[SET COMMENTS]
Ho-Oh's offensive presence and excellent defensive stats and typing make it an excellent check to opposing setup. Haze, boosted by Prankster, lets Ho-Oh reliably check setup sweepers by removing their boosts. Topsy-Turvy is an alternative that further disrupts attempts at setting up at the cost of being blocked by Yveltal and Psychic Surge Mewtwo. Destiny Bond can be used to trade with and remove opposing setup sweepers and Imposter users, though its single use limits it to hyper offense teams that can capitalize on such a trade. Glare provides excellent Speed control and occasional free turns, greatly aiding Ho-Oh's offensive teammates. With maximum Attack investment, V-create threatens Zamazenta-C and other Steel-types. Parting Shot lets Ho-Oh fast-pivot out while cutting the damage the switch-in takes, while U-turn lets Ho-Oh slow-pivot. Copycat, after Ho-Oh has moved last with V-create, essentially gives it access to a priority V-create, which can catch opponents by surprise. Ho-Oh's EV spread varies depending on whether V-create is being used: if so, maximum Attack and Speed are ideal for maximizing the threat of V-create; if not, minimum Attack and Speed are preferable for minimizing Strength Sap's healing and for underspeeding opposing pivots.
Ho-Oh's qualities make it excellent on offensively oriented teams: Xerneas, Eternatus, and other special attackers appreciate the security of Ho-Oh Imposter-proofing them; its paralysis spreading is great for letting wallbreakers like Kyurem-B create mindgames and setup sweepers like Eternatus set up; and the threat of V-create helps maintain offensive pressure. Ho-Oh also forms a solid defensive core with Dragon-types like Giratina, Zygarde-C, and Fur Coat Palkia, since Ho-Oh can handle Xerneas and Eternatus while the Dragon-type can blanket check physical attackers.
