Oh my, I'm five days due for an RMT. Oh well.
I have an article also entitled "Raining OU: INNOV@TION." Actually, it's a typo, it's really Ubers. It's also Locked, because I put it up too early, but that's ok, because my main intention with that RMT is that people would stop challenging me with all the wrong Clauses (or lack of thereof). http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67331
(speaking of locked threads, I also need a Latias replacement for http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67260)
Anyway, back to business, now. I know, I know. I know that I promised to start doing Baton Pass RMTs, but Latias is banned, and now Salamence is too. Latias definitely won't be returning. Salamence, I am unsure about. Whatever. I'm doing all my Latias teams first. I'm not about to throw away the team unless I can't find a proper replacement. In the end, just tell me what YOU think can best support the team, not as if someone came up to you on the street asking, "Hey, what's a good Rain lead?" Azelf? Bronzong? Celebi? Questions like that are too vague. As always, any ideas with suggestions of stuff like Kabutops or Omastar with no strong backing will be sorta ignored (of course, that applies to everything). With that being said, batter up!
One more thing:
Edit: I'm so, so sorry. The title is misleading. It's my very first Rain Team, not a special "INNOV@TION" team. If only I could change the title...

I mean, COME ON! She was (key word was) as close to a pure Dragon as OU could get, the only thing that resisted Fire, Water, and Electric (and Ground) all at once (that's probably what I'll miss most about her).
Surf and Thunder(bolt) are all common on Latias movepools. She (well no dur) obtains Rain Dance, and healing moves like no tomorrow (Roost, Recover, DualScreens including Safeguard, huge Special and Speed, Magic Coat, Refresh, Psycho Shift, Healing Wish, Wish, Roar, and even Waterfall for Godsakes). So why, prithee tell me why, was I the only one who used Latias in a Rain team (and I seldomly saw her with Kyogre, even).
Um, anyways, I guess it's pretty obvious why I used Latilead for Rain... Of course, all Latias replacements are best if they resemble the original moveset/typing as much as possible. Dragonite can run an identical moveset (along with other moves), but that's a Rock weakness without any resists or even a Rapid Spinner. Latias also had an Electric resist. Then again, I'm using Draco Meteor without any recovery move; this Latias was born to be disposable. So anyway, my question is this: Dragonite, or someone else like Bronzong so that the team slowly no longer lives up to being a subject of Project: INNOV@TION? The EV's are strange, but I must have had some reason for them...I think (that's really not the case anymore, though).

Sorry for that long ranting. So now, *yawn* Yeah, yeah, Electric and Ground resist, with STAB Thunder and Hydro Pump. I'm running just someone who holds heavy fir-waterpower and a quick Rain, but all this lovely laundromatting goodness seems somewhat bland. But anyways, it's my main Rain set-up.

No need for Rapid Spin, really, so no Kabutops (I usually have that guy as a supporting role). Anyway, main differences: Kabutops is stronger and faster, while Relicanth is much, much, bulkier. Likewise, the moves follow suit (Waterfall and Rock Slide for the flinch, rather Aqua Tail and Stone Edge for the power). Also, does Yawn stall my own Rain? It gives me some Status, at least. But do I really need to be phazing?

Well, plain Crocune, plain dangerous. It helps immensely in a pinch, and works great out of Rain (even better when it's in, though I may be too busy setting up otherwise, while it definitely is a good stray from the boring norm). So I guess Suicune pretty much qualifies as the bulky sweeper of this team, no? Say what you want, it's effective.

They're in different tiers, different types, different Egg Groups - and one thing they manage to be the same is their sex. Yet, Kingdra somehow married Ludicolo to rule the Rain Dance Kingdom (Kyogre, Manaphy, and Palkia would be the Government Trinity). That being said, Ludicolo is tailored to be more than a sweeper than Kingdra, of course. Kingdra sets up Rain himself and goes for full power attacks. Ludilicious here Life Orbs generic type coverage stuff. Or maybe it should be Expert Belt? (Off-topic: I just noticed Ludicolo has Fire Punch. That'll be useful when I'm using Sunny Day Ludicolo or maybe even Swords Dance; I use either sometimes.)

Tyranitar and Abomasnow naturally screw Weather teams. Tyranitar isn't so much of a problem, due to the natural Water weakness (weakness to Ludicolo especially). It can't really switch in and I can re-deploy Rain no problem. Still causes me trouble, somehow.
Abomasnow, well, on the bright side, Relicanth and Ludicolo can hit it super-effectively. The power behind Kingdra's Draco Meteor makes it just as well as a super hit.
Crocune can also do some stallfest; I notice my only Thunder users are Latias and Rotom.
Latias is my only Grass resist, especially when you consider that there are two weaknesses (one double-weak and it's supposed to be defensive). Also, it's not like Kingdra can take repeated hits, and Ludicolo has good Special Def but he has a Life Orb...but Suicune can take hits rather well...it's not as big a problem as I thought. Same goes for Electric, I suppose. The big thing was that both Latias and Kingdra are weak to Dragon, but I suppose opposing Dragons are diminishing as well. Anyways, does that mean I shouldn't replace Latias with Dragonite (and use Kabutops with Rapid Spin over Yawn)? The type is vastly different. As of right now, Rotom is really the only one who can halt Celebi, if that helps (Dragonite gets Aerial Ace/Outrage/Draco Meteor STAB and Blizzard/Ice Beam/Ice Punch, or do you want me to lead using Scizor?). I suppose Blissey lead is possible, but that's frownable. I also tried that once with little success. Jirachi? Meh... Remember, I picked Latias for her great type, Thunder, Surf, and Draco Meat STAB (and the fact she has Rain Dance and can bluff a lot of recovery).
