ive recently started using smogon and this is my current team

drapion
ninjask

also please say any improvements that could be done as i need help thanks :)

You probably should tell us what moves and items they have, for starters...

And your EV spreads, as well as why you put them on your team. I suggest that you look around this subforum to see how other teams are presented to get an idea of what a good rmt is supposed to look like.

so is the team bad as i have other pokemon that i can use

Ok, wow, obviously your way to new to even begin to think about starting to make an RMT, all you listed was 6 pokemon, no ev spread, no natures, NO MOVES! Let me give you an example of how each pokemon your putting in the RMT should be analyzed:

<Pokemon>@ <item>
Ability:
EVs:
Nature:

[Attack] [Attack]
[Attack] [Attack]
After the set you should also give a good explanation of the following things

  1. Why this Pokemon?
  2. An Explanation of the Move-set
  3. An Explanation of the item
  4. An Explanation of the EV Spread
This needs to be done with every Pokemon, you can just simply list 6 pokemon, expect us to know how what moves they have, especially because I expect that your new and run very unorthodox movesets. If appropriate changes aren't made, I guarantee you this post will be locked.

Oh also, you used the incorrect word in your title, new instead of knew....

Click this link, http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19179, read it carefully and make sure you post correctly.

oh okay hows this then and i chose this team as it was what i liked and what i had at the time

LUDICOLO@leftovers
252hp 252specialD
Ability: Raindish
Modest
Moves:

i chose these moves so that it can be a seeder with additional healing for annoyance to the opponent.

SCEPTILE@choicespecs
252speed 252 spa
Overgrow
Timid nature
moves:
energy ball
swagger
dragon pulse
focus blast

i chose this set as he is my special sweeper and have a gd varied moveset

SALAMENCE@expertbelt
252speed 252 atk
intimidate
adament nature
moves:
earthquake
stone edge
dragon claw
aerial ace

i chose this set as my physical sweeper and has good moveset along with two effective stabs

GALLADE@lifeorb (1 of my favs)
252atk 252 speed
ability: steadfast
jolly nature
moves:
psycho cut
leaf blade
swords dance
close combat

i chose this set for another physical attacker with a boost trait and a gd special ish wall at 243

Drapion@blacksludge
252hp 252speed
ability:battle armour
impish nature
moves:
ice fang
crunch
thunderfang
toxic spikes

i chose this a toxic terror to inflict posion to help me in a battle with residual damage with some good assit coverage moves

NINJASK@leftovers
252hp 252 speed
ability:speed boost
timid nature
moves:
protect
baton pass
swords dance
substitue

i chose this guy for a baton passer to boost a teamate earlly or late game to help possibly win a battle and turn the tide

so this is my team my very first 1 so its probably bad so i am going to attempt to make improvements and choose a team so and opinions or suugestions would be great cheers :)

Descriptions could still use a bit more (if you look at some of the top-quality RMTs, they all spend multiple sentences describing every Pokémon), but it's a start.

Big problem I see right off the bat: three Pokémon weak to Ice and three weak to Flying, with no resistances to either. Any Pokémon with a strong attack of one of those types would tear through your team.

okay thanks jw would you like a battle just to test it haha even though you would win

You need to EDIT your original post with the changes you've made. Look at your original post and there should be an option to do this in the bottom right-hand corner of the post.

Also, if you're going to use things like Salamance, then the rest of your team needs to match the metagame that Salamance is used in; most of your Pokemon are in the RU tier, so I'd recommend making the ENTIRE team for RU.

Additionally, actually play the tier with the team you make, it helps you to find out the obvious flaws and fix them yourself so we don't have to.

I appreciate new players and I'm glad you've tried to build something as well as fix up your RMT, but I will warn you now that this is probably going to be locked by a mod.

I'd rather not go into the team critique itself as I don't really know how and where this team is supposed to be used, but I do encourage you to get involved with a single metagame and stick to Pokemon that work best inside of it.

First of all, you need to update the actual post if you want to make changes, and second of all these descriptions are still extremely lacking, try to dedicate at least a paragraph to each Pokemon.
