I remember Life is Hera Weak, when people were discussing how Heracross would become absolute top, broken OU, thanks to Poison spikes and Stone Edge.

This is my favorite old thread ever. It was when every single Pokemon's base stats and types got revealed (and was funily enough before most of the sprites were revealed). Everybody's reactions to some of the type combos, and Regigigas's stats, and so on were hilarious. And getting 10 posts per minute in a thread is pretty cool too.

Everyone seemed to hate Forretress at that time, and I was claiming that it's "sexy". It has always been in the top 20 in the usage list... which makes it unquestionably OU. Funny.

Oh, and "I suck at EVs and making movesets". Funny, considering I made the Defense EVs applet and ended up writing a few of the DP analyses. Seems like I've come a long way since then.
 
I liked when I joined and all the threads were like that.
I still say a few of the japanese names for the pokemon on accident, like Mojanbo or Beruberuto or Dotaitos (Doritos), not so much anymore.

The best was the Kristy Haruka set for Floatzel and how specsmence was going to ruin everything.

Man those were good times. I remember when Sandstorm's +50% Sp.Def to Rock types got revealed and everyone shit their pants. Tyranitar, Rhyperior, Cradily, Shuckle, lol even Rampardos, all of these guys were gonna be "impossible" to take down.

Then D/P came out and everyone remembered how much shit typing Rock is.

Rofl, hopefully that pokemon gets levitate or something. Weak to ground,fight,ice,dragon,steel kind of sucks :/

Yeah, I remember when Specsmence was supposed to be the second coming of jesus. But honestly, the only reason it isn't broken/rapes less is cause the second or first (depending what month you're in) most popular pokemon in the game takes a dump on it.

I remember how sad everyone got when Hidden Power turned special too. "No Hp:Bug on Dugtrio?!?! Cerebii IS TEH UBAR!!1111!!"
 
Rofl I just was reading the stats/types thread and we were trying to match sprites with stats and someone posted Wormadam-G's spread and a sprite of Aruseus and a question mark and it was pretty funny you had to see it I think it was the fourth page.

God it took forever to stop saying some of the Japanese names - kabarudon, dosaidon, erliade, dootakun - and even longer to get over the attack names. I was still saying shit like in fight and feather rest for months, and I still mix up Flare Drive and Flare Blitz, but anyway, great thread, that BST page is hilarious
 
Haha, this thread brings back so many memories. The 50% boost to rock types in SS was the one I particularly remember, everyone crapped their pants over rhyperior.
