This is a team I plan to use in super singles. I have not tested this team, as currently I don't have the pokemon I need. It looks good on paper, though, and I hope to test it out soon. Also, I have no idea what items, EV spreads, nature, etc to use with these pokemon. I have chosen these pokemon because their abilities and types seem to compliment each other.
Tyranitar-I use tyranitar to get my sand up and to deal as much damage as possible before going down. He also doesn't mind the ghost and dark attacks that jellicent is weak to. Due to his multiple weaknesses, I'm not expecting tyranitar to sweep every single time, and I also don't want him to become setup fodder if he isn't going to sweep.
Excadrill-Excadrill is my main offensive powerhouse. He will destroy teams!! I'm not sure whether to use sand strength or sand rush (I'm hoping to get some help with this). Thanks to his ground typing, he can also absorb the electric attacks that jellicent fears.
Jellicent-Jellicent is my tank. Thanks to his excellent typing, he doesn't mind the fighting, steel, and water attacks that tyranitar fears. He can also absorb the fire attacks excadrill despises. To top it all off, he has access to an instant recovery move. Seems like the right bulky water for my team, but I'm open to other suggestions.
My main weaknesses are ground and grass type pokemon. I plan on having x-scissor on excadrill to help with this problem, and I expect tyranitar to be able to take a couple hits before going down.
