[OVERVIEW]

Porygon-Z is an extremely strong special attacker due to its high Special Attack and Adaptability, capable of OHKOing many key threats in 1v1 such as Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Mega Charizard X. This is also aided by its access to an extremely powerful Hyper Beam; its ability to OHKO most Pokemon eliminates the main drawback of a recharge turn. A mono-Normal typing means that Porygon-Z only has one weakness, but Fighting-types such as Mega Lopunny, Sawk, and Mega Blaziken are dominant forces in the 1v1 metagame, and it also has no resistances and only one immunity, resulting in it having a lack of defensive value. Lastly, because Porygon-Z primarily relies on its Normal-type STAB moves, it is often walled by Normal-resistant and -immune Pokemon such as Magearna and Mega Tyranitar.

Moves
========

Shadow Ball hits most Pokemon neutrally and heavily damages Ghost- and Psychic-types; after a Conversion boost and Adaptability, it can OHKO a majority of the metagame such as Aegislash and Mega Slowbro. Recover enables Porygon-Z to remain healthy throughout a match so it can break bulkier foes and Sturdy users like Donphan and Golem more easily. Nasty Plot is an alternative that boosts Porygon-Z's Special Attack further so it can beat specially bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Mega Venusaur. This can also be run instead of Hyper Beam, but Porygon-Z loses out on the raw power that it offers. Hyper Beam is Porygon-Z's strongest STAB move, capable of OHKOing a majority of the metagame due to its high Base Power when boosted by Adaptability. It can also be turned into a 200-Base Power Breakneck Blitz if the boosts from Z-Conversion aren't required. Conversion changes Porygon-Z's typing to that of its first move in Shadow Ball, providing it with resistances to Bug and Poison and two useful immunities in Normal and Fighting as well as a strong STAB move. When powered up with Normalium Z, it grants Porygon-Z a +1 boost to all its stats. Uproar can be run as an alternative to Recover in order to beat Substitute users such as Jumpluff more reliably, but losing out on the longevity of Recover makes beating bulkier Pokemon harder.

Set Details
========

216 Speed EVs combined with a Timid nature allow Porygon-Z to outspeed Sawk and Mega Metagross as well as slower variants of Mega Charizard X. 212 Defense EVs enable Porygon-Z to survive Mega Charizard X's Flare Blitz or Outrage as well as Mega Gyarados's Waterfall. Adaptability boosts Porygon-Z's Normal-type STAB moves and Ghost-type moves after it has used Z-Conversion, making Hyper Beam even harder to combat and Shadow Ball difficult for neutral targets to take. Normalium Z can be used for a strong Normal-type attack or to grant Porygon-Z a +1 boost to all its stats with Z-Conversion.

Usage Tips
========

Send out Porygon-Z against foes that cannot OHKO it after it has boosted its stats, such as Zygarde. It can then take advantage of this to set up with Z-Conversion and KO them. It can also be sent out against bulkier Pokemon like Mega Slowbro and Primarina and proceed to OHKO or heavily damage with Breakneck Blitz. Porygon-Z should not be sent out if the opponent has a Pokemon that outspeeds and OHKOes it such as Mega Lopunny, as it won't have the chance to set up or KO them. You should also avoid bringing it in against a Sturdy user if it isn't running Recover, as Porygon-Z cannot break Sturdy without taking a hit, and its frailty makes this difficult. If Porygon-Z is facing a foe that it outspeeds and can OHKO without boosts, use Breakneck Blitz from Hyper Beam instead of Z-Conversion because it's an extremely powerful attack capable of OHKOing many neutral targets. Setting up with Z-Conversion is optimal against bulkier Pokemon that Porygon-Z cannot OHKO so it can utilize its boosted Special Attack to net a KO as well as its increased defenses to take hits from them more easily. It can also stall them out with Recover. Be wary of Z-Conversion; while Porygon-Z's new Ghost typing offers resistances, it also offers a weakness to Ghost- and Dark-type moves from Pokemon such as Mega Gengar and Mega Gyarados, which a Normal-typed Porygon-Z can take more easily.

Team Options
========

Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Steel-types if it's unable to set up Z-Conversion due to their resistance to Breakneck Blitz, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C and Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups. Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey. As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross make good partners. Before a Speed boost and without a Choice Scarf, Porygon-Z has an average Speed tier, which faster threats such as Mega Charizard Y can take advantage of to OHKO it before it can attack; pairing it with faster teammates such as Mega Metagross and Mega Lopunny or bulkier Pokemon that can take a hit help deal with this. Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits; thus, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Hyper Beam is Porygon-Z's strongest STAB move, capable of OHKOing a majority of the metagame due to its high Base Power when boosted by Adaptability. Uproar is a secondary STAB option that doesn't have a recharge turn and as such is more reliable; it can break bulkier foes, notably non-Ghost-type Rest users like Mega Slowbro, as well as bypass Substitutes. Ice Beam enables Porygon-Z to hit Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C for the most damage, preventing them from setting up on a free turn granted by recharge, and Trick shuts down defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Mew by locking them into one move and removing their defensive items. Hidden Power Fire can be run to damage Steel-types, but 1v1's main Steel-type threats, mainly Magearna and Mega Aggron, do not take enough damage from it and can OHKO or heavily damage Porygon-Z in return. It can OHKO Genesect and Durant as well as beat Ferrothorn, however.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack EVs in combination with a Modest nature maximize Porygon-Z's offensive capabilities and make it the most threatening it can be. A Choice Scarf and 252 Speed EVs enable Porygon-Z to outspeed most of the unboosted metagame and severely damage most of it before it can attack. Adaptability boosts Porygon-Z's Normal-type STAB moves, making Hyper Beam even harder to combat.

Usage Tips
========

Porygon-Z should not be sent out if the opponent has a Pokemon that walls it such as Magearna or Celesteela, as it struggles to win those matchups. You should also avoid bringing it in against a Sturdy user, as the recharge turn that Hyper Beam has can grant them setup opportunities or a free chance to KO Porygon-Z. Porygon-Z should be brought in against slower Pokemon that it can OHKO, such as Mega Charizard Y. It can also be brought in on some setup users such as Landorus-T and Zygarde due to its ability to OHKO them with Ice Beam. Avoid sending it out against faster Pokemon such as Zeraora and Deoxys-S as well as faster Choice Scarf users due to its vulnerability to strong attacks. It is generally best for Porygon-Z to use Hyper Beam in most matchups due to its high power and ability to hit most Pokemon neutrally. Only lock it into a different move if the foe is not OHKOed or can set up Substitute faster. Porygon-Z can utilize Trick to take advantage of passive foes such as Mew; it can lock them into one move to prevent recovery and wear them down more easily. Avoid bringing it out in front of passive Z-Move users such as Pyukumuku or Mega Evolutions such as Mega Slowbro, as they are immune to Trick. Bulkier offensive Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados cannot be OHKOed by Hyper Beam, so using Uproar to avoid the recharge turn and KO it over two turns is more beneficial.

Team Options
========

Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Rock- and Steel-types due to their resistance to Hyper Beam, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups. Ghost-types wall Porygon-Z and can KO it, so other Ghost-types like Aegislash and Dark-types like Mega Gyarados are good partners to deal with these Pokemon. Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey without relying on Trick to remove its Eviolite and recovery. As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Terrakion make good partners. Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits; thus, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Choice Specs can be used instead of Choice Scarf to increase Porygon-Z's damage output and allow it to OHKO Dragonite with Blizzard, but Z-Conversion secures the same +1 boost without locking Porygon-Z into a move. Z-Conversion Porygon-Z can run both Nasty Plot and Recover, forgoing Shadow Ball or Hyper Beam, but this set is walled by Steel-, Rock-, and Ghost-types. Dark Pulse or Shadow Ball can be run as a fourth move option on the Choice Scarf set for coverage against Ghost-types, with Dark Pulse offering a chance to cause foes to flinch, but they hit less relevant targets than Ice Beam and Hidden Power Fire.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types resist Hyper Beam and Ice Beam and can often tank Hidden Power Fire due to their bulk. Mega Aggron, Magearna, and Celesteela are big threats to Porygon-Z because they can often check or even wall it depending on its set.

**Rock-types**: Rock-types such as Nihilego and Mega Tyranitar resist Hyper Beam and Breakneck Blitz and can often OHKO Porygon-Z back with their STAB moves. Mega Tyranitar also resists Shadow Ball, meaning Z-Conversion sets cannot break past it.

**Ghost-types**: Due to their immunity to Normal, Aegislash and Mega Gengar are only damaged by Shadow Ball, which requires a turn of setup for it to become a STAB option. This means that they can easily wall and shut down Porygon-Z.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Chansey and Mega Venusaur can all take one of Porygon-Z's attacks and either recover HP or inflict it with status. It cannot effectively break them due to Hyper Beam's recharge turn. However, they can all be overwhelmed by Nasty Plot sets.

[OVERVIEW]
- Porygon-Z is an extremely strong special attacker due to its high Special Attack, capable of OHKOing many key threats in 1v1 such as Tapu Lele, Naganadel, and Mega Charizard Y.
- Its access to Adaptability bolsters its offensive presence, allowing it to become a key offensive threat. This is also aided by its access to an extremely powerful Hyper Beam; its ability to OHKO most Pokemon eliminates the main drawback of a recharge turn.

- Add something about Z-Move Porygon Z countering many Pokemon it is walled by, like Mega Gyarados, and Mega Metagross.
- Because Porygon-Z primarily relies on its Normal-type STAB moves, it is often walled by Pokemon such as Magearna and Tyranitar. (I think you mean Mega Tyranitar, since Tyranitar doesn't have much usage in 1v1)

Moves

- Hyper Beam is Porygon-Z's strongest STAB move, capable of OHKOing a majority of the metagame due to its high Base Power when boosted by Adaptability. (provide some examples like Mega Charizard X, and Naganadel)
- Uproar is a secondary STAB option that doesn't have a recharge turn; it can break bulkier foes as well as bypass Sustitutes from Pokemon like Jumpluff. Its lack of a recharge turn giv es it a better matchup against Sturdy users too. (It doesn't; Choice Scarf Porygon-Z has no chance of defeating Sturdy Pokemon. Also mention its ability to defeat non-Ghost type Rest users like Mega Slowbro)
- Ice Beam enables Porygon-Z to hit Dragon-types such as Dragonite and Zygarde-C(Dragonite is not a good example here, since you don't counter Dragonite with Choice Scarf Porygon-Z) for the most damage, preventing them from setting up on a free turn granted by recharge, It also can hit Flying-types like Landorus-T harder than any other option.
- Hidden Power Fire can be run to damage Steel-types, but 1v1;s main Steel-type threats, mainly Magearna and Mega Aggron, do not take enough damage from it and can KO back. (You can give examples of Ferrothorn, Kartana, Durant, and Mega Scizor as Pokemon which Porygon-Z beats with Hidden Power Fire)
- Trick shuts down defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Mew by locking them into one move and removing their defensive items.
- Shadow Ball allows Porygon-Z to damage Ghost-types like Mimikyu (and Aegislash), which are immune to its strong Normal-type STAB moves. However, losing the ability to hit Dragon- or Steel-types hard stops Porygon-Z from being able to answer said Pokemon. (You have not mentioned Shadow Ball in the set; please update)

Set Details
========

- 252 Special Attack EVs in combination with a Modest nature maximize Porygon-Z's offensive capabilities and make it the most threatening it can be.
- A Choice Scarf and 252 Speed EVs enable Porygon-Z to outspeed almost thee the entire unboosted metagame and severely damage most of it before it can attack.
- Adaptability boosts Porygon-Z's Normal-type STAB moves, making Hyper Beam and Uproar even harder to combat.

Usage Tips
========

- Porygon-Z should not be sent out if the opponent has a Pokemon that walls it such as Magearna or Celesteela, as it struggles to win those matchups. You should also avoid bringing it in against a Sturdy user, as the recharge turn that Hyper Beam has can create setup opportunities or a free chance to KO Porygon-Z.
- It should be brought in against slower Pokemon that it can OHKO, such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard Y(At this point, all Mega Gyarados carry bulk to counter Porygon-Z, and Mega Charizard Y is not reliably countered by Choice Scarf Porygon Z. Some specially frail Pokemon, or Pokemon with average bulk like Mega Charizard X or Naganadel could be mentioned here). It can also be brought in on some setup users such as Landorus-T and Dragonite Zygarde-C due to its ability to remve remove them with Ice Beam.
- It is generally best for Porygon-Z to use Hyper Beam in most matchups due to its high power and ability to hit most Pokemon neutrally. Only lock it into a different move if the foe is not cannot be OHKOed.
- Porygon-Z can utilize Trick to take advantage of passive foes such as Mew; it can lock them into one move to prevent recovery and wear hem down more easily.(You just said that in Moves)Avoid bringing it out using it in front of passive Z-Move users such as Pyukumuku or Mega Evolutions such as Mega Slowbro, as they are immune to Trick.

Team Options

- Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Rock- and Steel-types due to their resistance to Hyper Beam, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups.
- Ghost-types are immune to Hyper Beam and are only severely damaged by Shadow Ball, as otehr Ghost-types like Mimikyu and Dark-types like Mega Gyarados can deal with these Pokemon. Mega Gyarados can also ignore Mimikyu's Disguise due to Mold Breaker.
- Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey without relying on Trick to remove its Eviolite and recovery. As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross make good partners.
- Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits; as such, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

Moves
========

- Thunderbolt allows Porygon-Z to severely damage Mega Charizard Y as well as Water-types such as Mega Slowbro and Tapu Fini. It also becomes Porygon-Z's Adaptability-boosted STAB move after using Conversion. (With Shadow Ball, you aim at attacking Mimikyu, and also to getting immune to Yawn Snorlax)
- Ice Beam compliments Thunderbolt by providing almost perfect neutral BoltBeam coverage. It also enables Porygon-Z to deal with Ground-types like Landorus-T and Zygarde-C. (Recover can be used to heal off damaged received by PorygonZ from Pokemon like Zygarde-C, and also for Curse Mimikyu)
- Hyper Beam is Porygon-Z's strongest STAB move, capable of OHKOing a majority of the metagame due to its high Base Power when boosted by Adaptability. It can also be turned into a 200-Base Power Breakneck Blitz if the boosts from Z-Conversion aren't required.
- Conversion changes Porygon-Z's typing to that of its first move in Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball providing it with useful resistances to Electric, Steel, and Flying as well as a strong STAB move. When powered up with Normalium Z, Porygon-Z obtains a +1 boost to all its stats.

(Please rewrite this section to better suit the moves mentioned)

Set Details
========

- 252 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature enable Porygon-Z to hit as hard as possible(You have mentioned 184 HP / 252 Def, which is for tanking a Waterfall from +1 Mega Gyarados) , and 72 Speed EVs enable Porygon-Z to outspeed base 110s such as Mega Metagross at +1.
- The remaining EVs are put in Defense to help Porygon-Z take physical hits from foes like Mega Aggron more easily.
- Adaptability boosts Porygon-Z's Normal-type STAB moves, making Hyper Beam even harder to combat and Thunderbolt Shadow Ball difficult for neutral targets to take.
- Normalium Z can be used for a strong Normal-type attack or to grant Porygon-Z a +1 boost to all its stats with Z-Conversion.

Usage Tips
========

- Send out Porygon-Z against foes that cannot OHKO it, such as Mega Slowbro, Primarina, and Zygarde. It can then take advantage of this to set up with Z-Conversion and KO them.
- Porygon-Z should not be sent out if the opponent has a Pokemon that outspeeds and OHKOes it such as Mega Metagross Blaziken (Conversion into RecoverSpam counters Mega Metagross) or Mega Lopunny, as it won't have the chance to set up or KO them. You should also avoid bringing it in against a Sturdy user, as Porygon-Z cannot break Sturdy without taking a hit, and its frality makes this difficult. (Z Conversion into Recover spam helps to counter Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Golem)
- If Porygon-Z is facing a foe that it outspeeds and can OHKO without boosts, use Breackneck Blitz from Hyper Beam instead of Z-Conversion. This is an extremely powerful attack capable of OHKOing many neutral targets.
- Setting up with Z-Conversion is optimal against bulkier Pokemon that Porygon-Z cannot OHKO so ti it can utilize its boosted Special Attack to net a KO as well as its increased defenses to take hits from them more easily.
- Be wary of Z-Conversion; while its new Electric typing offers resistances, it also offers a weakness to Ground-type moves from Pokemon such as Landorus-T and Zygarde, which underspeed it and take advantage of its type being changed before it can attack again.

(I'd just say, rewrite this section to match the moves suggested)

Team Options
========

- Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Steel-types due to their resistance to Breakneck Blitz and Ice Beam, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C and Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups.
- Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey without relying on Trick to remove its Eviolite and recovery. As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross make good partners.
- Before a Speed boost and withoput without a Choice Scarf, Porygon-Z has an average Speed tier, so faster threats can take advantage of it and OHKO it before it can attack. Pairing it with faster teammates such as Mega Metagross and Mega Lopunny helps deal with this.
- Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits; as such, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

(Could you add a line about what Porygon-Z does for them in return)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Choice Specs can be used instead of Choice Scarf to increase Porygon-Z's damage output, but it obtains the same boost from Z-Conversion without being locked into a move. This also cuts into Porygon-Z's Speed.
- A Nasty Plot set could be run instead of Conversion Recover, but being able to boost Speed as well as defenses is more useful than a second Special Attack boost.
- (If you think it's worth it, you could also mention that Z-Conversion is essentially a free spot to Omniboost and get the type of your choice, so you can choose any move in the first move slot)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types resist Hyper Beam and Ice Beam and can often tank Hidden Power Fire and Thunderbolt due to their bulk. Mega Aggron, Magearna, and Celesteela are big threats to Porygon-Z because they can wall it depending on its set.

**Ghost-types**: Due to Ghost-types having an immunity to Normal, Mimikyu, Aegislash, and Mega Gengar are only damaged by Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, or the rare Shadow Ball. This means that they can easily wall and shut down Porygon-Z.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Chansey, Mega Venusaur, and Pyukumuku can all take one of Porygon-Z's attacks and either recover HP or inflict it with status. It cannot effectively break them due to Hyper Beam's recharge turn.
AM QC. I'd suggest getting some help for the Z-Conv PZ from more frequently playing 1v1 players and QC members, as the set you've suggested is quite suboptimal

I think Nasty Plot is better than Recover, but that’s just me. It is an option you can use instead of Recover, though. P-Z can beat Chansey and Mega-Venu with Nasty Plot. You just have to run a significant amount of Special attack to beat Pyu. If you run enough Pyukumuku can’t win.

It can also be brought in on some setup users such as Landorus-T and Dragonite Dragonite never dies to Ice Beam from a Choice Scarf set due to its ability to remve I don't think the word remove fits in an 1v1 analysis,since KOing the opponent essentially ends the game them with Ice Beam.
- It is generally best for Porygon-Z to use Hyper Beam in most matchups due to its high power and ability to hit most Pokemon neutrally. Only lock it into a different move if the foe is not OHKOed or if it's a Whimsicott.Generally I don't think such an absolute fits here.

- Shadow Ball hits most Pokemon neutrally and heavily damages Ghost- and Psychic-types; after a Conversion boost and Adaptability, it can OHKO a majority of the metagame such as Naganadel this set cannot beat Naganadel,so it doesn't really matter, Aegislash Aegislash is prediction reliant,and you are much better off simply using Shadow Ball and Recover until it is knocked out instead of using Z-Conversion into Shadow Ball, and Mega Slowbro.
- Recover enables Porygon-Z to remain healthy throughout a match so it can break bulkier foes such as Mega Venusaur more easily. This also helps it to beat Curse Mimikyu how? Can't Mimikyu utilize RNG with Thunder Wave or lower Porygon-Z's HP just enough to nail the KO with Let's Snuggle Forever?.
- Conversion changes Porygon-Z's typing to that of its first move in Shadow Ball, providing it with resistances to Bug and Poison and two useful immunities in Normal and Fighting as well as a strong STAB move. When powered up with Normalium Z, Porygon-Z obtains a +1 boost to all its stats.

Set Details
========

- A Modest nature enable Porygon-Z to hit as hard as possible even without Special Attack investment, and 72 Speed EVs enable Porygon-Z to outspeed base 110s such as Mega Metagross at +1 and hopefully defeat it if they don't have Hammer Arm or are Attack invested.
- 184 HP and 252 Defense EVs enable Porygon-Z to take a Waterfall from +1 Mega Gyarados.+1 252+ Atk Mold Breaker Gyarados-Mega Waterfall vs. 184 HP / 252 Def Porygon-Z: 243-286 (68 - 80.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
- Adaptability boosts Porygon-Z's Normal-type STAB moves, making Hyper Beam even harder to combat and Thunderbolt difficult for neutral targets to take. Thunderbolt is not mentioned anywhere
- Normalium Z can be used for a strong Normal-type attack or to grant Porygon-Z a +1 boost to all its stats with Z-Conversion.

Usage Tips
========

- Send out Porygon-Z against foes that cannot OHKO it after a +1 boost to all of its stats, such as Mega Slowbro, Primarina, and Zygarde. It can then take advantage of this to set up with Z-Conversion and KO them.
- Porygon-Z should not be sent out if the opponent has a Pokemon that outspeeds and OHKOes it such as Mega Metagross then why did you EV to outspeed itor Mega Lopunny, as it won't have the chance to set up or KO them. You should also avoid bringing it in against a Sturdy user, as Porygon-Z cannot break Sturdy without taking a hit, and its frality makes this difficult.
- If Porygon-Z is facing a foe that it outspeeds and can OHKO without boosts, use Breackneck Blitz from Hyper Beam instead of Z-Conversion elaborate on why. This is an extremely powerful attack capable of OHKOing many neutral targets.
- Setting up with Z-Conversion is optimal against bulkier Pokemon that Porygon-Z cannot OHKO so it can utilize its boosted Special Attack to net a KO as well as its increased defenses to take hits from them more easily. It can also stall them out with Recover.
- Be wary of Z-Conversion; while its new Ghost typing offers resistances, it also offers a weakness to Ghost- and Dark-type moves from Pokemon such as Mimikyu and Greninja.
Something feels wrong with the wording but this isn't a GP check so whatever

Team Options
========

- Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Steel-types if its unable to set up Z-Conversion due to their resistance to Breakneck Blitz, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C and Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups.
- Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey. As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross make good partners.
- Before a Speed boost and without a Choice Scarf, Porygon-Z has an average Speed tier, so faster threats like? can take advantage of it and OHKO it before it can attack. Pairing it with faster teammates such as Mega Metagross and Mega Lopunny helps deal with this aren't Mega Metagross and Mega Lopunny the threats you are talking about anyway? if so,wouldn't it be better to use bulky Pokemon that are capable of defeating them?.
- Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits from?; as such, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Choice Specs can be used instead of Choice Scarf to increase Porygon-Z's damage output, but it obtains the same boost from Z-Conversion without being locked into a move yes but it can also ohko threats such as Dragonite reliably. This also cuts into Porygon-Z's Speed.do you really need speed when you can live and OHKO your opponent
- A Nasty Plot set could be run instead of Conversion, but being able to boost Speed as well as defenses is more useful than a second Special Attack boost. instead of Recover,rather
- Uproar is also a move I feel deserves mention (in a conversion set)

- A BoltBeam Z-Conversion set is an option, turning Porygon-Z into an Electric-type or Ice-Type, but it loses the ability to hit most foes neutrally with Shadow Ball and lacks recovey.
- Another set I feel also deserves mention is Z-Conversion with Hyper Beam,Uproar/Nasty Plot and Recover.It can break through counters like Chansey and Mega Venusaur
Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types resist Hyper Beam and Ice Beam and can often tank Hidden Power Fire and Thunderbolt due to their bulk. Mega Aggron, Magearna, and Celesteela are big threats to Porygon-Z because they can wall it depending on its set wall depending on its set? that's not walling a Pokemon,more like checking a Pokemon.

**Rock-types**: Rock-types such as Golem Golem can lose to Recover, Terrakion, and Mega Tyranitar resist Hyper Beam and Breakneck Blitz and can often OHKO it back with their STAB moves. Mega Tyranitar also resists Shadow Ball, meaning Z-Conversion sets cannot break past it.

**Ghost-types**: Due to Ghost-types having an immunity to Normal, Mimikyu, Aegislash Aegislash loses to the Shadow Ball+Recover combination thanks to its own lack of recovery, and Mega Gengar are only damaged by Shadow Ball, which requires a turn of setup for it to become a STAB option.

Pyukumuku can never defeat Z-Conversion Porygon-Z

Shadow Ball isn't mentioned anywhere.Either slash it with HP Fire and Trick or move this to other options
it's a moves mention, which is allowed and encouraged to differentiate viability

the EVs could be more optimized in order to hit some specific benchmark like outspeeding Mega Lopunny
spoke with uop as soon as i reserved this and i was told max max was fine for a scarf nuke. if the qc team comes to a consensus on a new spread let me know.

move 2: Recover / Uproar
uproar makes sense on this set yeah but idt it's as useful as recover so i'm relegating it to a moves mention.

- Uproar is also a move I feel deserves mention (in a conversion set)
it's a moves mention on that set so it doesn't go in oo as well.

- A Nasty Plot set could be run instead of Conversion, but being able to boost Speed as well as defenses is more useful than a second Special Attack boost. instead of Recover,rather
- Another set I feel also deserves mention is Z-Conversion with Hyper Beam,Uproar/Nasty Plot and Recover.It can break through counters like Chansey and Mega Venusaur
having both is redundant.

- A BoltBeam Z-Conversion set is an option, turning Porygon-Z into an Electric-type or Ice-Type,
ice is a garbage defensive typing so you just make it so much easier to get koed. it doesn't offer the resistances that electric / ghost offers and while stab + adapt beam is nice, ghost sets beat dragonite better due to espeed immunity.

- A mono-Normal typing means that Porygon-Z only has one weakness, but Fighting-types such as Mega Lopunny, Sawk, and Mega Blaziken are dominant forces in the 1v1 metagame. Porygon-Z may only have one weakness, but it has no resistances and only one immunity, resulting in it having a lack of defensive utility.
- Because Porygon-Z primarily relies on its Normal-type STAB moves, it is often walled by Pokemon such as Magearna and Mega Tyranitar.

Moves
========

- Hyper Beam is Porygon-Z's strongest STAB move, capable of OHKOing a majority of the metagame due to its high Base Power when boosted by Adaptability.
- Uproar is a secondary STAB option that doesn't have a recharge turn; it can break bulkier foes as well as bypass Substitutes from Pokemon like Jumpluff. It also enables Porygon-Z to beat non-Ghost-type Rest users like Mega Slowbro.
- Ice Beam enables Porygon-Z to hit Dragon-types such as and Zygarde-C for the most damage, preventing them from setting up on a free turn granted by recharge, It also can hit Flying-types like Landorus-T harder than any other option.
- Trick shuts down defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Mew by locking them into one move and removing their defensive items.
- Hidden Power Fire can be run to damage Steel-types, but 1v1's main Steel-type threats, mainly Magearna and Mega Aggron, do not take enough damage from it and can KO back. Hidden power Fire can OHKO Genesect, however.
- Shadow Ball allows Porygon-Z to damage Ghost-types like Mega Gengar, which are immune to its strong Normal-type STAB moves. However, losing the ability to hit Dragon-types hard stops Porygon-Z from being able to answer said Pokemon.

Set Details
========

- 252 Special Attack EVs in combination with a Modest nature maximize Porygon-Z's offensive capabilities and make it the most threatening it can be.
- A Choice Scarf and 252 Speed EVs enable Porygon-Z to outspeed most of the entire unboosted metagame and severely damage most of it before it can attack.
- Adaptability boosts Porygon-Z's Normal-type STAB moves, making Hyper Beam even harder to combat.

Usage Tips
========

- It should be brought in against slower Pokemon that it can OHKO, such as Mega Charizard Y. It can also be brought in on some setup users such as Landorus-T due to its ability to OHKO them with Ice Beam.
- It is generally best for Porygon-Z to use Hyper Beam in most matchups due to its high power and ability to hit most Pokemon neutrally. Only lock it into a different move if the foe is not OHKOed or can set up Substitute faster.
- Porygon-Z can utilize Trick to take advantage of passive foes such as Mew; it can lock them into one move to prevent recovery and wear hem down more easily. Avoid bringing it out in front of passive Z-Move users such as Pyukumuku or Mega Evolutions such as Mega Slowbro, as they are immune to Trick.
Team Options
========

- Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Rock- and Steel-types due to their resistance to Hyper Beam, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups.
- Ghost-types are immune to Hyper Beam and are only severely-severely isn't fitting here,most Ghost-types take minor damage from Shadow Ball or can KO Porygon-Z before it can damaged by Shadow Ball, as other Ghost-types like Aegislash and Dark-types like Mega Gyarados can deal with these Pokemon. Mega Gyarados can also ignore Mimikyu's Disguise and beat some sets due to Mold Breaker.
- Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey without relying on Trick to remove its Eviolite and recovery. As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross-Mega Metagross isn't really a good counter to Chansey,while Charizard X is a shaky matchup without Belly Drummake good partners.
- Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits; as such, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

Overview
Mention that Steel typing is very common in the 4th point

set 1
Moves: Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse are very similar moves, except Dark Pulse has a Flinch chance. There's not much reason not to use it instead of Shadow Ball, as most Fairy-types and Fighting-types that will now resist your coverage move are weak to Hyper Beam anyway

Usage Tips: There are pokemon that Porygon-Z doesn't outspeed, though not many. I think it's worth mentioning to try avoid Zeraora and other pokemon that outspeed Porygon-Z even with a Choice Scarf

set 2
Usage Tips: I don't think Mega Tyranitar is worth mentioning here, as Normal-type Porygon-Z can't beat it either. If you want a relevant dark type to use as an example, the best option is Mega Gyarados and otherwise you're stuck with like Hydreigon which nobody but me uses.

Shadow Ball hits most Pokemon neutrally and heavily damages Ghost- and Psychic-types; after a Conversion boost and Adaptability, it can OHKO a majority of the metagame such as Naganadel, Aegislash, and Mega Slowbro. Recover enables Porygon-Z to remain healthy throughout a match so it can break bulkier foes such as Mega Venusaur more easily. This also helps it to beat Curse Mimikyu. Mega Venusaur isn't a good example as Recover doesn't help it beat it. Use Donphan/Golem and Mimikyu as the primary examples. Talk about Nasty Plot here. Its primary targets are stallmons like Mega Venusaur, Chansey and Ferrothorn Hyper Beam is Porygon-Z's strongest STAB move, capable of OHKOing a majority of the metagame due to its high Base Power when boosted by Adaptability. When powered up with Normalium Z, Porygon-Z obtains a +1 boost to all its stats. Uproar can be run as an alternative to Recover in order to beat Substitute users such as Jumpluff more reliably, but losing out on the longevity of Recover makes beating bulkier Pokemon harder. Reflect Nasty Plot change again. Mention that it can also be run in place of Hyper Beam, but misses some important KOs

Set Details
========

Reflect EV changes here 72 Speed EVs enable Porygon-Z to outspeed base 110s such as Mega Metagross at +1. 152 HP and 252 Defense EVs enable Porygon-Z to avoid the 2HKO from Jolly Mega Gyarados's Waterfall or Crunch, and the remaining 32 EVs are placed in Special Attack combined with a Modest nature to enable Porygon-Z to hit as hard as possible.

Usage Tips
========

Send out Porygon-Z against foes that cannot OHKO it after it has boosted its stats, such as Mega Slowbro, Primarina, and Zygarde. It can then take advantage of this to set up with Z-Conversion and KO them. This is misleading. Against Slowbro and Primarina, the play is usually to use Breakneck Blitz as SpD Amnesia Slowbro can wall non-Nasty Plot if you use turn 1 like that and SpA-invested Primarina can OHKO through SpD boost. Porygon-Z should not be sent out if the opponent has a Pokemon that outspeeds and OHKOes it such as Mega Lopunny, as it won't have the chance to set up or KO them. You should also avoid bringing it in against a Sturdy user, as Porygon-Z cannot break Sturdy without taking a hit, and its frality makes this difficult. It beats Donphan and Golem if you have Recover, be more specific If Porygon-Z is facing a foe that it outspeeds and can OHKO without boosts, use Breakneck Blitz from Hyper Beam instead of Z-Conversion because it's the most reliable way to ensure the opposing [Pokemon cannot stop Porygon-Z from boosting. This doesn't make sense. You OHKO them to prevent them from preventing you from boosting? This is an extremely powerful attack capable of OHKOing many neutral targets. Setting up with Z-Conversion is optimal against bulkier Pokemon that Porygon-Z cannot OHKO so it can utilize its boosted Special Attack to net a KO as well as its increased defenses to take hits from them more easily. It can also stall them out with Recover. Be wary of Z-Conversion; while its new Ghost typing offers resistances, it also offers a weakness to Ghost- and Dark-type moves from Pokemon such as Mega Gengar and Mega Gyarados, which a Normal-typed Porygon-Z can take more easily.

Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Steel-types if its unable to set up Z-Conversion due to their resistance to Breakneck Blitz, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C and Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups. Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey. As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross make good partners. Before a Speed boost and without a Choice Scarf, Porygon-Z has an average Speed tier, so faster threats such as Mega Charizard Y can take advantage of it and OHKO it before it can attack. Pairing it with faster teammates such as Mega Metagross and Mega Lopunny or bulkier Pokemon that can take a hit help deal with this. Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits; as such, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

Choice Specs can be used instead of Choice Scarf to increase Porygon-Z's damage output and allow it to reliably OHKO Dragonite (with Blizzard, which is unreliable by nature of accuracy), but it obtains the same boost from Z-Conversion (Specs has 225 power, Z move has 200 (and if you use Z-Conversion you lose normal STAB). Specs is stronger) without being locked into a move. This also cuts into Porygon-Z's Speed. (Specs always runs at least some speed, often more than Z-Conversion) Nasty Plot could be run instead of Recover, but being able to restore its HP throughout a match is more useful than a second Special Attack boost. A BoltBeam Z-Conversion set is an option, turning Porygon-Z into an Electric-type, but it loses the ability to hit most foes neutrally with Shadow Ball and lacks recovery. Remove the BoltBeam Z-Conversion set. It doesn't beat anything and isn't used. Mention instead that Porygon-Z can viably run both Nasty Plot and Recover by forgoing Shadow Ball. Dark Pulse or Shadow Ball can be run as fourth move options on the Choice Scarf set for coverage against Ghost-types, with Dark Pulse offering a chance to cause foes to flinch, but they hit less relevant targets than Ice Beam and Hidden Power Fire.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types resist Hyper Beam and Ice Beam and can often tank Hidden Power Fire and Thunderbolt (Thunderbolt isn't mentioned in the analysis. Should it be here?) due to their bulk. Mega Aggron, Magearna, and Celesteela are big threats to Porygon-Z because they can often check or even wall it depending on its set.

**Rock-types**: Rock-types such as Nihilego and Mega Tyranitar resist Hyper Beam and Breakneck Blitz and can often OHKO it back with their STAB moves. Mega Tyranitar also resists Shadow Ball, meaning Z-Conversion sets cannot break past it.

**Ghost-types**: Due to Ghost-types having an immunity to Normal, Mimikyu and Mega Gengar are only damaged by Shadow Ball, which requires a turn of setup for it to become a STAB option.

Nasty Plot and Specs break them - should either be mentioned or this check-counter point should be removed.

[OVERVIEW]
Porygon-Z is an extremely strong special attacker due to its high Special Attack, capable of OHKOing many key threats in 1v1 such as Tapu Lele, Naganadel, and Mega Charizard Y. Its access to Adaptability bolsters its offensive presence, allowing it to become a key offensive threat (can be merged next to high special attack to cut down on fluff). This is also aided by its access to an extremely powerful Hyper Beam; its ability to OHKO most Pokemon eliminates the main drawback of a recharge turn. A mono-Normal typing means that Porygon-Z only has one weakness, but Fighting-types such as Mega Lopunny, Sawk, and Mega Blaziken are dominant forces in the 1v1 metagame (would it be worth mentioning why these fighting-types beat it here. afaik 2/3 of these pokemon actually beat p-z because of their abilities primarily). Porygon-Z may only have one weakness, but it has no resistances and only one immunity, resulting in it having a lack of defensive utility (i don't know if it's just me but, mentioning defensive utility in a 1v1 setting seems off. it usually refers to how something functions in a team setting, like Dodrio having basically zero defensive utility in pu for example, because of its typing and low defensive stats). Because Porygon-Z primarily relies on its Normal-type STAB moves, it is often walled by Pokemon such as Magearna and Mega Tyranitar. (i'm assuming that this could be covered by basically any normal-immune or resistant pokemon)

(space bwahaha martha u fricking scrub)
Hyper Beam is Porygon-Z's strongest STAB move, capable of OHKOing a majority of the metagame due to its high Base Power when boosted by Adaptability. Uproar is a secondary STAB option that doesn't have a recharge turn; it can break bulkier foes as well as bypass Substitutes from Pokemon like Jumpluff (:pikuh: but ur faster... and it doesn't run sash). It also enables Porygon-Z to beat non-Ghost-type Rest users like Mega Slowbro. Ice Beam enables Porygon-Z to hit Dragon-types such as Zygarde-C for the most damage, preventing them from setting up on a free turn granted by recharge, It also can hit Flying-types like Landorus-T harder than any other option. Just say Ground types and put Zygarde and Landorus-T under the same umbrella. they're the only relevant targets, anyways (agree with this)Trick shuts down defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Mew by locking them into one move and removing their defensive items (important question. do you lose to s-toss chansey 1v1, if so remove it). Hidden Power Fire can be run to damage Steel-types, but 1v1's main Steel-type threats, mainly Magearna and Mega Aggron, do not take enough damage from it and can KO back (either ohko or almost ohko in aggron's case. very favourable roll but still a roll). Hidden Power Fire can OHKO Genesect, however. Add in that it can beat Ferrothorn and Durant too, don't mention its inability to beat top tier steels (agree with the first bit, but you should 100% mention its inability to beat top tier steels. this is why it's slashed second and seen as less favourable)

252 Special Attack EVs in combination with a Modest nature maximize Porygon-Z's offensive capabilities and make it the most threatening it can be. A Choice Scarf and 252 Speed EVs enable Porygon-Z to outspeed most of the entire unboosted metagame and severely damage most of it before it can attack. Adaptability boosts Porygon-Z's Normal-type STAB moves, making Hyper Beam even harder to combat.

Usage Tips
========

Porygon-Z should not be sent out if the opponent has a Pokemon that walls it such as Magearna or Celesteela, as it struggles to win those matchups. You should also avoid bringing it in against a Sturdy user, as the recharge turn that Hyper Beam has can create setup opportunities or a free chance to KO Porygon-Z. It should be brought in against slower Pokemon that it can OHKO, such as Mega Charizard Y. It can also be brought in on some setup users such as Landorus-T probably mention zygarde>landorus here, lando is based more on offensive presence (both can be mentioned, also just say picked ig?)due to its ability to OHKO them with Ice Beam. Porygon-Z can utilize Trick to take advantage of passive foes such as Mew; it can lock them into one move to prevent recovery and wear hem down more easily. Avoid bringing it out in front of passive Z-Move users such as Pyukumuku or Mega Evolutions such as Mega Slowbro, as they are immune to Trick. Mention somewhere that against mons like Mega Gyarados, the play is to use Uproar as Hyper Beam doesn't OHKO

Team Options
========

Porygon-Z cannot adequately damage Rock- and Steel-types due to their resistance to Hyper Beam, so Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde-C make good partners due to their ability to reliably win these matchups. Ghost-types are immune to Hyper Beam and are only damaged by Shadow Ball, as other Ghost-types like Aegislash and Dark-types like Mega Gyarados can deal with these Pokemon (i'd just say that quite a few ghost-types wall the current set ig, just because shadow ball isn't mentioned anywhere in moves). Mega Gyarados can also ignore Mimikyu's Disguise and beat some sets due to Mold Breaker. Answers to special walls are appreciated, as Porygon-Z cannot beat Chansey without relying on Trick to remove its Eviolite and recovery (see above). As such, physical wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard X and Terrakion make good partners. Porygon-Z is a relatively frail Pokemon and cannot take many hits; as such, bulkier partners such as Magearna and Mega Venusaur are appreciated.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Usage Tips
========

Send out Porygon-Z against foes that cannot OHKO it after it has boosted its stats, such as Zygarde. It can then take advantage of this to set up with Z-Conversion and KO them. It can also be sent out against bulkier Pokemon like Mega Slowbro and Primarina and proceed to OHKO or heavily damage with with Breakneck Blitz. If Porygon-Z is facing a foe that it outspeeds and can OHKO without boosts, use Breakneck Blitz from Hyper Beam instead of Z-Conversion,(RC) because it's an extremely powerful attack capable of OHKOing many neutral targets.

========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Bulkier offensive Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados cannot be OHKOed by Hyper Beam, so using Uproar to avoid the recharge turn and KO it over two turns is more beneficial.

Team Options
========

Other Options
=============

===================
