(Aerodactyl) @ Focus Sash
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
A pretty standard Aerodactyl lead. Taunt is used to prevent other leads from setting up, and Stealth Rock is there to help out my other sweepers. I chose to use Rock Slide instead of Stone Edge because I would rather have accuracy than power, and the flinch rate is pretty high.
Aerodactyl is my lead because he is one of the fastest Pokemon in the game, he is fast enough to stop other slower leads from setting themselves up. Max Speed EVs and a nature that boosts Speed so that Aerodactyl will reach max speed, outspeeding most leads. The problem is that Aerodactyl is used so often, that I may have to face other Aerodactyls, and I can't really leave whoever goes first to luck.
(Latias) @ Leftovers
EVs: 112 HP/204 SpA/192 Spe
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Recover
- Dragon Pulse
Calm Mind Latias, Hidden Power Fire is for Scizors, and Recover is to heal from hard attacks. Energy Ball is there to hit water-types like Swampert and Donphan.
I wanted to use Latias in a team ever since she got into OU. She's in my team because she's pretty sturdy because of her high Sp.Def, and her okay Sp.Atk stat can be used to sweep other Pokemon. I'll use Calm Mind whenever I threaten something to switch, or when I can anticipate a switch. I'm still deciding whether or not I should use Calm Mind, or if I should use Recover or not. Latias also covers most of Metagross' and Lucario's weaknesses.
(Lucario) @ Life Orb
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Inner Focus
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- ExtremeSpeed
- Crunch
One swords dance and Close Combat will deal some massive damage, ExtremeSpeed is pretty useful because of its high priority over other moves. I chose to use Crunch to cover against Cresselia and Ghost types.
Lucario is in this team because I needed a good Physical Sweeper that could cover my other Pokemon's weaknesses. Max EV's in Attack and a nature that increases Attack will max out Lucario's Attack stat. I chose to use Crunch over Ice Punch because I didn't think Salamence would threaten my team much.
(Gliscor) @ Leftovers
EVs: 116 HP/176 Def/216 Spe
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sand Veil
- Taunt
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Roost
Gliscor also knows Taunt, I gave Gliscor Earthquake, and Aerial Ace to give him more coverage, I'm debating whether or not to replace on of his moves for Stealth Rock, so that if Aerodactyl's stealth rocks were to get rapid spinned, I would have a back-up spiker.
Gliscor is in my team because he overall is a great wall, and can also deal some good damage against other Pokemon. Aerial Ace to cover against Heracross, Roost to heal some damage.
(Vaporeon) @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpD
Nature: Bold
Ability:
- Wish
- Surf
- Protect
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Vaporeon is my Special Wall/Physical Wall. He is also my wish supporter as well. I gave Vaporeon Ice Beam so that he could kill off Dragons, and I also gave him Hidden Power Electric to surprise unaware Gyarados.
Vaporeon is in my team because I was using Tentacruel before. Tentacruel could wall Mixape, but couldn't wall against Heatran very well, I was told to use Vaporeon instead, and I did. Vaporeon is my Water Sponge, he switches into water attacks.
(Metagross) @ Shuca Berry
EVs: 152 HP/252 Atk/104 Spe
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Clear Body
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Agility
- ThunderPunch
Metagross can easily take care of Pokemon who have a weakness against Ground, and ThunderPunch is for Gyarados. Metagross uses Agility when I threaten something to switch out. STAB Meteor Mash can do a load of damage to Rhyperior, as well, Earthquake can take a lot of HP off of a Choice Band TTar, and will often kill a Dragon Dance TTar. Shuca Berry is sorta a second chance, if I cant predict an incoming Earthquake. Tentacruel and Latias cover Metagross' weakness to Fire, Latias covers his weakness against Electric.
Metagross is in my team because he too covers most of my Pokemon's weaknesses, and overall is pretty useful, I would use Agility when I can predict a switch-out.
