it is way too frail. It can run a good Swords Dance set but it is sometimes hard to setup or sweep because of its fraility and speed. Its movepool also has a bit of a whole as its only real coverage moves against Steel types are the expensive Blue Shard tutor move Superpower or Fire Blast which isn't ideal. It has some bad matchups because of those problems. But then again it also has two great Elite Four matchups which is certainly noteworthy. But for a late game Pokemon it just doesn't bring enough to the table. Absol has 1 D-tier nomination so far and I agree. Absol should be D-tier.

The is the second time I did a Black 2 run and the first time I tryharded the game. So if I missed something important then let me know.
I also build myself a table for team building and went through the effort of collecting all the nominations from this thread so far. Might as well share it here. Maybe you have some use for it too.

The next team I will run consists of Tepig, Magnemite, Mandibuzz, Panpour, Grumpig and Tangela. Stay tuned.

Why are Roggenrola and Timburr considered mid-game while Eevee is in the early-game category when they are obtained at the same point in the game ? Same for Yasmask (considerered mid-game and Trapinch early-game).

I considered early game to be up to the first Colress fight and initially thought those were encounters in the part of Relic Passage that was only accessible from Driftveil City like Baltoy and Volcarona. Looked it up again and of course you can get them earlier through the Castelia Sewers.

So Roggenrola, Onix, Timburr and Drilbur are also considered early game by me. I fixed the table. But Pokemon in Desert Resort and Relic Castle are only accessible after the first Colress fight, so I consider Sandshrew, Dwebble, Maractus, Sigilyph, Trapinch amd Yamask to be mid game Pokemon. But its all subjective of course, you could also make the early game cutoff at Nimbasa City and still include them. It was just a helpful division for me during team building.

Here are the logs and nominations for the next team I promised.

I used the following team for a Black 2 run:
  • Tepig (Starter)
  • Magnemite (caught in Virbank Complex)
  • Mandibuzz (caught on Route 4 (static encounter on Thursday))
  • Panpour (caught in Lostlorn Forest)
  • Grumpig (caught on Reversal Mountain)
  • Tangela (caught on Route 13)

Tepig is pretty polarizing. It has some really good matchups but also also a lot of mediocre ones, especially towards the end game. It relies on Flame Charge a lot to get its bad speed fixed for sweeps, which makes it hard to fit Work Up and the many coverage moves it wants to use at certain points along its STAB moves. Thunder Punch especially is a rather important coverage move. It is a Red Shard tutor move but still an expensive one. Hammer Arm is a strong Fighting STAB it can relearn at the PWT but it is also the only real one it has past the early game and kind of goes against the idea of Flame Charge. Heat Crash also fluctuates a lot in usefulness. Nonetheless, I think Tepig is pretty solid overall. It has 3 A-tier nominations and 2 B-tier nominations so far. A-tier for Tepig seems fitting.

Magnemite is similar to Tepig in the sense that it is great in the early game but falls off in the late game when its speed becomes more of a problem. It is a bit worse, though, as it doesn't have any way to boost its speed and the Magnezone evolution actually causes it to lose some speed. It would certainly be interesting to test a run where Magneton doesn't evolve and keeps making use of Eviolite instead. The offensive output and bulk would not change much but the additional speed could make a difference. Magnezone also really wants Magnet Rise to dodge all the Earthquakes later on. It is a Blue Shard tutor move but it only requires 2 Blue Shards which you can easily pick up in Desert Resort, so I don't think that is really a downside. Otherwise there is not much to say. Magnemite's typing is really good for the early and mid game but later its speed is its main problem. Magnemite has 3 B-tier nominations so far. I honestly could see A-tier but for now I agree with B-tier for Magnemite.

Mandibuzz was sold to me as interesting because of Weak Armor and Nasty Plot setup builds. But after I actually played with it my take is that this is the nicest possible way of saying that Mandibuzz isn't doing anything until it spends multiple turns acquiring several boosts. I knew going in that its offensive stats were low but holy moly. You wouln't belive the number of KOs and 2HKOs it misses even at +4 or +6. It is so horribly weak. It needs to set up against wild Pokemon to fight them well. Its movepool is also a disaster. Until level 41, almost 20 levels after you catch it, it is stuck with Snarl which is why its such a slog to use. Even once it finally gets Air Slash and Dark Pulse, by that point the enemy bulk also is better, so it still feels like it hits like a wet towel. Snarl and Air Slash will also make you hate 95% accurate moves. And it basically has no coverage moves. It so desperately would want Heat Wave but it requires 10 Yellow Shards which you can't even get before the post game. Its only "coverage" move is the super late Bone Rush which doesn't do anything. So any Steel type stonewalls Mandibuzz, even at +6. And the Nastly Plot set is basically the only real option for the static encounter one on Route 4. For phyiscal moves it pretty much only has Fly and Payback, the latter one having big anti-synergy with Weak Armor and no setup move. So its even weaker. The battle matrix for this thing looks a lot better than it actually was to use. I hated (HATED) using this thing. It takes forever and still does so little damage. My god, it was so frustrating. Mandibuzz has 1 A/B-tier nomination and 2 B-tier nomination so far but I honestly belive Mandibuzz should at least be C-tier, possibly even D-tier. I reread the previous nomination logs and those didn't include the Zinzolin matchups which are Mandibuzz's worst matchups by far.

Panpour has a rough start as its evolution stone is locked behind Surf, which means its evoluiton is the latest among the elemental monkeys by far. Still, Water is a good type and once it finally evolves this thing really takes off. It is solid to good for the remaining game. It has great speed and solid mixed offenses along with a great TM movepool (Acrobatics, Rock Slide, Dig, Shadow Claw, Ice Beam). Its bad bulk is sadly a lasting issue but often one Work Up boost is all it needs to sweep. It really has few bad matchups and doesn't really have any investment. It has few truely good matchups as well, though. It has 1 nominations each for B-, B/C- and C-tier so far. I lean towards the higher range and think Panpour should be in B-tier.

Grumpig confirms to me what Jellicent did last time. Late game special attackers that are weak to Dark and Ghost are just horrible. Grumpig has the same problems too. While its speed, bulk and special attack aren't horrible, without a type advantage, those stats simply aren't good enough and Grumpig just has no setup moves to make them better. It has like two matchups where it is okay and everything else it mediocre at best and horrible at worst. And despite its colorful coverage, it has nothing for Steel types which are common in the late game. Grumpig has 1 nomination for E-tier so far and I agree. E-tier for Grumpig.

Tangela is very different from the defensive role it has in competitive. A very slow pure Grass type that is very weak to special attacks does not line up well into the late game. You pretty much have to go the Chlorophyll route, which to be fair, it does do well in. Its matchups depend a lot on if it has time to set up with Sunny Day and Growth. Its coverage isn't wide but Bulldoze, Rock Slide and Rock Smash are enough. And while Power Whip seems appealing, it is a big trap imo (Cof*grigus being the best case for it). Giga Drain serves the sweeper role much better, even if it is weaker. Tangrowth really loves the gained health. It is rather slow in sweeping but if it can set up, then its often a fairly consistent sweep. Still, it asks for a lot (the expensive Sunny Day TM for example). Tangela has 1 D-tier nomination so far and that sounds fair to me. D-tier for Tangela.

The next team I will run consists of Oshawott, Magby (Trade), Roggenrola (Trade), Zorua, Woobat and Virizion.

My logs were too long for a single post lmao.
Here they are:
Gym 1 Cheren: level 13, Tepig is faster than Patrat but speed ties with Lillipup, Tepig wants to set up 1 Defense Curl to take hits better because it will have to use a bunch of setup moves, Patrat is 2HKOed by Tackle after 1 Tail Whip (Ember is also a 3HKO but risks Cheren using a Potion), Lillipup is 2HKOed by Tackle after 2 Tail Whips (Ember is also a 4HKO but worse for the same reason as with Patrat), equipping an Oran Berry is probably also required as even at +1 Defense Lillipup just can deal too much damage, overall not great, Tepig needs to use lots of setup moves and also a Berry,
Performance: C-tier

Gym 2 Roxie:
level 18, Pignite is faster than everything, Flame Charge or Ember have a small chance to 2HKO but it is likely a 3HKO on Koffing, Whirlipede is cleanly 2HKOed, its best to equip a Pecha Berry to not get blown out by Venoshock which is the only attack that can seriously damage Pignite,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 3 Burgh:
level 24, Pignite is faster than Swadloon and can set up a Defense Curl for later without issue, Flame Charge OHKOs it the next turn, Dwebble is 2HKOed with Rollout after the earlier Defense Curl without being put in Hyper Potion range (Flame Charge risks that), Leavanny is outsped at +1 and OHKOed with turn 3 Rollout, you also don't have to big brain this fight if you don't want to, simply spaming Flame Charge also easily sweeps as Pignite resists almost every move, it just takes longer,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 1:
level 25, Pignite outspeeds everything, Arm Thrust simply sweeps, 3-hit Arm Thrust OHKOs both Magnemite and Klink, and 2-hit Arm Thrust on Magnemite is even a roll to 2HKO too, so in at least 40% of cases none of Colress' Pokemon even get to act, the only thing that can be annoying is missing the OHKO on Magnemite as it will Thunder Wave you, but all it means is that you have to heal the status off (or not you sweep regardless), super easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 31, Pignite is slower than Emogla but outspeeds it after 1 Flame Charge and Zebstrika at +2, Emolga Volt Switches out to Flaaffy, Flame Charge + Heat Crash 2HKOs Flaaffy, Emolga comes back in and is OHKOed by Heat Crash, Zebstrika is only 3HKOed by Flame Charge (Heat Crash does less) through its Sitrus Berry, its Volt Switches do decent damage, the big problem with this fight is that Pignite needs to use 3 physical attacks on Static Pokemon which makes it highly likely that it gets paralysed, which puts a massive stop in its sweep attempt, Cheri Berry can be equipped to heal status once but then Pignite can't make use of the staying power of Eviolite against Zebstrika, overall not very consistent,
Performance: B/C-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Pignite outspeeds everything except Excadrill but it is slower than everything after 1 Bulldoze, Krokorok makes life harder for Pignite with Intimidate right away, Pignite can OHKO it with Arm Thrust but it needs 5 hits (or 4 hits with Expert Belt), its Bulldoze is also a 2HKO, Sandslash totally walls Pignite at -1 attack, none of its moves do enough damage and its Bulldoze also 2HKOs it, Excadrill is slightly better in that Expert Belt boosted Flame Charge 2HKOs it through Sitrus Berry, however its Bulldoze does a ton (nearly an OHKO from full), this matchup would be a lot better if it wasn't for Sandslash, Eviolite doesn't help much,
Performance: D-tier

Hugh 3:
level 33, Pignite holds the Expert Belt, Dewott and Tranquill are both outsped and OHKOed by Thunder Punch, Simisage is faster but can't do anything to Pignite, Flame Charge OHKOs it as well,
Performance: S-tier

Cheren 2:
level 33, Pignite holds the Expert Belt, Pignite outspeeds and 2HKOs Stoutland with Flame Charge into Arm Thrust (if Stoutland has Intimidate Arm Thrust needs to hit 4 times), Cinccino is outsped at +1 and OHKOed by Heat Crash (its a roll at -1), Watchog is also outsped and OHKOed by a 3-hit Arm Thrust (at -1 it is a roll), if you miss the OHKO it might be annoying with Hypnosis or Confuse Ray but overall Pignite easily sweeps without much risk,
Performance: S/A-tier

Colress 2:
level 33, Pignite holds the Expert Belt, Pignite outspeeds everything, Magneton is OHKOed by a 3-hit Arm Thrust, if you miss the third hit you maybe need a Full Heal to cure the Paralyses from Thunder Wave, Elgyem and Klink are both outsped and OHKOed by Heat Crash,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Emboar is slower than Swoobat but after 1 Flame Charge it outspeeds everything, Swoobat is 2HKOed by Flame Charge and Emboar can take 1 Acrobatics from full, Swoobat can be annoying with Attract and Heart Stamp though, Swanna is outsped and OHKOed by Thunder Punch, Skarmory is 2HKOed by Heat Crash and can't really do much back,
Performance: A-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41/42, Emboar is slower than Unfezant but it outspeeds everything after 1 Flame Charge, Unfezant's Air Slash sadly is a 2HKO and you can't really do anything against the flinch chance, 30% of the time you just lose on turn 1, Flame Charge into Heat Crash 2HKOs it, Samurott is 2HKOed by Thunder Punch but sadly its Aqua Jet is very close to being a 2HKO too, so if Emboar has taken prior damage from Unfezant then you can't get past Samurott, but if you do then Simisage is simply outsped at +1 and OHKOed by Heat Crash, Emboar can sweep this fight if Unfezant doesn't go for Air Slash turn 1, but there is a good chance the fight is just not winable,
Performance: C-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44, Emboar is slower than Cryogonal but faster than Golbat, Cryogonal is OHKOed by Flame Charge but its safer to go after Golbat first and OHKO it with Thunder Punch as its Flying moves do hurt and Cryogonal pretty much always goes for Light Screen first instead of Reflect and Samurott locks it into it with Encore, next turn Emboar can take Cryogonal out with Flame Charge and then Sneasel after that, Sneasel is still faster then Emboar at +1 but it doesn't really do much and is OHKOed, Garbodor is the most sturdy Pokemon as its not 2HKOed (at least not before Weak Armor defense drops) and can status Emboar, overall a rather safe sweep though,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Emboar is faster than Druddigon, Druddigon is 2HKOed by Hammer Arm, Flygon does a ton of damage with Earth Power but Emboar can take one if Druddigon didn't go for Revenge turn 1, a funny item to use is Metronome as it's the only item that gives Emboar a chance to OHKO Flygon with Hammer Arm on the third hit, you have to use a Hyper Potion against Haxorus since Flygon leaves it so low but Hammer Arm is an OHKO since healing items don't reset the Metronome counter for some reason and Emboar can take Haxorus' hits rather well, still this is all best case scenario and involves a lot of RNG between Druddigion not going for Revenge and hitting multiple Hammer Arms, and if you miss once its over, it is best to just use something else for Flygon and bring Emboar back in later against Haxorus and 2HKO it, really shaky matchup if you want to sweep though,
Performance: C/D-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48, Emboar is slower than Cryogonal but outspeeds everything after 1 Flame Charge, all three Pokemon are OHKOed by Flame Charge or Heat Crash, the first Cryogonal can only try to be annoying with Confuse Ray or possibly Reflect (it never used it in my testing though),
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Emboar outspeeds everything, Thunder Punch and Metronome are required to sweep here but with them its surprisingly easy and consistent, Carracosta's Scald does a ton of damage but Emboar can take one from full, you don't have to worry about Shell Smash as Emboar outspeeds Carracosta even at +2, so Emboar simply 2HKOs Carracosta with Thunder Punch and then OHKOs Wailord and Jellicent with Metronome boosted Thunder Punches, not really any risk in this fight aside from a Scald crit,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Emboar is slower than Cryogonal but after Flame Charge it outspeeds everything, it can OHKO all Pokemon with either Flame Charge or Heat Crash and nothing really threatens Emboar in any way aside from Confuse Ray or Reflect from the first Cryogonal, if Samurott doesn't miss an Aqua Tail then all 6 Pokemon go down in 3 turns,
Performance: S-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Emboar is slower than Cryogonal but outspeeds everything after 1 Flame Charge, Heat Crash and Flame Charge OHKO everything, only Confuse Ray or Reflect can be annyoing but they won't prevent the sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Emboar is faster than everyting except Klinklang initially, but at +1 it outspeeds even Klinklang and at +2 and +3 it outspeeds Metang and Klinklang even after an Agility or Shift Gear, Metronome is needed to take on Beheeyem, start by Flame Charging Magneton who paralyses Emboar and then Volt Switches out to Magnezone dealing almost half, Heat Crash Magnezone for the 2HKO and then OHKO Beheeyem with Metronome boosted Heat Crash, Metang and Klinklang are not OHKOed even by boosted Heat Crash at this point due to their high weight, hence start Flame Charging Metang and Klinklang for a 2HKO on each while outspeeding them, at least 1 Paryzl Heal and 1 Full Restore are needed, a bit sketchy but for a battle as tough as this it is not bad,
Performance: B-tier

Ghetsis:
level 53/54/55, Emboar is faster than most Pokemon but has a harsh lead matchup, Cof*grigus' Psychic is a clean 2HKO and Emboar needs 2 Work Ups to 2HKO it with Flame Charge, if you can manipulate Cof*agrigus' moves a bit with healing items and set up to +2, then Emboar does well against the rest, Seismitoad, Drapion and Eelektross are all OHKOed by +2 Hammer Arm, by Hydreigon Emboar is slower again and Dragon Rush does a lot but Hammer Arm OHKOs back, Emboar needs a Hyper Potion against Toxicroak but then 1v1 it as well, it really is only the lead that causes Emboar trouble as its not very safe to set up,
Performance: B/C-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Emboar outspeeds Bouffalant and Samurott but is slower than Unfezant and Simisage until it uses Flame Charge, Unfezant is 2HKOed by Flame Charge into Thunder Punch but it can leave a mark with either Aerial Ace which does half or Swagger, Bouffalant is OHKOed by Hammer Arm, Samurott is the end of the sweep as Thunder Punch is only a 2HKO and Surf cleanly OHKOs Emboar, Emboar does 1v1 Simisage though if you save it for that,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Emboar outspeeds Cof*agrigus and Golurk but is slower than Drifblim and Chandelure before a Flame Charge boost, just not a good matchup, Emboar does not have a good super-effective move and its STAB moves don't line up well, it also wants a lot of different TM moves like Flamethrower, Rock Slide and Scald for different Pokemon, every Pokemon also has at least one move to 2HKO Emboar,
Performance: D/E-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Emboar's speed is not that important because it will use Hammer Arm right away to 2HKO Throh after which it is slower than everything, Mienshao and Conkeldurr are very dangerous as their Fighting STAB attacks do huge damage, Mienshao is OHKOed by Heat Crash and Conkeldurr can be 2HKOed through Sitrus Berry by Flamethrower if Emboar is in Blaze range, Sawk can be 1v1ed by Flamethrower but Emboard needs multiple Hyper Potions to sweep in this fight,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58/59, Emboar is slower than Liepard but is faster than Scrafty and also outspeeds the other two Pokemon after Flame Charge, Liepard can be annoying with Attract but otherwise doesn't do much damage, Flame Charge 2HKOs it, Krookodile is OHKOed by Hammer Arm even after Intimidate, Bisharp is too, Scrafty can take 1 Hammer Arm at -1 but doesn't do too much back,
Performance: S/A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 59/60, Emboar outspeeds everything except Sigilyph until it uses Flame Charge once, Musharna is total setup fodder, Emboar can set up 3-4 Work Ups with zero risk, 1-2 Full Heals are needed, an equiped Chesto Berry also makes it easier to time it with Reflect running out if Musharna goes for that, at +3 Flame Charge into Heat Crash 2HKOs Musharna even through Reflect, the rest get outsped and OHKOed by +3 Heat Crash outside Reflect, super safe and consistent sweep but it can take a while if you have to wait out Reflect,
Performance: A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Emboar is faster than Aggron, Lapras and Druddigion but slower than Hydreigon, Haxorus and Archeops, Hydreigon is hitting Emboar very hard with Surf right away, Flame Charge into Hammer Arm KOs and makes sure Emboar still outspeeds Aggron that now comes in, Hammer Arm OHKOs it as well, Haxorus comes in and is a complete stop to Emboar who is already low and Haxorus' Earthquake is close to an OHKO from full and it has a Sash, Emboar has no way past it, use another team member for Haxorus, Emboar is later useful for Lapras who is also OHKOed by Hammer Arm, Emboar can also 1v1 Druddigon with some healing support, Hammer Arm 2HKOs it, Archeops is also 2HKOed but Emboar won't get 2 turns in, overall not a bad run,
Performance: B/C-tier

Overall battle performance: A/B-tier
Gym 2 Roxie: level 16, Magnemite outspeeds everything, Sonic Boom 2HKOs Koffing and Sonic Boom into Thunder Shock into Sonic Boom 3HKOs Whirlipede, Magnemite is also almost invincible as its immune to their Poison attacks and resists the Dark attacks, it will end the fight with green health,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 3 Burgh:
level 25, Magnemite outspeeds Swadloon but is most likely getting slowed down, it doesn't really matter that Magnemite moves second against the rest as it resist legit every move in this battle, Mirror Shot is kind of important to have for this fight as it speeds up the battle a lot, Swadloon is 2HKOed by it and Leavanny is 3HKOed through Sitrus Berry, Thunder Shock should be used on Dwebble to not get into healing range, it is also possible to sweep this battle without Mirror Shot with Leftovers or other healing support if you don't want to overlevel Magnemite, it just takes longer, but pretty much unlosable unless you miss all your Mirror Shots,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 1:
level 25, Magnemite outspeeds and also walls both Pokemon (Colress Magnemite never goes for Sonic Boom for some reason), 2 Thunder Shocks into Sonic Boom knock out Magnemite and Klink is 3HKOed by Sonic Boom without getting into Super Potion range, the only annoying thing is that Colress' Magnemite paralyses you but you can't really lose this fight,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 30/31, Magneton is slower than Emolga and Zebstrika but does outspeed Flaaffy, Emolga is 2HKOed by Thunder Shock and can't do much more than Volt Switch out to Zebstrika, Magneton needs Return to 1v1 Zebstrika in an efficient manner, Sonic Boom and Mirror Shot just don't do enough damage, Return is a 3HKO on Zebstrika and with Eviolite Magneton can take its Flame Charges well, Flaaffy is 3HKOed as well by either Mirror Shot or Return, Magneton completely walls everything except Zebstrika's Flame Charge but it has some trouble dealing damage due to its STAB combo being resisted, Metal Sound is also a way to get past Zebstrika, still not a great matchup though, a Hyper Potion and/or Parlyz Heal could be needed,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33/34, Magneton is faster than everything except Excadrill, Krokorok is OHKOed by Signal Beam, Sandslash is 2HKOed by either Mirror Shot or Signal Beam and Magneton can get one free turn with Air Ballon, Excadrill is where the sweep ends though, even if Magneton still has its Sturdy or Air Ballon intact somehow, it has no good move to hit Excadrill with and once Magneton's safety net is broken Bulldoze is a clean OHKO, it is possible to have Magnezone by this point but it doesn't do any better or worse,
Performance: B/C-tier

Hugh 3:
level 34, Magneton outspeeds everything except Simisage who can't really touch it, Dewott and Tranquill are OHKOed by Electro Ball while Simisage is OHKOed by Signal Beam,
Performance: S-tier

Cheren 2:
level 34, Magneton outspeeds everything except Cinccino, all three Pokemon are 2HKOed by Mirror Shot, Stoutland can't really do much but Watchog can be annoying with Hypnosis or Confuse Ray and Cinccino can also try to put Magneton to sleep with Sing, its Wake-Up Slap also does decent damage and can be boosted by Work Up,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 2:
level 34, Magneton outspeeds Colress' Magneton but is slower than everything after it gets Thunder Waved, an equipped Cheri Berry doesn't help much because Magneton can only 3HKO Colress' Magneton with Electro Ball, so it would just get Thunder Waved again, luckily none of his Pokemon can really touch Magneton, Elgyem is OHKOed by Signal Beam and Klink is 2HKOed by Electro Ball even when Magneton is paralysed (unless Klink goes for Charge, then it is a 3HKO), not a very risky fight but hax can get in your way,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Magnezone is slower than everything except Skarmory, nothing can really touch Magnezone though, even the Skyla's strongest attack against Magnezone, Swanna's Bubble Beam does barely anything, the only thing she can do is be annoying with Swoobat's Heart Stamp, Swoobat is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Electro Ball (or Volt Switch if Magnezone is the only Pokemon on your team, so it doesn't have to switch out), Swanna is also OHKOed by Electro Ball and Skamory is 2HKOed, pretty safe and consistent sweep, even if Magnezone goes second a lot,
Performance: S/A-tier

Hugh 4:
level 42/43, Magnezone is slower than everything but nothing can really damage it, Unfezant is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Charge Beam, Samurott is OHKOed by +1 Charge Beam and Simisage is OHKOed by Signal Beam, there is really nothing that can go wrong in this fight, very consistent and safe sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44, Magnezone is slower than everything and Cryogonal is always setting up a Light Screen turn 1, but even with the screen up Flash Cannon is still 2HKOing everything (Sneasel is an OHKO at +1 if you Charge Beam Golbat) and Magnezone completely walls this team as it resists or is immune to every attack, so it is not really possible to lose this fight but Magnezone always goes second and Hugh's Pokemon dying is not uncommon,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48/49, Magnezone outspeeds Druddigon but is slower than the other Dragons, it needs Magnet Rise to get past Flygon here which it can set up against Druddigon turn 1 who isn't too much of a threat, though boosted Revenges do sting a bit, after setting up Magnet Rise Magnezone will just spam Flash Cannon for the rest of battle which makes Metronome a great item, Druddigon is 2HKOed and Flygon has a chance to be OHKOed on the third Flash Cannon, Haxorus is a roll for an OHKO as well on the fourth hit, and while Flygon and Haxorus can't really touch levitating Magnezone, they both can end its sweep with Dragon Tail, which is a big bummer, if Magnzone is a bit higher level or has a better nature those rolls might be better, overall okay matchup though,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48, Magnezone is slower than everything, Flash Cannon is not an OHKO on the Cryogonals and they can be annoying with Confuse Ray and Screens, Magnezone resists every single move though, so its hard to lose this fight but if you are getting unlucky you might need 1 Hyper Potion, for the record Gyro Ball doesn't perform any better than Flash Cannon,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Magnezone outspeeds everything, super easy fight, you equip Metronome and then spam Discharge, that is really it, Carracosta's Scald does little damage and after being knocked down to Sturdy twice it faints, Wailord and Jellicent get OHKOed by boosted Discharge without getting a move off,
Performance: S-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 51/52, Magnezone is slower than most things but also pretty much invincible as it resists every attack, Magnezone can just spam Flash Cannon and at least 2HKO everything (even through Light Screen), a lot even get straightup OHKOed, Metronome is also a great item in this battle, its best to attack the Grunt's Pokemon first since Samurott's Aqua Tail has a good chance to OHKO the Cryogonals, overall incredibly safe and consistent sweep, even if Magnezone goes second a lot,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Magnezone is slower than everything, just spam Flash Cannon, really hard to lose this fight unless you really get unlucky with confusion, non of the Ice types can hurt Magnezone in any real way, only Confuse Ray and Light Screen are annoying, the Cryogonal are not OHKOed by Flash Cannon as well, so the fight can take longer than you would expect, still a good matchup obviously,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Magnezone outspeeds Magnezone, Beheeyem and Metang but is slower than the rest, this battle is just Discharge spam hence why Metronome is a great item here, the mirror match against Magneton and Magnezone takes the longest because neither side can hit each other hard, your Magnezone eventually comes out on top though, 1-2 Full Restores should be used, after that Metronome boosted Discharges sweep the rest of the team rather safely as Magnezone resists every move and Discharge is so strong by this point that OHKOs can happen, as far as this though battle is concerned it is actually a pretty good matchup,
Performance: A-tier

Ghetsis:
level 53/54/55, Magnezone is outspeed by everything except Cof*agrigus and Eelektross, Magnezone has big problems with its limited coverage and low speed in this fight, Seismitoad and Eelektross resist its STAB moves and Signal Beam is only a 4HKO, meanwhile Muddy Water and Flamethrower are dangerous especially if Cof*agrigus dropped its special defense, of course Magnezone also needs to set up Magnet Rise to dodge Seismitoad's and Drapion's Earthquake, but since they are faster, Magnet Rise only last 5 turns and them not being OHKOed, Magnezone can't dodge them forever, Hydreigon is the only good matchup besides Cof*grigus, not looking to good for Magnezone,
Performance: D-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57, Magnezone only outspeeds Bouffalant, eveything else is faster, Unfezant can only really be annoying with Swagger (you can equip a Persim Berry) and is OHKOed by Discharge, Magnezone can use Magnet Rise to dodge Bouffalant's Earthquake and its shrugs off its other attacks fairly well, Simisage is faster though and its Brick Break is a 3HKO on Magnezone, Signal Beam or Flash Cannon only 2HKO back, Samurott is also faster and its Surf is very close to a 2HKO, Discharge doesn't OHKOs it, multiple healing items are needed and the sweep is also kind of slow,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Magnezone outspeeds Cof*grigus and Golurk but is slower than Chandelure and Drifblim, Magnezone really matches up well against everything except Chandelure, it resists every move of Cof*grigus and Drifblim and 2HKOs or OHKOs them with Thunderbolt, Magnezone can use Magnet Rise to dodge Golurk's Earthquake and it can take its Brick Break decently well, Flash Cannon is a 2HKO, Metronome can help with some 2HKO ranges, but Chandelure is an unwinable matchups, it just outspeeds and OHKOs Magnezone with Fire Blast, nothing it can do,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58, Magnezone just has no way of overcoming the type matchup, it likely won't even take down one Pokemon,
Performance: F-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58, Magnezone is slower than everything except Scrafty but its resists most moves, it can set up a Magnet Rise for Krookodile's Earthquake and then 2HKO Liepard and Krookodile with Flash Cannon (Signal Beam is a range to OHKO on Liepard), Scrafty is a big roadblock because it is only 2HKOed and its Brick Break is doing half, you have to knock out Krookodile with enough health left to take one Brick Break but also not let Magnet Rise run out, Bisharp is easily 2HKOed by Thunderbolt while not fearing anything in return, 1-2 Hyper Potions will be needed,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58, Magnezone outspeeds Musharna and Reuniclus but is slower than Sigilyph and Gothitelle speed ties it, Musharna is really annoying with Yawn but doesn't present a threat otherwise, Magnezone will just spam Metronome boosted Signal Beams, 2 are sadly not enough to KO Musharna (Expert Belt also doesn't get the range), which means it will be healed to full which costs time, Reuniclus is OHKOed with the fifth Signal Beam though, Sigilyph is 2HKOed and Gothitelle is OHKOed or 2HKOed if it goes for Calm Mind, Reuniclus is the only threat with Focus Blast as otherwise Magnezone resist every move, pretty safe sweep but rather slow and you also have to time it to not be asleep against Reuniclus from Yawn,
Performance: A/B-tier

Champion Iris:
level 58/59, Magnezone could 2HKO Hydreigon with Signal Beam but unfortunately it is faster and its Flamethrower is also a 2HKO on Magnezone, another team member has to take this on, Magnezone is great against the next few Pokemon, Lapras is slower and 2HKOed by Thunderbolt while Magnezone doesn't really fear its Surf much, Magnezone is also faster than Aggron and can use Magnet Rise to dodge its Earthquake, Flash Cannon 2HKOs it while it cant really do anything, Magnezone also has just enough Magnet Rise turns left to 2HKO Haxorus with Metal Coat boosted Flash Cannon while it can't do much damage with its non-Earthquake attacks, Druddigon is 2HKOed by Flash Cannon and Magnezon is faster but it has to dodge 1 Focus Blast to win the 1v1, the remaining matchup against Archeops is very easy as Magnezone resists all its moves and OHKOs it with Flash Cannon,
Performance: A/B-tier

Overall battle performance: A/B-tier
Gym 4 Elesa: level 30/31, Mandibuzz is slower than Emolga and Zebstrika but does outspeed everything after a Weak Armor, Mandibuzz is barely not 2HKOed by Emolga's Volt Switch and can set up a Nasty Plot as Flaaffy comes in, +2 Snarl 2HKOs it and an equipped Cheri Berry can soak up the Thunder Wave that Flaaffy always goes for unless Mandibuzz is very low, Emolga comes back in and is also 2HKOed by +2 Snarl, Mandibuzz is at enough health to take another Volt Switch and if Emolga doesn't go for Volt Switch then it gets easier, more likely is that it Volt Switches into Zebstrika though, a +2 Snarl on the Switch brings it barely above half health, Mandibuzz has to heal with a Hyper Potion at this point, in the worst case Mandibuzz needs 2 Hyper Potions, but one is often enough and sometimes it doesn't need any, +2 Snarl into +4 Snarl 2HKOs Zebstrika, overall a sweep is actually somewhat consistent in spite of the type matchup,
Performance: C-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Mandibuzz is faster than Krokorok and Sandslash but slower than Excadrill unless it has a Weak Armor boost, it can take on Krokorok and Sandslash decently well, Mandibuzz needs to set up 2 Nasty Plots to 2HKO Krokorok with Snarl and OHKO Sandslash (other options are worse), Excadrill is a hard stop though, even +6 Snarl does absolutely nothing while Rock Slide does a ton of damage (especially after some Weak Armor defense drops), Excadrill also comes in before Sandslash after Krokorok goes down, so this matchup is surprisingly bad, there really isn't anything Mandibuzz can do to make it better,
Performance: D-tier

Hugh 3:
level 33, Mandibuzz outspeeds Dewott and Tranquill, and also Simisage after a Weak Armor boost, Mandibuzz needs 2 Nasty Plot boosts to OHKO Dewott and Tranquill with +4 Snarl (Dewott is a roll, so you could go for +6, other options are worse), Simisage is OHKOed by Fly, a bit slow but it's a safe sweep as Mandibuzz doesn't even reach orange health,
Performance: A-tier

Cheren 2:
level 33, Mandibuzz outspeeds everything, it needs to set up 2 Nasty Plots to 2HKO Stoutland with +4 Snarl, Cinccino is OHKOed, Watchog has a chance to be OHKOed by +4 Snarl as well, decently consistent sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 2:
level 33, Mandibuzz outspeeds Magneton but is Thunder Waved on turn 1, it needs 2 Nasty Plots to 2HKO Magneton with +4 Snarl, Mandibuzz can take its Thunder Shocks decently well but a Sitrus Berry also helps, Klink is also 2HKOed by +4 Snarl even through 1 Charge, Elgyem is OHKOed, Magneton is an annoying hurdle in this fight,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Mandibuzz is slower than Swoobat but outspeeds everything after 1 Weak Armor boost, Mandibuzz should go for Payback on turn 1 to OHKO Swoobat after it goes for Acrobatics and gives Mandibuzz a speed boost, it can't really set up on Swoobat anyway because of its Unaware ability and the fact that Payback is weaker after the first Weak Armor boost, Swanna doesn't do much damage to Mandibuzz but it also needs to set up 2 Nastly Plots to 2HKO Swanna with +4 Snarl, 1 Hyper Potion may be needed, the Skarmory matchup is pointless to try, even +6 Snarl is only a 3HKO while its Steel Wing does respectable damage against Mandibuzz's weakened defense, overall not a great matchup,
Performance: C-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41, Mandibuzz speed ties with Unfezant which can it make difficult to set up since it has Taunt, Air Slash 3HKOs and +2 Snarl 2HKOs it while it doesn't do much in return, Air Slash flinces can be annoying though, Samorott's speed is irrelevant since it always goes for positive or negative priority moves, +2 Sharp Peak boosted Air Slash 2HKOs it and it very likely activates Weak Armor, with this speed boost Mandibuzz then outspeeds and OHKOs Simisage with +2 Air Slash, a bit of a messy fight but Mandibuzz should mostly sweep without healing support,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44, Mandibuzz is outsped by the two Ice types and Cryogonal setting up Light Screen turn 1 makes it impossible to sweep with its special attacks efficiently, Rock Smash or Rock Tomb can 2HKO the Ice type and Mandibuzz can whittle down the two Poison types with Air Slash, at least Mandibuzz will likely not be knocked out but it is a pretty sad display because it is so incredibly passive, Hugh is doing most of the work here,
Performance: C/D-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Mandibuzz is faster than Druddigon and also outspeeds the rest after it activates Weak Armor, this battle is a huge coin flip, it all depends on what Druddigon does, Mandibuzz needs 2 Nasty Plots and Metronome to sweep with Air Slash or Dark Pulse, at +4 Druddigon is 2HKOed and Flygon and Haxorus are OHKOed, the big massive problem is that a single Dragon Tail from Druddigon completely ruins Mandibuzz's chance of doing anything in this fight and it has 3 turns to go for it, Air Slash gives you better chances on the third turn but then you have to hope not to miss against Flygon and Haxorus to not ruin your Metronome counter, very unreliable sweep,
Performance: D-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48, Mandibuzz is slower than everything until it activates Weak Armor, Cryogonal outspeeds it, can confuse it or set up screens and Ice Beam is a clean 2HKO, all attacks Mandibuzz can go for do pathetic damage, Weavile even has Ice Shard to pick it off later if Mandibuzz somehow (I really don't know how) gets past the two Cryogonals, unwinable matchup,
Performance: F-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Mandibuzz outspeeds everything, the plan is to equip Metronome, set up 1 Nastly Plot and then spam Dark Pulse, Mandibuzz can take 2 Smack Downs from Carracosta (even after the Weak Armor defense drop), Dark Pulse 2HKOs Carracosta, Wailord is 2HKOed by boosted Dark Pulse even if it goes for Amnesia, 1 Hyper Potion might be needed though (healing items don't reset the Metronome counter), Jellicent is OHKOed by boosted Dark Pulse, decently safe and consistent sweep,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Mandibuzz is slower than Cryogonal but outspeeds everything after Weak Armor, it won't get a chance to sweep though because Cryogonal's Ice Beam is a clean 2HKO and even a Nasty Plot Mandibuzz deals far to less damage to Cryogonal to not just die on turn 2, Confuse Ray and later Light Screen are also a big road block, Weavile even has Ice Shard to pick it off, the best Mandibuzz can do is OHKO Liepard with +2 Air Slash and then dying, really bad matchup since there is no way to protect it from the Ice attacks,
Performance: E/F-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52, even worse than last time, Mandibuzz is slower than everything and likely won't get a Weak Armor boost, Ice Beam from Cryogonal is a clean 2HKO and Dark Pulse is doing almost nothing, hopeless matchup,
Performance: F-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Mandibuzz outspeeds everything, it has to get rather lucky this fight and also needs healing support, it needs at least 4 hits with Expert Belt boosted Bone Rush to OHKO Magneton and Magnezone who it really can't afford to let live, Klinklang's Thunderbolt is thankfully not a 2HKO but its boosted Giga Impact is also very scary, especially because Mandibuzz deals low damage even after it breaks its Air Balloon, at least the 1v1 matchups against Beheeyem and Metang are alrigtht with healing support, another bad matchup for Mandibuzz,
Performance: D-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55, Mandibuzz can super safely set up Nasty Plots on Caf*grigus, with just 1 Full Restore it can get to +6 and then knock it out with Dark Pulse, Seismitoad and Eelektross are OHKOed as well, Hydreigon is faster and +6 Air Slash is somehow not an OHKO, after it hits Mandibuzz with any move it will be faster than it thanks to Weak Armor, it can flinch Mandibuzz with Rock Slide though, in that case to have to heal to full with 3 Hyper Potions because Rock Slide is now a 2HKO and Air Slash only OHKOs after 3 Life Orb hits, the rest is simpler as Drapion and Toxicroak are OHKOed by +6 Air Slash, Metronome can help with some ranges but Leftovers is also nice to have,
Performance: A-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57, Mandibuzz is slower than Unfezant before a Weak Armor boost, this is just not a good matchup, Swagger can make things even more difficult than it already is, Mandibuzz needs two many boosts to be threatening and has no good setup oppertunity, +2 Dark Pulse is not a 2HKO on Samurott without Metronome and its Ice Beam is doing a ton of damage, Simisage's Rock Slide and Bouffalant's Wild Charge also do a number after the Weak Armor defense drop, Simisage still needs 2 Air Slashes even at +2 and Boufallant is likely only 3HKOed, turns that Mandibuzz doesn't get,
Performance: E-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 59, Mandibuzz outspeeds everything even without a Weak Armor boost, one of the easiest matchups for it, Cof*grigus can't do more than burn Mandibuzz which means it can freely set up Nasty Plot, and at +2 and with Metronome to help with ranges Dark Pulse simply OHKOs everything, Mandibuzz is never in danger and the enemy Pokemon never get a turn,
Performance: S-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 59, Mandibuzz outspeeds Throh and also everything else after a Weak Armor boost, Mandibuzz needs to set up 2 Nasty Plots and at +4 it OHKOs everything with Expert Belt boosted Air Slash, Sawk is a problem though because if you don't get the flinch as it goes down to Sturdy its Rock Slide is going to hurt after the defense drops, overall still a good matchup,
Performance: A-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 59, Mandibuzz is slower than Liepard but outspeeds everything after Weak Armor boosts, Mandibuzz can pretty safely set up Nasty Plots on Liepard, 2 are enough to OHKO Liepard and Scrafty, +6 is enough to also OHKO Krookodile, there is no way that Mandibuzz gets past Bisharp though, Bone Rush is doing nothing to it after Intimidate and even +6 Air Slash is not even a 2HKO, meanwhile Bisharp's attacks hit like a truck after several Weak Armor defense drops,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 59, Mandibuzz outspeeds everything, it needs to set up 2 Nasty Plots to OHKO everything with Expert Belt boosted Dark Pulse, Musharna barely does anything, Charge Beams does little damage and you can equip a Chesto Berry against Yawn, though you can also heal sleep afterwards, Mandibuzz is never really in danger, safe and consistent sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59, Mandibuzz is slower half the team and doesn't really get a safe Weak Armor boost against anything, Hydreigon's Dragon Pulse is only a 3HKO so it can set up Nasty Plots against it with healing items, however even at +6 Mandibuzz is not getting an OHKO against anything and just can't take attacks from Druddigon, Aggron, Lapras and Archeops, with heavy healing support it can maybe take down 2 Pokemon but its a struggle,
Performance: E-tier

Overall battle performance: C-tier
Gym 4 Elesa: level 30, Panpour is slow than Emolga and Zebstrika, even Eviolite Volt Switch from Emolga still does ~80% and Zebstrika still OHKOs it, Panpour can do something with Rock Tomb on Emolga and Dig for Flaaffy which can 2HKO them with boosting items but Panpour simply can not take enough attacks for that,
Performance: F-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Panpour outspeeds everything except Excadrill, Scald has a high chance to OHKO Krokorok but sadly Sandslash is not OHKOed even with a boosting item equipped, Sandslash's Bulldoze does a lot which makes it faster and Crush Claw is also dangerous, Excadrill 2HKOs Panpour with Bulldoze even through Eviolite and needs two boosted Scalds to go down, Panpour is just a bit lacking in the bulk and power department since it can't evolve yet,
Performance: B/C-tier

Hugh 3:
level 34, Panpour holds the Eviolite, Panpour outspeeds Dewott and can 1v1 it by 3HKOing it with Dig but its Revenge does decent damage in return, Simisage then just outspeeds and knocks out Panpour from the remaining health with Seed Bomb, Panpour can at least be saved for Tranquill though as it 2HKOs it with Scald while Air Cutter does almost nothing,
Performance: B/C-tier

Cheren 2:
level 34, Panpour holds the Eviolite, Panpour outspeeds everything except Cinccino, after 1 Work Up Panpour 2HKOs everything with Scald, the performance in this battle depends a lot on how often Panpour gets attacked and if Scald burns or not,
Performance: B-tier

Colress 2:
level 34, Panpour holds the Eviolite, Panpour is faster than everything but it really has to hope that Magneton doesn't have Sturdy, otherwise it will Thunder Waved and the whole battle gets a lot worse, Dig does OHKO it though, Panpour can set up a Work Up on Klink which Thunder Shock doesn't do much, +1 Dig OHKOs it, Elgyem is OHKOed with +1 Scald if it burns, either way Psybeam doesn't do much back,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Simipour outspeeds everything, Swoobat is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Rock Slide, Swanna is 2HKOed by Rock Slide and its Air Slash is barely not a 2HKO, Feather Dance can be very annoying here, Skarmory is cleanly 2HKOed by Surf, overall pretty solid sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Hugh 4:
level 42, Simipour outspeeds everything, it can very safely set up Work Ups on Unfezant, +1 Surf is enough to OHKO it, Simisage is OHKOed by Acrobatics, +1 Acrobatics is only a roll to 2HKO Samurott so you might want to use 2 Work Ups on Unfezant if it doesn't use Taunt, Samurott can deal the most damage back but Simipour still doesn't need any healing items to sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 1: level 44, Simipour outspeeds everything except Sneasel, on turn 1 it can set up a Work Up as Cryogonal goes for Light Screen, Golbat's Acrobatics can do almost half though, next turn +1 Rock Slide OHKOs both Cryogonal and Golbat, Sneasel doesn't do much and also dies to +1 Rock Slide while Garbodor dies in 2 turns after Weak Armor boosts and combined attacks with Samurott, the Wide Lens is very useful since you want to hit multiple Rock Slides, though without Expert Belt the OHKOs on Golbat and Sneasel are a roll, Samurott likely picks them up with Aqua Jet though, in theory the fight can go poorly but overall the sweep is rather consistent,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Simipour outspeeds everything, it wants to set up 1 Work Up on Druddigon and then spam Blizzard to OHKO everything, Wide Lens can help a bit with the bad accuracy but the odds are still not great, Simipour can take 1 or 2 hits, so i could miss like 1 Blizzard or go for the 2HKO with Surf on Flygon instead but this matchup has a lot of RNG, it can go very well or very poorly,
Performance: B/C-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48, Simipour outspeeds the two Cryogonals but not Weavile, Rock Slide OHKOs both Cryogonals before they can get a move off, Weavile is sadly faster and not OHKOed even with boosting items, Night Slash does almost half and Simipour has to take two to 1v1 it from full, not great given the additional crit chance of Night Slash, Simipour can't really set up to +1 on the Cryogonals well which would hit the OHKO on Weavile because Confuse Ray and Screens are a problem and can put Simipour into crit Night Slash range, overall still a good matchup though,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Simipour outspeeds everything, Surf 2HKOs Carracosta while Crunch doesn't do too much in return, Carracosta is still slower if it goes for Shell Smash, Wailord is 2HKOed by Acrobatics into +1 Acrobatics, you can set up Work Ups during Bounce turns or in general as Wailord is not all that threatening, 1 Full Restore might be needed if Bounce paralyses Simipour though, Jellicent is 2HKOed by +1 Acrobatics while Ominous Wind doesn't do too much, if Cursed Body activates then Rock Slide still kills afterwards if Simipour is at +2,
Performance: B-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Simipour outspeeds everything except Weavile, this is a Rock Slide sweep (equip the Wide Lens), how it goes is that Simipour OHKOs the Ice Pokemon and Samurott picks up the Pokemon left with half health, Simipour OHKOs the Cryogonals with spread Rock Slide, and deals over half to everything else, the only threatening Pokemon is Weavile who's Night Slash is doing a lot to Simipour, still incredibly fast and consistent sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Simipour outspeeds everything, the Cryogonals are OHKOed by either Rock Slide or Acrobatics, Weavile is 2HKOed but its Night Slash is actually a 2HKO on Simipour as well, so a crit could be a sweep ender, but still an amazingly easy sweep of course, Wide Lens is a useful item if you want to go full Rock Slide sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 3:
level 53, Simipour outspeeds everything, not a good type matchup for Simipour, every Pokemon except Metang has a move to hit it super effectively, with Dig and a Cheri Berry it can take out Magneton who still tries to Thunder Wave you, but Magnezone just OHKOs you, better to skip those two, Klinklang is also scary though, only Beheeyem and Metang are somewhat okay matchups,
Performance: D/E-tier

Ghetsis:
level 53/54/55, Simipour outspeeds everything, it can somwhat safely set up 1-2 Work Ups on Cof*grigus, after which it is 2HKOed by Surf, Simipour needs Metronome to get past Eelektross and Hydreigon efficiently (+1 Surf/Ice Beam is not an OHKO), third hit Metronome boosted Surf OHKOs Eelektross, when Seismitoad comes in Simipour should start Ice Beaming for it to be strong enough for Hydreigon later, 1 Hyper Potion might be needed but Seismitoad isn't that threatening, +1 Ice Beam 2HKOs it, Drapion, Hydreigon and Toxicroak are then OHKOed by Metronome boosted Ice Beams, the setup is a bit shaky due to Simipour's poor bulk but it doesn't need many healing items to sweep,
Performance: A/B-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57, Simipour outspeeds everything, Persim Berry is probably the best item for this fight as Simipour actually likes the free attack boost from Swagger, after 1 Work Up Unfezant is OHKOed by Ice Beam, Bouffalant is dangerous though, Simipour can take 1 Head Charge or Wild Carge from full but if Unfezant dealt enough chip damage it becomes dicy, +1 Surf has a good chance to 2HKO Bouffalant, Simisage is simply outsped and OHKOed by Acrobatics, Samurott needs a second Work Up to be 2HKOed by Acrobatics, Simipour will be low by this point so 1-2 Hyper Potions will be needed, a bit of a shaky sweep,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58/59, Simipour outspeeds everything, it wants to set up 1 Work Up which it can do decently well on Cof*grigus, but its Shadow Ball has a small chance to 2HKO it if it goes for it twice, 1 Full Restore is likely needed, at +1 Surf 2HKOs Cof*grigus, +1 Expert Belt boosted Ice Beam OHKOs Drifblim, and Chandelure and Golurk get OHKOed by +1 Surf, overall solid sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Simipour outspeeds everything, Throh is only 2HKOed by Acrobatics but with a Flying Gem it is a roll for an OHKO which Simipour should go for because the speed drop from Bulldoze is really bad for it, Mienshao is OHKOed by Acrobatics as well, Simipour can take 1 Hammer Arm from Conkeldurr from full HP but Acrobatics is likely not a 2HKO, especially if it goes for Bulk Up, Sawk gets brought down to its Sturdy but Simipour can't afford to take a hit this late,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58/59, Simipour outspeeds everything, it can set up 1 Work Up on Liepard, though it can be annoying with Attract and Night Slash does decent damage, +1 Surf OHKOs Liepard and Krookodile, Scrafty is OHKOed by +1 Flying Gem boosted Acrobatics even after Intimidate, Bisharp is 2HKOed by +1 Surf but Simipour is likely too low at this point to get a second turn as Night Slash does just over half, unless you can bait Bisharp into another move when Simipour is low and you heal it up to get another turn, Simipour will not completely sweep, still a good fight though,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Simipour outspeeds everything, it can set up Work Ups on Musharna rather comfortable, it could go for Charge Beam but in my testing it always went for Yawn, so just equip a Chesto Berry and use 1 Full Heal to go to +3 or +4 depending if Musharna uses Reflect, these boosts are enough to OHKO Musharna and everything else with Shadow Claw, pretty safe sweep but requires a few items and setup turns, maybe also slow because of Reflect,
Performance: A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Simipour outspeeds everything and can at least 2HKO every Pokemon with Expert Belt, the problem is it can really only take one hit from full, so if you want to sweep with it alone you will have to spend a couple of Revives on it, Aggron and Archeops stand out as they are straightup OHKOed by Surf, the three Dragons are 2HKOed by Ice Beam and Lapras is 2HKOed by Rock Slide, overall not too bad but Simipour is just too frail,
Performance: B/C-tier

Overall battle performance: B-tier
Hugh 4: level 42, Grumpig speed ties with Unfezant, it is 2HKOed by Charge Beam and doesn't do much damage, Simisage is faster and its Seed Bomb does almost half, +1 Expert Belt boosted Signal Beam OHKOs it in return, Samurott is slower and its Aqua Jet is doing decent damage, +1 Expert Belt boosted Energy Ball has a chance to OHKO it, if you got 2 Special Attack raises from Charge Beam, then it's a safe OHKO, not too much can go wrong in this fight and Grumpig likely doesn't need a healing item,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44, Grumpig is slower than the two Ice types but outspeeds the two Poison types, Cryogonal will always use Light Screen turn 1 which is a pain but Golbat is still OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Psychic even through the screen and Garbodor is 2HKOed, Grumpig kind of relies on Samurott to take out Crogonal and to an extent Sneasel with Revenge and you can set it up somewhat well, Signal Beam can also hit Sneasel, overall not a bad fight but having only half damage for the entire battle is a big downside,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Grumpig is faster than Druddigon but slower than the other Dragons, this matchup is just not good, Grumpig is not strong enough to muscle through this strong team with neutral STAB and no resistance, all three Pokemon also have phyiscal Dark moves that threaten it, Druddigon's Crunch especially is very dangerous and a clean 2HKO while Psychic is not a 2HKO in return, maybe if Grumpig gets lucky with moves against Druddigon and was taught Icy Wind from the move tutor for Flygon it could do something of note but otherwise this is just a bad matchup,
Performance: E/F-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 49, Grumpig is slower than everything, Cryogonal's Ice Beam doesn't do much because of Thick Fat but it can still chip Grumpig down with Slash and Confuse Ray because Psychic (or even Power Gem) is only a 4HKO, if the second Cryogonal sets up Light Screen it is even worse, so you need some Hyper Potions just to get through those, and then Weavile comes in and does a clean 80% with Nigh Slash while Power Gem or Signal Beam don't OHKO in return, just a bad matchup,
Performance: E-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Grumpig outspeeds everything, the plan is to equip Metronome and spam Engery Ball (Charge Beam doesn't perform better), Carracosta's Crunch does over half but Grumpig is still faster than it even at +2 if it instead goes for Shell Smash, after getting knocked down twice to Sturdy the next Energy Ball knocks it out and is boosted well by Metronome to 2HKO Jellicent after, Grumpig can't take Crunch + Ominous Wind though, so you have to spent 1-2 Hyper Potions (healing items don't reset the Metronome counter), after Jellicent goes down Wailord is OHKOed by massively boosted Engery Ball, not a very safe sweep,
Performance: C-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Grumpig is slower than the Ice types and Scolipede but thankfully outspeeds Liepard at least who is OHKOed by Signal Beam, with Thick Fat Grumpig isn't really afraid of the Cryogonals but Confuse Ray and Light Screen are still annoying, and sadly Scolipede and Weavile are just far too dangerous and deal heavy damage or just knock it out, with Samurott taking care of the Cryogonals the matchup isn't that bad but Grumpig struggles against the ace Pokemon,
Performance: C-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Grumpig is slower than everything, while the Cryogonals can't touch Grumpig much thanks to Thick Fat, they can still chip Grumpig down with Confuse Ray and Slash, Psyshock is needed to 2HKO them, some healing support is probably required, Weavile is hopeless, Night Slash is nearly an OHKO from full while Signal Beam doesn't KO in return,
Performance: C-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Grumpig outspeeds everything except Klinklang, with Expert Belt and a lot of healing items it can sweep, Bulldoze 3HKOs Magneton and 2HKOs Magnezone and Grumpig can take their special attacks well, Klinklang is more dangerous but it can be locked into repeated Giga Impacts with Hyper Potions to eventually chip it down with Bulldoze, Metang is similar but does less damage to Grumpig, Beheeyem is 2HKOed by Shadow Ball, pretty resource intensive but at least Grumpig can sweep,
Performance: C/D-tier

Ghetsis:
level 53/54, Grumpig outspeeds about half of the team but does only fair okay against Cof*grigus,Seismitoad and Toxicroak, Drapion and Hydreigon just outspeed and OHKO it, even Eelektross' Crunch is a 2HKO, with Shadow Ball and Engery Ball Grumpig can at least 1v1 Cof*grigus and Seismitoad with Expert Belt, overall Grumpig just gets dumpstered though,
Performance: D-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57, Grumpig is only faster than Bouffalant and Samurott but it just can't catch a break in this fight, neutral Psychics and even super-effective Signal Beams and Energy Balls just don't get the KOs, every Pokemon has a super-effective physical move that 2HKOs Grumpig, even Unfezant's U-turn does, Grumpig is just not fast, strong and bulky enough to do much of anything here,
Performance: E/F-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Grumpig outspeeds everything, it sadly doesn't have any better strategy than spamming Shadow Ball and hoping the enemy Pokemon go down before it does, unfortunately each Pokemon is only 2HKOed by Shadow Ball even with Metronome, the enemy attacks also just deal too much damage, Grumpig can probably take down 2 Pokemon or even 3 with items support but Chandelure is just too much, still as far as bad type matchups go it isn't horrible,
Performance: C/D-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Grumpig outspeeds everything except Mienshao, Psychic spam seems good but nothing except Mienshao is OHKOed by it and Payback really hurts, as it also gets powered up when you use healing items, so you can't outlast them, Grumpig just can't take physical hits too well,
Performance: C-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58, Grumpig just can't overcome its type matchup, it can barely take down Liepard with Expert Belt boosted Signal Beam but Krookodile just outspeeds it and nearly OHKOs it from full with Crunch, and Grumpig has absolutely nothing for Scrafty and Bisharp, Performance: E/F-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Grumpig outspeeds everything, it simply spams Shadow Ball with Metronome or Expert Belt equipped to 2HKO everything, Musharna and Reuniclus can't really do anything to Grumpig and it can take Sigiliyph's and Gothitelle's Shadow Balls decently well, 1-2 Full Heals and 1 Hyper Potion will still be required, a bit slow but the sweep is rather safe,
Performance: A/B-tier

Champion Iris:
level 58/59, Grumpid outspeeds the slower half of the team but has real struggles in this matchup, thankfully Hydreigon has no Dark type move but Signal Beam is still only a 3HKO while Dragon Pulse is also a 3HKO on Grumpig so it needs healing support, Druddigon, Archeops and Haxorus are all unwinable matchups and Aggron even walls Grumpig completely, the only good matchup is Lapras who it can 1v1 with Energy Ball, neutral Psychic STAB with underwhelming physical defense and mediocre offenses just doesn't cut it here,
Performance: E-tier

Overall battle performance: C/D-tier
Zinzolin 1: level 44, Tangrowth is slower than Cryogonal and Golbat but outspeeds everything except Sneasel after Sunny Day, Cryogonal will always use Light Screen on turn 1 and Golbat can go for Acrobatics which does almost half to Tangrowth, next turn Expert Belt boosted Rock Slide OHKOs Cryogonal and does around 90% to Golbat who is then picked off by Samurott, Sneasel is only 2HKOed and Garbodor 3HKOed by Rock Slide, sadly Tangrowth never really has a setup oppertunity for Growth as its threatened by Cryogonal's Ice Beam and Sneasel can use Snatch, either way Sneasel and Garbodor will likely be knocked out in 2 turns with Samurott's help for a somewhat decent sweep if you don't miss any Rock Slides despite the horrible type matchup, if Tangrowth gets hit by Acrobatics into 2 Slude Bombs then it could get knocked out but that never came up for me,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Tangrowth is slower than everything except Druddigon, it needs +5 to OHKO everything, Sunny Day lets it outspeed everything, but Dragon Tail is a problem, you can make it relearn Ingrain to counter that but then you really have to mess up your moveset and also run into four moveslot problems, still Tangrowth lines up rather well even if it doesn't like being phazed out, Rock Slide can deal with Druddigon and Haxorus and Giga Drain with Flygon, Sleep Powder is also a good choice, either a messy or very long fight but not that bad,
Performance: C-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 49, Tangrowth is slower than everything but outspeeds all Pokemon after Sunny Day, Cryogonal's Ice Beam is very close to being an OHKO, after Tangrowth boosts its speed though Rock Slide is an OHKO on both Cryogonals and 2HKO on Weavile (equip the Wide Lens), Tangrowth needs 1 Hyper Potion to get out of Weavile's Ice Shard range though (Ice Shard is a 4HKO), really hard to judge Tangrowth's performance here, mine always hang on with single digit HP and then swept easily but I can also see it doing nothing and just dying to Ice Beam if it is a few levels lower or has worse special defense because of IVs, EVs and natures, for me personally it was a positive matchup though,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Tangrowth is slower than Wailord and Jellicent but outspeeds both in sun, the strategy for this fight is using any non-Grass move like Rock Slide to break Carracosta's Sturdy, then use Sunny Day, then 1 Growth and then sweep everything with +2 Giga Drain, Carracosta can't do much to be threatening during this setup, only if it Shell Smashes, goes for Scald and gets the burn it becomes a bit dangerous, but it still isn't enough to prevent Tangrowth from sweeping, the setup is kind of long though, just spamming Giga Drain normally works too but is worse due to Wailord being faster and having Amnesia and Bounce,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Tangrowth is slower than everything before it sets up sun, and Cryogonal's Ice Beam is very close to being an OHKO, if Liepard also attacks into Tangrowth it just dies without ever getting to act, so you just have to hope that Cryogonal doesn't Ice Beam Tangrowth on turn 1, after setting up sun Tangrowth is doing alright, spread Rock Slide is OHKOing the Cryogonals and doing good chip damage to the Grunt's Pokemon or flinching them, Weavile's Ice Shard and Scolipede's Steamroller are actually not doing all that much and Rock Slide is a 2HKO on both, so if Tangrowth survives turn 1 it is actually not that bad, but of course that is a massive if and there is not a small chance that is just does nothing, 1 Hyper Potion will likely also be needed even if you get into your sweep,
Performance: D/E-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 52, Tangrowth is slower than everything until it sets up sun, it can survive 1 Ice Beam from full and then OHKO both Cryogonal with Rock Slide (equip the Wide Lens), at least 1 Hyper Potion is needed against Weavile to get out of Ice Shard range (4HKO from full), Rock Slide 2HKOs it,
Performance: C-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Tangrowth is slower than everything except Metang and Beheeyem, Flash Cannon from Magneton and Magnezone are also 2HKOs on Tangrowth, however with a Sitrus Berry equipped Magneton won't put Tangrowth into Magnezone's Flash Cannon range (it often goes for Thunder Wave instead now), so both can be 2HKOed by Bulldoze, it is rather sketchy though as any full para or crit just means game over for Tangrowth, it really has no turns to spare, Klinklang is also though as you have to break its Air Balloon and chip it down with Bulldoze before it sets up too much and Giga Impact knocks Tangrowth out, should be fine overall though, Metang is complete setup fodder, you can set up Sunny Day and 1 Growth and then OHKO Metang and Beheeyem with Bulldoze and Power Whip,
Performance: C-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55/56, Tangrowth is slower than everything except Cof*grigus outside sun, Giga Drain is a much safer move in this fight than Power Whip as Cof*grigus' Mummy turns off Chlorophyll, which Tangrowth can't afford as most Pokemon have strong enough moves to almost 2HKO it, Giga Drain also makes it easier to set up sun again later, Tangrowth wants to set up 2 Growths in sun, setting up on Cof*grigus is a bit risky as 1 special defense drop turns Shadow Ball into a 2HKO, +4 Bulldoze 2HKOs, Seismitoad and Eelektross are both OHKOed by +2 Power Whip, Hydreigon is OHKOed by +4 Power Whip, Drapion and Toxicroak go down to +2 Bulldoze, rather shaky sweep attempt but it can work, go with Giga Drain for sure though,
Performance: C/D-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57, Tangrowth is slower than everything outside sun, Unfezant can be annoying with Swagger (the attack boost can also help though), U-turn does okay damage and Bouffalant will come in who can be a massive wall if it has Sap Sipper (still don't know how the game selects between abilities, last playthrough it never had Sap Sipper, this time it always had it), Tangrowth needs +3 to 2HKO with Rock Slide and setting up Growths on Bouffalant is very risky as Mega Horn is a 2HKO and Head Charge is also doing a lot, Tangrowth does actually well against Simisage and Samurott but it wants to be set up before those come in and it just doesn't have a good setup oppertunity, Unfezant is OHKOed by +2 Rock Slide,
Performance: C/D-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58/59, Tangrowth is only faster than Cof*grigus before setting up sun, it needs a lot of boosts from Growth and items in this fight, Cof*grigus' Shadow Ball is close to a 2HKO on Tangrowth but it always tries to burn it first, Tangrowth's +2 Giga Drain is a roll to knock out Cof*grigus and you really don't want to miss the range, Energy Ball + Miracle Seed might therefore an option but you really don't want to forget Giga Drain for the other fights in the league, you also have to heal off the burn to get the OHKOs on Chandelure and Drifblim with +2 Rock Slide, and you have to time it right to have sun still up when Chandelure comes in, Tangrowth also has to set it back up on Drifblim which is a bit dangerous, Golurk is OHKOed at +2 by Giga Drain, overall just kind of sketchy but at least Tangrowth can completely sweep with some support,
Performance: C-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Throh can't do too much to Tangrowth other than lower its speed which means Tangrowth can set up to +6 in 4 turns with Sunny Day and Growth, then it can just OHKO everything, it will always be going second but its good physical bulk and the healing from Giga Drain mean it can sweep without a healing item most likely, it is prone getting crit a bit though,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 59/60, Tangrowth is slower than Liepard but outspeeds everything in sun, it can easily set up Sunny Day and 2 Growths on Liepard who could really only be annoying with Attract (it never did in my testing and rather went for Aerial Aces which do barely anything), +4 is enough for Giga Drain to OHKO Liepard, Scrafty and Krookodile, sun is going to run out at one point but Tangrowth has no problem setting it back up on any Pokemon thanks to its good physical bulk and Giga Drain healing it back to full, Bisharp is OHKOed by +4 Rock Smash, really easy and conistent sweep, it just requires a few setup turns,
Performance: S/A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 59/60, Tangrowth outspeeds Musharna and Reuniclus but is slower than Sigilyph and Gothitelle outside sun, it can pretty safely set up Sunny Day and Growths on Musharna, though it is a bit annyoing to time everything between keeping sun up and don't be under Yawn after knocking out Musharna with a +4 or +6 Giga Drain, Sigilyph is outsped and OHKOed by boosted Rock Slide, Reuniclus and Gothitelle are OHKOed by +6 Giga Drain, Tangrowth has to set up sun again at some point though which it can do fairly easy, pretty safe sweep but it is rather slow and requires at least 2-3 Full Heals against Yawn,
Performance: B-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59, Tangrowth just can not set up well on a single Pokemon and without sun a slow Grass type that is weak to special moves is just useless, Aggron is the Pokemon it can take on 1v1,
Performance: E/F-tier

Overall battle performance: C-tier

I finished my last run for now.

I used the following team for a Black 2 run:
  • Oshawott (Starter)
  • Magby (Trade) (caught in Virbank Complex)
  • Roggenrola (Trade) (caught in Relice Passage)
  • Woobat (caught in Relice Passage)
  • Zorua (received from Rood in Driftveil City)
  • Virizion (stationary encounter on Route 11)

Oshawott is a rather bland Water type. Not much of anything makes it stand out above other Water type options. And its only real distinguishing features are all physical despite the fact that Samurott has more special attack than attack. Megahorn is a cool relearn move at the PWT but it doesn't actually offer that much coverage overall. For most of the game, Samurott will simply click Surf or Razor Shell, sometimes Megahorn. Its movepool is pretty barren. At the end of the main story, just before the league, it learns Swords Dance which allows it to be a setup sweeper. Aqua Jet is kind of needed, though, because Samurott's speed is abit underwhelming. Its attack stat is also not that great for the record. But hey, Water is a good type, you get this thing at the start of the game and Razor Shell is a pretty good mid game move. Oshawott has 3 nominations so far, 1 each for A-, A/B- and B-tier. While it is basically never bad, it is still kind of mediocre. I am just not very excited about it. I am leaning more towards B-tier for Oshawott but I could see A-tier.

Magby is overall solid but its sadly has two pretty bad gym leader matchups and it falls off in the late game starting with the Ghetsis fight. Until you get its evolution item, which is pretty late, Magmar and Maby are also rather frail, so it can't take many hits. Thunder Punch and maybe Dual Chop are some needed Red Shard tutor moves as it otherwise has no coverage for Water and Dragon types. Still, natural Flamethrower is nice, and Magmar and Magmortar are decent mixed attackers. Magmortar especially has a good TM learnset. But this evolution line really falls off in the late game, where it can't contribute very well. Magby (Trade) has 1 nomination so far for B-tier, and I agree B-tier for Magby (Trade) seems fair.

Roggenrola is very one-dimensional. It is pretty much doing nothing else than clicking Rock Slide for almost the entire game. Its options are very limited. Bulldoze is an okay coverage option and Stone Edge is good but it has really nothing else of note. It is pretty good during the early and mid game, and even some ways into the late game, because it is a trade evolution, so you can get Gigalith's base 135 attack stat really early. But its horrible speed, lacking offensive and bad defensive typing catches up to it at some point. Wide Lens is also a must for this Pokemon because there is nothing worse than missing when you are this slow. It is already not great that it almost always goes second. It falls off even worse than Magby. Roggenrola (Trade) has 2 C-tier nominations so far and I think that is fitting. C-tier for Roggenrola (Trade).

Woobat is bad. I don't think that comes as a big surprise to many people. Aside from its great speed, Swoobat just has really bad stats. It is so frail and weak. Even if you would get lucky in the Hidden Grotto on Route 6, which is a lot later than Relice Passage, and get one with the Simple ability, it wouldn't move the needle much for Swoobat. Because Swoobat rarely has a safe setup opportunity with Calm Mind. It is also stonewalled by Steel types, and how often I had to use Acrobatics on this base 57 attack Pokemon should be telling. The late game Dark types also dunk on it. Not to mention it is a friendship evolution from Woobat in the first place, which doesn't take that long in gen 5 but is still cumbersome. For some ungodly reason Confusion is also only a relearn move on Woobat, so you can't replace its much worse physical Psychic type opion, Heart Stamp, until level 41. At least it is fast, which is the most important stat for a lacking Pokemon but this thing is really mediocre. Woobat had 1 nomination for D-tier so far and I agree. Woobat belongs in D-tier.

Zorua has the exact opposite problem to Oshawott. It is clearly meant to be a special attacker but doesn't have the moves to be one until the end of the game. For some reason, its signature move Night Daze is only learned past level 60 and Nasty Plot is also really late at level 54. And it can only learn Dark Pulse from the Move Tutor. For 10 Blue Shards, which means it can't get the move before post game. Snarl is just barely stronger than Shadow Ball, so its "main" move on the special setup sweep set is actually going to be Flamethrower, which you get the TM for just before Victory Road. So Zoroark pretty much no other option than go with a physical Hone Claws setup set for the mid and most of the late game. But to be fair, it is actually pretty solid at being a setup sweeper on both sides. Illusion is surprisingly useful in giving it a free setup turn, which is often all it needs to sweep. Its coverage isn't amazing on both spectrums. Low Kick might be worth getting from the Move Tutor but the Dig TM often does the job as well. But if Zoroark doesn't have a good lead matchup for setup and a not a favourable type matchup like against Drayden and Iris, then it probably isn't doing very much. It is still very frail, so once Illusion is up, it is sweep or bust. It is nice that Zorua is a gift Pokemon, though, which means 1.5x gained Exp. Zorua has 2 nominations for B-tier and 1 nomination for C-tier so far. I am joining the upper tier crew, B-tier for Zorua.

Virizion is honestly really good and can still contribute in a surprising amount of battles for a legendary Pokemon. But as far as legendary Pokemon go, its offenses are a bit underwhelming. Base 90 is just a bit low, especially for a late game Pokemon which won't be getting as many EVs as earlier Pokemon. Still, its speed is great and is also learns Swords Dance very soon, which lets it be a good physical sweeper as it also has solid bulk to set up on most things. It does suck, though, that Leaf Blad is only learned at level 67, which means you won't get it during the main story. So you have to give it Seed Bomb from the Red Shard Move Tutor if you want to make use of Swords Dance on its Grass moves as well. Otherwise it has to settle for Giga Drain or Engery Ball and go a mixed attacker route. Virizion's movepool is also pretty barren. X-Scissor is its only real coverage move it can get before post game. Which means it has no way to hit Poison and Flying types well. Still, it mostly has great to good matchups with the exception of Iris. For a late game Pokemon, Virizion is solid. It has 2 nominations for B-tier so far, but I think that is fair. It is a late game Pokemon but not that late, B-tier for Virizion.

Here are my logs for them (double post because of word count again):
Gym 1 Cheren: level 13, Oshawott outspeeds both Pokemon, it misses the 2HKO on Patrat and 3HKO on Lillipup with Water Gun, with an Oran Berry and maybe a Potion Oshawott should sweep, it can take hits decently well,
Performance: B-tier

Gym 2 Roxie:
level 18, Dewott outspeeds everything, Koffing is 2HKOed with any Water move, Whirlipede is 3HKOed by Razor Shell (2HKOed after a defense drop), with a Pecha Berry equipped Dewott is never really at danger,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 3 Burgh:
level 24/25, Dewott outspeeds Swadloon but only until it uses String Shot once, then Dewott is slower than everything, Leavanny is a big problem, Dewott's only chance to get past it is using Fury Cutter, Swadloon is 3HKOed by Fury Cutter (Return would also be a 3HKO) and the then incoming Leavanny is OHKOed by 4th hit Fury Cutter, with the help of Eviolite Dewott can take 1 Razor Leaf from Swadloon plus 1 Razor Leaf from Leavanny from full to make this possible, it then needs a Super Potion against Dwebble but 1v1s it easily with Water moves after that, the Fury Cutter strategy is a bit fragil though as it fails if Swadloon decides to use Razor Leaf twice, if Fury Cutter misses once or if any Razor Leaf crits, still at least it is possible a reasonable amount of the time,
Performance: B-tier

Colress 1
: level 24, Dewott outspeeds everything and can take the Electric attacks of Magnemite and Klink surprisingly well with the Eviolite, if you got lucky enough to get a Cheri Berry from the Clerk in Studio Castelia, then the fight is even easier, Magnemite is 2HKOed by Water Gun and Klink is 2HKOed by Razor Shell, neither one being much of a threat, surprisingly good matchup,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 30, Dewott is outsped by everything except Flaaffy, it can 2HKO Flaaffy on the switch with Water Pulse as Emolga Volt Switches out to it, with Eviolite Emolga's Volt Switch is not a 2HKO, but Zebstrika's Volt Switch still is, it has no real way to escape the Volt Switch vortex of Emolga and Zebstrika unless the AI has a brain fart,
Performance: C/D-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Dewott outspeeds everything except Excadrill, Krokorok is OHKOed by Water Pulse and Sandslash is also OHKOed by Expert Belt, Excadrill is 2HKOed by Water Pulse and Dewott can take two attacks, Rock Slide is scary though as it does deal lots of damage and has a nasty flinch chance, maybe 1 Hyper Potion is needed for that,
Performance: S/A-tier

Hugh 3:
level 33, Dewott carries the Eviolite, Dewott outspeeds everything except Simisear, with Eviolite Servine's Leaf Blade is not a 2HKO while Dewott's Return is, Tranquill is 2HKOed by Water Pulse or Razor Shell and can't really do anything, Simisear is faster but OHKOed by Water Pulse and also doesn't threaten Dewott in any way, only crits from Leaf Blade and Air Cutter or status moves in Leech Seed and Lick could be annyoing,
Performance: S/A-tier

Cheren 2:
level 33, Dewott carries the Eviolite, Dewott outspeeds everything except Cinccino, Stoutland is 2HKOed by Razor Shell but if it has Intimidate then Dewott has to settle for the Water Pulse 3HKO, Stoutland doesn't do much in return, Cinccino is very dangerous with Sing, Wake-Up Slap and Bullet Seed, Water Pulse 2HKOs it but if the AI chooses correctly then the 1v1 can go sour, Watchog is OHKOed by Razor Shell if Dewott was not intimidated by Stoutland before, Water Pulse 2HKOs otherwise, it can only be annoying with status moves,
Performance: B-tier

Colress 2:
level 33, Dewott carries the Eviolite, Dewott is faster than everything, Magneton is OHKOed by Dig unless it has Sturdy, if it has it though it can be quite annoying with status moves, Dewott can take its Thunder Shock decently well though, Klink can't really do anything and its OHKOed by Dig as well, Elgym is 2HKOed by Razor Shell while its attacks are weak,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Swoobat is faster and can be really annoying with Heart Stamp and Attract, Acrobatics does solid damage too, Mystic Water boosted Surf OHKOs it, Swanna also outspeeds Samurott and is only 3HKOed by Return, its Air Slash does a lot of damage and the flinch chance is nasty, Samurott at needs 1 Hyper Potion at least to 1v1 it, probably more though, Skarmory is no threat and 2HKOed by Surf, a lot more RNG in this fight than one would like,
Performance: B/C-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41/42, Samurott outspeeds everything except Serperior, Unfezant is 2HKOed by Surf (it is an OHKO with Mystic Water), Serperior is really dangerous, Leaf Blade is doing over half, Expert Belt boosted Megahorn is an OHKO but if it uses Coil it could get sketchy, Simisear is outsped and OHKOed by Surf,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44/45, Samurott outspeeds the Poison types but is faster than the Ice types, with Mystic Water Razor Shell is an OHKO on Cryogonal, Megahorn OHKOs Sneasel, Samurott doesn't really fear anything from both, Cryogonal always goes for Light Screen first, Golbat is 2HKOed by Razor Shell and Garbodor is KOed after Serperior's Leaf Blade due to Weak Armor, overall very good matchup,
Performane: S-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Samurott only outspeeds Druddigon, it has to rely on Blizzard a lot in this battle which is very inconsistent even with Wide Lens, Druddigon is a roll for an OHKO with Expert Belt, otherwise it is a 2HKO with Surf, Flyon is OHKOed, Samurott can take the attacks of both okay, Haxorus is also only 2HKOed and its Dragon Tail hurts a lot and of course also switches Samurott out, there is a lot of flucuation in this battle, if you are a god and hit all Blizzards, then its pretty solid, but it can also go very wrong,
Performance: B-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48/49, Samurott is slower than everything but does very well, Aqua Tail OHKOs the Cryogonal and Megahorn OHKOs Weavile, Samurott also doesn't take much damage for anything, even Weavile's Night Slash is only a 4HKO, Cryogonal can be annoying with Confuse Ray and Reflect though,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Samurott outspeeds everything, Carracosta is 2HKOed by Surf and is still slower even after a Shell Smash, Wailord is sadly barely not 2HKOed by Megahorn, so you have to settle for a 3HKO with any other move like Surf, neither one of those first two Pokemon poses any threat as they won't use Scald against a Water type and their other attacks are all weak, Jellicent is the real headache, normally Samurott has no good way of hitting Jellicent because of its bad coverage, but it can get past it with some spicy tech, if you equip a Hard Stone or Rare Bone and use Fling, then Samurott can 2HKO Jellicent with Dig into Fling, as Fling will be a 100 base power physical Dark move, Samurott has to resort to this gimmick because it has no other option to beat Jellicent, Megahorn's accuracy can also be annyoing against Wailord but Samurott is never really in any danger, it would just takes longer,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Samurott outspeeds the Grunt Pokemon but is slower than the Ice types, Aqua Tail and Megahorn OHKO everything except Scolipede, Serperior can OHKO either Cryogonal or Liepard on turn 1 and Samurott takes out the other one with Aqua Tail, same for the second Cryogonal and Watchog, Weavile needs Megahorn and Scolipede is 2HKOed by Aqua Tail or Surf, Wide Lens is a good item for this fight,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Samurott is slower than everything, Aqua Tail OHKOs everything, Cryogonal can be annoying with Confuse Ray or Reflect, Samurott can take all takes well but being slower against everything sucks,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Smurott outspeeds everything except Klinklang, the flow of the battle depends a lot on if Magneton and Magnezone have Sturdy or not, if not Expert Belt boosted Dig just KOs both, otherwise with a Cheri Berry it can 2HKO Magneton with Surf instead who always goes for Thunder Wave first, Samurott also can live 1 Discharge from Magnezone from full HP, so Surf can also 2HKO it, Samurott then needs a Full Restore against Klinklang whose Thunderbolt is barely not a 2HKO, Surf 2HKOs it back, Metang is freely 2HKOed by Surf as well and is no threat, Beheeyem is OHKOed by Megahorn, this battle can go as smoothly as Samurott only needing the Cheri Berry, but it could also need 1-3 Full Restores, overall still rather solid,
Performance: A-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55, Samurott outspeeds everything except Hydreigon, Cof*grigus can be 2HKOed with Metronome boosted Surfs but Protect can put it out of range, you also want to heal Samurott back to full (ideally on the Protect) before knocking it out, because Samurott needs to tank 1 Thunderbolt from Eelektross to 2HKO it with Surf, Seismitoad and Drapion are then OHKOed by Metronome and Torrent boosted Surf, Hydreigon is faster and its Dragon Rush is a 2HKO, Samurott is also low at this point so you have to use a Hyper Potion, Megahorn is an OHKO back if it uses any other move or misses, Toxicroak is 2HKOed by either Surf or Dig,
Performance: A/B-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Samurott outspeeds everything except Serperior, this is a bit of a sketchy matchup, it can set up a Swords Dance on Unfezant but +2 Aqua Tail doesn't OHKO Bouffanlant without a Water Gem and Samurott can't afford to take heavy damage from Wild Charge as it potentially needs to tank an attack from Serperioir, it is a lot simpler if Unfezant goes for Swagger instead of just U-turning directly into Bouffalant as you can just heal the confusion next turn and have enough attack to OHKO Bouffalant with the need for the gem, either way Samurott can take U-turn + Leaf Blade from full and OHKO Serperior back with +2 Megahorn, even if it goes for Coil instead, Simisear is OHKOed by Aqua Tail or Surf, Unfezant is OHKOed by +2 Aqua Tail, really the only problem in this fight is Bouffalant which forces Samurott to equip the Water Gem, so it can't use the Wide Lens which would be very nice since it can't afford to miss Aqua Tails or Megahorn,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Samurott outspeeds everything, it can very reliably set up 2 Swords Dances on Cof*grigus whose attacks don't do much damage, after 1 Full Restore to cure its burn it OHKOs all four Pokemon with +4 Aqua Tail, Wide Lens is the prefered item becaues of Aqua Tails accuracy,
Performance: S/A-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Samurott wants to set up 2 Swords Dances on Throh which lowers Samurott's speed twice and then gets some good damage off with Storm Throw, +4 Aqua Tail OHKOs it, Mienshao comes in but is OHKOed by +4 Mystic Water boosted Aqua Jet, Conkeldurr comes in and Samurott needs its first Hyper Potion since Conkeldurr is faster and Aqua Jet doesn't kill, Conkeldurr either goes for Hammer Arm, Bulk Up or Stone Edge, the latter is the worst one and would require another Hyper Potion until either Stone Edge misses or Conkeldurr uses another move, Samurott can barely live a +1 Hammer Arm from full and OHKO back with +4 Aqua Tail, if Conkeldurr goes for Hammer Arm it is now slower than -2 Samurott and gets OHKOed by Aqua Tail next turn, Samurott needs another Hyper Poion against Sawk but does 2HKO it then with Aqua Jet,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58/59, Samurott is slower than Liepard but can set up 2 Swords Dances against it with 1 Hyper Potion, Attract could potentially be annoying though, at +4 (or +3) Aqua Jet OHKOs Liepard and Krookodile, Scrafty and Bisharp are slower and OHKOed by Aqua Tail, really not much can go wrong here unless Attract RNG has it out for you but Samurott has multiple chances to break through,
Performance: A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Samurott outspeeds everything, it can set up 1 Swords Dance on Musharna and then OHKO it with +2 Megahorn before it can set up Reflect (it always uses Yawn turn 1), Samurott needs 1 Full Heal against Gothitelle to wake up but it can take 1 Thunderbolt, Gothitelle and Reuniclus are OHKOed by +2 Megahorn, Sigilyph is OHKOed by +2 Aqua Tail, equipping a Chesto Berry seems tempting to save the Full Heal turn but because Samurott needs to use so many inaccurate moves it is better to use the Wide Lens,
Performance: S/A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Samurott outspeeds Lapras, Druddigion and Aggron but is slower than the rest, Hydreigon's Dragon Pulse is a 2HKO and Megahorn into Aqua Jet doesn't 2HKO, so it has to set up a Swords Dance with Sitrus Berry and then OHKO it turn 2 with +2 Megahorn but Samurott will be left at low health, Lapras comes in and +2 Megahorn doesn't OHKO while its Thunderbolt does 2HKO, so healing isn't possible, the best Samurott can do is get a heavy hit off and get knocked out, revive it after another team member took Lapras down and baited in Archeops, Aqua Jet brings it into Defeatist range which allows Samurott to set up 2 Swords Dances on it with 1 Hyper Potion, it can finish off Archeops with another Aqua Jet, at +4 Druddigon and Aggron are OHKOed by Megahorn and Aqua Tail, Haxorus goes for Dragon Dance since Samurott is outside KO range, +4 Megahorn first brings it down to its Focus Sash, after Iris uses her Full Restore, Haxorus gets OHKOed,
Performance: C-tier

Overall battle performance: A-tier
Gym 2 Roxie: level 18, Magby outspeeds everything, Ember 3HKOs both Koffing and Whirlipede, Magby needs a Pecha Berry and 1 Super Potion, Venoshock does decent damage,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 3 Burgh:
level 24, Magby outspeeds everything, Flame Burst OHKOs Swadloon and Leavanny, and 2HKOs Dwebble, with Eviolite its Smack Down only deals around ~30%, clean and fast sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 1:
level 24, Magby outspeeds everything, Flame Burst OHKOs Magnemite (well brings it down to Sturdy) and 2HKOs Klink while they can't do much in return, especially with Eviolite, with a Cheri Berry this fight gets even easier,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 30/31, Magmar speed ties with Emolga, outspeeds Flaaffy and is slower than Zebstrika, Emolga and Flaaffy (on the Volt Switch) are 2HKOed by Flame Burst, Zebstrika is 2HKOed by Flame Burst into Fire Punch, with Eviolite Magmar can take Emolga's and Zebstrika's hits very well,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Magmar is faster than everything and even still outspeeds Krokorok and Sandslash at -1, Magmar misses the OHKO on Krokorok even with Charcoal, its Bulldoze does big damage and makes it slower than Excadrill, even if Magmar uses the Air Ballon to avoid Bulldoze, Krokorok's Crunch still does half and Flame Burst or Fire Punch also misses the OHKO on Excadrill, Eviolite also doesn't help much as the speed drop is the most problematic issue, still it can at least take down Krokorok and do big damage to Sandslash or Excadrill,
Performance: D/E-tier

Hugh 3:
level 33, Magmar outspeeds everything, Servine is OHKOed by Flame Burst, Tranquil is OHKOed with Charcoal boosted Fire Punch and Simisear is 3HKOed by Faint Attack, neither Pokemon threatens Magmar in any way,
Performance: S/A-tier

Cheren 2:
level 33, Magmar outspeeds and OHKOs everything, with Charcoal, Stoutland is 2HKOed by Flame Burst, and Cinccino and Watchog are OHKOed by Fire Punch unless Stoutland has Intimidate, the latter two could be annoying with status moves in that case,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 2:
level 33, Magmar outspeeds and OHKOs everything unless Magneton has Sturdy, Fire Punch for Magneton and Klink and Faint Attack for Elgyem, if Magneton has Sturdy it can be annyoing with status moves,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39/40, Swoobat is faster and can be really annoying with Attract and Heart Stamp, Acrobatics also does decent damage but Flame Body can help, Expert Belt boosted Thunder Punch OHKO is, Swanna is also faster and its Bubble Beam does over half but Magmar should be able to tank one after Swoobat, Thunder Punch OHKOs it, if Swanna used Feather Dance then Thunder Punch still 2HKO even through the Sitrus Berry, Skarmory is no threat and is 2HKOed by Lava Plume (or even OHKOed if you get the burn),
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41/42, Magmar outspeeds everything except Serperior, Unfezant is 2HKOed by Thunder Punch and Simisear is 3HKOed by it, Serperior is 2HKOed by Lava Plume, neither Pokemon does much damage to Magmar, 1 Hyper Potion might be needed,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44/45, Magmar outspeeds the Poison types but is slower than the two Ice types, Fire punch OHKOs Cryogonal and Sneasel, Golbat and Garbodor are 2HKOed by Psychic with Light Screen up, how efficient this fight is depends a lot on what Serperior does, Magmar is not really in danger but if they all target it for attacks then 1 Hyper Potion might be needed,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Magmar outspeeds everything except Haxorus, Druddigon and Flygon are 2HKOed by Dual Chop but Magmar is taking heavy damage from Rough Skin and Rock Slide/Earth Power, Haxorus is not even 2HKOed and its attacks just deal too much damage, without Dual Chop this matchup is even worse,
Performance: D/E-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 49, Magmar outspeeds the two Cryogonal but is slower than Weavile, Fire Punch OHKOs everything, Weavile's Night Slash does almost half but it too is simply OHKOed, not much more to say easy 3 turn sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Magmar outspeeds everything, the strategy is equipping Metronome and spamming Thunder Punch, Carracosta almost always goes for Shell Smash turn 1 and Thunder Punch 2HKOs with Metronome after the defense drop, sadly there is a small chance that Carracosta lives the second Thunder Punch or that it goes for Scald turn 1, both of which mean game over for Magmar's sweep attempt, luckily those were rare in my testing, Wailord is 2HKOed by Thunder Punch and Magmar can take 1 Scald from full (which it should still be at), after Marlon spends his Hyper Potion Wailord goes down and the incomming Jellicent is OHKOed by Metronome boosted turn 6 Thunder Punch, the matchup is not completely consistent as it depends on the Carracosta turns but Magmar can also simply sweep, Expert Belt does worse here as Magmar does not enough damage to Jellicent with it,
Performance: B-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 53, Magmortar outspeeds the Grunt's Pokemon but is slower than the Ice types, Magmortar simply OHKOs everything with Flamethrower, Serperior usually takes out the two Cryogonal with Leaf Blade, the only turn where a double KO doesn't occur is when the last two Pokemon, Weavile and Scolipede, are out, still a really good matchup,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Magmortar is slower than everything, the Cryogonal can be annoying with screens and Confuse Ray but they are still OHKOed by Fire Punch even through Reflect, Weavile is OHKOed by Flamethrower but it turns in just a 2HKO with Light Screen up, its Night Slash also deals a lot of damage, overall just a few too many stumbling stones,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Magmortar is faster than everything except Klinklang, Flamethrower OHKOs both Magneton and Magnezone unless they have Sturdy, if they do Magmortar can break their Sturdy with Thunder Punch first, Cheri Berry gives a free turn against Magneton and Magmortar can take 1 Discharge from Magnezone decently, afterwards it can easily cure itself to full with 1 Full Restore against Metang whose Rock Slide is not a 2HKO, Flamethrower also OHKOs Metang and Klinklang, Beheeyem is 2HKOed by Fire Punch, overall super safe and fast sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55, Magmortar outspeeds everything except Drapion and Hydreigon, it can 2HKO Cof*grigus, Eelektross and Drapion with Charcoal boosted Flamethrower, Toxicroak is OHKOed by Psychic, Hydreigon is 2HKOed by Dual Chop, unfortunately Drapion and Hydreigon have strong physical moves like Earthquake and Rock Slide that hit is way too hard, there is also Seismitoad that just totally walls Magmortar and easily OHKOs or 2HKOs it with Earthquake or Muddy Water, half of this team is decent for Magmortar and the other half is pretty bad,
Performance: C-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Magmortar outspeeds everything except Serperior, sketchy matchup, Unfezant has a chance to be OHKOed by Fire Blast or Magmortar can 2HKO it wit Rock Slide, Bouffalant is a massive problem, Fire Blast is the only move that can 2HKO it and its Head Charge and Earthquake nearly OHKOs Magmortar, Simisear's Rock Slide also 2HKOs Magmortar while its Rock Slide is also only a 2HKO back, so Magmortar doesn't really have an oppurtunity to heal up from Bouffalant, Serperior can't do much and is OHKOed by Fire Blast, overall pretty inconsistent, if Unfezant gets an attack off, then Magmortar is in range of Bouffalant, Magmortar has to rely on burns or flinches somewhat and also has to hit all of its inaccurate attacks (use the Wide Lens), not great,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Magmortar outspeeds everything, Magmortar needs both Sunny Day and Metronome to get past Golurk, it can set up Sunny Day on Cof*grigus and then first knock it down into healing range with the first Flamethrower, as Shauntal uses her Full Restore so should you as Magmortar needs the health for later, the next Flamethrower OHKOs Cof*grigus, Golurk then goes down to a sun and Metronome boosted turn 3 Flamethrower, Drifblim and Chandelure are 2HKOed by Rock Slide, Magmortar can tank one attack from each without going down, but Chandelure's Shadow Ball hurts, Magmortar needs a decent amount of support here and the sweep is also kind of slow,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58, Magmortar outspeeds everything except Miesnshao but at -1 speed Sawk is faster as well, Throh can be 2HKOed by Psychic but its Bulldoze will get off some solid damage and slows Magmortar down for Sawk, sadly even with Metronome, Conkeldurr is barely not OHKOed by turn 3 Psychic and takes out Magmortar with Hammer Arm or Stone Edge, the matchup against the other two is not much better, Mienshao is faster and does 75%+ with High Jump Kick, Sawk's Brick Break and Rock Slide are also 2HKOs, all Magmortar can hope to do in this fight is knock out Throh and get a big hit off on Conkeldurr,
Performance: D-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58, Magmortar outspeeds Bisharp and Scrafty but is slower than Liepard and Krookodile, Liepard can be annyoing with Attract or do solid damage with Night Slash but is OHKOed by Charcoal boosted Flamethrower, sadly Krookodile just comes in, outspeeds and OHKOs Magmortar with Earthquake, there really isn't anything Magmortar can do so choose another Pokemon for Krookodile and bring Magmortar back in later, Bisharp is outsped and OHKOed by Flamethrower, Scrafty's Rock Tomb hurts a lot but Magmortar is still faster at -1 speed so it can 2HKO Scrafty with Charcoal boosted Flamethrower,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Magmortar outspeeds everything, the strategy is equipping Metronome, setting up sun and then spamming Flamethrower, it can set up reliable on Musharna with 1 Full Heal, it is 2HKOed by sun boosted Flamethrower, on the last sun turn Magmortar will knock Reuniclus down to healing range, its Psychic does do half to Magmortar though, Metronome boosted Flamethrower is now going to 2HKO Reuniclus even outside sun while Caitlin uses her Full Restore, Gothitelle is barely not OHKOed by Metronome boosted Flamethrower but it will be 2HKOed even if it uses Calm Mind, Magmortar should still be at high enough health to take 1 neutral Psychic from Gothitelle but if Musharna used Charge Beam and Renuniclus got a high Psychic roll, then 1 Hyper Potion might be needed (neutral Psychic from Gothitelle is not a 2HKO and healing items don't reset the Metronome counter), after Gothitelle goes down Sigilyph is easily OHKOed by Flamethrower now,
Performance: A/B-tier

Champion Iris:
level 58/59, Magmortar outspeeds the slower half of Iris' team but not the fast half, Magmortar just doesn't have enough longevity in this fight, with Expert Belt it can 2HKO every Pokemon but it is also taking more than half from every Pokemon, so at best it can take down 1.5 Pokemon before it needs to be revived again, its typing just doesn't do it any favours here,
Performance: E-tier

Overall battle performance: B-tier
Gym 3 Burgh: level 25/26, Gigalith is faster than Swadloon but outsped by the other two Pokemon, Rock Blast simply OHKOs every Pokemon (even Dwebble through Sturdy), Leavanny is the only Pokemon that needs 3 hits, Gigalith is also only 3HKOed from Leavanny's Razor Leaf, so it can afford to miss one, Rock Blast does have some RNG associated with it but overall still a pretty good matchup,
Performance: S/A-tier

Colress 1:
level 25, Gigalith is faster than both Pokemon and can 2HKO them with Rock Smash while not really fearing anything from them, Magnet Bomb and Gear Grind barely do any damage, Magnemite is going for Thunder Wave anyway, even easier with a Cheri Berry,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 30/31, Gigalith is slower than everything, Rock Slide OHKOs Emolga and 2HKOs Flaaffy and Zebstrika, the Wide Lens is good for hitting multiple Rock Slides but Leftovers is also nice since the Volt Switches of each Pokemon does around 30% which does stack up, 1 Hyper Potion will probably be needed,
Performance: A/B-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Gigalith is slower than everything, what is weird in this battle is that no Pokemon uses Bulldoze against Gigalith (I assume its because the AI thinks Gigalith is already slow enough to be outsped, completely ignoring the type advantage), so it is really easy to set up to +6 defenes with Iron Defense against Krokorok and Sandslash whose other attacks do barely any damage, Krokorok is 2HKOed by Rock Smash, Sandslash and Excadrill will have to be chiped down by Strength and Rock Smash, Leftovers is a useful item in this battle, it is a rather safe sweep but it takes forever, especially if Krokorok has Intimidate and uses Torment, 1 Hyper Potion might also be needed,
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 3:
level 34, Gigalith is slower than everything, Servine has a chance to live one Rock Slide without Hard Stone and can also be annoying with Leech Seed or STAB Grass moves, nothing major though and Gigalith completely walls and OHKOs Simisear and Tranquil with Rock Slide,
Performance: A-tier

Cheren 2:
level 34, Gigalith is slower than everything, it walls most things completely, Stoutland is 2HKOed by Rock Slide, and Cinccino and Watchog are OHKOed by it unless Stoutland has Intimidate, status moves from the latter two can be annoying though,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 2:
level 34, Magneton is faster and its Mirror Shot does over half but Gigalith can OHKO or 2HKO it with Bulldoze as it outspeeds it at -1, its status moves could be annoying though, Klink and Elgyem are outsped and OHKOed by Bulldoze and Rock Slide,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39, Gigalith is slower than everything, it is useful to set up 1 Iron Defense against Swoobat who can be very annoying with Attract and Heart Stamp, Rock Slide OHKOs it (equip the Wide Lens for this fight), Skarmory's Steel Wing doesn't do too much at +2 defense and Rock Slide 3HKOs it (Smack Down into 2 Bulldoze is also a 3HKO), Gigalith needs 1 Hyper Potion before it knocks out Skarmory though as Swanna's Bubble Beam is doing over half, Rock Slide OHKOs it and if it went for Feather Dance then Rock Slide still 2HKOs it even through the Sitrus Berry, Gigalith's low speed is really felt in this fight,
Performance: B/C-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41/42, Gigalith is slower than everything, Unfezant and Simisear are walled and OHKOed by Rock Slide, Serperior is pretty dangerous though, Rock Slide is not a 2HKO while Leaf Blade is and if it starts to use Coil, then its all over, not really anything Gigalith can do about it,
Performance: A/B-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44, Gigalith is slower than everything, Cryogonal and Golbat are OHKOed by Rock Slide (equip the Wide Lens), after Leaf Blade Gigalith's Rock Slide or Bulldoze knocks out Sneasel and 2HKOs Garbodor, Gigalith is pretty much invincible during this fight,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Gigalith is slower than everything, Druddigon can't do much damage and is 2HKOed by Bulldoze into Rock Slide (Gigalith is faster at -1), Flygon is a total brick wall for Gigalith, Earth Power is a clean 2HKO and nothing Gigalith has can even 2HKO Flygon, hopeless matchup, Gigalith is decent against Haxorus though, Rock Slide into Stone Edge 2HKOs it while Haxorus can't do much back unless it Dragon Tails Gigalith out,
Performance: D-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48/49, Gigalith is slower than everything, Rock Slide OHKOs everything, the Cryogonal are even OHKOed through Reflect, Confuse Ray can be annoying but otherwise Gigalith doesn't take much damage from anything,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Gigalith is slower than everything except Carracosta, this matchup is just horrible, with Soft Sand equipped Gigalith can at least 2HKO Carracosta with Bulldoze if it doesn't burn it with Scald, but Wailord and Jellicent just come in and KO Gigalith with no counterplay,
Performance: F-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Gigalith is slower than everything, Gigalith knocks out everything with Rock Slide (use the Wide Lens), Reflect or Confuse Ray could theoretically be an issue but Serperior does usually either knock them out with Leaf Blade before they can act or draws Ice Beams onto itself if it knocks out the other Pokemon, Rock Slide OHKOs everything, even the neutral targets if their partner is knocked out, this battle can be over in 4 turns,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Gigalith is slower than everything, Gigalith goes second and OHKOs everything, the Cryogonal are OHKOed by Rock Slide even through Reflect and Weavile is also OHKOed by Stone Edge through Reflect, the Cryogonal don't tend to use Ice Beam right away and instead go for Confuse Ray, which can be annoying,
Performance: S/A-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Gigalith is slower than everything, Gigalith's just has horrible type matchups in this fight, Magneton and Magnezone knock it down to Sturdy with Flash Cannon, and Metang's Meteor Mash, Beheeyem's Engery Ball and Klinklang all deal big damage, with Bulldoze Gigalith can at least take down Magneton and also Metang with healing support, maybe do something against Beheeyem but the others just knock it out, could be worse but certainly not a good matchup,
Performance: D/E-tier

Ghetsis:
level 53/54, Gigalith is slower than everything except Cof*grigus, Wide Lens is a must in this fight, Cof*grigus is 2HKOed by Stone Edge, Seismitoad is simply an unwinable matchup as its Muddy Water cleanly 2HKOs Gigalith while it can't do much back, Gigalith is barely not 2HKOed by Eelektross, Drapion, Toxicroak and Hydreigon, so with a lot of healing support it can 2HKO all of them with Rock Slide and Bulldoze, the big amount of needed healing items and the slow speed really suck here,
Performance: D-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Gigalith is slower than everything, Gigalith can OHKO Unfezant and Simisear with Rock Slide while they can't do much damage back, Bouffalant is 2HKOed by Rock Slide on the switch + Stone Edge but Gigalith also has to take a strong Earthquake in the process, the Serperior matchup is unwinable, Stone Edge is a 2HKO but Giga Drain deals and heals just way too much,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Gigalith is slower than everything except Cof*grigus, this is a though matchup for Gigalith, Cof*grigus is 2HKOed by Stone Edge at least, but Gigalith also wants to set up 2 Iron Defenses on it to be prepared for Golurk, Cof*grigus' Shadow Ball is also doing a good amount of damage (though weirdly it never used Grass Knot which I imagine has to do more), with +4 defense and healing support Gigalith can take Golurk's attacks decently and slowly chip it down twice with Rock Slide and Bulldoze, Chandelure is hopeless unless somehow Gigalith's Sturdy is not broken because Engery Ball cleanly OHKOs it, the matchup against Drifblim is good though, Stone Edge OHKOs it, pretty underwhelming matchup,
Performance: C/D-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58, Gigalith is slower than everything, yeah no way Gigalith is doing anything here, it gets hit hard by any Fighting type attack and neural Bulldozes or Strengths are not going to get the job done, it can't even try to set up Iron Defenses in an attempt to take hits better as Throh has Storm Throh that ignores defense boosts and is a clean 2HKO,
Performance: F-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58, Gigalith is slower than everything, it can set up 3 Iron Defense on Liepard and then OHKO it with Stone Edge, with boosted defense Gigalith can take the attacks from Krookodile, Scrafty and Bisharp much better but any critical hit from any of them just ruins its sweep attempt and knock Gigalith out, Rock Smash is Gigalith's best choice for taking on the last three Pokemon and allow it to 2-3HKO them, pretty risky and long sweep which also requires a decent amount of healing items but at least it is possible,
Performance: D/E-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Gigalith outspeeds Musharna and Reuniclus but is slower than Sigilyph and Gothitelle, it is very important for Gigalith to not be asleep and at full health when Reuniclus comes in, it is best to knock Musharna out with Bulldoze into Rock Slide, using Full Heal, and then knocking it out with another Rock Slide, Reuniclus is 2HKOed by Rock Slide into Stone Edge, if you don't get the flinch then Gigalith can survive Focus Blast thanks to Sturdy, if it is low it needs 1 Hyper Potion against the incomming Sigilyph, if Pokemon are low the enemy AI will always avoid using their STAB moves if possible, so while Sigilyph's Psyhic is a 2HKO on Gigalith, it can survive an Ice Beam into Psychic, Rock Slide OHKOs it, Gigalith needs annother Hyper Potion against Gothitelle, Rock Slide into Stone Edge 2HKOs but so does its Psychic, so Gigalith has to get lucky with move choices and Rock Slide finches after Bulldoze, a sketchy matchup,
Performance: B/C-tier

Champion Iris:
level 58/59, Gigalith is slower than everything, half of Iris' team dunk Gigalith with strong special attacks that it can't take, it also doesn't like the Earthquakes from Aggron and Haxorus, the best Gigalith can do is setting up Iron Defenses on Acheops with healing support and try to take on Aggron and Haxorus with Bulldoze and Rock Slide, pretty sad attempt though,
Performance: E/F-tier

Overall battle performance: B/C-tier
Gym 3 Burgh: level 24/25, Woobat outspeeds everything except Leavanny, Swadloon is OHKOed by Air Cutter, Dwebble and Leavanny are 2HKOed by it and with Eviolite Woobat can take their attacks decently, healing support is probably not required unless it misses an Air Cutter,
Performance: A-tier

Colress 1:
level 25, Woobat is faster than everything but the matchup is horrible. Heart Stamp is its best move to hit the two Steel types at this point which doesn't do a lot of damage, with multiple Super Potions and Eviolite Woobat can muscle through both but its a massive pain and takes forever,
Performance: E/F-tier

Gym 4 Elesa:
level 30/31, Swoobat is faster than everything but will surely be paralysed for most of the battle, it can stack up 3 Amnesia to take the Volt Switches decently with Leftovers but Pursuit from Emolga and Zebstrika is still doing solid damage, Swoobat has Calm Mind but without a special Psychic move yet it isn't worth using as Swoobat only has Air Cutter as a special attack, Heart Stamp is Swoobat's only real attacking move and it is simply too weak, Emolga and Flaaffy are only 3HKOed and Zebstrika easily takes up 10 hits to go down considering Sitrus Berry and Elesa's healing item, with plenty of healing support Swoobat can probably muscle through everything but it is not worth it,
Performance: E-tier

Gym 5 Clay:
level 33, Swoobat outspeeds everything, Krokorok is 2HKOed by Air Slash but its Crunch is also a 2HKO in return, Excadrill completely walls Swoobat and almost OHKOs it from full with Rock Slide, no chance for Swoobat to get past it, Swoobat can 1v1 Sandslash later though as Air Slash also 2HKOs it and it can take its attacks decently well,
Performance: C-tier

Hugh 3:
level 33, Swoobat outspeeds everything, Servine is OHKOed by Air Slash, Simisear and Tranquil are OHKOed, neither one does much in return,
Performance: S/A-tier

Cheren 2:
level 33, Swoobat outspeeds everything, after 1 Calm Mind Swoobat 2HKOs Stoutland with Air Slash and OHKOs Cinccino, Watchog is a roll to be OHKOed by +1 Air Slash, Swoobat isn't threatened much in this fight,
Performance: S/A-tier

Colress 2:
level 33, Swoobat outspeeds everything, a really bad matchup, Magneton completely walls Swoobat, it has to set up multiple Amnesia and Calm Minds but with two status moves from Magneton it will still likely not win the 1v1, the matchup against Klink and Elgyem is better but still not very efficient,
Performance: E-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39/40, Skyla's Swoobat speed ties mine but otherwise it outspeeds the other two Pokemon, Skyla's Swoobat is 2HKOed by Air Slash but does do solid damage back with its physical attacks and can also be annoying with Attract, Swanna's Air Slash does do good damage, Swoobat can Calm Mind once or twice to 2HKO it with its own Air Slash, Skarmory's Steel Wing also does solid damage, at +2 Air Slash 2HKOs it, at least 1 Hyper Potion is needed for this fight, Sharp Beak can help with some ranges,
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41/42, Swoobat outspeeds everything except Serperior, Unfezant and Simisear don't do much damage and are 2HKOed by Psychic, Serperior is faster but its Slam is weak and Air Slash 2HKOs it, not much that can go wrong here,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 44/45, Swoobat is faster than everything except Sneasel, the matchup is sketchy because of the Ice types, Acrobatics is not an OHKO on Cryogonal and its Ice Beams OHKOs Swoobat, or it sets up Light Screen which is also bad, Golbat and Garbodor are OHKOed with Expert Belt boosted Psychics though, Sneasel also does good damage to Swoobat, but in the end it really depends on what Cryogonal does turn 1, Swoobat could use Flying Gem to knock it out but then you don't have that item for later,
Performance: B/C-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48, Swoobat is faster than everything but the matchup is really bad, it needs 1 Calm Mind to 2HKO Druddigon and Flygon and even more to 2HKO Haxorus, meanwhile Druddigon's Crunch is easily doing over half (especially if it has Sheer Force) and Flygon's Cruch or Rock Slide also do a ton, Haxorus also demolishes it, Swoobat is just too frail and weak to get anything done, it likely won't even knock out Druddigon,
Performance: F-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 49, Swoobat outspeeds and OHKOs the two Cryogonal with Acrobatics, but Weavile is faster and Night Slash does 90% while Acrobatics only does half, no nuance in this battle, Swoobat does get 2 KOs and does half to Weavile but then it goes down,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Swoobat outspeeds everything but this is a bad matchup, Carracosta's Smack Down or Crunch both do over half, Energy Ball can knock it out after Sturdy but Swoobat will be left at low enough health that it can't set up Calm Minds against Jellicent anymore as Brine just knocks it out even at +1, even if Swoobat uses Metronome and Charge Beam and gets the special attack raise twice, it still only does half to Jellicent before it knocks Swoobat out, the Wailord matchup is also not good because of Amnesia and Rollout, Swoobat will knock out Carracosta and then maybe get some damage off but that is it,
Performance: D/E-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52, Swoobat outspeeds everything except Weavile, Acrobatics OHKOs the Cryogonal and Scolipede, Liepard is a roll for the OHKO, Watchog and Weavile are only 2HKOKed, Weavile is faster however and its Night Slash is nearly an OHKO from full, if Liepard lives and gets a Night Slash off it also does over half,
Performance: B-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53/54, Swoobat outspeeds everything, Acrobatics has a good chance to OHKO the Cryogonal and is a 2HKO on Weavile, sadly Weavile's Night Slash is a clean OHKO and if one of the Cryogonal survives it can also OHKO Swoobat with Ice Beam, even Confuse Ray or Reflect can be bad, sketchy,
Performance: B-tier

Colress 3:
level 53, Swoobat outspeeds everything but that doesn't help it much because it just gets destroyed by everything, it is completely walled by all the Steel types without a coverage move to hit them and their supper-effective attacks just deal way too much damage or outright OHKO it, Calm Mind can't save Swoobat here, even the 1v1 Beheeyem is not as good as it looks,
Performance: F-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55/56, Swoobat outspeeds everything, it can set up Calm Minds decently well on Cof*grigus while it wastes turns with Toxic and Protect, +2 is enough to not be 2HKOed by Shadow Ball anymore, with the help of about 2 Full Restores Swoobat gets to +4 at which point Swoobat sweeps, +4 Shadow Ball OHKOs Caf*grigus, +4 Psychic OHKOs Eelektross, Seismitoad and Toxicroak, but be careful to heal out of Sucker Punch range against the latter, Hydreigon is OHKOed by Flying Gem boosted +4 Air Slash, Drapion is also OHKOed by +4 Air Slash, so this matchup can go shockingly well, Cof*grigus doesn't start out with Shadow Ball like ever, so the setup is decently consistent, crits and special defense drops can ruin it of course, the 5% miss chance of Air Slash can also cost you, but overall not too bad,
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57, Swoobat outspeeds everything except Serperior, this is not a good matchup though, Unfezant and Simisear need 1 Calm Mind to be 2HKOed by Psychic, Simisear especially has strong attacks that hit Swoobat hard, Bouffalant is also a hopeless matchup, even +1 Flying Gem boosted Air Slash only does half, meanwhile its Head Charge cleanly OHKOs Swoobat, at least the Serperior 1v1 is solid, +1 Air Slash 2HKOs,
Performance: C/D-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Swoobat outspeeds everything but that does it little good, it can't safely set up against anything as even the Ghost STAB moves from the weakest two, Cof*grigus and Drifblim, does 75%+ damage while Shadow Ball doesn't even come close to 2HKOing them, if you really want to you can grab one KO with +1 Ghost Gem boosted Shadow Ball but that is just a waste,
Performance: F-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58, Swoobat outspeeds everything but at -1 it becomes slower than Sawk and Mienshao, Throh's Rock Tomb does decent damage but the speed drop sucks a lot more, Psychic or Air Slash 2HKO it, sadly Conkeldurr does not get OHKOed by Psychic even with Metronome, Stone Edge OHKOs Swoobat, Swoobat ideally needs an Air Slash flinch on both Throh and Conkeldurr which is unlikely, Sawk can also do big damage in return with Payback or Rock Slide depening if it is faster or not, the Mienshao matchup is pretty solid though, Psychic OHKOs it, it is best to use Swoobat to OHKO Throh and get big damage off on Conkeldurr (or even OHKO it too if you get the flinch), and then revive Swoobat later for Mienshao, not a high praise but at least it can do solid work overall,
Performance: B/C-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58, Swoobat outspeeds everything but even if it has Signal Beam, it still would be a horrible matchup as its too weak and frail to KO anything before it gets knocked out, it could maybe take down Liepard and Scrafty with some luck or item support but it has nothing for Bisharp and Krookodile who just KO it,
Performance: F-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Swoobat outspeeds everything, it just needs to set up 2 Calm Minds to sweep with Metronome boosted Shadow Ball, Musharna is very safe to set up on and it can't get out of hand with Charge Beam because of Swoobat's Unaware ability, Swoobat has to time it so that it knocks out Musharna while not being sleepy which does cost a few turns and healing items, Musharna is 2HKOed by +2 Shadow Ball and everything else is OHKOed by Metronome boosted Shadow Ball afterwards, pretty safe and consistent sweep but the setup time is a bit long,
Performance: A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Swoobat outspeeds everything, it can somewhat safely set up Calm Minds on Hydreigon, after 1 boost its Dragon Pulse is no longer a 2HKO, though any critial hit OHKOs Swoobat, Swoobat has to go all the way to +6 with multiple Hyper Potions and even still needs Sharp Beak to OHKO Hydreigon with Air Slash, after that the sweep is easy though, Lapras and Aggron are OHKOed by Engery Ball and Archeops and Druddigon are OHKOed by Psychic, Haxorus is brought down to its Focus Sash first and after Iris uses her Full Restore, it is OHKOed afterwards, Haxorus always goes for Dragon Dance too since it can't KO Swoobat even from just half HP, the chance to not get crit once during so many setup turns is not low, so this is pretty slow and inconsistent,
Performance: C-tier

Overall battle performance: C-tier
Gym 5 Clay: level 33, Zoroark outspeeds everything, even at -1, Zoroark can transform into something that discourages Krokorok from using Bulldoze, Return or Dig 2HKOs it, Sandslash is sadly only 3HKOed by Night Slash or Foul Play, it therefore has a good chance to win the 1v1 with speed drops from Bulldoze and defense drops from Crush Claw, Excadrill is 3HKOed by Dig but Zoroark can not afford to take that many hits from it and therefore can't beat it,
Performance: B/C-tier

Hugh 3:
level 33, Zoroark outspeeds everything, after setting up 1 Hone Claws it OHKOs everything with Night Slash, easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Cheren 2:
level 33, same as Hugh, Zoroark outspeeds everything, after setting up 1 Hone Claws it OHKOs everything with Night Slash, easy sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 2:
level 33, Zoroark outspeeds everything, Magneton is OHKOed by Dig, if it has Sturdy and tries to Thunder Wave Zoroark you can make use of a Cheri Berry to dodge it, Elgyem and Klink are OHKOed by Night Slash and Dig,
Performance: S/A-tier

Gym 6 Skyla:
level 39/40, Zoroark outspeeds everything, Night Slash OHKOs Swoobat and depening on the rest of your team you can also easily set up 1 Hone Claw using Illusion, Swanna is 2HKOed by +1 Night Slash through its Sitrus Berry, using Illusion you can again manipulate it to use its weaker Bubble Beam if you want, Skarmory is a total roadblock and walls Zoroak to no end, even boosted Night Slash does absolutely nothing, use another Pokemon for Skarmory,
Performance: B-tier

Hugh 4:
level 41/42, Zoroark outspeeds everything, +1 Night Slash 2HKOs Unfezant but its Air Slash does decent damage, Illusion can be helpful for a free turn, Serperior is 2HKOed by +1 Night Slash into Aerial Ace, even if it uses Coil or Mega Drain, still its Leaf Blade does a lot, especially in Overgrowth range, Simisear is OHKOed by +1 Dig,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 1:
level 45, Zoroark outspeeds everything except Sneasel, Black Glasses boosted Night Slash OHKOs Cryogonal, Rock Smash has a chance to OHKO Sneasel, Golbat is 2HKOed by Night Slash and Garbodor is KOed after Weak Armor by Dig, Serperior is often the target of the enemy attacks so Zoroark is pretty safe,
Performance: A-tier

Gym 7 Drayden:
level 48/49, Zoroark outspeeds everything, Foul Play 2HKOs everything (Haxorus is barely not OHKOed) and sadly boosting items like Metronome don't boost Foul Play, also Druddigon's Revenge is a massive problem as it cleanly OHKOs Zoroark, even with Illusion you can't prevent it from sometimes using the move (it used Revenge against my Swoobat Illusion multiple times in testing), Flygon is better because Earth Power is not a 2HKO, Haxorus will cleanly knock out Zoroark if its chipped or phaze it out with Dragon Tail, overall just a very sketchy matchup, there is not a small chance that Zoroark just dies turn 1 without knocking out anything,
Performance: D/E-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 48/49, Zoroark outspeeds everything, the two Cryogonal are OHKOed by Night Slash, Weavile is also OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Rock Smash, clean sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51/52, Zoroark outspeeds everything, its ability did wonders here, disguising Zoroak as Virizion did bait Carracosta and Wailord into Shell Smash and Bounce, Carracosta is 2HKOed by Night Slash, Foul Play or Shadow Ball after Shell Smash, Wailord is 2HKOed by +1 Night Slash or Foul Play, Zoroark can easily set up 1 Hone Claws on the Bounce turn, in case Zoroark gets statused 1 Full Restore might be needed, +1 Night Slash cleanly OHKOs Jellicent, pretty safe sweep,
Performance: A-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52/53, Zoroark outspeeds everything, Night Slash OHKOs Cryogonal while Serperior OHKOs Liepard with Leaf Blade, Night Slash then 2HKOs Scolipede and Serperior takes out the second Cryogonal, Weavile is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Rock Smash, Watchog is also 2HKOed by Night Slash, Illusion is yet again helpful here,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53/54, Zoroark outspeeds everything, Night Slash has a good chance to OHKO the Cryogonal (it is guaranteed with Black Glasses), Weavile is OHKOed by Expert Belt boosted Rock Smash, but it is probalby better to go for the guaranteed OHKO on the Cryogonals with Black Glasses instead of the OHKO on Weavile since Illusion can get you a free turn,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54/55, Zoroark outspeeds everything, Expert Belt boosted Dig OHKOs both Magneton and Magnezone if they don't have Sturdy, Cheri Berry can get a free turn otherwise, Klinklang is dangerous because it is only 3HKOed with Night Slash into 2 Digs because of Air Balloon but after 1 Shift Gear it outspeeds and OHKOs Zoroark with Gear Grind, maybe Illusion can do something here depending on your team but its tough, the matchup against the last two Pokemon is better, Beheeyem is cleanly OHKOed by Night Slash and Metang is 2HKOed by Dig without doing too much damage back,
Performance: B-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55/56, Zoroark outspeeds everything, it can easily set up 2 Nasty Plots with 1 Full Restore on Cof*grigus and then sweep, +4 Shadow Ball OHKOs Cof*grigus, then Drapion comes in and Zoroark OHKOs it, Seismitoad and Toxicroak with +4 Uproar, with a Silk Scarf Hydreigon is also OHKOed, Eelektross goes down also, very easy sweep but it does require the the tutor move Uproar,
Performance: S/A-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Zoroark outspeeds everything, it has to set up 2 Nasty Plots to sweep, Illusion can bait Unfezant into using Aerial Ace, Zoroark can just barely tank Aerial Ace into U-turn, if Unfezant instead goes for Swagger on turn 2, then it is much safer as 1 Full Restore heals it all the way back up, +4 Charcoal boosted Flamethrower OHKOs Bouffalant, Simisear is OHKOed by boosted Shadow Ball, Serperior and Unfezant are OHKOed by Flamethrower, a bit of a sketchy setup and it also needs the right Illusion because Facade + U-Turn KOs Zororak,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58/59, Zoroark outspeeds everything, it can very safely grab 1 Nastly Plot against Cof*grigus and then simply OHKOs everything with +2 Shadow Ball, the battle is over in 5 turns without any risk,
Performance: S-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58, Zoroark outspeeds everything but it is not enough, it needs multiple Nast Plot boosts to get KOs and Throh is no going to give it that setup time, even with Illusion it can only win one turn and Throh is not even OHKOed by +4 Flamthrower, after one speed drop move Zoroark is also slower than Mienshao who cleanly OHKOs it with High Jump Kick, setup against other Pokemon is not possible and without setup Zoroark is too weak to survive long,
Performance: F-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58/59, Zoroark outspeeds everything, Liepard can't do much except be potentially annyoing with Attract, after 2 Nasty Plots +4 Flamethrower is enough to OHKO everything, easy sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Zoroark outspeeds everything, with a Chesto Berry it can easily set up 2 Nasty Plots against Musharna without any risk, +4 Shadow Ball OHKOs everything afterwards, safe and fast sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 58/59/60, Zoroark outspeeds everything but it is just too fragil and needs too many boosts to sweep, even with a free turn from Illusion, Hydreigon is not even OHKOed by +2 Uproar where its Dragon Pulse is a clean 2HKO, it can't really set up on anything else either unless it can hit Archeops into Defeatist range, plus Haxorus is still waiting in the back with its Focus Sash to clean up Zoroark with an OHKO from X-Scissor, not too much Zoroark can do in this matchup,
Performance: F-tier

Overall battle performance: A/B-tier
Gym 7 Drayden: level 49, Virizion outspeeds everything, it only needs +3 attack to OHKO everything with Sacred Sword, after 2 Swords Dances (or just one Swords Dance if Druddigon decides to go for Crunch and activate Justified) it can sweep, the threat of Druddigon using Dragon Tail is always present but it never used it against Virizion in the few test matches I did,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 2:
level 49, Virizion outspeeds the two Cryogonal and can take an Ice Shard from Weavile, Sacred Sword OHKOs everything, clean sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Gym 8 Marlon:
level 51, Virizion outspeeds everything, after 1 Swords Dance it OHKOs everything with Seed Bomb, Carracosta can't really do anything to Virizion but if you want to be safe you can also equip a Rawst Berry against Scald burns (it doesn't really go for the move though), Wailord and Jellicent never get a turn,
Performance: S-tier

Zinzolin 3:
level 52/53, Virizion outspeeds everything except Weavile, Sacred Sword OHKOs all Pokemon except Scolipede which is 2HKOed by Aerial Ace, Virizion can OHKO Liepard while Serperior knocks out Cryogonal, it can also take out the next Cryogonal while Virizion does over half to Scolipede with Aerial Ace, Weavile is then OHKOed by Sacred Sword and Scolipede soon follows with Aerial Ace, Watchog is also OHKOed either by Sacred Sword or from Serperior's Leaf Blade, Verizion can take the Steamroller and Ice Shard from Scolipede and Weavile well enough,
Performance: S/A-tier

Zinzolin 4:
level 53, Virizion outspeeds and OHKOs everything with Sacred Sword, it can take an Ice Shard from Weavile decently too, clean 3 turn sweep,
Performance: S-tier

Colress 3:
level 53/54, Virizion outspeeds everything, it needs to set up to +2 attack to get the OHKO on Beheeyem with X-Scissor (+4 OHKOs Metang with Sacred Sword), it sadly needs to set up Swords Dance on the Magnet brothers as Beheeyem comes in right after them, but Virizion can actually take Magneton and Magnezon on well even if its paralyed, if they have Sturdy it will also have to break their Sturdy first, X-Scissor is best for this to not get into healing or Explosion range, then before it knocks out Magnezone it needs 1 Full Restore, Beheeyem and Klinklang are then OHKOed by +2 X-Scissor and +2 Sacred Sword, Metang sadly isn't OHKOed by +2 Sacred Sword and there is no itema that would give Virizion a boost here, its Zen Headbutt also hurts, overall still solid but a big slow,
Performance: A/B-tier

Ghetsis:
level 54/55, Virizion outspeeds everything, it can comfortably set up 2 Swords Dances on Cof*grigus and then sweep from there as its Psychic does little damage, +4 Seed Bomb is a roll for an OHKO on Cof*grigus but you could also go for +2 Seed Bomb into +4 Seed Bomb for the KO to not hit it into healing range, 1-2 Full Restores is all Virizion needs to set up, Eelektross, Drapion and Hydreigon are all OHKOed by +4 Sacred Sword, Seismitoad is OHKOed by Seed Bomb and Toxicroak is OHKOed by +4 Aerial Ace, Virizion is never in any danger,
Performance: S/A-tier

Hugh 5:
level 57/58, Virizion outspeeds everything except Serperior, Unfezant is a horrible lead for it as Aerial Ace has a chance to OHKO and Sacred Sword is not even a 2HKO, it is a much better idea to lead with something else that baits Unfezant into U-turning into Serperior and bring Virzion in on that, it can pretty freely set up 2 Swords Dances on Serperior and OHKO it then with Sacred Sword which also ignores any Coil boosts it might has, +4 Sacred Sword is enough to OHKO all other Pokemon, basically it is just this horrible lead that is the main problem, but Virizion can still sweep if brought in later,
Performance: A/B-tier

Elite Four Shauntal:
level 58, Virizion outspeeds everything, it has to equip the Metronome and set up all the way to +6 because it has no coverage moves for this fight, so it has to brute force its way to a sweep, Virizion can set up 3 Swords Dances versus Caf*grigus resonably well, 1-2 Full Restores are needed, a Psychic special defense drop can be really bad though, +6 Seed Bomb OHKOs Cof*grigus, Chandlure and Drifblim are then also OHKOed by +6 Metronome boosted Seed Bomb, Golurk goes down as well of course, Virizion's coverage really sucks here but at least it can still sweep with lots of setup,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Marshal:
level 58/59, Virizion needs to set up multiple Swords Dances but no matter how it sets up it has difficulity sweeping, Throh lowers its speed and needs +4 attack to be OHKOed with Sacred Sword, after -1 speed Mienshoa is faster and the only way to get past it is to counter their Bounce with Virizion's own Bounce to dodge its attack and OHKO it in return, sadly Conkeldurr is not OHKOed by +4 Sacred Sword or Bounce, it is faster than -2 Virizion and likely goes for Bulk Up because +1 Hammer Arm OHKOs Virizion, there really isn't a good way around this issue, it is probably best to just get the damage off on Conkeldurr and revive Virizion later for Sawk, Sacred Sword 2HKOs it but its Brick Break is also very close to doing half, overall Virizion just falls short of a consistent showing,
Performance: B-tier

Elite Four Grimsley:
level 58/59, Virizion outspeeds everything, it OHKOs Liepard and Bisharp with Sacred Sword and can set up a Swords Dance against Scraft, though its Poison Jab can do half, afterwards +2 (or +1) Sacred Sword is enough to OHKO Scrafty and Krookodile as well, very consistent sweep,
Performance: S/A-tier

Elite Four Caitlin:
level 58/59, Virizion outspeeds everything, sadly +4 X-Scissor doesn't OHKO Sigilyph, so Virizion wants to set up 3 Swords Dances on Musharna which it can do very safely with a few Full Heals, +6 X-Sissor OHKOs everything then, Relect could be potentially annoying but Musharna never used it, unfortunate that not even Metronome helps with the OHKO on Sigilyph at +4 which would have made this sweep a decent bit faster,
Performance: A-tier

Champion Iris:
level 59/60, Virizion outspeeds everything except Archeops, it can 2HKO Hydreigon with Sacred Sword but its Flamethrower is close to a 2HKO, Archeops is hopeless as it just outspeeds and OHKOs Virizion with Acrobatics, nothing Virizion can do about that, it can set up again against Lapras later as its Ice Beam is also barely not a 2HKO, +2 Sacred Sword OHKOs it, Druddigon sadly lives it but thankfully its Flamethrower doesn't do too much damage, Dragon Tail can be a pain though, Aggron is OHKOed by Sacred Sword, Haxorus is not 2HKOed by Sacred Sword, so Virizion has enter into the fight with it already set up, overall Virizion is constantly stopped and never really sweeps fully, only comes back every while and does some more damage, not awful but dissapointing,
Performance: C/D-tier

Overall battle performance: A-tier
