Both: What is your favorite pun, and what was the last play that you saw?

Favorite pun: Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.

Last play I saw: The Laugh-In (which was fucking hilarious btw)

do you think that one day i will be interesting enough to have my own well? :)

maybe one day B)

tort or rav

ew neither

favorite noodle

Ziti/Penne

marinara or alfredo

marinara for sure

/me tries to ask less random stuff

@Oglecent

[*]If you were to leave Smogon for some reason (irl or w/e), what do you wish to accomplish / do before that?

It'd be pretty cool to be an admin B)

But realistically I want to see RU through to a balanced state with all of the DW abilities released (we still have to survive Contrary Serperior and Shadow Tag Lampent)

[*]What has kept you here on Smogon this long?

IDK, probably my leadership, people have come to depend on me in various parts of the site, and there's always stuff to be done.

Also boredom...

[*]Has the well been enjoyable?

For sure !

[*]Would you want to have another round of the well xD

Probably not lol, so many questions .-.

@Oglemi

[*]What aesthetic change would you like to bring to Smogon (main page etc~) if possible?

A new emblem for the top left corner. aragornbird made the current one, and had a work in progress for a new one, but we haven't heard anything about it since.

[*]How many users have you helped get into C&C etc and why? :O

There's probably too many to count and I don't remember everyone that I've helped out specifically, particularly because most people are pretty self-reliant and only need a single push in the right direction to become a good contributor. I've never been one to actively seek out users to get them involved in C&C, I wait for them to make the decision to get involved and I help them from there. Some users that stick out in my mind though that I helped get involved are SuperJOCKE, sirndpt, and Jellicent. There's plenty more that most people probably don't know (YaM and Alonsoforever stick out).

It's what I like best about being a mod is that I can share my knowledge and help out aspiring new users to become good contributors. I've learned so much from working on Smogon, and even if the person is only going to be around for a little bit, if I can help even just a little to improve their writing skills or whatever they're interested in doing then I feel accomplished as well. It's also one of the best feelings in the world to see a user go from a nobody to a top contributor and see their work up onsite. It might seem silly, but even for something as meaningless as getting a Pokemon analysis up onsite, there's a huge sense of pride and accomplish of seeing your work get put up; it's a huge moral and self-confidence booster that can reflect in real life.

[*]Does your eagerness to help others on Smogon reflect how you are irl / your passion of teaching / becoming a teacher?

Probably lol, maybe not as prominently

[*]iirc you said you'll like to be a History / Social Studies / some humanities subject teacher. How do you intend to make the subject more interesting for students? x) /me bad at humanities subjects

By making the subject relatable. As I said earlier in the well, right now most humanities subjects in high school are pure memorization and therefore uninteresting for most students. However, the more that you can put a student in the shoes of the people in history, the more they're probably going to be interested and therefore going to learn.

I plan on using a lot of media when I'm a teacher; despite the state of the History Channel atm, there's still a lot of good specials that the channel airs that I'd like to show my students, particularly the special on the Great Depression. There's also a lot of stuff you can do on the interwebs to get kids interested. Having as many games as possible and anything to make the classroom more fun will also help.

The worst thing you can do for a humanities course is to be a boring speaker and have your students read out of a book while in class or simply fill out terms sheets. You need to make the classroom an engaged learning experience, and save any reading that needs to take place as homework.

[*]What is one thing you wish you know how to do on Smogon and irl? (one each) eg battling / arting

Smogon - Programming or research (if I have to choose only one though I'd go with programming). They're the two most valuable skills I think you can have on the site, and the most sought after as well. I admire the work the people that know how to do these things are able to do, and actually being able to make things for the site with programming would be the coolest thing ever I think.

IRL - Draw. I can't draw worth a fucking damn, and I've always wished I could. I know I can always take the time to practice and blah blah, but I wish it just came naturally :/

If you were to leave Smogon for some reason (irl or w/e), what do you wish to accomplish / do before that?
There's a lot I want to do here, so that's a bit tough. I just wanna help keep this place fun and resourceful, so anything that helps with that, I'll try to do~

What has kept you here on Smogon this long?
The community :3

I keep finding new things to do, new people to talk to, and still love the old stuff I started out doing and started out talking to. This place is fun ^.^

Has the well been enjoyable?
Yup ^.^

Would you want to have another round of the well xD
Nah, I'm good for now. If I'm still here 5 years from now or something, and people were interested in re-welling, I might give it a spin to see how much I've changed, though~

Say hi to PQ for me too x)
She says "hi" back ^.^

.-. = inverse of ._. yes?
.__.

How do you feel being ladybug buddies with NWO, Eraddd, and me :P
Solid crew, imo. Definitely great bug buddies~

What keeps you going on Smogon?
You just asked x.x

What part of smogon do you wish to improve?
DittoCrow and I plan on starting up something for RU in a couple weeks~

C&C, OI, RoA, Smog, Competitor, and p much anywhere else that wants it also always has my help ^.^

What would be one thing you can change irl? :O
Like, about myself? Wouldn't mind a new job; this restaurant's slowly dying, though I love the place. Waiting somewhere else would be fun, but I like my current job security, and it's tough to know how much you'll be making at another restaurant until you're already stuck working there ;-;

How was moving 1k+++ threads in RoA ._________.
Mind numbing, but the fun I had afterwards because of it totally paid off ^.^

Also, fuck it, I wanted Oggy in the well, and now's the time to capitalize on it~

@Oglemi: (like I'd be asking both of us, lol)

Do you have any creative RU sets that you've been toying around with that you don't mind sharing?

What are your thoughts on your little Smog controversy? If you could go back, would you make it less controversial or push the boundaries further?

What would you like to see change about C&C?

Has anyone bothered to delete a post in the SMod+ forum? Cuz, like, you could all see it anyway >.>

Someone suddenly makes you an admin with root access: what do you do first!?

You said black guys don't do it for you. What about half-black, half-white? Quarter black? An 8th black (how Jim Crow does it go?) What about Asians, Latinos, etc.? Any European ethnicities that don't do it for you?

Sorry for that last one; I'm just inquisitive ;-;

Umbreon Dan asked if you would mind sharing a well with someone other than me. Who would you want it to be?~

What's the best tip you could give an am GPer? How about a seasoned GP team member?

You mentioned before being pro-gay adoption. If men could somehow birth kids (maybe C-Section, cuz otherwise o_O), would you be down with giving birth?

You also mentioned History Channel stuff. Thoughts on Ancient Aliens?

Also, on the subject of history: glad to hear you want to teach it! I've had a lot of great history teachers, and I'm interested to hear how you would help kids get in the minds of the people of the past. I've done amateur tutoring of my friends in history, which basically involved drinking with them the night before the exam and explaining in heavily layman's terms just what the fuck was up. It worked well, though, and they happened to remember the stuff well after the exam. Making history relatable is huge, I think, and my favorite professors could always do that. How would you?

Do you have any thoughts on "making history" as a form of immorality? Any desire to "make history"?

What kinds of music and movies do you dig? Any personal favorites for either?

What's your zombie plan?

Also, thanks for sharing a well with me, mate. It was a totally weird fucking idea, but I enjoyed it thoroughly and am glad we did ^.^

@Oglemi: (like I'd be asking both of us, lol)

Do you have any creative RU sets that you've been toying around with that you don't mind sharing?

Haven't been toying with anything really creative, but I've been liking specially defensive Lickilicky. I've also been toying with fast Lanturn (40 HP / 216 SpD / 252 Spe Calm), which is kinda funny throwing some people off. Don't try bulky Kabutops or Scarf Gothitelle .-.

I've been meaning to try a few other things (Articuno and Throh come to mind), I'll let you know the skivvy when I get a chance to play with them.

What are your thoughts on your little Smog controversy? If you could go back, would you make it less controversial or push the boundaries further?

Push the boundaries further for sure, I didn't get nearly enough flak for it B)

What would you like to see change about C&C?

Just more activity atm, we're kinda in a downswing. There's really nothing about policy I want to change.

Has anyone bothered to delete a post in the SMod+ forum? Cuz, like, you could all see it anyway >.>

yeah lol mingot has

Someone suddenly makes you an admin with root access: what do you do first!?

update the Dex with BW2 :o

You said black guys don't do it for you. What about half-black, half-white? Quarter black? An 8th black (how Jim Crow does it go?) What about Asians, Latinos, etc.? Any European ethnicities that don't do it for you?

Nah black guys just don't really do it for me no matter the "blackness", idk what it is lol.

And ugh, being racist again, but most Asians don't do it for me either. Harry Shum (Mike on Glee) is one of the few exceptions.

Latinos and Europeans are on the same level as white Americans I think.

Sorry for that last one; I'm just inquisitive ;-;

Umbreon Dan asked if you would mind sharing a well with someone other than me. Who would you want it to be?~

9.9

That's a tough one tbh, there's too many people that I like and am friends with :/ But if I have to choose someone I'd go with Fatecrashers because we've both been around Smogon for about the same amount of time and have been pretty good friends for the better part of it.

What's the best tip you could give an am GPer? How about a seasoned GP team member?

am GPer - Be confident that you know your standard English grammar well enough. Smogon standards are just quirks and not what you should start out learning.

seasoned GPer - Stay up-to-date and review the Smogon standards from time to time, we periodically standardize things we commonly see in analyses, especially if sandz gets confused on something :P.

You mentioned before being pro-gay adoption. If men could somehow birth kids (maybe C-Section, cuz otherwise o_O), would you be down with giving birth?

Never really thought about it, but I just witnessed my cousin go through hell with her pregnancy; I'd probably leave that to women even if men could birth their own kids. Plus, there's always kids that need to be adopted, no point in letting those kids go homeless.

You also mentioned History Channel stuff. Thoughts on Ancient Aliens?

lol

Some of the stuff is pretty far-fetched. Some of it though is kinda believable. One thing that sticks out is the Mayan (maybe it was Aztec) stone carving that depicted what the historians on the show called a space ship. Whether or not it was a space ship, it definitely was a pretty odd thing for those people to draw in their day and age.

By painting as vivid of a picture as to what life was like in that day and age. I mean, you can tell kids that there was no technology and all that, but it doesn't really do much for them. However, showing them the hardships that people faced and how dangerous a lot of our past was I think helps them achieve the feeling of being there in history. Also, I don't think enough teachers tell their kids what's actually still the same, or show that things are the way they are now because of our past.

Also, primary sources. Kids don't get enough of these in high school. I've always thought reading something or looking at paintings or filmstrips from the time period is far more interesting than reading what happened out of a textbook. Actually having what happened at your fingertips is a really cool experience I think. I remember reading the transcripts from the audio of the Oval Office during the Bay of Pigs incident just this past year in one of my history courses. Before that course I never realized just how close the U.S. came to war with Russia, and that really stuck out to me. Actually reading what JFK and his advisors said was really cool.

Do you have any thoughts on making history as a form of immorality? Any desire to "make history"?

I don't really have any aspirations to make history on the same level as people like MLK lol. But, if I have the opportunity to change history in the way the Little Rock Nine did (simply doing something that they believed in), I'll definitely step up to the plate.

What kinds of music and movies do you dig? Any personal favorites for either?

I could go on and on about the music and movies I like. For music I really enjoy upbeat pop/rock music. I'm not a fan of rap (some minor exceptions like Nicki Minaj), despise country, and don't really care for anything indie. I also like listening to classical music, my movie score station on Pandora is one of my favorite things to listen to while doing homework.

I'm going make a megalist of my favorites for music: Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Neon Trees, Queen, Journey, Boston, Fireflight, Flyleaf, Black Eyed Peas, Hans Zimmer, Styx, Paramore, Pink, Ozzy Osbourne, Gwen Stefani, Mika, Meat Loaf, LMFAO, Lily Allen, Kesha, Evanescence, David Guetta, Jessie J, Danny Elfman, Florence + The Machine, My Chemical Romance, Fun., Adele, The Ready Set

There's a bunch more, but I love nearly every song of the above artists.

For movies, I love comedies, Disney movies, some action, and some drama. I highly dislike horror movies, especially those with blood and gore. I'm fine with some blood, it depends on how it's depicted, but I'm pretty squeamish and hate being scared.

Some of my favorites for movies are: Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Ace Ventura, Hercules, Finding Nemo, Pirates series, Mulan, Scott Pilgrim, Aladdin, Spirited Away (and the other Studio Ghibli films), Up, Despicable Me, Wall-E, almost all Marvel and DC superhero movies (X-Men series particularly), Emperor's New Groove, Lilo & Stitch

I think you see a pattern there. I'm not really one for watching movies multiple times, and those are the ones that I actually enjoy watching more than once (I doubt I could stand to see any drama or romantic comedy more than once). I like movies that make me happy and feel good, it just happens that most of the time it's Disney movies...

What's your zombie plan?

Depends on the zombie. If it's the fast ones, then cry like a baby and hide for as long as possible. If they're the slower ones, then fight. I'd definitely try to get to an island of some kind either way, hopefully the zombies can't go all Pirates of the Caribbean and walk on the bottom of the water or swim :s

Also, thanks for sharing a well with me, mate. It was a totally weird fucking idea, but I enjoyed it thoroughly and am glad we did ^.^

Same lol

Also, I'll try to think up some questions for you to answer here either tonight or tomorrow before we close out the well.

Thoughts on this song?

It's OK as a radio song, I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it though.

OK @Jellicent, some questions for you now :>

Most interesting or unusual place you've ever been to in Philly, New Jersey, and/or the U.S. in general?

You get an all expense-paid trip to anywhere in the world, where do you go and what do you do?

I think you said you're a vegetarian. Was this something you decided to start doing later in life or something your parents/friends pushed on you? What's your opinion on people who choose to be vegans?

What's something from high school or college that you're most proud of having accomplished?

Favorite non-alcoholic beverage ??

Any pick-up lines you use or are you just a natural-born womanizer?

You're made overlord of the site by popular demand, first ruling or decree ?

Favorite non-Smogon website?

Favorite thing to watch on TV?

Worst thing on TV?

Worst book you've ever read?

You can have any animal as a pet, which do you choose?

Hey guys, you can both answer these questions.

What do you think of the large amount of analyses needing GP checks?

Would Cresselia be a good fit in RU at this point in time?

Predictions for the winner of the RU Open?

Predictions for the winner of the Grand Slam?

How big does the "get stuff done" mentality factor into how much work you're motivated to do for the site?

#rarelyused is da best y/y

Hey guys, you can both answer these questions.

What do you think of the large amount of analyses needing GP checks?

It was probably inevitable we'd end up with another backlog; I wouldn't have expected CP and sirn to stick around forever. Though, this backlog has nothing on the GP backlog of old so I'm not worried for now. We're just in an unfortunate downswing of experienced contributors not interested and no new contributors interested. I have no doubt it'll pick up again in the future because we're always willing to hand out badges for work there.

Would Cresselia be a good fit in RU at this point in time?

I'm not convinced it would be. A hard counter to Nidoqueen that's not completely predictable sounds cool, but Cress was broken as fuck the last time it was here (imo anyway). I don't see what's changed to show that it's any less broken, we don't even have Honch or Sharpedo in the tier anymore to check her. Not to mention she can use Gothi as a teammate to pick out any troublesome Pokemon not named Spiritomb from stopping her SubCM sweep.

Predictions for the winner of the RU Open?

I think Ciele has a real good chance of going all the way to the end and is my top pick. Heist I think though is an underrated threat in RU and may pull it out too. The winner of blarajan and Texas is definitely one to watch too.

Predictions for the winner of the Grand Slam?

Bloo and McMeghan are undeniable threats and some of the best battlers playing the game today. I think either one has a chance of winning it all in the end.

How big does the "get stuff done" mentality factor into how much work you're motivated to do for the site?

A lot lol

#rarelyused is da best y/y

Not a big fan ;-;

Though, if you're looking for that kind of message, you might dig:

Most interesting or unusual place you've ever been to in Philly, New Jersey, and/or the U.S. in general?
Philly is always interesting~

Similarly, NJ is always boring x.x

For the US as a whole, that's rough... I guess the answer should be the Grand Canyon, but really, that's only if you're interested in overwhelming heat and llama poop.

You get an all expense-paid trip to anywhere in the world, where do you go and what do you do?
Fuck, uhhhh, let's say Russia. Cold weather and vodka, here I come!

I think you said you're a vegetarian. Was this something you decided to start doing later in life or something your parents/friends pushed on you? What's your opinion on people who choose to be vegans?
I became a veg... 6ish years ago? Family had nothing to do with it (in fact, I got the "Fox News says vegetarianism is a slow form of suicide" talk from my grandmon ;-; ). Vegans are... intense. I can respect their ideas, but, uh, it's a bit to much for me >.>

What's something from high school or college that you're most proud of having accomplished?
I really cracked out of my shell and opened up in college. I guess that's not as cool as, like, making a flaming plane or something, but, fuck it, I majored in history. TBH, I'm most proud of how I grew over time~

Favorite non-alcoholic beverage ??
Yoohoo or diet orange soda... rough call, really.

Any pick-up lines you use or are you just a natural-born womanizer?
I wouldn't say I'm a womanizer, but, jeeeez, if you wanna get some, why the fuck would you use pick-up lines?

You're made overlord of the site by popular demand, first ruling or decree ?
Let's take a look at the ad revenue vs. bandwidth expenses; if there's overflow, I'd look into how to improve this site. Plus, there's probably a few peeps that should be on payroll at this point, haha.

Favorite non-Smogon website?
I spend too much time on Youtube; such a handy way to share a song or waste some time watching bizarre videos~

Favorite thing to watch on TV?
I don't really watch TV actively :/

But, there's usually something on for background sound when my roomie's around. I (Almost) Got Away With It always piques my interest, though (I think that's what it's called >.>)

Worst thing on TV?
Commercials.

Worst book you've ever read?
A Walk in the Woods. I don't think a title has ever so easily summed up an entire book, and it was about as riveting as you'd expect. Granted, I read that pre-high school, so maybe if I reread it now, I'd have a very different view of it~

You can have any animal as a pet, which do you choose?
Capybara, LGI!

What do you think of the large amount of analyses needing GP checks?
The team's shrinking just as BW2 is really hitting C&C. We could do with some fresh blood, or a return of some old blood. No matter what, I'm sure we've got this, though. Once I have a proper laptop again, I'll probably start tackling some more~

Would Cresselia be a good fit in RU at this point in time?
I love Cressy, but I dunno about that. She would slow down the offensive nature of the tier a bit, though...

Personally, I think Durant might not be too bad an option currently. With Nidoqueen and Moltres around, he's not gonna be able to get too out of hand. On the flip side, we'd have a handy check to Gothitelle. On that note, he could put the hurt on Cressy, too ;)

Predictions for the winner of the RU Open?
C'mon, Tex, you can do it!

Predictions for the winner of the Grand Slam?
Bloo needs a bigger postbit.

How big does the "get stuff done" mentality factor into how much work you're motivated to do for the site?
A lot, haha. When someone puts in a bunch of work and it just sits there, it's kinda sad. I try to not let that happen too much >.>

#rarelyused is da best y/y
#grammar in da house!

how would you put a giraffe in a refrigerator
Baby giraffe, walk-in fridge, looks p easy to me ^.^

I was so enchanted by your beauty that I ran into that wall over there. So I am going to need your name and number for insurance purposes.

How does it feel that Solace's well got like 200 posts and you've got lik 180 for 2 people?
