not a sim feature, it's calcdex cheating as usual (we should ban calcdex and make people actually use their brains again)

These are two screenshots of Starmie and Hypno's recovery moves(Recover and Rest respectively) taken just a few seconds ago. I don't have CalcDex or any other extensions installed

New bingo just dropped, same rules as prior and the same prize except for 3 things.
1. New bingo is 7x7.
2. You need 2 different bingos to win - any two columns/rows/7 tile diagonals works.
3. Only Week 2 games and on count for this bingo.

Hopefully this lasts more than one week... here's the board. Old boards are invalid.

I want to express my thoughts about some scumbag behavior that happened in the semis between me and LNumbers. My intention here is to express my feelings to the community, and then move on and drop it. Enjoy my first ever public crashout on this site.
I'll start by saying nobody should be trying to reverse the result or anything of the sort. It was a good set, good games, and I wish I could've enjoyed playing them without the stress of the irl clock. Obviously I wish they went the other way, but I'm not going up here to whine about the result. ggs wp.

But I will whine about the absolute blatant disrespect of my time and me. Here's the situation. LNumbers and I agreed to a bo5 at 10am-8/7pm+1. 22mins before scheduled time, he requests a 30min delay. At 10:30 -8 (gonna keep all times in -8 going forward here) we ping the team and he says he is getting on stours. 10 mins go by and he's not online, so I mention I have a hard stop at noon. He does not appear and chal me until 10:42, 42mins after scheduled time, 12mins after manager ping. G1&2 go long, it is now 11:54 and I asked if we can revert to a bo3 for time reasons, since he was 42mins late. He claims his team wont let him. He then takes 7 mins between G2&3 AND G3&4, AND 11mins between G4&5. Overall this topped at me waiting over an hour for this guy, and we don't finish the set until 1:22pm, almost 3.5hrs after the original scheduled time. 2hrs should've been plenty enough of a time window to finish this.

This is why we have to have discussions about the rules in threads like this. This is why people have to claim activity wins, even when it sucks. This is why we make a big deal about it. For some context, we just had a discussion about time wasting and I outlined my opinions on the matter here. In that post, in Rant1 I talk about how someone wasted my time up to 1 min before activity. Guess who this person was? LNumbers. Dude. Show up to your games at scheduled time. This is a pattern of not respecting the rules because you think you can get away with it.
You're either doing this on purpose to fuck with my mental, or you're just incredibly inconsiderate. Congratulations, you successfully got in my head and had me stressed out about irl clock, and it impacted my play. good work. Either way it's scummy behavior, and it impacted my fun and enjoyment of the game. So to anyone else who ever plays me (if I even sign up for another tour on this site), there's no more leeway. I'm sorry, but if you fuck up, LNumbers took all my patience and I have none left for you.
To the rest of the tortles, you should be furious about this behavior. Not only did he nearly cost you an act win in a semifinal, but it makes you all look like scumbags.
Alright that's enough dogpiling on one person; to be clear, I don't want anyone else publicly talking shit on him. That is my right as the person whose time was wasted, and I want to vent. No one else should say anything about the specific person, just the behavior. I want to transition to my main point here.

Yes, I should've pushed for bo3 harder. Yes I should've just called activity. That's my entire point. This is why I should call act at every possible opportunity. This is why I don't play this game more, because of the frequency with which ppl waste my time! I'm here to play the fucking game, and if you can't keep a schedule, I'm the one who has to make the sacrifice on my time? I have to take more time away from my family, work, friends, responsibilities because you suck at time management? Absolutely not - I should just call act.
The more people enforce the rule and call activity, the less we will need to.

At a certain point, we need to ask ourselves as a community what behavior do we want to cultivate, because everything cannot coexist. Do we want a culture of immaturity, unreliability, and consequence free behavior (including all that comes with that), or do we want to expect decency and reliability and consequences. I simply cannot fit this hobby into my life if people disrespect my time in this way. Sure I suck, I don't grind enough, skill issue; whatever, I don't care. I'm just here to play a GAME that I loved as a child with a portion of my limited free time in life. If I can't guarantee timeslots, I just don't get to play.

So that's it, would you rather have ppl who waste your time and don't show up, or would you rather have act calls and me? You can't have both.

LNumbers, I'm sorry to publicly flame you here; I need to make a point that this behavior isn't ok, and you happen to be the guy at other end.
I'm gonna go get a strong drink and forget this site exists for the rest of the night.

I would just like to note the above incident led to a 2 point/90 day unsportsmanlike conduct infraction, as well as a warning that future repeats will mean more infracts of increasing severity and/or an RBYPL ban. Obviously it's pretty late into this tournament and infractions don't do anything in and of themselves till you rack up 4 points, but it's not like we will just forget about this going forward, we will keep infracting behaviors like this till they stop happening, which I think they quickly will when people start getting smogbanned and/or tourbanned from RBY tournaments.

Either way, sorry this happened to you, it's really hard to give people the benefit of the doubt when you get screwed like this sometimes.

I want to express my thoughts about some unfair, unjustified behavior that happened in the commencent thread towards LNumbers. My intention here is to show a couple facts about how the allegations toward him are way over the top despite them being subjective. Enjoy
I'll start by saying nobody should be calling anyone "scumbag" over ciscumstances that relates to a video game hobby, even tho the stakes are high and feelings going all over the place. Not agreeing with someones way of doing things is alright but insults should not be the way to share your opinion on the matter as it dosen't add any weight or arguments to the point you are making.

Now I will whine about the absolute blatant entitlement people have and how precious their time is. You signed up for the tournament, you read about the rules you are aware of what playing competitive pokémon tournaments implies: Yes; it requires a lot of free time. Yes, your opponent have the right to take a break inbetween games to discuss team and strategies with his team in a teamtournament setting (whats the point of having teamtournaments otherwise? wouldnt they be glorified individuals?) Yes, you are free to take gentlemans agreements but once its done don't complain about your opponent not willing to reverse them while the set already started. Yes, you did get notified before the start that your opponent will be late (earlier than the notice your teammate gave to LNumbers team i may add). Yes you could have asked for a reschedule or have a splitted series if you were running low on time. Yes, best of 5 can go over 3hours, ask boomers that played double reflect wars about it. Yes, your opponent can (and should) maximise his odds at winning for his own sake and his team as long as its withing the rules (so far so good), this is not bad sportmanship, this is competitiveness.

This is why we must have discussions how your time isn't everything and how scheduling work. No is a viable answer you can do it. Putting the blame on your opponent, after agreeing to what he offered and turning personnal time management issues as him being fishy is a low blow, even tho you feel screwed about the situation, you are the one who put yourself in this situation and he's by no mean responsible for how you plan your activities or your inability to say: "I cant".
To the rest of the gampus, you should be proud of yourselves. Not only did you made good attempts at getting into your opponents head with the winposting and overall banter provided but also gave tortles a 10minutes notice that your manager would be late to his game, further pushing the concept of getting them off their A game, but it makes you all look like competitive driven players as all of this is allowed by the rules. Not only you raised the stakes of the semi-final but also contributed to everyone enjoyement and hype toward the deciding series.
Alright that's enough dogpiling on one person; to be clear, I don't think anyone has the right to insult people over decisions they took by themselves. I don't think you should be entitled to such behavior because a break took 7 minutes 42 seconds instead of 4 minutes 58 seconds. No one in their right mind would blame others for lack of personnal time management or lack of nerves management especially in a competitive setting.
No, you shouldn't try to revert an agreement midset because it dosent work in your favor anymore. No, asking for activity when there multiples solutions around the issue is not okay, its fishing. That's my entire point. We all make mistakes and we learn from them, we don't blame others for our own actions or justify results through external means, it is cope. This is why competitiveness isn't always fun, because people will try to win despite your feelings. We're here to fucking compete, and if you can't understand the full implications when the stakes are high then maybe it's isnt for you, maybe take more time to look at things from a perspective that isn't yours ? Yes - that would be more impactul to you than any threats towards futures opponents. The more you work on yourself the less you look for external factors to justify personnal actions.

At a certain point, we need to accept what competitive culture implies, because fun & results can't always cohexist. Do we want a culture of act fishing, copium, and the ability to win without even booting the game (including all that comes with that), or do we want to expect adaptation, good decision making and a show worth the commitment. We simply have to be better at time management (sky is the limit) control over our feels. Sure it takes times, happens. It all start as a fun hobby until you get good enough to care about it and put expectations on yourself. We loved as a child and we will love it as adults.

Acetylaldehyde, I'm sorry to publicly break it to you ; I need to make a point that this behavior isn't ok, and you happen to be the guy at other end.
I'm gonna load up a ladder game because this is where the blitzing, the fast, the clicking, the fun lies.
