Ribombee is the fastest Sticky Web user available in the Ubers metagame, outspeeding all relevant users of Taunt; unlike Shuckle, Ribombee has some offensive presence thanks to Stun Spore and Quiver Dance. All of these positive traits make Ribombee a good option as a suicide lead for offensive teams. Ribombee's access to Stun Spore helps in matchups against faster foes such as Zacian-C and Eternatus, crippling them. It also helps to prevent Pokemon like Gyarados from setting up on Ribombee. Thanks to Focus Sash, Ribombee survives at least one hit, allowing it to set up Sticky Web most of the time and potentially cripple opposing Pokemon with Stun Spore. With maximum investment in Special Attack, Moonblast allows Ribombee to hit Dragon-types like Dragapult hard. U-turn allows Ribombee to escape bad matchups, like Excadrill with Rapid Spin, and bring a different teammate in safety. On the other hand, Quiver Dance improves Ribombee's offensive presence. After a Quiver Dance boost, Ribombee can break Zacian-C's Substitute, which could be annoying for Ribombee's teammates otherwise. Users of Substitute like Zacian-C and Gyarados are invaluable teammates for Ribombee because they can prevent Ditto from revenge killing, as it normally ignores the Speed drop from Sticky Web. Other powerful Pokemon like Haxorus are also good options for teammates. Ghost-types like Polteageist can block Rapid Spin, preventing Sticky Web from being removed. All of the aforementioned attackers benefit from Sticky Web dropping the Speed of the opposing Pokemon.
