Hi, this question is directed to those that use he R4DS' cheat database for cloning, getting items, etc.
If you are part of that group of people you should know that the original cheat database that comes with the R4DS and its newer kernels doesn't have many cheats for Pokemon DP.
So my question is:
Which custom CHEAT.DAT archive do you use? I found this one on some forums, it has the cloning cheat, but not the IV checking cheat and the "get all TMs and HMs" code puts 99 Explorer Kits on the Mail pocket so I avoid using that one.
My question is: Where can I download a good cheat database for my R4DS (cloning and IV checking code are a must).
 
i have a normal cart+AR setup, so i wont be much help. Just posting to say i found a really useful Check IV code ^_^
 
Could I ask where i can get an R4 without means of internet buying? I'm not allowed to purchase items on the internet so could I find the R4 in a random Gamestop?
 
Well can you post that code? maybe I can edit it in my cheat file if I figure how it is done.

@jujuomi: I can't be of much help there because I'm not from the US, I bought mine online.

Im pretty sure R4 stuff is only available on the net, not in stores.

You can still find them in Hong Kong!

IV Check Code for AR:
Press Select + Start when checking a Pokemons Summary. Then check the quantity of the first 6 Tms in your bag. The i.v.’s are displayed in this order
Note: I have heard this code may not work if an i.v. has 0. Also only have one pokemon in your party while using this code

When you mean the first 6 TMs does it matter if I don't have TM 02 for example? would it take TMs 1,3,4,5,6 and 7?
Also have you tested what happens if the IV is 0? does the TM disappears or something?

@RandomNoob: please keep that kind of comments to yourself, we are not discussing piracy here. That subject can get a mod angry, and just for the record I have a real cart of Pokemon Diamond, I use my R4 for cloning mostly.

It just takes the first tm 6 in ur list. It could be 6,7,23,24,91,92 lol
and if its a 0, the place where it would display an IV is empty, and so are the rest of the TM spots. But dont worry, the TM changes are not permanent :P
 
When do the changes reset? what happens if I save after that? or you mean I shouldn't save to avoid making them permanent?
 
I thought R4's are illegal, and isnt that against the rules? I do not disapprove of R4's, heck I want my own, you can use your DS as a phone. Im just saying.

@GoZgOn: I don't think they are illegal, at least Nintendo has not sued them yet.
They aren't against the rules, many people here use them for cloning and even breeding Mario with lasers comes to mind, and I believe that Forbidden also but I could be mistaken.
What is against the rules here is to hack the pokemon, that I don't do, otherwise I would have finished my yanma project already :'(
 
Don't worry GoZgOn, good you are getting one, you should be able to clone by yourself.
Thanks goodbar, I'll review the link, but I haven't been able to use the R4 Cheat code editor with my CHEAT.DAT unfortunately :(
 
For some reason, i tried this Code, i checked my first egg, and the iv's came out, i checked the second egg, and the ivs came out exactly the same, with the 3rd one too. I turned off my game, activated the cheat again, and i checked my lucario, and got the same exact same iv's. anyone know the problem? =\
 
You can check IVs using PokeSav.
After checking the IVs don't save the .sav file cause that may have a risk of making your pokemon looked hacked ( When someone checks it with a hack checker )
For cloning the link Mr_Goodbar4321 posted is good enough, I don't think theres a file on the net that comes with the cloning cheat, Its best if you add it yourself.
I'd be careful though and back up my .sav file before activating a cheat.
 
I added the Pokemon cheats I use manually. Google "Action Replay + R4" for instructions on how to do this.

They aren't against the rules because they dont put the games on it the buyer does. The buyer breaks the law the producer doesn't. As to where you get them, online or I know people who get them in china town but you'd have to know where to look.
 
Thank you all for the answers, just to clarify PakGamer the file I linked on my first post comes with the cloning cheat. I just miss the IV checking cheat.
I was mostly asking if there was a better one, but it seems I need to edit it manually.
