PS Name: Fragments
Co-Manager (if any): PrinceOfAllTacos
Proposed Mascot: Zeraora
What is your managing experience, if any?: I have managed around 30 tours on this site, having made playoffs in all but a handful of those. I managed RBTT 3 times, making semis in RBTT5, finals in RBTT3, and winning RBTT4. Poat has managed several iterations of BLT, along with all iterations of WCOR, the first RBEL, and now CCC.
Why would you make a good manager?: I have played in every iteration of RBTT since its inception and have been a mainstay of the rands playerbase before it was even a public room. I am also one of the most accomplished managers in this tour having never missed playoffs. Poat had also played the last five iterations of RBTT and has been one of the most active community members for a while now. We bring extensive knowledge of the playerbase, managerial success, and a solid understanding of how to make strong and active teams that will both perform well and foster a fun, energetic environment.
Confirming we in it to win it(if picked)

PS Name: temp
Co-Manager (if any): Icemaster
Proposed Mascot: :meloetta: Meloetta :meloetta-pirouette:
What is your managing experience, if any?: Icemaster has an extensive managing career with strong results. He managed UPL this year and won, shadow-managed OMPL twice, winning and making finals. Ice managed AGPL 4 times with a win, runner-up, and playoffs placements. There's also 5 TPP managing appearances, winning 4 times and making playoffs. I've managed TPP 2 times on top of AGWL, AGPL, and UMPL. I won AGWL and AGPL back to back while reaching playoffs in the latest UMPL. We have lots of managing experience to bring to the table.
Why would you make a good manager?: Strong managerial performances aside, we've been on RBTT teams with great environments and good results. Icemaster is familiar with Randbats, winning the latest RBTT with Team Chi-Yu, and there’s myself who's been on Team Hoopa for three consecutive iterations, a team that is no stranger to making playoffs. We know what it takes to lead a team in the right direction, not just for tours in general, but for this RBTT, and we'll make sure our teammates have fun in the process.
Confirming

PS Name: Drifting
Co-Manager: Elgino
Proposed Mascot: Regigigas :regigigas:
What is your experience/Why would you make a good manager?:

I captained RBEL with my team coming first place. I then captained WCOR with my team coming 2nd place, and then was runner-up in the Rands Slam playoffs, showcasing my abilities as a capable player and leader who can foster a fun but competitive environment. I’ve also made playoffs managing some teams in non-rands formats. I may not be a rands auth but I’m very knowledgeable of the community at this point and a provably solid talent scout, so I’m confident in my ability to leverage that knowledge into a strong draft.

Elgino of course was my co-manager in RBEL and a knowledgeable Rands Veteran and Slam
Winner in his own right.

It’s time for Team Metagross to run it back on the big stage.

PS Name: Roginald
Co-Manager (if any): pokeblade101
Proposed Mascot: :zygarde: Zygarde :zygarde:
What is your managing experience, if any?: The last 5 RBTTs and countless other tours, while blade has managed a few RBTTs and taken part in all 7.
Why would you make a good manager?:
We’re back for the 3peat.
My RBTT record currently sits at 3 wins, 1 finals, 1 semis and missed playoffs once. We know the community inside out and will have a stellar team environment. DMs are open for those who want to come along for the ride :psywoke:
Confirming the 3peat

PS Name: Clementine
Co-Manager (if any): Dark Pulse
Proposed Mascot: Ho-Oh
What is your managing experience, if any?: After an legendary 5-1-1 regular season run last RBTT with Team Ogerpon-H, and an unfortunate, heartbreaking confrontation between our respective teams in WCoR Semi Finals, Pulse & I have decided to run it back this year to claim the title we need and deserve.
I have managed RBTT 3 times, making playoffs in each occurrence and winning the whole thing back in RBTT4, and managed France in WCoR thrice as well, with a great run this year up until semi-finals.
Pulse has similar experience, managing Team Ogerpon all the way to semis and Team Oceania to finals in 2024.
Why would you make a good manager?: On top of these results, our managing pair is unmatched. Thanks to our respective timezones and availabilities, we will be available for 24 hours a day for the entire duration of this tournament, making sure our teammates are in the best conditions to play and have the best tournament possible.
2024 was great for both of us, we'll start 2025 with a bang and a RBTT win.
Confirmer avec Clémentine

What is your managing experience, if any? I have managed in the past two iterations of CCC, as well as in past OM snake tours. LW has managed in draft league team tours, and we both have shadowmanaged za in past WCORs.
Why would you make a good manager?: LW and i have been heavily involved in the random battles scene for a few years now. We're committed to fielding a competitive team while also having a good time and giving a spotlight to new up and coming players. We are also knowledgeable across formats and well integrated within the scene, and we hope to bring this passion and experience to rbtt!

PS Name: Irpachuza!
Co-Manager (if any): Chains of Markov
Proposed Mascot:
1733842225985.png
What is your managing experience, if any?:
I've managed RBTT's Hoopas 4 times, leading them to playoffs thrice (also won it twice as player).
I've managed the underdog Latam team to WCoR's playoffs twice.
Furthermore, I've also won CCC twice as a manager, and my team is once again currently in playoffs.

Chains has managed Benelux in WCoR to an epic championship, reached playoffs once more, and went to another final as player.
Furthermore, he managed RBEL last year.

Why would you make a good manager?:
After Nate's retirement, the hoopas want to enter a new chapter. We expect that Chains will bring his amazing knowledge of every meta in existence and their playerbase, along with something NaR and I could never bring: someone that knows the typechart. My experience prepping the RBTT draft and weekly lineups along with working up the team spirit and motivation should complement great with CoM's extremely active role in the community, making us a very solid managing duo.

Yes hello I'm Nate 2.0 but like an apple product where the 2.0 version is not necessarily any better than 1.0

Co-Manager (if any): Buhrito
Proposed Mascot: Tapu Lele
What is your managing experience, if any?
I have managed the Smogon Premier League twice (made playoffs both times), managed SCL, fulfilled a management role in WCOP, won a number of unofficial tournaments as a manager, managed ROAPL/OUPL/etc., and also work in project management professionally outside of Smogon.

Why would you make a good manager?
I always do my homework when I manage team tournaments, making sure to gain an intimate understanding of the player pool and draft the best options available, regardless of outside perception. I will scour the four corners of Pokemon Showdown to find the best players possible in order to assemble an unstoppable random battles team with the help of Buhrito, who is a prominent member of the random battles community (having won the last two RBTTs as a player AND won this year's WCOR as a playing manager)

PS Name: Eeveon7
Co-Manager (if any): Rage
Proposed Mascot: Lunala :lunala:
What is your managing experience, if any?
Eeveon7: WCOR Canada 2024, VGC WCOP 2023-2024, VGC PL 3. I also like making team tour spreadsheets
Rage: RBTT3 -> RBTT7, WCOR x2
Why would you make a good manager?:
Rage and I have been highly involved in the randbats community for the past couple years through set dev (oldgens, randdubs), Room Auth (Owner, Voice), and rands tour hosting. Rage and I are also involved in ROA/Tournaments and VGC, effectively leading our communities through resource/project creation, tour hosting, and team organization. Rage is in their redemption arc and I'm fresh off a strong VGC WCOP performance; the Canadian CL duo is excited to use our experience and knowledge to craft a strong and supportive team community ready to take the title!

Proposed Mascot: ARCANIIIIINE :arcanine:
What is your managing experience, if any?
Maswood: RBTT5, WCOR 2023, WCOP 2023
Shadows: n/a
Why would you make a good manager?:
I've been consistently playing rands for over half a decade now, and this would be my fifth RBTT. I'm on the dev council and I'm very good at maintaining a cool head in stressful situations. Most importantly, I know many community members, and would like to build a team that's both competitive AND fun. The team Arcanine discord will be open to all weary travelers and RBTT rejects.

Maswood has managed multiple teams before, and been an upstanding member of the rands community and rands auth for many years. Maswood was at the helm of the SECOND team Arcanine back in 2022--a team whose legacy is still whispered about with awe and devotion from the rands community. But his achievements don't end there; Maswood took Team Bangladesh to the group stages from qualifications for the first time in both OU and randbats. Maswood has climbed Mount Everest, gone to space, managed teams, and been the key mediator in multiple international conflicts. Do not doubt him.

Last but not least....

PS Name: Larry
Co-Manager (if any): Dave
Proposed Mascot: Ogerpon
What is your managing experience, if any? Our results speak for themselves. Dave and I have managed just about every team tournament on this website to considerable success over the course of 2023. (CAPCL, NPL, SMPL, UUFPL, ADVPL, VGCPL, DPPPL, NUPL, PMPL, CAPPL, SSPL, BDSPPL, UPL, AGPL, BWPL, MPL, PUPL, LCPL, ZUPL, ROAPL, NDMPL, BSSPL, TPP, ORASPL, SCL and SPL) Furthermore, I made playoffs in the past 5 official team tournaments consecutively, 3 of those 5 times as a manager, and Dave has a top 10 spot in the hall of fame.
Why would you make a good manager?: On top of us being the probably most infamous and experienced manager duo on the entire website, we are familiar with all aspects of team tournaments - be it hosting, managing or playing - and we both also have considerable experience with random battles. Dave consistently sits in the high 2000s on the random battles ladder and I've been playing random battle team tournaments for a while, while also keeping a keen eye on MichaelderBeste2's YouTube channel to keep up with the circuit. We are looking to expand our campaign to random battles, and are ready to fully commit to this tournament. You can ask any of the >200 players we have worked with so far for testimonials on our managerial prowess.

Proposed Mascot: Zacian-Crowned
What is your managing experience, if any?
Tref has managed Garchomp in RBEL destroying everyone. I've shadow managed tours such as ADPL, FCL and some discord tours.
Why would you make a good manager?:
Both Tref and me are motivated and are just here for the ride. If we get drafted we will make the most fire team to ever win RBTT. We also are both very active in the rands community and Tref made RBTT and made top 16 of Rand Slam in the past while I made slam playoffs top 16 this year. Lastly, we're both french. What is not to love ?

I know I speak for both Cake and myself when I say we've never had a better problem on Smogon than choosing from the absolute embarrassment of riches on display in this thread. After considering many, many factors, we ultimately chose to prioritize a healthy mix of managing pairs, ranging from established franchises and returning champions to fresh blood and up-and-comers. The teams and managers of RBTT VIII are:

Team Keldeo, Jordy004 & Michielleus
Team Zarude, za & LoSconosciuto
Team Ho-Oh, Clementine & Dark Pulse
Team Zygarde, Roginald & pokeblade101
Team Regigigas, Drifting & Elgino
Team Suicune, Amaranth & Syrinix
Team Zeraora, Fragments & PrinceOfAllTacos
Team Hoopa, Irpachuza & Chains of Markov

Thank you to everyone who applied; this was not an easy decision, and you all have our respect. We'll see you soon—either in RBTT VIII, or perhaps in RBEL II...!
