Pokemon Platinum - The definitive thread.

Do you guys reckon Giratina's original name was supposed to be Giratinum?
What do you mean supposed to be?
Yeah in Japanese they say Puratina for Platinum which implies that the origin of Giratina's name was supposed to be Ghost + Platinum (Puratina ).
Personally, it reminds me of the HP Bar that Shadow Pokemon had in XD/Colosseum.
Wait.. Shadow Pokemon?
Or maybe that HP Bar is just like that for legends. Or inside dark places. Illusions?
Or maybe all Pokemon have that new HP Bar. I dunno - we'll have to wait and see.
It could be that it's just a bar for garintina and the other legendaries, as they've been "corrupted" by Team Galactic.
This battle might be more story tied in than others before it, so they altered the interface for it, and maybe a few others.
Is that even confirmed?
I think the location is the factor here. I'm sure if the other pokemon was out, it would have the same style.
Completely a rumor. There's no corroboration for it whatsoever. Until there's solid proof, you should regard it as a lie, not even a rumor.
i have no idea how accurate this is but it says something about a reference to a japanese magazine and some leaks about platinum including the rumoured ice form of shaymin. maybe not so much of a rumour?

It would be nice if I could get all 3 starters like in yellow. Also if Palkia and Dialga fight and Darkrai appears to stop the fighting similar to the movie.

Until there's a scan that says anything, don't believe it or even pass the message. Don't bring it up because somebody stupid will say, "Well, I read on Smogon that Regigigas has a douche form and learns Gastro Acid while in it." Don't post about it. Don't perpetuate the rumors.

RIGHT NOW, all we know as FACT is:
The game's called Platinum
It's the 3rd in the D/P set of games
There's a new Giratina form that you battle at Spear Pillar in place of Dialga or Palkia
Said Giratina form is featured in the upcoming movie
The main character's outfit is different
The battle screen looks slightly different at one point
It's supposed to come out in Japan later this year
The other world. The beyond.The unexplained. Something that cannot function along the lines of space and time. A dimension not bound to the 2. All that jazz.
The reverse world. Given its location by the grave sites, it could be from the "land of the dead" so to speak.
Sounds quite a bit like Shadow Pokemon from the Gamecube games o.o
I was expecting Mesprit to play a larger role in the remake of D/P, though :( The person dressed up as Cresselia in the movie probably doesn't mean too much. If anything Cresselia should have gotten a big role in the Darkrai movie - it just doesn't seem to fit in as well with Giratina. Then again, they fit Darkrai with Dialga/Palkia, so I guess anything is possible.
