SPOILERS! Pokemon Sword and Shield Datamine Thread

  • Flip Turn is eligible for a Technician boost, would be really cool if Grapploct got it.
  • I really need to see the burn chance for Scorching Sands, if its anything like Scald that'll be terrifying.
  • I wonder if Corrosive Gas also melts the user's item? Might be useful on unburden mons if so.
  • Triple Axel seems bad
  • Poltergeist is fascinating. Please give it to Dusknoir and Golurk.
  • Steel Roller is literally a stunt or die move

Mega Aerodactyl might FINALLY get some Flying STAB better than Wing Attack/Aerial Ace.
But megas arent in the game, unless i missed somethin

Well how strong does tripple axel get? Could be a better tripple kick if it doubles each hit. 20, 40, 80. Total 140 bp?

As for corrosive gas, that is interesting, but do any poison pokemon or anyone likely to get it have unburdened?

Poltergiest sounds great but i dont think you can ever use it in game. No one holds items outsode of battle tower right? Otherwise its great for battleing people

If talonflame gets dual wingbeat itd be pretty cool. A flying physical attack that doesnt get rid of gale wings is awesome

Triple axel being bad depends if the move increases in bp in same turn or consecutive use. If its not the latter then itll be pretty decent alternative to icicle crash

Poltergeist sounds ass ingame but broken asf in competitive. I wonder what its distribution will be

If it doesnt remove items either itll be hella broke because everything always uses an item

Ema Skye

Work!
Ground-type Scald also sounds super obnoxious. Giving bulky grounds a way to spread status semi-reliably is just going to be brutal. Like Scald, you can't switch in your status-immunity (Fire-types) because they'll get bopped by the super effective attack.

Fortunately, it's special so a lot of the usual suspects likely won't run it (Hippo with the ability to burn would be bananas).

...if Lando-T gets it upon its return in Tundra...

Probably not, assuming that the target's held item will be consumed after it has been hit by it, so it will good in competitive, but it's not something you can rely on either.

U-Turn moves are so broken fundamentally as a move that many things will just run Flip Turn just because it's that good.

If Pex gets it, expect to see it everywhere in OU; it's not a momentum sink anymore.
Oh god pex with this over scald... or both

yeah but having a pivoting move on a specs set sounds nice
Thats true for sure.

It doesnt say it removes the item, so it should be very good. Is there a list of all the ghost that get this? I bet if shuppet was in it would.

Also what is scorching sands burn chance is, and does Palossand get it? Gonna be transfering over my shiney when i get home tonight and run the dlc with it, and looking forward to using this move over earth power

But you can switch in your Ground immunity, so I don't think it will be nearly as annoying as Scald in practice.

Poltergeist is amazing if it doesn’t remove the opponents item. Unfortunate that dragapult, who really needed it, doesn’t learn it.
