Yin and yang are balance. Not to hard to believe that inclusion of a pokemon to throw off balance. Easy if anything.

3rd and 4th gen had their unbalance pokemon.

Rayquaza was more there to balance the two weather Pokémon. Not to unbalance.
 
Get rid of IV's, include a system similar to action RPGs where you gain a specific amount of points per level (One or two or something) Which you distribute manually within parameters, like IVs and EVs, that could vary depending on certain factors if any (Pokemon, abilities, whatever else that would make sense). It'd be like a secondary EV system, but more customizable. Now people get there pokemon's individuality and don't have to breed like mad-men for it either.

My thought.
 
Now I've changed my mind about not spoiling things after the release of the games. Instead of not spoiling everything, I'm going to spoil stuff worth spoiling. I'm not going to spoil the storyline including Gym Leaders and their Pokémon etc., but I might spoil the Pokémon. As there is one week at most between Serebii's coverage and the arrival of my game and I want to know the names! I can't go around not knowing any names. It would drive me crazy.
 
I really just wanna see what Serebii says if the starter evos are fake. That's the only thing I'm gonna spoil for me before I get the game, because I really REALLY hope they're fake so Serebii can take a shitstorm and see how he reacts.

How long does it normally take for games to ship from Japan to the US?
 
I completely agree that the iv system should be simplified. It's the main reason a lot of people prefer using online simulators, including myself. I remember working for days riding my bike around Solaceon Town in Diamond trying to hatch a good Gible, taking my DS everywhere. It was so satisfying when I finally got my Jolly Outrage Gible with 26/30/24/3/16/31 ivs. The point is, breeding is a rewarding challenge for competitive battlers, but getting the perfect poke with the right nature, ability, egg moves, IVs, and even gender is way too difficult. Being forced to hack or manipulate RNG to get a good Pokemon is just feels wrong, especially for a kid's game. Each generation GF gives more notice and hints to IVs and EVs, I think in Black and White there are several options they could implement to make breeding easier.

For one, I think there should be an old woman or man in some town who cryptically tells you the six numbers of your Pokemon's ivs without giving anything away, so kids would just think it's something useless like ID numbers for the lottery. Then we wouldn't have to rely on rare candy hacks and online iv calculators.

Second, I think that since the point of breeding a Pokemon in the Day Care is to breed a high quality, competitive Pokemon, just like breeding Race Horses, that the hatched Pokemon should always have ivs that are higher or equal to it's parents ivs. That way you just keep putting higher and higher quality ones into the daycare and don't have to worry about randomly getting a 3 iv in an important stat when everything else is good. It makes since somewhat, too, that the hatched Pokemon will have the strong traits of it's parents, but usually even improves.

Another good idea someone mentioned earlier is to just have 17 possible ivs, one for each hidden power type. The rumour about how "friendship is now a big part of stats" could also solve the issue. Maybe you can maximize you're Pokemon's ivs simply by maxing out their Happiness. The game characters are always going on about how Pokemon treated with friendship and kindness are the strongest and such, but instead we just dump our loyal in-game team in the pc once we get to the Competitive Post-Elite 4 area.

It depends on where in the states you live, where you order from and what shipment type you choose. Give me those three and I can give you an estimate.

Are you serious? I was staring at Koromori's art for a good minute and I can't bring myself to see it's nose as an eye.

Yeah, I'm serious. I can't see it as a nose. It might be because it's so big or that I've always thought it was an eye. Even when it was beta art.

When it was beta art I saw the nose as the eye too, which is why I initially hated it, because it was so ugly. But now I see the heart as a nose and the two W shaped hairs on the side of it as his eyes, which makes it a little better I guess. Cyclops bat = D:

EDIT: @Maurii: Oh wow you don't know how much that picture of Koromori creeps me out.

No, I still don't see it. It's way too low on it's body to be an eye, and the shaggy things falling over it's eyes are pretty much a dead giveaway to me.
