Resistance combos.

Yo.

A point that was brought up in the "How to build an offensive team" was to include Pokemon to cover each others resistances. Ideally, it would be good to fit 2 of these combos in an offensive team. But what combos of these sorts are there?
Heatran + Celebi.
Salamence + Jirachi.
Empoleon + Gliscor.

Again it is a key part of an offensive team and maybe every team to have at least one of these combos, be it if both Pokemon are offensive or Defensive.

Forretress + Slowbro is an effective Physical wall combo in my experience.
They take each other's weaknesses and hit from with physical and special hits.

EDIT:
Salamence+Jirachi is also true with Dragonite or Flygon and Metagross or Bronzong.

Bulky Maggy+Wishmence are pretty damn good for taking hits+healing the team. Ofc, with the huge number of common weaks, you have to be pretty good at predicting to take full advantage of this combo.

Steelix+Gyarados

Best type covering, Steelix cant set up Rocks and blow a dangerous Pokemon up. Gyara should be clear^^

Gengar+Steel works great aswell, aslong as the second type isnt Psychic
(Bronzong and Metagross, i mean you)

Mantine/Lanturn is a great special walling combo.

Mantine takes everything but TBolt and Lanturn takes TBolt. Also Mantine is immune to EQ.

I like Slowbro and Hippowdon. Slowbro can't handle things like Tyranitar or Heracross, but Hippowdon can. Slowbro wall Gyarados and others Waterfall users better than Hippowdon.

Both have average if not low sp.def. Both can't take 2 hits from Thunderbolt gengar. I don't think its an effective combo.

Well, I normally use this combo with Blissey to wall Special Hits as well and use Slowbro and Forry as Physical Walls. They also counter most of the physical threats in Dp.

Only Heatrans Fighting wekaness isnt resisted by Sceptile, so Celebi is the better Partner for heatran.

@Slice: Xou are too slow xD I am planning a team with the combo, do you have any suggestions which Pokemon would fit well with them?

"Combos" are pointless IMO when people bring up "Pokemons that uses both SE moves"

So I'd just stick with generalness such as Cresselia walling the shit out of everything neutral etc etc

HEatran+Parasect are the ultimate combos Parasect are immune to Water, fighting resistance and 4x resistance to Ground while Heatran can take in Fire absorbing thx to Flash Fire and toghether only rocks hits for neutral all other are resisted toghether.

Heh, one awesome combo is Bulky Gyarados and Wish + U-Turn Jirachi. Takes Stone Edges like nothing and Earthquakes like nothing... it's just the fact that when you combine them... eh. Jirachi pairs nicely with Salamence too (Mixmence comes to mind). I've also liked Celebi + Heatran combo as well, to some extent. I'm not a huge fan of this, only because you can't have a solid combo, since a Pokemon could carry both Fire and Ground moves (lol Heatran).

@Arcadia Oni: Your combo isnt really resisting each others weakness well, though they wall a lot of physical Sweepers. Both share a Grass weakness

But IT'S a combo to wall physical sweepers ._.
There aren't much sweepers with physical grass attacks though. Slowbro can handle Tangrowth, only Abomasnow (and some Torterras) can give problems.

Lucario is a great compliment to a psychic type, and if the Psychic levitates, it can return the favour. Grass & Waters are great together, and Gyarados/Salamence are great help for Steel types, and pack Intimidate, too.

I see Jirachi + Salamence getting several mentions--and for good reason. As a matter of fact, my current team has a DDMence and an Agiligross. One switches into attacks aimed at the other, sets up, and sweeps away! It's amazing how they're both capable of sweeping entire teams...

I usually run Empoleon + Gliscor on most of my standard teams, and sometimes I throw Mesprit into the mix to take out Gyarados and Infernape...Weavile could be a problem though, so I ussually have to pack a Weavile Counter...

In ubers Forretress+Giratina is a great combo. every single weakness is covered by the other while one spikes and the other blocks rapid spin.

I've use Vaporeon and Salamence - the two compliment each other well, with Vaporeon Wishing to heal him up, and Toxicing those that might be bothersome to him.
