Pokemon Riddle

Ok, I've got a puzzle for everyone. I don't think it'll be easy, but it shouldn't be incredibly hard either. I didn't cross-check with other Pokemon, but I'm almost positive that this is the only solution anyways.

I used libelldra's damage calculator. All damage calculations are rounded up if .5 or higher, down if .49 or lower. All damage dealt is max. Strict damage clause is active.

Both Pokemon are at level 100, no items, neutral nature, and max IVs. Pokemon X has no EVs, but because I have the attention span of a 2-year-old with ADHD, I accidentally used neutral-natured max stats for HP and DEF on Pokemon Y. It has no other EVs.

BATTLE START
Player 1 sent out X!
Player 2 sent out Y!
---
X used A.
It's super effective!
Y lost 35% of its health.
Y used B.
????
???
???
---
X used A.
It's super effective!
Y lost 24% of its health.
Y used C.
It's super effective!
X lost 66% of its health.
???
???
---
X used D.
????
Y used C.
But it missed!
???
???
---
X used A.
It's super effective!
Y lost 41% of its health.
Y fainted.
???
???
X fainted.

This is the only hint I will give: both attacking moves get STAB. Good luck!

*EDIT*
Forgot to mention that all damage dealt is the maximum possible. Sorry. >.>

I know this is not right, since one number doesn't fit lol, but yah, this was the closest I got, and then I realize it's most likely all wrong since not everything fits:

X = Walrein
Y = Probopass
A = Brine
B = Sandstorm
C = Stone Edge
D = Any non-attacking move
E = ... wait there's no E.

Too bad Probopass stone edge only does 58% max even with expert belt. Boo... One # doesn't fit and the whole thing's most likely wrong. haha.

Yeah, sorry, that's not the answer. I will say it's not 100% incorrect, but I'm not saying which parts. :P

Do you mean that one of my numbers doesn't fit, or that one of your's doesn't? I double checked all my calculations so they should be correct...

Lol, I just got another one that's oooooooh so close..

X = Pelipper instead of Walrein
Y = Bastiodon instead of Probopass
A = Brine
B = Sandstorm
C = Stone Edge
D = non-attacking move

... But Pelipper only take 64% from Bastiodon Stone Edge (EDIT: with muscle band, while expert belt does too much)... man, just 2 more % haha. Um, yah, ok, I'll stop with these posts until I actually get the answer now.

EDIT: lol ok actually one last one:

X = Cloyster
Y = Bastiodon
A = Brine
B = Sandstorm
C = Ancient Power
D = Double Team

... but Bastiodon Ancientpower on Cloyster (with no item) is 67%... ... dang so close.

Sorry, still not any closer than your first guess.

I'll give another hint, although this one is much more cryptic/indirect than my first one.

Look at how much X took from Y's attack. Then look at when X died. If you figure out this part of the puzzle, the rest should come easy. Of course, that's IF you figure it out. ;)

*EDIT*
Crap, forgot ANOTHER bit in the riddle's rules. Strict damage clause is being used, if it wasn't obvious.

Hmm, I'm thinking of an idea, but it relies upon the fact that the sand stream ability activated at the begining of the match (but there's no line to it). Does it activate with no line here?

@Edit: umm, never mind. I don't think it'll work anyway ;-)

My thoughts: X lost 66% of it's health aside from dying. The most possible excuse would be taking damage via indirect damage. That leavs 4 turns of indirect damage that needs to result in less than 34% in the first three turns. that means that both types of poison and burn are impossible. Sandstorm and hail need help getting to 34%, and after deep thought, I think the cause of death on the last turn is via the ability Aftermath. Wich means that my suspects are Drifblim and Skuntank. Both are open to Sandstorm and Hail, so something seems wrong...
Also, I think that B = Growl and D = Swords Dance.

You're ice cold. :)

Solar Power + HP Water (only water special moves Sunflora and Tropius can use)? But that doesn't explain the sudden increase in power... Starf berry perhaps? Not enough room though...

Here's my answer:

Ding ding ding, we have a winner! And just in time, too, cause I have to leave for work in five minutes and wouldn't have been back for another 9 hours...

Determine Arceus's type:

All calculations were done with Psypoke's Damage Calculator. Everyone has an IV of 31 across the board, no effort values whatsoever, neutral nature for everyone, maximum damage was dealt at all times, and nobody's holding an item.

…Except Arceus who may or may not be holding a Plate, that is.

Alright, I think I got this.

There is an immunity to a move, so that immediately narrows down Arceus' type to one of the following: Normal, Ghost, Flying, Ground, Dark, and Steel. Judgment was super-effective on Celebi (the only way for Judgment to do 104%), so it must be either Flying, Ghost, or Dark type.

At one point in the battle, Roserade hit Arceus for SE damage during the weather; specifically, Roserade hit for 46%. The only Special moves that Roserade can use to hit these types SE are Shadow Ball, Hidden Power, and Weather Ball. Neither Shadow Ball nor Hidden Power can do 46% damage with the required types unboosted, which only leaves Weather Ball. Weather Ball has only two types for damaging weather: Ice and Rock, both of which conveniently hit Arceus' Flying type for 46% SE damage.

tl;dr: Arceus is Flying-type.

judgement could have gotten a crittical hit on celebi

what does Knoff Off say when used on Arceus? because on shoddy he is immune

judgement could have gotten a crittical hit on celebi
Well, that is possible, but the selling point is Roserade's attack, imo. A base 100 Special attack (or 99 or 101, but those are impossible numbers for Roserade) is needed to do that much damage to Arceus, so Weatherball is the only move it can be using. DP said that the weather was damaging, so it is either Ice or Rock type, which leaves only the Flying and Ground types for Arceus. Ground is resisted by Celebi's Grass type, so even if it crits it won't do 104% to it, which leaves only the Flying type again.

Yes, Arceus is holding the Sky Plate.

Although Celebi was using Energy Ball and not Grass Knot, but that's irrelevant.

I need to plan another one. This seemed too easy.
