Project Mono-Type: Psychic

Honestly, there's really no need to go mixed with Latios when it has Psyshock to bypass the special walls. That Dragon Dance Latios is still revenge-killed by Scizor. I prefer CM LO Latios to truly abuse Latio's monstrous special offense to break huge holes into the opponent's team.

Latios @ Life Orb | Levitate
Timid | 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Draco Meteor
~ Psyshock
~ Calm Mind
~ Hidden Power [Fire] / Surf

Latios needs Surf if it wants to break past tank Tyranitar and easily dispatch Heatran, but I prefer Hidden Power [Fire] to have a better answer to Rotom-W / Scizor combo, as well as not being set-up bait to Ferrothorn. Latios still renders TTar death fodder after its done with it, allowing your other Special Sweepers to reap the benefit. After a CM or 2, Heatran also gets banged up by Draco Meteor, anyways.

Perhaps Choice-Trick Latios (Specs) and Metagross (Band) could be used??

I use both pokes on one of my teams and they are very useful. It helps when someone switches in their Scizor or Blissey expecting a D-Meteor and get Tricked instead :)

CBGross is an amazing TR Sweeper, Max Hp and Atk gives him enough of a punch to destroy all Tar unless something like Fire Blast burns, Shadow Balls are too weak to 2HKO and you can use Trick if Skarm or Jellyent think they can wall you

TRictini will take a huge chunck of anything not called Gastrodon or Swampert, and after using TR Life Orbed V-create hits insanely hard, having a lot of oportunities to switch in and set up TR (even being able to switch in +1 Volcanora and OHKO with V-create after setting it up), and helps you for the things that thinks they can switch in (flash fire users and the like hoping for a quick boost) so you can switch or U-turn (maybe braking their balloons) for other pokemon to switch in (Slowbro and Bronzong being huge switch in, TR refresher being so hard to kill), he's also fast enough to revenge some slow sweeper

Lati@s/Starmie being able to clean/revenge after TR goes off and eliminate everything that moves and happens to be a little bit damaged

WFG cores are another great possibility with Celeby (or harvest Exeggutor)/Slowbro(king)/Victini all bing bulky and being able to switch in an out by doing a lot (Seeding, U-turn, TR, or just attacking), Bronzong, Metagross, Jirachi, Gallade, or future Meloetta to absorb the Dark, Ghost, and Bug attacks that will come

Surf doesn't do anything to Tyranitar, if anything, the best way for Latios to break it is on it's physical side. In addition, using Draco Meteor forces you to switch, or otherwise attack with -2 SpA. Psyshock becomes not so useful, while a mix set can then switch to physical attacks.

just copying this from somebody, but i found this usable:

Latios @ Life Orb | Levitate
Hasty | 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Draco Meteor
~ Outrage
~ Dragon Dance
~ Earthquake

This is a surprise set which makes use of latios' decent attack. the strategy is fire off draco meteor (this will make your opponent think you'll switch out) and surprise by DD. Then sweep.

+1 Surf followed by a +1 Draco Meteor KOs 252 / 252+ TTar. Even after a special fall, Latios can still pack a punch thanks to Life Orb and Calm Mind. It's more of a wall-breaker, but its 110 Speed lets it pull off a mid- late-game sweep if the opportunity arises.

The Dragon Dance set looks decent though. With Life Orb, it has a chance to 2HKO Ttar with +0 EQ, which is impressive. Also Dragon Dance is a much better sweeping setup than Calm Mind in most circumstances. My only qualm is that this set is Scizor food, which doesn't sound good for a Mono-Psychic team. I guess the game plan would be to remove Scizor / Skarmory / Ferrothorn before unleasing DD Latios? Sounds a little gimmicky, but I can see it work. I'd probably go with HP Fire for the type-coverage over the raw power of Draco Meteor.
