Hey guys, sorry I'm so late on the posts. I'm doing an internship and I'm doing my best to do that and keep up with my love of mons at the same time. Anyway, great submissions by you all. Basculin checks the fiery ape nicely. It's Banded Adaptability boosted Aqua Jet is a guaranteed OHKO on Simisear. Basculin is also a very light fish, thus it survives a +2 Grass Knot. It also takes a +2 Fire Blast. It's only a check because it doesn't take +2 Focus Blast or Inferno Overdrive. Waterfall hits the tier pretty hard too. Final Gambit helps it's teammates by dealing 287 damage on full HP. Crunch helps against stuff that can take it's water-fighting coverage like non-Colbur Gourgeist.

Pyukumuku is a counter to Simisear as Unaware ignores the boost of Nasty Plot entirely and it can tank any hit, Simisear might go for, even a Z-Fire Blast won't do much to Pyukumuku
as Pyukumuku has a good special defensive stat and its typing lets it live it easily. Also Focus Blast and even Grass Knot won't do much to it as the latter of these are based on the weight of the
opposing pokemon, but Pyukumuku is not heavy at all, so Grass Knot isn't able to bypass Pyukumuku.
In return Pyukumuku can Block and Soak Simisear furthermore Simisear does not like to get Blocked as Pyukumuku can Toxic stall it down easily
and Recover + Leftovers are nice ways to keep up Pyukumukus longevity while doing so. Overall Pyukumuku is one of the most troublesome pokemon to deal for Simisear and Simisear really likes to have it removed asap.
